Nicole POV

"No no no! Break the eggs in this!" Alec's mom scolds handing me a blue bowl and I oblige breaking the eggs in it.

"I'm sorry" I apologize.

"It is okay dear" she says and washes some carrots under the running water from the faucet into the sink.

"How is Madison today?" I ask Alec's mom. She went to check on her this morning and I'm curious to know if she is alright. And yeah, today is 19th December! I'll be going with Mr Winters to the police station to file a report.

"She is alright! There is no pain now and the baby is in good condition" she tells me as she whisks the eggs I had just broken.

"That's great"

"Yeah. It's rather unfortunate to see a young girl like her dealing with pregnancy troubles but I can't say much because it is my own son who got her pregnant"

I could see disappointment written all over her face.

"Don't be so disappointed Mrs Winters. Alec didn't wish for it to happen"

"If he had at least listened to me and had stopped bringing all manner of girls into this house, this wouldn't have happened! I wouldn't be surprised if another bimbo shows up and tells him she is pregnant" she says exasperatedly. I chuckle slightly.

'Don't talk like that mother! You make me feel bad "I hear Alec's voice at the doorway and his mother turns abruptly nearly dropping her knife.

" well its the truth! If you hadn't been flirting and playing around, none of these would be happening and you would be with Nicole!!!"

My stomach churns when I hear her say that last sentence. Alec's expression softens.

"You are right" he admits softly and takes a deep breath.

"I failed you mother" he adds with tears in his eyes. He looks at his mom  for one last time and leaves.

His mom is too livid to notice how sad her son is. If I were in his shoes, I would have done the same thing.

"Mrs Winters,  I think you were mean"

"That is the only language my son can understand! Being mean to him"

I shrug and continue to chop the onions.

"Mom, what are you preparing for breakfast?" Lucas asks as he opens the refrigerator and removes a glass of lemonade.

"Can't tell you! You'll find out later"

Lucas shrugs and walks out with his lemonade.

"Isn't he cute?" Alec's mom asks and I just smile.

"Yeah he is" I reply

"When I gave birth to him, he was so adorable! Alec too was like that. So cute and cuddly"

"What about Thomas?"

A small smile creeps onto her face.

"Thomas was such an angel when I gave birth to him too. But he cannot be compared to Alec and Lucas's cuteness" she says with a giggle.

I chuckle along.

So we are finally done with the super breakfast Alec's mom decided to prepare for the family and I help her transport the food to the dining hall.

"Honey, you should have let the maids cook" Mr Winters grumbles as we lay the breakfast comprising of pancakes, omelettes, bacon and sausages. Madison sat at the table. She gave me a weird look before leaning into Alec who still had that sad face.

"Come on! It is not a big deal! You know I love to cook and Nikki here helped me"

"Thank you Nicole! For helping my wife! She is just too stubborn"

"My pleasure" I reply and sit next to Lucas.

Madison shared the grace and we began eating. It reminded me of how I would sit with my family every morning to eat breakfast with them. I feel tears sting my eyes. But I want to know why my mom called even though I'm still angry with her.

"So as you all know, today is the day I'm going to file the report" Mr Winters speaks up.

"What report?" Lucas asks scrunching his thick eyebrows.

"Have you forgotten that dad told us Jake has been kidnapped?" Thomas reminds

"Oh yeah!"

Alec is quiet. He stares at his mom for sometime then shifts his gaze to his dad.

"Will you come with me son?" Mr Winters asks Alec

"Depends! You know I don't want this to happen now" Alec chides

"We need to go to England on 22nd! Tomorrow is 20th! We have two more days! And I cannot cancel the trip" his dad states firmly. Tomorrow is 20th? OMG! Trina would be turning fifteen tomorrow. I release a heavy sigh. I wish I was at home to wish her and give her a birthday present! But I'm not welcome anymore. My mom's words replay in my head.

"You heard me Nicole! Get out and never come back"

"You heard me Nicole! Get out and never come back!"

I swallow the piece of sausage in my mouth.

"Whatever" Alec says but I wasn't listening to the conversation since I went to another planet. His dad sighs.

"He is your brother! We need to get him out of there son!" His dad convinces. His mother is quiet and she watches Madison devour her pancakes.

"Daddy is right Alec! I don't want him to cancel this trip! Means a lot to me" Thomas says.

"Okay! But if anything happens, don't tell me I didn't warn you" Alec states and his dad nods.

"I'll just stay at home with the kids and Madison till you three get back" Alec's mom pipes up sweetly.

"Thanks honey!"

Alec and I are currently sitting in his daddy's limo heading towards the police station. His dad is sitting next to his chauffeur and I'm with Alec at the back. He still has that dejected look on. I'm sure what his mom said pricked his heart and made it bled.

"Alec! What's wrong?" I ask tentatively as I watch him stare out of the window. His head tilts backwards and his eyes meet mine.

He offers me a fake smile. I know a real smile when I see one.

"Nothing! I'm fine"

"Are you sure?" I ask again, poking his cheek as I do and he chuckles slightly at my gesture.

"I'll tell you later Nikki" he promises and I smile. He better! The car pulls up at the police station and we alight.

We enter the station and sit down as we were about to be interrogated. It began in less than five minutes and Mr Winters hands the officer the six photographs of Tigress smuggling drugs. I told him what she did to Jake and I too! I gave her address,  her phone number and everything they needed to find her. Surprisingly, the officer recognised Tigress's boss in the picture.

"We have been trying to trace this man but he keeps on relocating! Its good we have one of his servants now" the officer said

"And we promise you that your son will be in good condition"

"Err....officer! Its not only Mr Jake Winters but also Damian" I quickly cut in.

"Who is Damian?" Alec asks

"He was also kidnapped?" The officer asks

"No! He helped me escape" I half lie. "Please don't arrest him! He is innocent"

The officer nods.

"Well noted" he says.

"But I must thank you! We can finally trace this man and put him in jail! Apart from being a drug dealer, he murdered Mr and Mrs Wilson! We actually found out recently! Plus, he got rid of their son, Harry Wilson! We are still searching for him though"

What a horrible man! He murdered a couple?

"That is good to hear! So when will I see my son?"

"Tomorrow"

"Thanks officer"

He smiles and dismisses us. They are going to arrest Tigress today or tomorrow! Yes!

Alec takes powerful strides beside me and he is the first to get back to the limo.

"Thank you dear for giving us all those evidences" Mr Winters tells me as we walk more slowly to the limo.

"Please don't give me all the credit! Thanks to Claire too"

He gives me a smile and we sit in the limo. Then we were on our way home. I need to thank Claire for helping me out! I'll thank her as soon as I'm done talking to Alec. I say home because I live with the Winters now. And maybe, I might become Mrs Winters soon.

"You promised to tell me what is bothering you" I remind Alec as soon as I enter his room. He sits on his bed and ducks his head whiles ruffling his hair.

"What is bothering you Alec?"

"Everything!" He yells back and I flinch. I wasn't expecting him to shout at me.

"I am a loser!" He states and pushes a vase. It tumbles onto the floor and breaks. He doesn't end it. He yanks the pillows off his bed and throws it over. Then he peeled off his white comforter and threw it away. He's gone mad. I watch him shove his lamp  off his bedside table and it tumbles over and shatters.

"Alec stop!" I yell but he doesn't listen. He takes his pencil jar and throws it at the  wall. I watch it shatter into a thousand pieces. Then he takes his apple laptop.

"Stop! Not the laptop"

"My dad can buy another one!" He scoffs and smashes it on the floor.

I watch in horror as he adds more effect and stamps on it until it is completely destroyed.

"Are you crazy?" I yell at him.

His amber eyes meet mine. He is breathing heavily. He begins to stride towards me with a smirk on his face.

"Alec! Are you okay?"

He grabs my waist and jams his lips against mine. I'm caught off guard and push his chest but he doesn't break away. I turn my face away and it breaks the kiss. I'm breathless and look back at him for answers.

"I miss you" he says softly.

I furrow my eyebrows at him.

"I feel so jealous right now! I wish you were my girlfriend" he says loosening his grip around my waist.

"I'm a loser! I lost you to my brother because of my careless actions! My mom was right" he says and I watch him pick up a table and he throws it over.

"I thought I could finally have you but then a pregnancy shows up" he spits annoyed.

I'm speechless as I watch him demolish most of his things that could cost a fortune. He rubs his face and offers me a small smile.

"I still love you Nikki. I cannot get you out of my heart"

"I'll just leave" I say and head for the door.

"Don't go! I want you to stay here with me. At least for an hour?" He pleads.

"Alec you need to concentrate on Madison!"

"I know but just stay for an hour please?"

I sigh and nod walking back into his room.

"First we need to clean up this mess you created" I point out to him looking around the cluttered room.

"Can you please hug me?" He pleads ignoring my suggestion.

I hesitate at first but seeing that cute face of his begging me to hug him made me do it. I hugged him tight.

"Thank you Nikki" he says when we break apart.

"Welcome"

"Now we clean up" he says and I smile.

I picked up his pillows and placed them on his bed. Then I took his white comforter and lay the bed again. I watch him sweep the broken pieces of glass. The shattered laptop is still on the ground.

"Won't your dad get angry for smashing the laptop?"

"He will but I'm sure I'll get a new one" Alec says with a shrug.

"That is waste of money!" I chide

He chuckles slightly.

"Its not! Besides, my dad doesn't care"

"It still doesn't mean you can destroy things! Do you know how much this could have cost? Someone doesn't even have one"

"You're right" he says picking up the remaining pieces of his laptop.

"What are you gonna do with those pieces?"

"Throwing em away?" He says with a light shrug.

"Just give them to me"

He looks at me perplexed before handing me the pieces. Maybe I can repair this somehow.

"You cannot repair it! It's not like a jigsaw puzzle" he teases and I snort because I thought I could fix the pieces together like a puzzle.

"You need to be more responsible"

He sighs and comes to sit beside me on the bed as I try to fix the pieces together.

"You ruined it! Totally" I scold him as I fail to fix one piece.

"And you are wasting your time attempting to fix it"

I sigh.

"I think you are a real brat" I spit in his face and he chuckles.

"That is true. How did you know?"

"Your actions"

"Well my dad spoiled me a lot before the devil came in to spoil the fun. Then he got spoiled too and then Lucas also came out of nowhere to destroy Thomas's fun"

I chuckle amusedly.

"Is that the reason why you call Thomas, devil? Because he came to stop your parents from spoiling you?"

He grins.

"Yes! Apart from that he is very annoying and authoritative! Also, he is spoiled than me."

No wonder he was so mean!

"Unfortunately for him too, Lucas also came to spoil the fun for him and now he is the one enjoying most of our parent's attention" Alec says with a chuckle and I laugh.

"You three are spoiled brats!" I tease and he smiles.

"What about you? Your parents never spoiled you?" He asks

"A bit but not in excess"

He chuckles.

"Hey! That's the right way to raise a kid! Make sure you don't turn my goddaughter into a sassy brat!"

Alec laughs.

"I wouldn't counsellor" he mocks and I glare at him.

"And you need to stop loving me! Madison and my goddaughter need your love more than I do"

He frowns instantly.

"The truth is, I don't love Madison and you know that"

I sigh.

"Well you need to start loving her! Its  high time you erased me completely from your heart"

"It is difficult Nikki"

"But it would be easy if we don't see each other again!" I suggest.

He sighs

"And that would happen when I move to Hawaii" he says.

I nod in agreement and play with the keyboard on the laptop.

"I have to go to Claire's place" I quickly say and shuffle in his bed.

"Your time is not up yet!" He teases.

"Besides, its snowing heavily! You cannot drive"

"Okay but can I use your phone to call her? Mine is with Tigress"

"Sure! You're lucky I forgot to smash it" he mocks handing me his iPhone 11.

"Do you have her number?" I ask whiles looking through the phone book.

"Yes I do"

I smile when I see it and call her.

"Hey Alec!"  Her voice comes on.

"It's not Alec.....its Nikki"

"Hey! Why did you leave the house like that? You left a note but I was worried sick! Cody and I looked for you everywhere!"

"I'm sorry but I had to take care of Tigress"

"So have you reported her?" Claire asks

"Yes I have. She will be in jail by tomorrow"

"That's good news! But you still need to be careful"

"Sure"

"So how was your hang out thing with Cody?"

Claire giggles.

"It was awesome! He made me laugh most of the time"

"Claire! Are you dating him?"

"I think so! I don't want to be a loner"

I giggle.

"That's great! Cody is a good guy"

"Yes he is! The best"

"Talk to you later! Gotta finish up something okay?" Claire says and hangs up.

"Claire is dating Cody?" Alec asks astounded

"I'm also perplexed Alec! But they really fit as a couple. What do you think?"

"Yeah but I never knew those twins could fall in love! They looked reserved and awkward." Alec says and I laugh.

"I think Cody is more flexible and easy to go with than Caden! So if any of them doesn't want to fall in love, then it should be Caden" I tell him and he laughs.

"You're right! Caden's heart is like a rock! I've never seen him flirting with a girl even though most of them like him" Alec says chuckling.

I laugh.

"What if he is in love with a girl?" I ask

"I don't think so but I would say that whoever that girl is must have very powerful charms to attract such a guy"

I cracked up.
