Chapter 56

Nikami POV

"EH?!?" Yasachu yelled out, blinking towards the three of us before glancing back at Yuutsu.

"D-do you have a fiance too?!" Yasachu asked her.

"Pft, Silly Chu-chan, of course I don't. I was a commoner, which noble would actually try to be with me? Sure I got the girls… But they treat me as entertainment, and I sure am!" Yuutsu giggled before shrugging.

"Shu, why didn't you tell me that Sakuraso was your fiance." I stared at her for a while, Raijin also glanced back at Shukona.

"I mean, I already knew actually, Umi is my roommate!" Raijin exclaimed, hopping over to Umi and sitting next to him as she grinned.

"Well, you never asked. And also, I'm pretty sure you wouldn't really care." Shukona titled her head for a bit before glancing over at Umi.

"Greetings. Are you hurt?" She bowed down and smiled towards him.

"A-ah, hello to you as well. Uh, I'm fine. Thank you for being worried, Kurogane-sama and Shiromoru-sama saved me. '' Umi nodded, looking over at Raijin.

"Interesting… All of them are connected to the main characters somehow... " I mumbled to myself, before going back to my bed and sitting down there.

"Seriously?! Nika saved you? Hah! Of course she would! That's my girl!" Raijin finger guns towards me as she grinned.

"No, I am not, as I said I don't belong to anyone. And I didn't do that alone, Kurogane… She helped me as well." I glanced over at the wolf, nodding before quickly looking away.

Yasachu glanced at me, then back at Yuutsu. She felt angry, somehow. She didn't want both of them hurt, though… She felt a random rage inside herself, she was jealous? Of whom though?

"You did?" Shukona turned towards Yuutsu with one of her brow up, suspicious about it.

"Yea! I did! I only did it because of Shiromoru's encouragement though." Yuutsu answered her.

"Oh right! Something super cool happened in class! This little girl got a 25/25 of the power circle thingy!" Raijin pointed towards Yasachu with a huff.

I sighed, knowing this would happen.

"She is the main character after all, of course she would be overpowered.." I mumbled to myself, biting my lip as I did so. It was irritating to say the least.

"I'm… Jealous... " I whispered, my thoughts immediately coming out of my mouth.

"I hate it. I hate it so much. Just a small girl like her would-" I continued to mutter but Shukona suddenly yelled something.

"Why are you so proud of that?!" Shukona made her voice louder, glaring towards Raijin.

"She is a commoner! And she is something that powerful! She doesn't deserve any of that!!" Shukona pointed towards the small white haired girl and continued to glare.

"Shukona, wait a momen-" I tried to calm her down but I heard another yell.

"Hah?! So you're just so fuckin jealous of her huh?! So what if she is just a commoner? Accept that there are people that are stronger than you!!" Raijin exclaimed back.

As the two were yelling, Yasachu just kept on staring at them as she hid behind Yuutsu, the wolf was also conflicted on what to do.

"I am not jealous of a mere commoner! I was just saying she doesn't deserve such power! She's a lower class, Rai, she's a lower class no matter how much you turn it around!" Shukona pointed towards Raijin in an aggressive manner.

"So what if she is a lower class?! That doesn't mean she is lower than you as a human being! She is still human gotdamn it! There are gifted people in this world whether you like it or not!" Raijin yelled back, lifting up her fist and…

As I saw that Yasachu's tears were running down her face, I quickly snapped and made a sharp inhale.

"OKAY!! Stop it you two." That was the first time I ever raised my voice in a couple of years.

I took Raijin's fist, using my right hand completely covered the other skin of Raijin in ice, she flinched and glared at me.

Then she noticed what she was doing and made her clenched teeth into a frown, now distressed and guilty.

The five people in the room froze as I suddenly yelled.

"Rai, what in the world were you thinking? Were you seriously thinking of punching Shu?" I glared at her, taking my hands off her wrist.

"I just… Listen I-" Raijin grumbled looking down at her iced hand, she took off her gloves and fired it up to the point of slowly melting the ice off her hand.

"And you, Shu." I glanced over at Shukona.

"I already told you to treat Yasachu as a normal student and not as someone lower, look at what you were doing, you were yelling Shu. That was unladylike of you." I sighed, now turning towards Yasachu as well.

"And you, don't you think you can speak for yourself? If you want to survive here, then fight. Not just hide behind someone else and think that they will protect you, now look what you did, you made two people fight." I spoke towards the shivering small girl, tears now falling down her eyes.

"I-I'm so sorry!" Yasachu yelled out, crying as she started to run out of the infirmary with tears in her eyes. This was her fault, she made Nikami mad, she made her idol mad at her, she just wanted to run away from everything and go.

"Wait! Hey! Wait up!" Yuutsu was quick to follow Yasachu.

"I'm… You are right Nika. Forgive me… Forgive me for yelling." She bowed at us three, before running off to follow the two.

"I shall go apologize to that girl too." Shukona frowned, continuing to get out.

"Uh… I guess I should follow her too, I don't want my fiance to be hurt…" Umi cleared his throat, before standing up and following Shukona.

I huffed, looking over at Raijin who was still melting the ice off her arm.

"Okay, I'm sorry… I lost control again… I didn't want to punch her, trust me... " Raijin shook her arm, making all the remaining ice fly off.

"But that didn't change the fact you lifted your fist against Shu." I glared at her, sitting back down as I sighed.

"You know damn well that wasn't ME!! That was that fuckin coded personality, that… That wasn't me… Okay…?" Raijin sighed as well, sitting down next to me as she does so.

"Fine. I get it. A surge of anger came over you, since Shu is the villainess." I nodded in understanding, but still shook my head.

"You have to apologize to her later." I folded my hands and looked over to Raijin's hand, trying to see if any of the ice was still left.

"I'm also sorry for freezing your arm." I looked up at her, that tomboyish face grinning back at me.

"Geez, no need to worry, that was extra as fuck but that still threw me off and made me stop." She lifted up her hand and patted me to my amusement.

"Mhm." I nodded, still looking up at her, staring at her blue eyes that complimented my green ones.

"Your hand is warm." I spoke out to her.

"Well, uh, yea, of course! I'm a flame user after all." Raijin continued to have that grin on her face, as I blinked confusingly.

"How strange."

"Huh? What's strange?"

"You aren't irritating me."

"HAH?!" Raijin raised her voice, doing a small bonk on my head.

"Heeyy… I'm not irritating, okay nerd?" Raijin grumbled, ruffling up my hair.

"Don't make a mess of my hair prince." I scoffed, rolling my eyes jokingly.

"You know... " Raijin stopped, still looking down at me.

"I like this, it's calming… I don't feel angry… It's like, the flaming rage inside of me has been put out. It's… Nice." Raijin flopped on the bed, looking up at the ceiling.

"Hmm… I feel like that would be warm." Seeing her lay down like that, I spoke out those words.

"Ah."

"Huh?"

"What does that mean?" Raijin asked me.

"Cuddles."

"Wha-"

"Oh. I said that out loud didn't I-" I looked away, covering my face with my left hand.

"Yea… You did… N-not really your fault though! Uh, that curse thing. Or whatever…" Raijin turned red, quickly shaking her head.

"So uh, down we go!" Raijin pulled on the back of my collar, her being stronger than me, I fell down on the bed beside her. She chuckled and wrapped her arms around me.

"H-hey, I didn't say that I wanted to cuddle, get me off-" I gritted my teeth, turning over towards her and our faces were close. Our nose were touching, and I could see her clear and sparkly blue eyes. As I saw that, I stopped in my tracks and just stared.

"So beautiful." I blurted out.
