Chapter 42: Appleton Heartbreak

Appleton HeartbreakWords: 1707

Folks, the 2014-15 St. Lawrence men's hockey team is a story I'm unashamed of telling because this team really had what it took to compete for a championship. Appleton Heartbreak is a story I'd invite a person who wants to be more involved in college hockey to read because this story that captures the soul of college hockey at its finest. This iteration of the St. Lawrence men's hockey team was, in my humble but very correct opinion, as good as the Vaughan era but lost to their alumni in this story which honestly crushed me to relive that part for an immensely talented hockey team.

This story, like I sad earlier, was a long time coming for this author to write because I love Greg Carvel and I miss him being in ECAC Hockey being a bench in our wondrous league. I honestly wish Colgate hired him to step in for the since retired Don Vaughan here in Central New York. Greg Carvel is my favorite coach in Hockey East right now as he leads UMass after leading his old school to this ECAC Hockey championship weekend appearance right here. St. Lawrence should give Coach Carvel a statue for what he did starting as a player in 1989. Two St. Lawrence alumnus went head to head in that St. Lawrence (Greg Carvel) and Colgate (Don Vaughan) game!

I hope you enjoyed this story as we saw St. Lawrence play competitive hockey night in and night out. Thank you for reading my story as we continue to celebrate the great game of hockey in this manner by writing right here on Wattpad. College hockey is the best sport in the world and I can't wait to see more of it in the future. This story was a blessing to write and I can't wait to share more stories in the future right here on the ZakCity Wattpad Channel!
