Chapter 52: Chapter 52:

I walk slowly into the school building not enthused. Trina is still missing and I'm worried sick.

I take my books from my locker and shut it coming face to face with Jake. I roll my eyes.

"What do you want? Are you here to remind me that you want to overthrow me so badly? Cause I'm not in a good mood for that" I state deflating and turn to walk away but he grabs my hand and I punch him in the face. I was surprised with my reflex but I guess my punch affected him in the jaw. He holds it and glares at me. Then he chuckles

"Good punching Nikki" he compliments

I smirk in response even though I regretted it.

"Just leave me alone okay?" I sneer at him  and he smiles.

"I....I heard your sister disappeared" he states and I just glare at him

"Maybe I can help you find her"

I laugh.

"You are so cunning aren't you? You want to help me find my sister? After threatening to overthrow me? You didn't even believe  me when I told you the story of me and Alec" I spill in his face and he frowns slightly.

"You cannot possibly expect me to believe that shit" he spits and it pricks my heart.

"You know what? I don't need your help! You are .....a jerk!" I yell at him and walk away.

"Cody can help! He can hack into Trina's phone and get her location" Jake hollers after me whiles I file into a classroom.

"Nikki! Any news?" Troy asks me and I shake my head.

"This is not good" Kimberly adds up.

I can't think straight. I don't know what to do. Should I contact Cody as Jake said? No! They will use that against me! But Trina also needs us.

I plant myself on a vacant chair with my mind racing for possible solutions.

"We searched too but we didn't find her! I know this is hard for you" Kimberly tells me and I nod.

"Its my fault again Kim! I left her in her room alone"

" It's not your fault! Stop blaming yourself all the time! "Troy chides.

" what do you expect me to do then? Huh?"I retaliate and they are silent.

"Hey buttercup!" Alec greets and I nod. I was currently buying some refreshments before going for my next class. My first class has already ended.

"I can see that you still haven't found your sister with that expression on your face" he states the obvious.

I take a deep breath and say yes.

Alec sighs.

"I have also seen the jackass who tried to rape her at the party" he states and I gasp

"Where is he?" I demand angrily.

"His name is Randy" Alec spits and I feel anger rush in my veins.

"He is over there!" He adds and points to a tall figure with dark hair and brown eyes. He was lean and kind of cute.

I stride towards him but Alec holds me back.

"Back off Alec!" I yell at him earning glances from the students around.

"You are not going to make a scene now! remember the agreement?"

I chuckle

"Do you think am going to let my sister's rapist have his liberty? Just because of an agreement?" I whisper yell at him.

"He didn't rape her! He was about to!" Alec corrects

"Well he did! If Jake hadn't shown up, he would have!" I whisper yell at him

"What if he was drunk?" Alec defends

"Alec! Are you defending this...." I trail off trying to find a perfect word that will suit him

"Asshole? I remember when you kicked his manhood and called him that" Alec replies with a chuckle and I laugh at the memory.

"Maybe that would be an appropriate word! But I'm making this scene happen" I tell him and turn to face Randy but he is gone and I sigh.

"He is gone! Fuck!!!" I yell

"His luck" Alec says with a shrug beside me.

"Its  your fault! You distracted me" I say and hit him in the chest.

"Me? We were just talking" Alec says and I groan walking away. I look around hoping to spot that Randy guy!

"Are you seriously looking for him?" Alec says out of the blue

"What else do you think I am doing?"I drawl sarcastically

I spot him with a group of boys laughing. I smirk and walk towards him.

" Nikki! Stop it"Alec hollers after me.

"Hey Randy!" I say sweetly and he is surprised

"Randy, you are friends with the alpha?" One of the guys asks with a smile

He is speechless

"I would like to talk to you Randy! Like right now! Meet me at the parking lot" I state ignoring his friends who were checking me out.

He smiles

"Sure Nikki" he says and follows me to the parking lot. I try to quench the fire burning inside me but I can't.

"So why do you want to talk to me Nikki?" Randy asks and it infuriates me the more.

"You'll know soon" I say sweetly with a fake smile. He smiles back.

When we make it to the parking lot, I kick him in the stomach and he is caught off guard.

"You tried to rape my sister you idiot!" I yell and punch him the face.

"What are you talking about?" He asks holding his fractured jaw. Blood rushes into his mouth.

"I'm talking about last week Saturday you moron!" I yell and grab his collar.

"Look! I don't know what happened last week Saturday but please if I did anything wrong,  forgive me" he pleads and it makes me sick the more. He doesn't want to admit it.

"Don't play dumb with me Randy! You tried to rape my sister!" I state and hit his head against the window of a Ford explorer. I add a few kicks in his legs and punch his stomach.

"Who is your sister?" He demands groaning in pain.

"That girl you wanted to take advantage of at the party! The one with the brown hair!" I spit and he remembers

"Please  let me go and I'll tell you everything." He pleads and I leave his collar alone.

He takes in a deep breath.

"It wasn't my intention to rape her okay? She looked a lot like my girlfriend and I just wanted to have fun that's all! I was drunk and hallucinated! When I was about to you know, a blond guy showed up and beat me up! Then I collapsed and I didn't see her again" Randy says.

"So where was your fucking girlfriend then?" I spit

"She was at home. I thought she was your sister! I swear! Look" Randy spills and shows me a picture of his girlfriend on his phone.

I could see the striking resemblance between the two. Its just that Trina is much thinner than this girl. I nod understanding.

"But why were you forcing her? You beat her up! I saw the wounds" I demand with hurt.

"I wasn't in the right state of mind then! I didn't know what I was doing"

"Do you do that to your girlfriend?" I ask.

"At times" he responds. How could he treat his girlfriend like that?

"I hope you are not lying to me or you are going to regret it" I spit

"I'm telling the truth! Why would I try to rape a random girl? You can ask my friends, am not like that. Its just that, your sister  deceived me"

I sigh and nod

"Alright"

"So how is she?" Randy enquires

"She is depressed from what happened" I reply.

"Oh I'm sorry! Can I see her?" Randy asks and I snort

"Are you serious? She is gonna freak out if she sees you! Besides you can't cause she disappeared and we are searching for her"

"I'm so so sorry! I'm to blame"

"Of course! You are to blame and just pray my dad will find your explanation plausible so that he wouldn't put you in jail"

"No please! I don't want to go to juvie" Randy begs

"Depends on my parents" I shrug.

"Fuck!" Randy yells and covers his face

"And if something happens to my sister, its gonna be your fault Randy!" I tell him and walk away.

I feel for him in a way. He didn't mean to rape my sister. He was just drugged and he didn't know what he was doing.

"You've got good skills Nikki! I saw you attack Randy in the parking lot" Alec says with a smirk

I shrug with a smile.

"I thought you only knew how to fight girls but now I'm afraid of you"

"Oh please!  I'm not going to beat you"

I sling my satchel lazily on my shoulder.

"So what did he say? Did he have any plausible explanation for what he did? Because I saw you two talking" Alec demands and I sigh

I spot Jake walking to his locker with his whole crew. Cody stood there engrossed in his phone. Should I tell him? Caden stood beside him winking at a few girls who just got his attention.

"Nikki!" Alec says and snaps me out of my thoughts.

"Oh yeah he did" I say resuming back into reality.

"You look like a fish when you stare at people. Like your eyes are about to pop out" Alec compliments and I burst into hysteria

"I don't!" I scold him when I recover.

"You do! And you better stop it! You were staring at the twins again and I'm becoming more jealous"

"There is no need for you to be jealous!" I assure him.

"So what reason did Randy give?" Alec says going straight to the point.

"He told me he was drunk and Trina looked a lot like his girlfriend so he was deceived and wanted to have fun with her" I reply summarising everything. I'm good in summarising!

"You believe him?" Alec asks doubtful.

"Yes I do! He showed me a picture of his girlfriend and he admitted to me that, that's the way he treats her which I think is horrible"

"I agree with you!" Alec says.

"Its just that, he is still responsible for what your sister is going through right now"

I nod in agreement.

"This is so confusing! Its like he is guilty and at the same time innocent!" I spit

"Exactly!" Alec concludes.

"Let's just leave it! Right now, we need to find Trina"

"Yes! That's true" Alec replies.

"Alec! Do you think Cody can help me?" I ask deflating slightly

"Cody? But why Cody? You know he is your enemy! He is part of the 'other' gang"

"I know but Jake told me this morning that he can hack into my sister's phone and find her"

"You shouldn't have spoken to that scumbag! Anyways, I cannot do that! And I know Cody is capable of hacking devices. I've heard a lot of rumours about it but......" Alec trails off

"But what?"

"I don't think its a good idea! It could be a trap! Remember they will do anything to overthrow you" He warns and I feel my blood boil.

"I know but finding my sister is a priority Alec! Not some stupid title!"

"Just relax okay? Am sure the police are looking for her and other people are searching. You will find her sugar! I promise you" Alec convinces and I nod.

"Alec! I warned you to be at least three metres away from my girl!" Aaron's voice booms from behind and Alec chuckles

"Sorry bro! But your girl is a magnet! I cannot stay away from her" Alec taunts making me feel butterflies in my stomach.

"Oh really?" Aaron says and pecks my cheek.

"Hey beauty! How are you doing?" He asks

"As you can see, she is devastated" Alec replies

"Why? You haven't found Trina yet?" Aaron asks puzzled and I nod.

He deflates.

"I don't know what to do anymore!" I say honestly

"I need some time alone" I add and walk away.

I stride into the parking lot feeling broken. My sister has to come back! She has to. School is over and  am going back home. I head to my car.

"Nicole!" Someone calls and I recognize its Jake's voice.

I turn around to face him and he looks worried.

"I know you hate me and all but I can't stand seeing you suffer" Jake says and I remain quiet with my face still stern.

"I know you think am weird! But I don't understand myself sometimes even though you hurt me, I can't stop thinking about you" he adds and I smile

"I'm glad you know" I state.

"I know we would never be the way we used to be but lemme help you find Trina! Cody is willing to help."

"Do you think I'm stupid? You are just trying to be nice so that you can take advantage of this and overthrow me!" I yell raucously at him

"What? No! Don't you care about your sister?"

"I do care! A lot!"

"Then just accept our offer and stop worrying about the title." Jake states and I sigh. He looks honest.

"I need to think about this"

"Come on Nikki! Trina is in danger here!" Jake states.

I sigh.

"You know she is like my little sister Jessica"

"Just make a decision" Jake urges.

"Jake!" Kate's voice booms and I see him roll his eyes.

"Babe" Jake drawls lazily and pecks her cheek.

"Oh hello loser!" Kate says to me and I smirk.

"What are you doing here?" She asks Jake.

"I was just talking about a topic with her" Jake lies.

"I better go now" I state and enter my car. I slot the key into the ignition and turn it on. I drive out of the parking lot.

I take my time to look around and see if I spot my sister. What if she disguised herself? Or worse, left the state?  I get rid of all the negative thoughts and head home.

I park my car in the garage and walk into the house.

"Any news?" I ask as soon as I enter the house.

"No news yet!" Mom answers and dad is on the phone.

"You need to keep looking please! I can't bear to lose my daughter!" Dad yells into the telephone. The vein on his neck is strained and he looks exhausted.

"Alright! Thank you" he adds and drops the phone with a heavy sigh

"What did they say?" Mom demands

"Its  still the same! They haven't found her yet!" Dad spills and my heart skips a beat.

I need to come up with a solution! Tomorrow's Saturday! We need to find her before tomorrow! I head outside.

"Nicole! Where are you going?" Dad hollers after me but I don't respond.

I get into the garage and enter my car. I have only one solution...and that is...Cody!
