"Yes, i had mine you?"i asks him while i made the bed.

"Yeah just now had the food."

"Mm, how is your work going?" i asks him.

"Mmm yeah the same boring meetings."

"Its going to be midnight there right. Go and sleep" he says to me.

"Its fine thiraviam."

"Gone to your room?" i asks hin.

"Yeah, have to grab the dinner."

"Mmm."

"So?" even i said the same.

"Did my parents or my brother did anything to you in these one week?" he asks me.

"No no."

"Why are your voice being dull kuzhal tell me."

"Am fine only."

"Today when i was strolling on our garden. My sister was also there for a walk. I just went to speak with her out of affection after seeing her with her bump. But then your mom ca.. Came and said that i shouldnt touch her baby bump or show my face . If i touch, something bad may happen.... Sin.. Since i was unlucky... Some... Somthing bad wil.. Will happe.. Happen to... Her c. Child....

Child.. " i says while crying profusely.

" Shh, common my kuzhal wont cry. She is a very strong woman right. Strong woman wont cry for unnecessary issues. My mom was nothing just a illeterate fellows who was disguised behind their literate faces. "

" Kuzhal dont cry, Kuzhal. Stop crying." he started to coo at me.

" How about i return to india and start fighting with my mom? "he asks me.

I laughed.

" You cant come" i says with a smile.

"Who said i cant come?"

"You will?" i asks him.

"If my kuzhal got into some problem means then how will i sit here without comforting her."

"I see." i says while nibbling.

"Am i that important to you?" i asks him with a thumping heart.

"Offcourse yes, you are my best friend right. So you have a great place in my heart." he says which little hurted me but then atleast this is enough for me.

"Kuzhal, look some people dont values us. And its completely fine we cant pease everyone. And its not our job too. Let them hate you, if thats what they want. But never ever cry for those people who never considered you. "

"Even my sister shivani didnt suppprted me saying anuthing. Even she turned away from me, as if protecting her child from me." I says to him.

"Shhh, kuzhal. I just now told you to not cry for them. Some times the superstitious beliefs will bind their literate selfs. And we shoudnt even worried about them." he says.

"So tell me, how many people you killed with your injections today." he asks me.

I glared as if he going to see m...

"Stop glaring. Thats the true right. My butt still paining." he says.

I laughs.

"You are just afraid of injection." i says.

"No am not."

"You are mister."

"You are just not accepting thats it."

"Am not afraid of it."

"Yeah yeah" i says with a smile.

"Kuzhal am saying seruously" he says in his whining tone.

I just laughed.

"How is your mom doing?" he asks me.

"Changing topic huu" i says.

He whined.

With that we both kept talking for hours until i sleep.

I smilingly walks inside the home, while reading his message.

"Arghhhhhh" i heard a painful moaning voice.

I looked up confusedly only to see a shivani who is shouting whos is sitting on the floor.

"Shivaniiiii" i shours and runned towards her.

"What ha.. Hapened?" i asks her frantically.

"I... I... Think..... My. W.. Water is broke... *Arggh*"

"Shhh kk, common... I will help"

"Ajay, athaii, maama" i shouts for them.

"N.. No.. O.. One in home. "

"Shit"

I cursed and made her to stand slowly.

"Common shivani, you can do it common. Slowly yes yes" i slowly says to her, she just holded my hands abd started to take her steps by putting her weight on me.

"Annaaa" i shouts for the driver anna.

"You will be alright" i says to her soon driver started the car.

"Anna drive fastly." i says to him.

"You and your child will be fine shivani."

"Arghhhhh"

"Pain is unbearable.. Arrghhh... Arghhh...."

"Swapna here" i shouts ar her, who is waiting for us alreasy with a ward boy.

"Everything is ready kuzhali, dont worry. Come" she says and with that we three took shivani into the OT.

I asked driver anna to inform the family as i tried lot of times but none picked the call.

"Shivani dont worry you will be fine."

"Arghh"

"How is she?" ajay asked me as soon as i walked out of the room.

"Doctor will inform everything. For now let us do our job. Dont worry please sit there. " i informs my in laws and aksed ajay alone to get inside the room and walked away to take the necessities.

After 5 hours, shivani delivered a baby boy, the whole room boomed with that small bubdle cryings.

Doctor showed the baby towards me

I pushed swapna to have a baby to clean up.

I dont want him to hear any bad talkings becsuse of me.

Swapna just glared at me and took a baby and started to clean him. Then doctor did sone general checks and then asked me to show a baby to relatives.

I gulped.

"Swapna" i called her.

"I wont"

"Please"

"You will never change. " swapna says and glared at me.

I follows her. First she handed the baby to ajay who just kissed the baby with his tears. Then she took the baby outosde to show my in laws and to my parents.

"Its a boy" she says and showed a baby.

With that everyone started to look for the baby. Afte sonetime swapna took the baby and walked inside even i followed her

"Bye kuzhali" i heard swapna.

"Thanks swapna. " i says to her

"Just dont talk kuzhali, do you think yourself as unlucky or what?. Why you didnt took your nephew on your arms?. Why are behavibg like them."

"I dont beleive anything like that swapna. Its just that i was already told to not touch or speak anhthing with shivani itself. So the same goes for her child too right."

"So then why did you helped her?"

"You are just thinking yourself as unlucky kuzgali. Why are you being like th..."

"No am not thinkibg like that?"

"Then why you didnt took that small baby in your arms?"

"I just dont want to get attach with him. If i took him today means i would really feel to took the baby in mu arms every day because he is my nephew swapna. But i was not supposed to do that in the sense am not allowed to do that. Simply i just dont want to get attach with my sister's son. You know me right swapna?, how much i love kids?. "

" But atleast you could have took him in your arms"

"No swapna, my family and his family wont like it except my mom. So am fine with this way. They will not allow me even to have him in my arms for sure. As i said i just dont want to get attach with him. All i want him to have a good in health thats it" i says to her.

"I dont know what to say kuzgali. You are such a good person but this society is what corrupted with its own set of rules." she says with a sigh.

"Okay bye kuzhali, we should start our tomorrow by afternoon. Lets see. Then bye." she said and walked away.

I smiled at her before wlaking away.

"Kuzhal i promoted as periappa" he says with a happiness.

"Yes mister thiraviam." i says with a smile.

"Ajay sent his picture. You know he is so tiny with just few hairs. He is looking way too cute." he lovingly says.

"Mmm"

"Did you seen him?" he asks me slowly.

"Yeah, i was the one inside the delivery room with a doctor."

"Wow so you got the chance to took him in your arms but not me.."

"No i didnt took him in my arms."

"Why?" he shockedly aksed me.

"You know right thiraviam, an not allowed to even sepak with my sister and even she didnt wanted me in first place. So do you think that she or our family will allow me to take him in my arms?. Since am a barren woman i would be nothing but a unlucky pers.. "

" Stop there kuzhal. You shouldnt talk something like that. Common you are a brave woman. Leave that. "

" Tell me, did you had your dinner or not? "

" It is 2 clock in morning "i says to him

" Did you had yours or not? "

" No i didnt "

" You woman, fine go to the kitchen atleast now have. "

" This is untime"

"You nurse, should have the food, you shouldnt be skipping it. Go now, its not like you have slept too right. You have worked so go and have now"

"Did you had yours?" i asks him.

"Not yet, am about to have."

"I got my noodles. Maybe you should prepare a dosa or something as easy dish."

"Am fin.."

"Are you going to walk down to kitchen or i will ask driver to go and pick up our maid to cook for you."

"Are you that serious."

"Damn serious"

"You are such a asshole"

"Am i?"

"Yes you are"

"Fine"

"Are you going or not?"

"Am" i shoitd at him.

After preparing the dosa, i walked back to my room to have a food.

"So tell me how many girls were proposed to you today?" i asks him.

As he always tells me that one or other woman will propose to him.

"Yeah today my secratray here did it."

"Really?"

"What did you said?"

"I said i already have a wife who is my very best friend."

"To what she said?"

"She said that she can be my girlfriend and aksed me to visit her over night."

"So sir is getting ready for that right?"i aks him.

" No no am not. "

" Maybe she should get some eye doctor appointment. Like seriously you are not some youth. You are a barred man, how can any woman can fall for you? "i asks him in high pitch while havubg ny dinner.

" You know am that smart and handsome... *Chewing* am hot. What else is needed. "

I rollwd mg eyes

" Stop rolling your eyes, your eye balls will definitely come out of your eyes one day. "

I laughed.

Like that we both kept talking with each other.

I opened my door and there stood Ajay.

What he is doing here?

"What happened?" i asks him with my straight face.

"Thanks" he says to me

I just nods at hin.

What he want now?

"Mmm, do you need anytjing to say?" i asks him.

"And am sorry for my every harsher words" he says in his low voice.

Mm nice.

"Its fine, am used to it" i says to him.

He kept looking at me.

"Baby is good now." he says.

I nods at him..

"I will be going, thanks once again. If not for you, i dont know what would have happened to my wife and my son. Thanks a lot. " he says and started to walk. But he again stopped.

What now?

"When you get sometime in between your work, why dont you come over  to meet a baby?" he says to me

I kept looking at him

"Your mom wont all..."

"No one will say anything. " he says and walked out.

"When you will be back to india?" i asks him.

Its been a week of baby. I havent met him because everytime there would be any one of our family members would be there. I just dont want to meet my sister son, and just to listen more hatred words from others.

Shivani is now in my parents home even ajay strated to stay more there. So here it will be ne and my in laws.

My in laws hasnt talked much with me and am not worried about it too.

"By next month end" i heard his reply.

"Mmm" i says while placing my bag on the study table.

"Are you taking sleep propelry or not?" he asks me.

"I am, without your snores actually am sleeping peacefuly" i says to him.

"You, crazy woman i aint snored anytime." he arugued with me.

"Yeah how would you know it. You are snoring" i told to him.

"Are you sleeping properly or nor?" i asks him.

"Without your endless questions am not able to sleep propely." he says to me.

There was a silence by then.

"I miss you" i told to him.

My heart again stadted to beat fastly.

"Even am too."

Thats it all the zoo animals are in my stomach right now. I feel..... Different.

"I havent never wished once to return to chennai soon, but now i wish." he says with a sigh.

'Please heart stay inside my chest dont pop out.'

I aint like him right?

'Yes you are not.' my mind mocked me.

"Then come back soon." i says to him.

"If its with me, i would have. " he says.
