Saturday is finally here and everyone is going crazy looking for an outfit to wear. I'm planning to dress up as a Vampire. Trina borrowed my black cat outfit. She said she wants to wear that one tonight cause her school will be having a Halloween Fright Night.
I don't know what mom and dad are planning to wear. I saw dad carving some huge pumpkins down there and mom was busy filling a glass bottle with candies.
Okay so I hope it has worked. I look at my hair in the mirror and I smile. Perfect! It is red and black now. The red is really glossy and it shines in the light. I got the red hair dye yesterday for my outfit. I wanted to dye everything red but Trina said I should dye it partially red and leave the black in. And I think it was a good idea because I look good.
"Whoah Nicole! Your hair looks great" Trina blurts when she enters my room. Since she will be wearing the cat costume, there is no need for her to style her hair.
I give her a grateful smile. She sits on my bed and just admires my hair. I flip it this way and that way.
I go to my closet and pick up a pair of net see through black leggings,a red top and a black flare knee length skirt. I got some red wedges and lay them around.
"I like your outfit! Jake is gonna die tonight" Trina says with a giggle.
"Did I tell you we already made up?"
"You did?" She asks with her eyes growing wide.
I nod and she squeals.
"What happened?" She asks
"Let's just say, the project did the trick"
She chuckles
"I knew you two were meant for each other"
"Maybe" I reply and narrate everything that happened last night and she went crazy.
"What do you do with Scrawny kid now?" Trina asks and I laugh.
"You are so mean Trina" I say when I recover hitting her lightly with my pillow.
"Okay Aaron" she says giggling.
"I don't know Trina" I say with a sigh.
"Its gonna be a catastrophe if you do not do something soon"
"I know but what do you expect me to do?"
"Tell him the truth before it's too late"
I sigh.
"Nicole! You better do it! I'm giving you the whole of this week to tell him"
"I'll try" I tell her with a small smile.
"I think Mason likes you" I quickly chip in and Trina turns pale. Then she chuckles.
"Whoah Nicole! Where in the world did you get that silly idea?"
"I saw it myself. The day before yesterday"
"Okay were you spying on him in school?"
"No I wasn't but I saw him looking at you when you were making your way to the building. And then he talked with his friends and got red stained cheeks"
"Do you mean he....he blushed?" Trina stutters out.
"Yes!" I squeal and Trina squeals along but then she stops dead serious
"Are you sure he was looking at me?" She asks doubtful.
"I think so. You were the only girl passing at that moment"
Trina squeals.
"Oh My God!!!" Trina yells and covers her face.
"But I think he is shy to approach you! I wish you two get tangled in a project or something"
"I wish that too. It will be so cool"
"Remember that I don't really like his sister and I'm not accepting her as my sister in law"
"That would be the problem! His sister is such a meanie! The last time she came to our school to pick up Mason, she created a huge scene. One of the geeks accidentally poured her soda on her and you should have seen what she did to her! It was horrible!!!"
"I'm not surprised. She is a monster"
"I don't really like her. She commands her brother like some servant" Trina continues and I snort.
"Let's forget about her okay? Let's go carve some pumpkins!" I tell Trina and she yelps as we go to the kitchen.

I completed my whole look with a little eye shadow and red lip gloss which had a cherry smell. I look in the mirror and I look flawless in my new Vampire look. My hair is tied in a high ponytail tail with the red stripes in it showing. My red lip gloss matches my red top and blush on my cheeks and my icy blue eyes match with the black eye shadow and eyeliner. My black flare skirt matches my black net leggings under and the red wedges on my feet look absolutely beautiful.
"Nicole! I'm...." Trina stops when she sees me with a gasp escaping her lips.
"Oh. My. God" she enunciated the words stunned. She was dressed in the black cat outfit and it fitted her to my surprise.
"Nicole you look great" she finally blurts recovering.
"Thanks. You too"
"Let's get going!" Trina yelps and I grab my car keys.
Its 8pm already. We walk out of my room and I spot mom and dad sitting in the hall with no costume on.
"Have fun kids!" Dad hollers to us.
"Take care" mom joins.
"We will finally have the house to ourselves Lorraine" I hear dad whisper and mom giggles.
"Yes Harold" she says through giggles. I roll my eyes at them and walk out of the door with Trina to the garage. We got in my car and left.
"I love Halloween! I wish we could celebrate it everyday" Trina says as I drive. People were wearing amazing costumes walking on the streets holding jack o lanterns.
"Yeah. But I love Christmas too" I tell Trina
"Yeah and New year's day"
I smile.
"Slowly the year is coming to an end. So many things have happened already" I tell her.
"Life changing things you mean! For you. Tomorrow is 1st November! Christmas will be here soon. How do you find this year?"
"Its different. Its Life changing" I reply.
"Well it's been the same for me."
"Why don't you change it tonight with Mason?"
"You think so?"
"Yes sugar! You can make this year a better one"
Trina sighs.
I park at her school and she gets down saying good bye and I promised to pick her up after the programme which ends at six in the
morning.
I got to Troy's clubhouse later and the place was booming with music. I get down from my car and walk inside. People were jamming to the music inside. I couldn't spot my friends anywhere. Not even Aaron. Maybe that's because they look different. But I must say people look good and unrecognizable.
Huge jack o lanterns were placed at vantage points and black cats lined the walls and balls painted like human heads were everywhere. Skeletons were all over with creepy dolls.
Then someone grabs my waist. I yelp in surprise and the person whispers in my ear
"You look stunning"
I recognised the voice and looked around to see him dressed like Captain America. I smile.
"Captain America! Please don't grab my waist like that again! You scared the hell out of me"
He chuckles slightly.
"Okay Vampire! I'm sorry! I don't want you to suck my blood anytime soon" he replies in his deep tone.
"So what inspired your costume Aaron?" I ask doing a once over.
"Cause I know you like spiderman"
"I just wanted to wear this! What about you?"
"I also have the same reason"
"Okay. Let's go party!"
Aaron and I walk through the crowd.
"How did you even recognize me Aaron?" I ask as we approach a table.
"I smelt your cologne nearby and I knew you were here"
"So you sniffed to find me?"
"Maybe"
I chuckle."are you a dog? "
"I don't know"
"Aaron! Who is this?" A guy dressed in a black panther costume asks and I recognised him as Danny.
"This is Nicole" Aaron replies.
"Oh my gosh! Nicole you look great"
"Thanks Danny"
"How did you know its me? People found it hard recognising me" Danny says
"One. Your face Two. Your voice" I reply
"Oh" Danny says realising.
"People thought he was really black panther when he arrived" Aaron says with a chuckle making me giggle.
"Where is Troy and Kimberly?" I ask him.
"Over there dancing like chickens" Danny says and points to them. Troy was wearing a suit with red on top and a white shirt with a red paint in middle. Kimberly was dressed in a pink tutu with a pair of fake wings at her back and a small tiara was on her head.
"What's the name of their outfits?" I ask trying hard to guess the name.
Danny chuckles.
"Troy says his outfit is themed, man stabbed in the stomach" he tells me and Aaron and I laugh uncontrollably.
"Is that the reason why he has a red stain in front of his white shirt?" I ask Danny.
"Yeah! He said he made the outfit himself."
"And....and Kimberly? What is she wearing?" Aaron asks through laughs.
"She said she is the queen fairy in a pink tutu. She even has a pink wand in her hand"Danny tells us and we burst into hysteria.
"Oh my God! My cheeks hurt" I manage to say after laughing so hard.
"They are really weird" Aaron adds up.
"I'll be going now! I need to change the song! See ya" Danny says sliding over to the DJ area.
"I need to drink something! Can you get me some punch please?" I ask Aaron.
"Sure babe! Stay right here" He says and dashes to the kitchen. I dance to the music Danny was playing.
The crowd roars and jams to it.
All of a sudden, a hand grabs my waist and swings me over a shoulder like some paperweight material carrying me away.
"Hey! Who are you? Put me down!"
The stranger doesn't oblige but keeps on walking.
"Put me down you kidnapper!" I yell at the person hitting his back with all my might.
"Put me down! Aaron!!!" I yell but he is no where to be found. I shouldn't have let him go.
" Put me down! Put me down! I'm begging you. Oh no! Aaron! Aaron!"
We finally appear in an empty room and the stranger puts the lights on.
He finally puts me on the ground. He is dressed like batman.
"Who the heck are you? How dare you carry me like that?" I practically yell at the stranger but he doesn't reply.
He crashes his lips against mine and I am tongue tied. Our lips move in perfect sync. It was a familiar kiss and the cologne reminds me of someone. I push his chest back a bit to stop the kiss. I look at his eyes and its him! The love of my life.
"Jake?" I say softly now at peace it wasn't some random drunk guy who brought me into this room to rape me.
"Yes beautiful" he says in his cheerful voice. I chuckle.
"You frightened me" I scold him.
"But it was worth it! You look gorgeous in your outfit"
"I like yours too! You look great! Did you buy it?"
"Yes. Alec and I actually went together. Alec bought a superman outfit and I bought this one"
"Where is he anyways?"
Jake sighs.
"In the hospital"
"Why? Is he sick?"
"No not him! Madison had a discharge of blood a few hours before the party and she was rushed to the hospital"
"Oh my God! I hope nothing bad happens."
"I hope so too. Maybe he might not make it! You should have seen how scared and concerned he was" Jake tells me.
"What about Thomas and Lucas?"
"They are planning to go trick or treating" Jake says with amusement.
"IÂ miss going trick or treating" Jake says sadly.
" Me too! So why did you bring me here?"
"I just wanted us to have some private time together!" He replies and I scrunch my eyebrows.
"Aaron would be looking for me by now!" I scoff.
"Its not a big deal. Maybe he would just think you left for the house or something"
"No! He would be worried sick about me! He specifically told me to wait for him"
"So do you prefer to be with him all night?" Jake asks striding towards me and pulling me closer to him. He has an evil smirk on his face and I feel butterflies erupt in my stomach.
"I....I didn't mean that...I..." I trail off having a verbal disorder. I couldn't process what to say well just because Jake was just a few inches away from me and I can feel his cologne and body heat exude off him
"Shhh.....don't talk! I know what you want to say" he replies with a small smile and steps backwards.
"Okay, I'll spend only ten minutes with you! Cause, 1. I can't leave the party downstairs
2. I can't leave Aaron worried sick down there. Deal?"
Jake gives me a lopsided grin. He looks so much like batman in that costume.
"Make it fifteen minutes" he suggests
"No"
"What about Twenty?"
I roll my eyes. "No! Only ten"
"Twenty five?"
"Jake!"
"What? I'm just suggesting"
"Okay, I'll make it fifteen"
"No! Make it thirty"
I sigh." You are really difficult!"
"No I'm not"
"Okay so what do we do now?" I ask him looking around the room. It's a small medium sized bedroom with the walls painted indigo. There was a TV set and a desk. There was the bed which Jake was lying on and a small door that led to a washroom.
"We can do anything" Jake says with a wink.
"Okay! Let's ask ourselves questions. In?"
"In" Jake replies and I join him on the bed.
"I'm starting with my question" I point out and Jake shrugs.
"Shoot"
"Do you still have feelings for Helen?" I ask
He stares out of the window in the bedroom for sometime.
"I still like her and appreciate her for what she did for me. I'll always remember her but I don't have feelings for her. My heart belongs to you and you know it"
I fight a grin that was threatening to spread on my face but my heart instantly melted when he said that.
"My question!" Jake says and I nod for him to go on.
".....ummm....did I really hurt you? During those times when I got mad at you and was being extremely rude to you?"
"Yeah you did! I felt like I didn't really know you. Plus you joined forces with Kate and you were all trying to overthrow me with your new gang"
"I'm sorry! I didn't know what I was thinking! I was full of jealousy and hatred but I wanted to overthrow you because..."
"Because?...."
"I wanted to protect you"
I furrow my eyebrows.
"Protect me? How?"
"You wouldn't understand"
I sigh with a heavy shrug and just lie back down.
"So did you feel guilty when you couldn't get me a birthday gift?" I ask next.
"I did. But now, I have something for you" Jake says with a smile
"What did you buy for me?"
He brings out a box which was orange and black.
