Chapter 12: Chapter 10 | 🍒

The Baby Sitter | MinsungWords: 16922

Monday

Felix reached for the muffin rested on the table, taking a bite to fill the air with something other than silence. He'd loved to have kept Jisung here for as long as possible, but the younger couldn't help feel his friend was supposed to be somewhere else.

"Jisung, don't you have babysitting today?"

"Yeah but Minho only needed me at

like one o'clock, I've still got time."

"Jisung.. it's two thirty now."

"What?!"

Jisung pulled out his phone and shook the water off the screen to read the time. Felix was right of course, and he also had a few missed calls and texts from Minho.

MinMin💞: Hey Sungie, are you on your way?

MinMin💞: Be careful coming in the rain

MinMin💞: Jisung, is everything alright? You're over an hour late

"Fuck, he had a meeting

tonight too."

"Go then."

Felix set down the cake and pulled Jisung up to his feet, his hands getting wet from the water. "Do you want to shower and change before you go, you could catch a cold out there." The blond shook his head, making droplets rain all over the living room.

"No, but are you sure you

don't want me to stay?"

"Ji you have to go, stop worrying

about me, I'll be fine."

"But Felix-"

"Han Jisung you better shut up and get

out of that door before I kick you out."

Felix shoved the older towards his door, acting in such a joking but also serious way that Jisung didn't know whether he should laugh or be terrified. It was worse than ever outside, and the younger felt uncomfortable sending his friend out into the torrential weather without a shower.

"Wait, Ji, come back inside. Get a shower and I'll drive you to Minho's." Felix took hold of Jisung's shirt again, but the older wouldn't let him.

"Felix you are in no state to drive, go to bed and rest, I'll be fine." Before the younger could protest, Jisung hurried down the steps and into the pouring rain. It may have only been half past two, but the thick layer of clouds covering the sky had blocked out the sun almost entirely. It was dark, wet and gloomy, which only made Jisung's mood worse. Ignoring Felix's cries for him to come back, the blond pressed forward down the street, arms wrapped around his chest in an attempt to keep even a little heat to him.

Really he should call Minho, maybe ask the older to come pick him up or at least tell him why he was late, but Jisung had so much already running round his head. For once he didn't want to go and babysit; he wanted to stay with Felix. Although he had not shown it in front of the younger, seeing Felix so pale and ill-looking, so tired and broken, had hurt Jisung deeply. He'd crushed his one true friend's hopes and light, and he couldn't even fix it at the given time. The blond was so tempted to turn and go back to Felix, stay with him until it was all better, but even he knew it wouldn't be that simple.

Soon the Lee's house loomed into sight through the darkness, the lights of the front living room still blazing. Jisung felt weak, but he got to the door, bringing a shaking hand up to ring the bell.

Minho looked up from the carpet when he heard the noise at he door. Heihyun and Heijin heard it too, as they stopped reading from the book they were studying to look up too. "Jisung." The brunette scrambled up, rushing to the door and opening it. Jisung stood there, drenched from head to toe in rain water that made his clothes stick to his skin. He was quivering from the biting cold weather, but the way his eyes illuminated when he saw Minho was all the older could've asked to see.

"Jesus Christ Jisung you're soaked," Minho said as he practically lifted Jisung through the doorway, bringing him into the safe warmth of the house, "Where have you been?" The blond clutched Minho's top and opened his mouth to say something, but no words came out. His face creased as he squeezed his eyes closed, producing a loud sob and burying his already wet face into the brunette's chest. Minho didn't say a word, instead letting Jisung cry into his shirt. He pulled the small boy closer in a hug, not minding the feeling of his own clothes dampening.

Heijin and Heihyun came out of the front room to investigate, hanging back when they heard the heavy wailing coming from between their dad's arms. "Dad," Heijin called, peering up at Minho as the brunette turned his head slightly, "is Sungie okay?"

"Yes baby, but could you go get some towels from the bathroom, and Heihyun go fetch some of my clothes from the dryer." The two boys nodded and went to get the stuff. Minho started to stroke Jisung's wetted hair, rocking the boy from side to side.

"Shhh, it's okay Jisung,

I'm not mad at you."

"He.. Felix, Felix was so, so..

Minho, he was.."

The blond couldn't finish his sentence as he continued to bawl, drenching both himself and Minho even more than before. The older didn't understand what Jisung was on about, but knew it was clearly serious. Something started pulling on his sleeve, and Minho looked down to see a white fluffy towel staring up at him. "Here you go dad," said the small voice of Heijin from behind the mass of material. Heihyun appeared beside him too, a bundle of comfortable looking clothes bunched

in his arms.

With the boys' help Minho managed to get Jisung to go shower and change into some clean clothes. While he was doing so the older got to work putting the boy's sodden uniform into the washing machine and cooking up some warm food, as well as calling up his work to cancel his meeting. You couldn't clearly tell if Mr. Chwe was irked by this or overjoyed, but frankly Minho couldn't have cared less; right now Jisung was more important than work.

Up in the bathroom, Jisung had just stepped out the shower and was busy drying himself off. Picking up the clothes Minho had left him, the younger inspected them closely. The hoodie was massive on his tiny torso, shrouding him in a heap of fuzzy cotton, but it still was wearable. The sweatpants however would not stay up around his waist, and would slip down past his hips too. Giving up, Jisung chose to just wear his underwear. The hoodie was long enough to cover them anyway, so all you could see was the blond's short legs, cute round knees and feet that had some fluffy socks on them.

Taking the towel with him to dry his hair, Jisung trotted down the steps and headed into the living room. Minho had made some food and had arranged the cushions and blankets so they were set up like a little barrier across the sofa, all ready for sitting on. The sight made the blond's heart twang with pain from the memory of Felix, and how he had done the same for his friend. It was almost as if Jisung thought he didn't deserve a similar treatment.

When he saw the tiny blond come through the door, dressed in his own hoodie with his hair still wet and his legs exposed, Minho found himself staring for a little too long and thinking a little too much about how utterly cute and innocent Jisung looked.

"Stop it."

"Stop what?"

"Staring at me like that."

"Like what?"

"Like you want to eat me."

"You know what they say," Minho sighed deeply as Jisung came and sat next to him, "if you want to eat something you can't, it means it's a really good looking thing." The younger laughed and shook his head, giving Minho a sense of achievement for getting him to smile. The brunette removed the towel from Jisung grip and started to dry his hair, patting the tawny locks while being as caring as possible. "Tell me what's wrong then."

The blond nibbled at his lip in order to contain his tears, but Minho's hand suddenly pinched his cheeks. "Don't do that, you'll hurt yourself." Jisung simply nodded and waited for him to let go. After a couple of seconds the older went back to drying his hair, encouraging the small boy to say something.

"I know you want to talk about it, and

it'll be good to get it off your chest."

"I don't wanna burden you

with my emotions, MinMin."

"I'm a doctor, Sungie, I help patients struggling with mental health issues all the time. Besides, i dumped my past with Sunhee onto you, so don't worry about being a burden."

"Well.. my best friend confessed

to me the other day."

"The one who works as a pharmacist?"

"Yeah, Felix. Well he told me he liked me, but I rejected him. I love him but, as a friend. He didn't come to school today and I'd let him have space over the weekend. Heihyun told me to go explain to him in person that I still valued him as a friend and didn't want to lose that, but when I got to his house.. God he looked awful. I'd never seen him so, so broken, usually he is the sunshine in our pair but he was so hurt to hear me say I didn't feel the same for him. I didn't want to leave him alone at his house, and it's not like I even got time to solve the issue. I just, left him all alone when it was my damn fault in the first place."

Minho's thumb swiped away the solitary tear that slipped from Jisung's eye. He moved a little so the younger's legs were crossed over his thighs and his arm was slung round his shoulders. Jisung rested his head tiredly onto the brunette's shoulder, breathing in his scent sedately. Minho smelt so sweet and warm, and the younger had noticed it on the clothes too. He didn't want to admit that he was kind of addicted to the aroma, but it was just so comforting and made him feel safe; as if Minho was there with him even when he wasn't.

"You can't heal someone just like that, Jisung, it's going to take some time," Minho started, "but also know that it isn't your responsibility to heal him. How you feel is how you feel, you can't force yourself to fall in love with someone." The blond nodded slowly, but his eyes quickly sprung with tears again.

"I know but, but it just hurts so much to see him like that." The older cupped Jisung's face in his hands, forcing the boy to look up into his eyes.

"And it hurts me so much to see you like this." Minho's firm tone snapped the younger out of his sobbing, but then his face softened. "I'm sorry, look I know it sounds cheesy but everything will turn out just fine, try and put it out your mind for now."

Jisung let himself give a small smile, before snuggling closer into Minho's chest. He was unaware of just how far onto the oldest lap he was, but Minho didn't care. In fact he was more than happy to let Jisung stay on his lap forever if it were possible.

Wrapping his arms around him, the brunette was able to feel just how miniature the boy was. His little frame was hidden beneath the toasty folds of Minho's hoodie, and as the older switches his grip to his waist, he could see that Jisung's waist was even smaller. No wonder he didn't wear the sweatpants, he's so tiny. It took all of Minho's willpower not to gush at how cute the younger was, and to not immediately start treating him like a baby, even though he really wanted to.

"Is Sungie okay now?" Looking up both males saw the curious face of Heijin peeking around the doorframe, hesitantly looking at them with his large doe eyes. Jisung sat up a little and grinned from ear to ear.

"Yes Jinnie, I'm okay."

"Can I come and give Sungie a hug?"

"Of course!"

Heijin raced over to the sofa, throwing himself onto Jisung's legs and climbing up onto his lap. "I'm glad Dad made Sungie feel better, he's very good at doing that." Minho clenched his teeth and let his eyes purposely dart round the room.

"Yeah um, it's kinda my job baby."

"So you're making Sungie

pay for his treatment."

"Hmm, I think Sungie gets to

have it for free."

The blond giggled and hit Minho's chest with his sweater paw, making both the older and Heijin laugh too.

"Can I join?"

Heihyun was now at the door, looking overly nervous about asking even though he had no reason to worry. Jisung nodded and beckoned the small brunette over, shifting Heijin to his right knee so Heihyun would get to

sit on his left.

The boy waddled toward the sofa, and at first he didn't know where to sit. But the blond hastily hoisted him up onto his lap next to his brother, letting Minho hold their

shoulders steady.

"Did your talk with Felix not go well?"

"It did, but I was still a little upset."

"I'm sorry Jisung, I hope it gets better."

"Wait," Jisung paused, raising an eyebrow at Heihyun, "did you just say 'Jisung' without the 'Mister'?" The younger bit his knuckles to avoid replying, which only made the rest chuckle. As Minho observed the three males in front of him, he started to feel like this was what his family was meant to look like. That this was the three people he could spend the rest of his life with, together in happiness.

~~~
Jisung was waiting in the living room while Minho put the kids to bed, mindlessly following the hands of the clock tick round. It was getting really late, and it was still pouring down outside, so the blond guess that his mum wouldn't appreciate him phoning her to come pick him up from Minho's house. She'd already pestered him enough about coming home late, and if she knew Jisung was working for an older guy, the boy would be dead on the doorstep. Apparently Mrs. Han believed her son attracted "older, untrustworthy men," and didn't want him "getting some sugar daddy."
"Alrighty then, that's them off to bed," Minho announced as he came back into the front room, "now it's time for us."
"I don't follow."
"If you think I'm making you go home in this weather when you could potentially have a cold, you clearly do not know me."
"Oh no Minho I couldn't stay here,
you've done enough already."
"Nah-ah," the brunette sang as he yanked Jisung to his feet, "you're staying right here. Come on, I'll take you to my bedroom."
With no way of arguing the blond obediently let Minho lead him upstairs, his face getting redder with every ascending step he took. Internally Jisung was freaking out on an extraordinary level, but he had to keep his cool. The two trended silently past the boys' room and over to Minho's, shutting the door
behind them.
"Okay so the bathroom is down the
hall as you know, I'll be down stairs if-"
"What? Why aren't you
sleeping up here."
"I was going to sleep on the couch."
"What, no no I can't take your
bed away from you."
"Sungie it's fine, I've done it loads of times when my friends have crashed over."
"No."
"No?"
"Yes."
"Okay then, if you need me-"
"No! I meant yes to the no!!"
"So do you want me to stay or not?"
"Take the bed Minho, I won't
take it if you don't take it."
"Well I won't take it if you don't take it."
"Okay then!"
"If you insist."
"Wait what?!"
Minho, who was already dressed in casual sweats and a T-shirt, got under the covers and propped himself up on a pillow. Jisung stared at him for a long while, flustered while wondering what to do. "You said it, not me, come on." The brunette patted the space next to him, smirking subtly as the younger's face heated up from pure embarrassment.
"Fine," Jisung finally replied, sounding more grumpy then intended but to Minho it just sounded adorable. The younger slid into the free space, but then pulled out his phone. "I need to call my mum first to tell her I won't be home."
As Jisung dialled the number, Minho took the opportunity to scoot closer to the younger and snake his arm around his torso. Jisung shot him a threatening look, but soon dropped it when his mum picked up the call.
"Hi mum.. yes I know it's late, listen I'm going to be staying with a friend tonight.. no it's not Felix.. no it's not some older man don't be ridiculous!" This made the older chuckle as he slipped down into a lying position, dragging Jisung down with him.
"No they don't go to my school..
I have other friends, mum..
he's not that much older than me!"
"Liar."
"Shut up Minho oh my god. No mum he isn't.. don't get excited or upset over nothing.. Y'know what forget it, we can talk later. Love you bye!"
Jisung ended the call and wriggled from Minho's grip, to the brunette's disappointment. "What's with you being silly, usually you're all serious and no-nonsense." Minho frowned around the blond's words, before shrugging.
"Dunno, guess I'm giddy tonight."
"Whatever."
"Goodnight Sungie, sweet dreams."
"Night... Lee Minho you better get your
arms from around me or I swear!"
—————————🍒—————————
I couldn't help myself, I had to have them being clingy smh
Even tho they've known each other for like, less than 3 weeks.. idc I wanted them to be flirty and Minho to be all clingy and touchy cos like #confident_gay_minho dUh. It is kinda out of character for him in this to do so but I thought it would be cute for them to start being affectionate towards one another, and y'know awkward and flustered Ji is frickin' adorable.
Also if you didn't know, which you should cos if you don't it means you aren't following me which is very disappointing smh, I have a new book out! It's the one you lot voted for so I'm delivering, so yeah go check it out: "Being my Bully's Baby Boy."
Right I'm now tired and kinda horny but we gonna ignore that so I can go to sleep. I blame Chan for both these issues okaY goodnight.
