Chapter 22: Epilogue | 💦

The Baby Sitter | MinsungWords: 5008

Saturday - 1 year later

"Come on dad! You're so slow!"

"I'm an adult okay, I don't have

young bones like you two!"

"Jisung is keeping up though,

and he's an adult."

"HE'S AN ACTUAL RUNNER!"

Jisung burst into a fit of laughter as he came to a hault at the end of the track, resting his hands on his knees as he caught his breath. Heijin arrived at his side, doing the same while waiting for his brother to come not much after. There they all watched as Minho jogged down towards them, panting like a thirsty dog.

"You sound like a dying animal."

"I AM DYING!! HOW DO YOU DO

THIS EVERY DAY?"

"Maybe you're just really

unhealthy dad."

"I'm a doctor, Jin, I'm

perfectly fit."

"Not like you don't have

the thighs for it."

"Why you little-"

Reaching over once he got to the group Minho pinched his boyfriends cheek, before momentarily going back to holding himself up from collapsing.

The family were up at the park, like they were every Saturday, with Jisung teaching them to grow their stamina up with running. At 19 and attending his first year of university, the once tawny golden locks upon the boys hair had been grown and cut back to his regular sweet cola brown. It wasn't commonly heard of for a boy Jisung's age to share custody of a now 5-year-old and a near 6-year-old, but perhaps miracles do occur. Besides, Minho was correct - he was 23 now and needed another to help care for his children.

Whilst Jisung had been busy letting his hair heals for a new school, Heijin and Heihyun's story was quite the opposite. They needed to have "big boy hair styles," and so had received both a cut and a colour that had stayed consistent into the recent days. Heijin had picked straight ebony, the gloss of his now length curled mullet contrasting what everyone thought he would've gone for. Heihyun had gone down the route of a shorter style, but with a much lighter hue. His was a hot tamale, the reddish shades matching that of his favourite colour and fitting perfectly with his bow clips - an upgrade from the iconic plain ones.

Both boys excelled at school. Heihyun had been placed into a honourable students program for English the moment he stepped foot through the gate, and Heijin may or may not have been ahead of his game in the artistic department for his age. Needless to say Jisung and Minho's home schooling paid off.

"Why don't you two kids go see if Yeona is, is down by the play park," Minho suggested meekly, his breath wheezing as he spoken "and let me and Jisung have a rest."

Agreeing to this proposal Heijin and Heihyun ran off down to the play area, leaving the older couple to find a bench to rest on.

"Y'know," Minho said as his head feel back in exhaustion, "this is the bench we first met at."

"Is it?" Jisung glanced at his surroundings. It was indeed; the one where they'd exchanged names and been technically introduced. "Gosh, how we didn't even know that we'd end up like this on that day." Minho chuckled. The air did hold a certain nostalgic feel, running back all the memories of his boyfriend's days as the baby sitter.

"Do you remember how you got

Jinnie to finally like carrots?"

"How could I forget that!

It was a revolution!"

"And the play?"

"Ugh how I wish I could forget that."

The pair chuckled, and as they continued to reminisce on the previous year the gap between them closed.

"What about the time I came from

Felix's all soaked and you made me

sleep in bed with you."

"And how you lied to your mum

about being with an older guy?"

"Shhh, she still thinks you're

only 20 now."

"How is Felix by the way?"

That started off on Jisung telling Minho what his friend had been up to. Of course Felix didn't attend the same university as him, but that hadn't stopped them from remaining friends. The younger had been accepted into his dance school for his raw natural talent and outstanding perseverance, and was now working on his training while living together with none other than his boyfriend, Changbin.

"I still remember that delicious cheesecake

you baked with the kids."

"And all the meals I have cooked

you all ever."

"Yes they were all lovely too baby."

"Omg when we were watching it's

okay to not be okay and-"

"-and you didn't know how old

Soohyun was!"

"And the squirrel ears too!"

"And how we fell asleep

together on the sofa."

"And how you dropped me off-"

"-And how people for sure

thought I was-"

"-My sugar daddy!"

"Kiss me."

"W-What?!"

Jisung was so close to Minho's face now that the older had to kiss him. Bringing their lips closer they moved in rhythm against one another, blissfully inhaling the familiar flavour that each of them had. There was no separation between them, since they were so wrapped up in the feeling of their kiss, the other's soft lips, their gentle sighs, their loving emotion.

"I love you, MinMin."

"I love you too, Sungie."

Both Minho and Jisung thought a lot of their interaction that afternoon, and went back to their regular routines with one another. Much did they know each of them would impact the other's life forever.
