Ellie The last thing Ellie had been expecting was to wake up. And she certainly didnât expect to see the sky.
âHey, welcome back,â a large face looked down at her, with Viskraâs voice coming from its lips.
âWhat did you do?â wondered Ellie in awe at this beautiful and massive young man.
âI had to build something that could blast through the walls that I couldnât test beforehand, as we needed to get the hell out of here before Steve realised heâd only got a stun gun,â explained Viskra.
âA stun gun?â Ellieâs head was fuzzy but they were beautiful words.
âYes he went off with a stun gun, heâll be back soon I think.â
âSo we didnât get very far?â she wondered why they were sitting on a cliff edge.
âTiny island in an apparently vast ocean. Weâre screwed, as you would put it,â he smiled down at her.
Ellie sat up and looked around her, at the ruined structure in the centre of the tiny island that was their prison. The prison had now appeared to have grown to the size of the island, but was still a prison.
âIâm sorry I couldnât be there for you, I really needed to concentrate,â Viskra apologised, his large blue eyes shining down at her, reflecting the ocean below. âI had to blast away your shackles without harming you and all I had was anti-matter, so I had to increase the shielding and decrease the antimatter to as small an area as possible. I had to keep you alive. I had to free you,â he took her face in his giant hand and looked at her so tenderly she thought her heart might break.
âBut what about your father? Wonât Steve go after him?â
âIf he was going to, he would already have done so by now, and would probably be dead.â
âDead? Steve? How so?â
âMy father doesnât think I know that he was an assassin before he met my mum. I know he can look after himself.â
Ellie laughed at the lies heâd told her to keep her alive, to ensure Steve didnât get the gun Viskra held in his other hand. Viskra had demolished their cells sufficiently to afford a good view of anyone arriving.
âItâs time, heâll be here soon,â Viskra said, taking the gun into both hands. âWe need to be ready to blast the next person that appears in the cell block.â
