Alec and I left the park when it was sunset and we are already at my house.
"Goodbye Nikki! See you tomorrow" Alec says as I get down. I wave him back and watch him leave. He has been there for me since yesterday and he's nice.
I walk slowly towards the front door. With every step I took, a pit of fire formed in my stomach. I finally came upon the dreaded front door. I was contemplating whether to grab the handle or just go somewhere else but the door itself opened as if automatic and my mom's angry face showed up. I got angry and sad at the same time seeing her.
"Oh look! The harlot showed up! I hope you enjoyed yourself" she says in a sassy voice. She was so insensitive! I remained quiet.
"I hope you came back with everything intact my dear Nicole" she says with her voice dripping with sarcasm. I knew what she was talking about. I remain quiet and just look at her.
"Did you come back intact? Or you are missing something?" She asks with rage laced in her tone. Where in the world was dad? I was expecting him to be here! Holding her back and calming her!
"Look mom! Its not what you think"
"Its not what I think? " she asks clearly annoyed.
"I had an asthma attack" I say taking in deep breaths.
"Oh really? You think I would believe that stupid lie? The last time I recall, we got you a brand new inhaler! And your sister told us you always take it with you" Mom spits venomously.
"I know but it just came and a friend took me to his house. His mom looked after me and I just woke up" I reply disappointed.
"Sure sure sure! Continue the lies and the stories! But mind you! You wouldn't get away with this dear daughter!" Mom scowls before leaving into the house.
I sigh and enter. Trina was in the hall. She looks up at me.
I cannot decipher her expression but she gets up and walks up to me.
"Where did you go Nicole? We were all worried sick about you" she says and I sniff.
"I had an asthma attack Trina" I reply and she gasps.
"A friend took me to his house and his mother revived me" I deadpan.
"Am sorry Nicole! But I know mom doesn't believe you" Trina says and I nod.
"Who got you home?" I ask concerned
"Jake! He was really worried and went back to the clubhouse to look for you" Trina answers. Am glad nothing bad happened to her.
"I'll call him" I assure and go to my bedroom with a heavy heart.
I called Jake.
"Nikki! Where are you?" Jake says into the phone.
"Am at home! I'm okay don't worry"
"Where did you go?" He asks concerned.
I didn't want to tell him what happened.
"I gotta go! Trina needs my help" I lied and hanged up.
I texted all my friends that I was alright and I drifted off to sleep.

I wake up to my alarm clock ringing not feeling the least bit okay! My heart is still heavy from yesterday and I wasn't planning to go to school today in the shittiest mood! I wanted today to be special! A grand entry day! Not a sulking day!
I get into the bathroom and take a quick shower. I missed Alec's bathroom. The way it was huge and beautiful! After that, I got into a red kimono sleeved blouse, a pair of black jeans and a black and white double decker.
I fixed my hair up and curled it. Then I let it flow freely down my back. I grabbed my satchel and phone, then left to the dining hall.
I sat down beside Trina. Dad was no where to be found. Strange! He wasn't here yesterday too.
"Trina! Where's dad?" I asked.
"Oh! He went on a trip yesterday! He left in the afternoon" Trina replies
She looked beautiful in a blue round neck blouse and a pair of black shorts with black boots. Her hair was tied in a cute bun on top of her head.
"Where did he go to now?" I scoff. He doesn't stay at home for long!
"France! But he'll be back in a few weeks time" she replies.
Mom enters and serves us with pancakes. I eat my own slowly.
"Hurry up Missy! Trina can't be late for school" mom snaps at me and I sigh. I guzzle all the pancakes and wash my plate. Then I bolt to the Nissan Juke annoyed.
As soon as I entered, mom started the car and we left the house.
I released a breath I didn't know I was holding. I'm finally going back to those crowded hallways, the noisy cafeteria, the sounds of slamming lockers! I missed them. This two weeks at home was so boring even though I have been on suspensions a lot!
"Behave well Trina! Bye" mom says softly to Trina and she gets down happily leaving mom and I in the car.
The tension in the car is at its highest peak. It soon broke when we got to my place. I was expecting mom to say goodbye but she didn't so I just got down and walked into the building. I walked straight into the principal's office.
"You are already in Miss Anderson! Have a seat" the principal says on seeing me and I oblige.
"I believe your dad told you you would be signing an agreement the moment you return" she states and I nod.
She picks up a green file and brings out a printed document. She places it in front of me with a stylish pen.
"The moment you sign that document, you will be under the rules of the school! If you break a single rule, you are out" she states clearly and I swallow hard.
"Read it! I'll just continue with my work! When you are done signing, leave it here" she says and points to a stack of files on the other side if the table.
I skim through the contents of the document and finally releases a deep breath. I pick up the pen and scribble my signature on the dotted line at the end of the page.
Then I placed it exactly where the principal directed me to place it.
"Thanks ma'am" I say and walk away from her table.
"Nikki! Is everything okay? You don't look good" she says before I reach the door.
She noticed I'm not in a good mood today! Today I'm in sulking mood.
"Yes" I say quickly with a small nod.
She studies me for sometime but fore dismissing me.
I got out of the office. What are my friends going to say if I tell them I just signed an agreement! My dreams are shattering!
I looked at the time on my phone and its half past seven. I go straight for my locker and key in my combination. I open it and grab my class schedule.
Then I picked up the books I needed for first class. I closed the door only to come face to face with KATE!!!! I groan. Not today! Am already in a bad mood.
"Hello Alpha! You're back from your exile ! I came here to welcome you back and perhaps if you have forgotten how to navigate your way around, I can help" she says in a sickly sweet tone and flashes me a fake smile.
I smirk at her.
"Thanks Kate! But that's not necessary"I say in a sickly sweet tone as well. People have gathered around us now watching the scene.
" Yesternight you disappeared from the party! And your friends were stranded looking for you!"Kate spits with a smirk.
"I know that Kate! You don't have to inform me! But they know am alright now" I reply with fake enthusiasm.
Kate smiles pleased.
"Do you have anything else to tell us please?" She asks and gestures to the crowd.
"No. Nothing else Kate" I reply surprised at the way she was acting today.
"Are you sure? Maybe something important like a document?" She says with a smile playing about her lips.
What was she trying to insinuate? Does she know something about the agreement?
"Like.....an ......agreement?" She asks me and smirks evilly at me. My eyes grow wide. How did she know? Its supposed to be between the school and my family. No one else. How come?
"I don't know what you are talking about Kate! I'm in a hurry so if you would excuse me..." I trail off trying to walk away but she blocks me.
"Just admit it Nikki! You know what I'm talking about! I'm giving you ten seconds to start or I'll tell everyone myself" Kate threatens and I chuckle. I remember Alec's advice.
"Is this some kind of joke? Am sorry but I'm not in the mood for this" I retaliate getting pissed off. This girl always managed to get me annoyed every morning.
"Your time is running oh dear old Nikki! Spill it" she says looking at her watch and everyone glares at me expectantly.
I sigh. I didn't want to break the news to my friends and fans like this but thanks to dear old Kate, am in a fix right now. I catch a glimpse of Alec standing beside his friends and Aaron with my squad. They're eyes were demanding answers. Jake too was behind a short brunette looking at me. Fuck! I'm squashed!
"Time up! I'm telling them myself and if its a lie you'll prove it to me" Kate sneers and claps.
"Listen up everybody! Our dear Alpha is hiding a secret from all of us but thankfully I discovered it! And since she doesn't want to reveal it to you, I will" Kate yells and whispers begin.
My blood was boiling. I wanted to knock her down! But unfortunately a stupid agreement had me tied to the neck! And she was using it against me! I was now vulnerable again. The old Nicole Anderson who was bullied, tormented, tortured and looked down upon. These were my greatest fears. To fall! To be humiliated like this and worse by my worst enemy.... Kate Sanders! I swallow the bile rising in my throat.
"Nikki here has signed an agreement with the school to be of good behavior! We all know that in order to qualify as a bad alpha, you need to be a rule breaker! But with this agreement, she cannot break a rule or she will be thrown out of the school" Kate announces and the whispers become louder.
"How could she hide this from us?" I hear someone say
"I can't believe this" another said.
"What the fuck? A stupid agreement?" Another said.
"So my dear people! Is she still qualified to be an alpha?" Kate asks and they are silent.
"So Nikki! Time to prove me wrong! You can have a fight with me and let's see if you don't get kicked out" Kate sneers. Tears form in my eyes
"Go on! Hit me! Punch me! Kick me!" She urges and everyone watches closely. God! She's such a bully! I didn't want anything like this to happen. This is the last thing I wanted.
"You see? She can't! She is tied! You're weak Nikki! What a shame! I always told you! You will never be like Tigress" Kate says through gritted teeth.
I smile in response ignoring the tears that threatened to fall.
I clapped and everyone is caught of guard and Kate raises her eyebrows in confusion. I wasn't going to let her have the satisfaction of bringing me down.
"That was a wonderful speech there Sanders! Thanks for letting the cat out of the bag! You got 100%" I say mimicking the way Mr Cartwright sounds when we finish our speech and the crowd laughs making her look like a fool.
