Chapter 1535
Sophia held the man's gaze, unable to detect any signs of deception on Marcusâ face. It seemed like
he genuinely didn't think there was anything off about their son.
âMaybe I'm just overthinking.â Sophia chuckled and speared a piece of fruit, holding it up to Marcus.
âHave some more fruit, Marcus. It's good to load up on vitamins.â
Marcus nodded, taking the fork from Sophias hand.
After seeing Marcus accept her offering, Sophia couldn't help but feel a sense of satisfaction. She
relaxed and stood up. âYou two enjoy your fruit. I'm going to see what I can whip up for lunch. It's
the weekend, and I don't have any plans.â
Marcus simply thanked her softly. It wasn't until Sophia was well out of sight that he gently placed
the piece of fruit back on the plate, uneaten.
Sophia, oblivious to Marcusâ action, headed straight for the kitchen. While opening the fridge to
scout for ingredients, her phone rang.
Balancing the ingredients in one hand, Sophia answered the call with the other. âHello?â
The voice on the other end was her father's most trusted right-hand man. âMiss, it's me.â
Sophia glanced over her shoulder at Marcus, ensuring he was preoccupied. She answered in a
hushed tone. âWell? What did you find out?â
Her father's man replied, âWe've confirmed it. The child with you now isn't the same Tristan.â
Sophia's brow furrowed at the news. âWhat happened? Tell me everything.â
âThree years ago, the woman named Ellinor didn't just have one child. She gave birth to triplets. Two
boys and a girl.
The day you and Mr. Marcus took Tristan to the park to fly kites, Ellinor happened to take her two
other children to the park as well.
Based on your observations, Tristan's demeanor changed significantly after that day. We believe that
you and Ellinor unintentionally switched the
children.â
Sophia was taken aback. They switched the children? Triplets?
That explained why Tristan seemed like a different person yet looked exactly the same.
Sophia had thought she had won when she kept the man she desired and took Ellinorâs child. Little
did she know, Ellinor had two more children after the first one was taken.
So, the child with her now was definitely not Tristan.
But what baffled her was that Marcus, who had always been so in tune with his son, didn't notice
the change. Was he truly oblivious, or was he pretending?
