We are all spellbound. We don't know who is going to speak first.
"The baby is not born yet but yes. We are going to have a baby" Alec drawls out.
Jake grabs him by the collar and shoves him into a wall nearby making me cringe.
"What kind of a beast are you?" Jake yells at him and Alec shoves him onto the floor.
"You got a sixteen year old girl pregnant?" Jake blurts.
"Shhh...someone can hear! Its supposed to be a clandestine" I scold Jake. He gets up and calms his breathing.
"You are like a wolf! You devour any girl that comes your way! First it was Kate, then Nikki and now Madison!!! And I heard there are other girls apart from them" Jake screams at him.
"Would you shut your hole and listen to me?" Alec spits.
"I wouldn't! Madison was so simple and innocent! But then you devoured her!"
"You don't understand anything so just shut it and listen to him" I scold Jake this time around with a death glare and he chuckles.
"Father would be really ashamed of you! You disgraced him! He is going to be a laughing stalk! The critics! Oh God the critics would have nothing good to say about him" Jake yells out and Alec is still quiet listening to all the crap he has got to say. I know its true that Alec is a player but he is responsible and is willing to be a good father to his unborn daughter!
"You are the worst thing that could ever happen to Father! You only cared about yourself! You were selfish! You use girls and dump them like used tampons"
"Jake! Stop it! You don't know what you are saying" I chide him and he laughs.
"This guy is no good Nicole! I've heard all the rumours."
"Its a rumour! It cannot be true! Those girls are probably saying that to get back at Alec! You are being too judgemental! Everyone makes mistakes" I defend.
"But we all know he is a player! Right Alec?"
"I was but now I've changed" Alec replies firmly.
"Oh yeah right! You have changed? You fucking got my former boss' daughter pregnant!" Jake whisper yells.
"That was a mistake! But I'm willing to accept it"
Jake remains quiet.
"You are willing to accept it?"
"Yes and that is why I'm leaving the country as soon as my little girl is born" Alec says with a small smile and Jake is dumbfounded.
"Oh its a girl?"
Alec nods.
"I heard you saying you would be going to Hawaii and California" Jake says calmly
"Yes. So that Father wouldn't be disgraced" Alec replies and Jake has a thoughtful expression on.
"See? I told you not to be so judgemental! Alec is willing to be a good father and two, he doesn't use girls and dump them like used tampons" I spit defensively and Alec gives me a grateful smile.
"Is this the reason why you broke up with Nicole?" Jake asks and I swallow hard
"Yes. It was difficult losing her but we were just having a fake relationship" Alec replies with a sigh and a smile.
Jake nods understanding everything that is sinking in.
"Sorry bro" He finally says and Alec pulls him in for a hug.
"I'm still happy because she still ended up with my friend,Aaron"
Jake's expression darkens but he brightens up again.
"So can we reconcile and be real brothers?"Jake asks and I smile.
" sure "Alec replies and they shake hands giving each other a pat on the back whiles laughing.
" I'm so sorry for being mean towards you all the time"Jake apologises.
"And I'm sorry for calling you names and fighting with you"
"Brothers?" Jake asks
"Brothers" Alec confirms and I'm overjoyed they finally made up but I'm still angry at Jake for deceiving me. The tocsin goes for start lessons and we all head to Literature.
"I'm really going to miss Thomas and Lucas when I travel" Alec says with hurt evident in his voice.
"Its okay brother, we can talk to you on Skype and you'll get to see them" Jake convinces him as we sit down.
"I know but I've been with them for such a long time and letting them go is another thing! I will miss their fights, their bad jokes, playing games with them and we pranking ourselves in the house all day long" Alec says with a chuckle.
"I understand what you feel! I also miss my mom and my sister now that I'm here" Jake tells him giving him a soft sympathetic smile.
"A sister? Does it mean we have another sister?" Alec asks astonished
"Yes we do! The only princess in the midst of boys" Jake replies with a slight chuckle.
"So what's her name? How old is she?" Alec asks
"She is Jessica and she's fifteen"
"Nice" Alec replies
"Unfortunately, I wouldn't get the chance to see her" Alec says
"You will cause we will all be heading to England as one big family to see her and my mom on Christmas"
"Seriously? How come dad never told me about it?" Alec queries
"It was supposed to be a surprise to you all but then I already ruined it"
"Its alright! But I can't wait"
I remember Jake told me he wanted me to go with him to England on Christmas before our fight. Maybe he was sincere with his feelings for me. I don't think I'll go with him any longer since we are back to being separated.

"So this is how the frog will be dissected. It will need a lot of patience though" Jake tells me as we head to our last lesson for the day...Biology. He is presently showing me a video on how to dissect frogs. Its like we are speaking much more calmly to each other now but Jake still has that wry expression on his face.
"I think I can handle it but I really appreciate all the efforts you are putting into this project" I say gratefully and he glares at me. I'm still happy he and Alec are getting along well now.
"I did it for the grades" he replies simply without looking at me. Then he entered the Biology lab with me on his tail. Nervousness builds up inside me as I see a set up of frogs. One on each table. The tables were labelled and I soon found our table which was labelled, Mr Winters and Miss Anderson in bold block letters.
It was situated at the far end and I liked it. I got into my lab coat and gloves ready to chop some frogs.
Jake too does same and the other students around are fully prepared.
I catch a glimpse of the frog that lay in front of us. It wasn't so big like the other frogs I had seen on other tables but it wasn't so small either.
It looked like it was sleeping. Did they inject it with Anesthesia? Or its dead?
"So students! I am thrilled to have you all here about to dissect some frogs for me! These ones aren't poisonous. They are the normal ones and I want us to dissect them so that we can observe their internal organs" our biology teacher begins. He was clad in a lab coat too.
I take in a deep breath. This is it. The project is about to start.
"I believe you read on it and you have some knowledge about it. I'll be going round giving scores. And maybe if you need assistance, I might help you! There is no need to be nervous! Just do what you know"

"Okay I guess we are good to go. You have only thirty minutes to dissect the frog and view its internal organs! Make sure you do not kill it or you get an F! Start work"
I'm frozen on the spot just looking at the piece of crap in front of me.
"Nicole! Aren't you going to start?" Jake asks me and I shiver grabbing the tools nervously. The scalpel slips out of my hands and falls onto the floor.
Jake takes it and hands it to me.
"What are you doing? Time is running!" He scolds but I am still frozen.
"This isn't the time to get back at me! Now get to work. Remember, L.S" Jake whisper yells
"What's L.S?"I ask in a whisper since our bio teacher wasn't far from us.
"You've forgotten?"He scolds.
"Oh yes! Longitudinal section "I snap remembering and he rolls his eyes.
"Now get to work Nikki" he whispers and I nod numbly facing the poor innocent frog that lay there. It was about to be chopped by cruel humans and I don't want to.
I brush the sharp part of the scalpel against its skin and it opens up in longitudinal section and I heave a sigh. Jake watches my every move and I continue to shiver.
"Go on! He is coming" Jake whispers in my ear referring to our teacher and I nod.
I open the place wider with the retractor and study its internal organs.
"Open it much wider!" Jake whispers in my ear and my hands tremble. He tuts.
"Just open the damn thing!" He whisper yelled in my ear
"I can't! I feel its not right" I retort in a whisper.
"Mr Winters and Miss Anderson! Please be quiet! People need to concentrate" our teacher warns
Jake rolls his eyes and I hear his jaw tick. He snatches the scalpel and the other tools from me.
"Step aside" he commands in a whisper and I do. He continues with the experiment and I feel so sorry for the frog.
"Ten minutes more" our teacher alerts and Jake has the frog widely opened with its organs on display. I feel like puking. It wasn't so bad though. At least, the frog was still alive.
I look over to Alec's table and he was also looking at the organs with his partner. Troy too was finding it difficult to open his frog but then Aurora helped him out and I smiled.
"Its done" Jake whispers to me with a grim expression.
"Thanks" I reply in a whisper and he snorts but it wasn't too loud.
I glance at the frog again and its not dead yet. The organs are in good condition.
"Five minutes" our teacher alerts again going round looking at our works. He studies our work long enough with a grim expression before he wrote something on his sheet and moved on to the next table.
"I hope he was impressed" Jake whispers with a sigh.
"I hope so too" I whisper.
"Sorry Mr! Your frog is dead! I told you not to kill it" I hear our teacher scold a guy in front and his partner.
"I swear I did not kill it! I don't know what happened" the guy pleads and I look on with clear sympathy.
"The cut alone is wrong! You didn't prepare for this! Did you?" Our teacher scolds and the guy is quiet but he continues to beg saying he doesn't want an F.
"Sorry Mr! But you and your partner have a D instead! Next time, prepare well" he states simply and leaves their table for another.
Why does he care so much if the frogs die? I admit I still feel pity for them. I look at ours and its still alive. Wow, its so strong!
"This cut isn't correct! But you managed to have the frog alive!" Our teacher states grimly and everyone laughs. It was Troy's table. Aurora blushes in embarrassment.
"It was just a mistake with the scalpel sir please" Troy pleads. Our biology teacher was a hard nut to crack. He wanted things to be done in absolute perfection.
He studies the frog for sometime as if he was waiting for it to die making everyone snigger.
"Luckily for you, its not gonna die anytime soon so your score is secured but I'll deduct a few marks from it"
Everyone sniggers as he writes on his sheet and moves to the last table which was Alec's.
He studies the frog grimly just like the way he did with ours for a long time and finally writes the score and turns away.
The tocsin goes for school over.
"Alright! Here are your scores!" He states whiles clearing his throat noisily to create more drama making the atmosphere tense.
"I was impressed with most of you except for a few who didn't prepare" he states and his eyes avert from us and land on Troy and the guy who killed his specimen. I bit my lip.
"Okay so going straight to the point!
Mr Russell and Miss Rogers, you had an A" he states and I hear Alec's partner yelp in surprise and she laughs giddily. Alec is smiling and I can feel the joy he has radiating off him.
"Mr Winters and Miss Anderson...." He trails off and averts his eyes from the paper to look at us. I suddenly feel nervous and tense. My body begins to shudder as my heart pounds erratically against my ribcage.
"You have an A" He concludes and I shriek. Jake heaves a sigh of relief beside me and I feel so happy. If we had a D or an F, Jake would have blamed me for it. Sincerely, I thought I had screwed things up.
"Mr Bennett and Miss Reed, you had an A as well" he announces and Troy hugs Aurora as they laugh together.
"We still had an A!" Aurora shrieks and I'm happy for them.
"Yes! Thanks paps " Troy says referring to our teacher and we all snigger at the stern glare he gave Troy.
"Mr Bennett you are warned" our teacher says.
He continues with the scores and some had disappointed looks whiles others were more than happy.
"Okay! So I'm done! You are all dismissed! See you next Monday" he states placing the sheet in his file and we watch him peel his lab coat off his body.
We take off our gloves and lab coats. Then we all exit the room waving lazily at our teacher who was busy studying his script.
"Why were you doing that in there?!" Jake practically yells at me as soon as we are outside walking in the parking lot.
"Doing what?" I ask him confused.
"You didn't want to cut the specimen" Jake retorts and I chuckle.
"I'm sorry. I was just afraid and I felt pity for it"
"Girls" he says shaking his head.
"What's your problem? We still had an A!" I rebuke.
"Thanks to me" he says proudly with an eye roll.
"You actually saved the situation! Thanks a lot"
He smiles.
"So we are left with the English project. Where are we going to discuss it?" I ask him.
"I have a place in mind! Follow my car" he states sternly and goes over to his car. I go over to mine and soon we were on the road with me following his car.
