Adrien

They pulled up by the road, and Alya walked up to the car as they got out.

"What was with the urgent text?"

Nino asked, and Alya looked straight at Adrien.

"Before either of you assume this is my fault, I had nothing to do with it. All I wanted was for her to take a shot with me, that's it."

Adrien frowned, what the hell was she talking about?

"I didn't want her to get drunk, I just wanted her to have fun."

"Marinette?"

She nodded, and he locked his car, motioning for her to come on.

"Where is she?"

"She's playing beer pong. I was hoping you could talk to her. She won't listen to me."

He felt his anxiety climb as they walked in the door, the music was way too loud, and the room was way too crowded. He followed her through the crowd to the kitchen, his gaze immediately landing on Marinette. She was giggling, and swaying. He had never seen her drink, he didn't even know she did. She threw a ping pong ball, and rung a cup. She grinned, and it was the other players turn.

"I didn't even know she drank."

"That's because she doesn't. This is her first time and she's already trashed. Try to get her to stop."

He glanced at Alya, before stepping up to the side of the table. She glanced at him, before focusing back on the game. That felt cold.

"Hey Marinette, having fun?"

"Hey loverboy. Are you?"

Oh the attitude. She had never called him that before, and from her tone it didn't sound endearing. The other player rang one of the cups, and she quickly chugged it. They missed the next shot, so it was once again her turn. There was only one cup left on their side, and she missed her first shot. He watched her movements, how sluggish they seemed, how uncoordinated she was. He turned to Alya, gesturing to Marinette.

"How much has she had to drink?"

She shrugged, and he clenched his jaw. How could she not know?

"Hey, Marinette, after this why don't we go dance some?"

He wasn't fond of the idea of being in the giant crowd in the livingroom, but if it got her out of the kitchen and away from the alcohol it would be worth it.

"Oh? Lila wasn't available?"

The crowd around them gasped, and he stared at her. What the fuck did she mean by that? She scored the next shot, and whoops and hollers replaced the 'Ohhh' sound. She took a bow, before grabbing a wine cooler from the table and heading for the living room. He followed along behind her, his anxiety climbing higher with each stagger.

"Marinette, can we talk somewhere quieter?"

She shook her head, and he grabbed her hand to keep from losing her.

"Mari, please? I just want to talk to you. Alone."

She looked back at him, and he smiled softly. She pulled her hand out of his, her smile anything but genuine.

"What do you want to talk about honey?"

He cringed at the slurring, and she turned away from him, walking farther into the crowd, as if she knew it would be uncomfortable for him. He didn't care. He'd follow her through the entire population of Paris if he had to. He caught up with her, instead of trying to talk to her this time, he just watched her. She was leaning, and she would stagger in whichever direction she leaned. She bumped against someone, and the guy turned, grinning at her.

"Well hello there."

Oh hell no. Adrien wrapped his arm around her waist, staring at the guy.

"Sorry about that."

He pulled her through the crowd, and down a hallway, opening the first door he came too. Luckily it was unoccupied, and it looked like Kim's room.

"Ugh, what's your problem?"

She whined, and he frowned at her.

"Marinette, I think you need to lay down. Sleep some of that off."

"You're just saying that because you want to get in bed with me."

He raised his eyebrows, and she finished off the drink in her hand. She frowned at it, and for a moment he thought she was going to start crying because it was empty.

"Please, you need to get some sleep."

"I don't need sleep. I rarely get it anyway."

She snapped, and he took a deep breath.

"Marinette, why are you acting like this?"

"You, obviously. You stabbed me in the back."

He crossed his arms, trying to keep his voice even.

"Do tell. What did I do to you?"

"Making out with Lila when you went to help her to the nurse? We could start there."

"First off, I did not fucking make out with her. She kissed me, and I immediately stopped it. Did she tell you that?"

Marinette seemed to soften some, and she dug out her phone, unlocking it. He watched her, and she handed it to him, crossing her arms.

"I don't care who you kiss. It's not my business. But we've been pretending to be a couple, and now Lila thinks she stole my boyfriend."

He stared at the photo, anger ripping through him. This was exactly like the time she kissed his cheek and posted it. That girl needed to grow up.

"Marinette I swear, I didn't kiss her. She kissed me, and I pushed her off. I didn't even know she took a picture."

Lila was really starting to piss him off. How was he supposed to get Marrinette to fall for him again when she was spreading lies like this? Marinette sighed, and reached her arms above her head, stretching. She started to lean back, and he dropped her phone, grabbing her hips. He tried to keep her from falling, but she was like dead weight. He gently lowered her to the ground, and she felt around her with her hands.

"I'm sorry."

She whispered, and he shook his head, brushing her hair from her face.

"I need you to work with me okay? I'm going to get you to sit up."

She whimpered in response, and he grabbed her hands, pulling her into a sitting position.

"I just want to lay down."

She groaned, and he got behind her, wrapping his arms under hers and dragging her back towards the bed.

"You're going to lay down on the bed."

"I don't wanna."

He sighed, lifting her and laying her down. She pouted at him, and he brushed his hand over her cheek. It felt way too hot.

"Just sleep for a little bit. Then you can get back up. Okay?"

She turned on her side, glaring at the wall. He turned away from her, searching around the room. There was a small trashcan by the door, and he grabbed it. He knew she was gonna need it. He turned, and her hand was on the button of her jeans, trying to unbutton them. He quickly pulled her hand away, and she looked at him with teary eyes.

"It's so hot."

"I know baby. But you can't take your clothes off."

She sighed loudly, and he sat down on the bed next to her.

"It feels like I'm in the ocean again."

"I'm right here."

She lifted her head, her eyes darting around the room.

"I want Kitty."

He smiled softly, it felt nice to be wanted.

"Kitty can't come over right now Mari."

Her chin crumpled, and his smile faded.

"Don't cry Marinette. I'll make you a deal. If you get some sleep, kitty will be here when you wake up."

"You promise?"

Her voice shook, and he nodded.

"Of course princess."

He flinched the second it left his lips, but she didn't seem to notice. He felt his phone go off, and he tugged it out of his pocket, his heart sinking. An acuma? Right now?

"Let me see."

He turned the screen towards her, and she squinted to read it.

"An acuma?"

She sounded worried, and he quickly turned his phone off.

"Don't worry about it."

Though, he was worried. The notification said that neither superhero showed up. Where was Ladybug? He looked down at Marinette, who had her eyes closed.

"I'll be right back okay? Try to get some sleep."

She nodded and he got up, stepping out of the room. He glanced into the crowd, looking for someone he knew, anyone he trusted. Rose walked by, and he reached his arm out to stop her.

"Have you been drinking?"

"No, I don't drink."

Relief made him sigh, and he gestured to the door.

"Marinette is in there trying to go to sleep. Can you please make sure no one goes in or out?"

Rose opened the door, peeking inside. Marinette had crawled under the blanket, facing away from the door.

"Yeah, of course I can. Where are you going?"

"I'm going to the store, to see if I can get something to help her sober up."

Rose nodded, pulling the door shut.

"Okay, just hurry."

He nodded, and quickly pushed through the crowd to the front door. He jogged to his car, and quickly pulled out onto the street. He just had to help Ladybug with the acuma, and then he could come back to help Marinette. He trusted Rose to watch her. He pulled into an abandoned gas station, and got out, walking around to the back. This seemed like a good place for his car to get robbed, but he didn't care. He just wanted to hurry and get back to Marinette.

Marinette

She drug the covers off of her, pulling the pillows into a form that resembled a body and covering it with a blanket.

"Marinette I strongly recommend that you do not do this."

Tiki sounded worried, and Marinette brushed it off. She'd be fine. She could fight an acuma in her sleep. This couldn't be much different. She stumbled over to the window, trying to get her body to sober up as much as her mind. She was in luck that Adrien decided to leave right after showing her the acuma. She forced one of the windows open, luckily they were on the ground floor.

"Marinette please. You're highly intoxicated, and it's dangerous."

"I don't have a choice Tiki. Chat can't defeat an acuma."

She pushed herself out the window, and landed on the ground. She forced herself up, stumbling towards the cover of trees. She hid behind a large one, and closed her eyes.

"Tiki-"

"Please Marinette, don't."

"Spots on."

She snapped, and within seconds she was Ladybug. A drunk Ladybug, but a Ladybug none the less. She got back to the streets, using her yo-yo to swing from lamp post to lamp post. She was much slower than usual, and she hated it. Of course hawkmoth had to pick the one night she tried to enjoy herself to release another acuma. She made it deeper into Paris, listening as hard as she could, but she didn't know what direction to go in. Maybe Chat knew where it was. She opened the yo-yo, and called him, walking as she did.

"My lady, where are you?"

"I am.... I'm not sure. Can you direct me to the monster?"

"It's in the park."

She hung up, using her yo-yo to swing again. Luckily, she wasn't that far. When she got there, the park was covered in what looked like a jungle.

"Here kitty kitty!"

She called loudly, and a loud rattling sound echoed in the trees. Well, that definitely didn't sound like kitty. Two giant orbs reflected in front of her, and she stared at them. Were those eyes?

"Uh... hello?"

A loud hissing sound echoed, and the thing in the trees lunged for her. Something slammed into her side, and she felt Chat's arms around her.

"Hi kitty."

"What the fuck? You just stood there."

He snapped, landing on one of the buildings surrounding the park. She frowned, tears gathering in her eyes.

"I'm sorry."

He stepped closer, and she wanted to back up. He took a deep breath, and raised his eyebrows at her.

"Are you seriously drunk right now?"
