Chapter 1731
It was none other than Bartlett.
Unlike the Bartlett she saw in the morning, who was dressed in a neat suit, the Bartlett in front of
her was now shirtless, with just a pair of jeans on.
Ellinor frowned. âMr. Rex, is it customary for you to strip in someone else's office?â
Beads of sweat rolled down Bartlett's muscular shoulders, adding an enticing touch to his already fit
physique.
âEllinor, isn't this the outcome you wanted?â He questioned.
Ellinor grimaced. âWhat outcome? I want you to leave, not hang around waiting for me.â
Bartlett smirked. âReally? I thought you wanted me to stay and heat up, so you could enjoy the
view."
Ellinor had seen shameless men, but none quite as presumptuous as this one.
âMr. Rex, are you always so full of yourself?â
Bartlett chuckled nonchalantly. âOf course not! Only when it comes to you, Ellinor. You've put me in
this state, so you're responsible for me now.â
Ellinor's expression hardened. Her amusement was gone.
This was the Blanchet Corporation. Her employees were waiting outside for her, and here was
Bartlett, brazenly shirtless.
What a spectacle!
âPut your shirt back on!â She ordered.
Bartlett, knowing this would irk Ellinor, moved a step closer. âNo, I'm too hot! Ellinor, how can you
make me wear a shirt in this heat? Are you trying to kill me?â
âIf you're really that hot, put on your shirt and leave! It's cooler outside! If you really refuse to wear
your shirt, feel free to strut out shirtless. But you can't be here and stand in front of me, half-
naked!â
Bartlett smirked. âWhy can't I be in front of you like this? Afraid you can't resist?!
Ellinor twitched her mouth in annoyance. âHave you no shame?â
Bartlett laughed lightly. âEllinor, we've known each other for so long, yet you still don't understand
me? If I had any shame, I wouldn't be chasing after you. I miss you every second we're apart, to the
point where I can't sleep. I've tried staying away from you, but I couldn't even last until this morning
before calling you. And now, you're torturing me in this heat?â
Ellinor frowned. âMr. Rex, I canât control what you think of me. But you should have some principles.
I'm a married woman with children. Your behavior is inappropriate!â
Bartlett held her in his arms. âI don't care! I don't care what people say about me. I only want you! I
want to have you as my own! I'm willing to try anything to make you mine!â
Ellinor, finally having had enough, kicked him in his special place. âI'm sorry, I couldn't hold back any
longer! I shouldn't resort to violence against a business partner, but today you crossed the line, Mr.
Rex. I advise you not to say such things, especially in front of me. Otherwise, I'll hit you each time
you do.â
Bartlett held his groin in pain and grunted. Weirdly, he then burst out laughing. âEllinor, I think I'm
falling for you more and more. What should I do?â
Ellinor shivered. âMr. Rex, do you have a masochistic tendency?â
Bartlett straightened up and pulled on his shirt. âNot with others, just with you. The more you reject
me, the more exciting I find it.â
Ellinor pulled a face. âThen you do have a serious problem. You should see a psychiatrist. I canât cure
you."
âNo! You can cure me. You are my remedy!â He insisted.
