Streets of Oxenfurt
Today he woke up before the sun and went to the place near the port. He was waiting covered in the shadows while she will finally come. He knew that she comes here every morning to look at the sunset above the sea. He also knew that nobody else knows about it because she tries to keep it safe.
His hungry stomach brought him back from his thoughts. He didn't have time to eat something. But at least this was keeping his eyes open.
He didn't sleep the whole night.
Now he was cursing himself for it.
As he expected she came at the time the sun hit the most beautiful colors. He didn't wait any longer and surprised her from behind.
"Someone is breaking rules, huh?"
Ciri almost jumped from the fear. He didn't expect him at all.
She turned to him. "What are you doing here?" She was serious.
"Can't I come to look at the sunsets as well?" He told her calmly.
She rolled her eyes. "You're not normal."
"So, are you. Do you know how dangerous is to go alone somewhere now?" His face changed to serious.
"You came here to tutoring me Gabriel?" she told him with measured voice.
His eyes got darker. "I'm came here to bring you back home." His eyes got darker.
She smirked. "Then continue dreaming. I'm not going anywhere with you."
"I wasn't asking for you permission." He told her without emotions.
His answer surprised her for a moment, but then she realized that he somehow managed to get to her closer than she wanted him to be.
She instinctively stepped back. "What are you doing?"
He strongly grabbed her arm. "I told you I'm bringing you back."
"But I don't want it you fool." She was trying to pull his hand away from her arm, but he wasn't erasing his grip at all. On the other hand he was strengthening it.
Her heart started beating faster. This was not the person she got to know. Something was not right with him..
In that moment Gabriel caught her both hands in the way she couldn't defend herself and then he pushed her closer towards his chest. "Say goodbye to the sunset." He looked into her eyes which now filled fear. Then he pressed something on her mouth. She recognized a decoction filled in that thing, but it was too late for her..
Because her mind hit the darkness.
Ciri started slowly opening her eyes. Everything was spinning around. She started feeling pain on her forehead. She put her hand on it and she felt the blood. She didn't remember someone hit her, maybe he hit her when..
She buried that thought immediately. She tried to fully open her eyes. She was in some big room, with not too much light. Only source of light was a fireplace in the corner. She heard some voices. Then her eyes adapted to the light in the room and she recognized two persons. She narrowed her eyes and then her face got suddenly white. She punched herself into her arm to wake up. This had to be just a nightmare, this couldn't be reality. This..
They both turned to her at the same time. They had to notice she woke up. Then they started walking towards her.
No..
She started moving backward, but she realized she had chains on her hands. She couldn't move at all.
No..
She wanted to wake up from this nightmare, but it somehow wasn't working. Why it wasn't working?! No, no, no...
"Cirilla of Cintra." He said her name with the disgust. With that stick he wasn't looking so tall now.
She dared to look in the eyes of that snake. "You.. how?" She asked him without emotions even though she already knew the answer. It was standing behind him.
"How it feels when you could have a throne, but you just have piece of shit?" He laughed.
"You didn't answer me." she spill it into his awful face.
His face changed. He knelt down on his knee and grabbed her chin into his hand and squeezed it. "Let me tell you something. You're not here to make commands bitch. Try to remember it. It will solve you lot of hits." His eyes flashed, then he slapped her.
Her lip started bleeding. She swiped the blood with the finger. Her mouth started pulsing with the pain.
Bonhart stood up and look at the young witcher. "Rience should come here soon. He can't wait to play with her." He made a cheeky smile. "Let's have a couple of beers with me Raven. You finally deserve it." they returned back towards the table.
She wanted to vomit. She couldn't believe he did it to her. He brought her here like some silly sheep. She couldn't believe how she could be so stupid again.. How she could believe his lies..
Ciri buried thoughts which started appearing in her head. She didn't want to think about him anymore. He hurt her.. and only time will show off how much.
She then hugged her knees.
The tears started rolling down her cheeks.
Ciri felt how some hands suddenly raised her up and removed the chains from her hands. She didn't even noticed when they put her small Dwimerit's bracelet on her wrist. That traitor had to tell them that she was still able to do at least the teleport. She lost her power at desert Korath when she underestimated magic of fire. She should have never told him about her biggest secrets. She couldn't understand how stupid she was again, but now it didn't matter anymore. Because she couldn't take it back..
She didn't know how many time passed, but it felt like hours. She had to fall asleep. She didn't blame herself for it. Looking at that two monsters in front of her laughing and having fun with drinking beer was just too painful for her.
They were taking her into another room. She guessed Rience would be already there. She was expecting the worst, but she had no idea how wrong she was about it..
They entered into the room and her knees almost broke down.
This was the time when all the stories should have some turnovers, but it seemed her story just come to the end, or more likely to the hell..
She managed to look at him while they were still pulling her further.
"Geralt.." her voice failed.
His heart almost broke when he spotted her chained. Her face filled with bruises.. "Ciri.."
She was trying to hold her tears.
"Geralt.. Ciri.. Blah, blah, blah.. Can't you both stop meowing?" Bonhart rolled his eyes. Gabriel was standing next to him without a word.
"You.." Geralt gave Bonhart a killer look.
"I knew I will silent you one day White Wolf and this day had come sooner than I expected." Leo made a cheeky smile. "Take her to that corner." he commanded his guard.
Ciri didn't even protest anymore. This was her end for sure. There was no way from this nightmare. For her and unfortunately even for Geralt. This was the end for both of them..
But she still didn't get it how Geralt got here and why nobody else was here as well. Did they captured them too? She hoped not, but where they were when they needed them the most now?
The sound of opening door interrupted her from her thoughts.
"Am I celebrating something that you brought me two gifts at the same time?" Rince said with deep voice, then on his face appeared a smile. "Who made this happen?" He sat down to the table and drank the beer.
"Raven finally shoved his potential and brought the girl. And that stupid witcher come here by himself. We found him sneaking in the cellars." Leo explained.
"This is amazing. I wouldn't imagine it in better way. To kill them together." Rience said with the excitement and drank the beer again.
Ciri looked with the disappointment into his eyes. "Why? Why did you do that?" She ignored the fact that everybody was paying attention to them. She needed to ask why her father did the worst mistake in his life.
Geralt didn't answer her, he just lowered his eyes.
Rience finished his beer and looked at him. "Leo, inform me."
Bonhart answered him calmly. "My witchers should be now on the attack. The Raven provided us informations where exactly is that witch's house. If they were lucky, my men are now chasing them. If they were not.. the family is after death."
Ciri's face got almost white.
Yennefer, Jahve, the witchers.. her family. She swears she will kill Gabriel for what he did if they won't kill her till then..
"Splendid." Rience said with satisfaction. Then he's eyes stopped at the White Wolf. "You seem quite calm witcher when you're family is being hunted."
Geralt smirked. "My family know how to kick your bastards asses."
Rience stood up and came closer to him. "Really? I wouldn't be so sure. School of Cat are deadly in full strength." His face didn't even move.
Geralt tried to act strong in front of him. He didn't want to even think about that his family could be in real danger now..
"So is School of Wolf."
The mage laughed. "You call that old grandpa Vesemir and those three idiots who barely kill some monster these day deadly? You had to hit your head properly."
"Piss of Rience." Geralt spat on the floor.
The mage made an evil smile. "Don't worry, I told them to spare your wife. I can't wait to fuck her and tell her how I ripped apart your organs from you."
Geralt in that moment almost jumped at him, but the guards holding his arms stopped him. Then one of them kicked him into his stomach.
The witcher suppressed the painful sigh. "You fucking bastard! I'll kill you!" He growled.
Rience said very calmly. "I'll give you the opportunity to do it right now."
The witcher stayed confused for a second.
Rience looked at his fingers and cleaned the mess behind his nail. "I wanted to kill that little bitch in front of you to make you suffer more, but I decided I'll you kill you as first. You're really getting on my nerves." He found his eyes. "At least then my men can have some pleasure with her until she will die in pain."
In Ciri's eyes appeared a fear.
Geralt in that moment growled and moved towards him, but his quick move was stopped again by guards. He gave the mage a killer look. "I swear to Gods I'll kill you Rience! I swear!"
The mage made a cheeky smile. "You're welcome." He crossed his arms. "Let him go now." He commanded his guards.
The guards did as they were commanded. They stepped back.
Geralt could suddenly move freely, but..
"What about my chains on my hands?"
Rience raised his eyebrow. "What about them?"
"You will let me to fight with that chains against you?"
"If you didn't notice you're in my fortress where only my rules apply. You can thank to your very sexy wife that I didn't kill you the moment I spotted you and instead I will give you some time to suffer before.."
Geralt eyes got darker. "You coward."
"From your mouth it sounds more like a compliment than an insult witcher." Rience showed his teeth, then he throw his spell on him.
Geralt managed to jumped on the side in the last second.
"You won't give me even a sword?" He told him angrily while he was catching his breath.
The mage laughed. "Why would I do that? I don't want to mess my hands with you blood, it's better fun to smashed you alive."
The witcher cursed and jumped away from the deadly fire ball. "Fucker."
"Hmm, now I think it was better to let you chained to the ground so you couldn't move at all." Rience said calmly more for himself.
Geralt started calculating in his head. There was no way he will got alive from here. He needed to think out some new plan. Very quickly..
Couple of minutes passed and the witcher started losing his energy. His moves started slowing down and it was just a matter of time when Rience will find his dreamed target.
Ciri wasn't even looking at it. This view was just too much on her..
Geralt didn't know how many times he had jumped to the side already so he wouldn't end up as an ash. He knew, he will die soon, but that mage didn't care about it at all. He was enjoying it every moment of witcher suffering.
"Alright, now catch him. I think it's time for a final blow for that witcher mutant." Rience made an evil smile. "Leo bring the girl here, let her watch it from the best spot."
Ciri's face froze in that moment. "Geralt, run!"
Suddenly Bonhart's face appeared above her and strongly raised her up from the ground. "It's too late for miracles little bitch." He told her with disgusting voice and started her pulling her to the middle of the show.
Geralt started breathing faster. Five guards were coming on him to chain him again. But he didn't want to give up so easily. He started beating them right after one. There was only two left.
Rience rolled his eyes. "I have to do everything by myself.." He said the spell and suddenly some power strongly pushed Geralt to the ground.
The guards who weren't already unconscious immediately captured him.
Rience came closer to him. "I must admit you were resisting longer that I expected witcher. You're really good fighter. Too shame I must kill you.." he used a softer voice. Then his face changed. "Now the time for my revenge finally come." His eyes flashed.
"I don't think so." In that moment Gabriel jumped in front of Geralt and Rience with raised sword and he was ready to attack.
Ciri almost stopped breathing in that moment.
Geralt's eyes filled small hope.
Rience's mouth shivered in rude smile. "Look at you, you suddenly want to be a hero?"
"No, I want to sent you to the other world." Gabriel growled.
"Hm, you're not the only one who wants it." The mage admitted proudly.
Gabriel eyes got darker. "But I wasn't talking about you Rience.."
In that moment he turned around and stabbed his sword into Geralt's stomach.
The witcher immediately sighed painfully.
"Noo!" Ciri screamed loudly. She was barely hearing how Rience started loudly laughing next to her. Her eyes were only fixed on that awful disaster happening in front her.
Their looks met. The time slowed down for a seconds.
The Wolf and The Cat. They were staring into each other eyes.
Everybody saw something different. The Wolf saw some kind of shock and the Cat saw the sign of betrayal..
The White Wolf suddenly fell down to the knees and caught his wound from which started spreading the lot of blood. His face got immediately white.
He managed to found his daughter eyes. The light from his eyes started disappearing.
"What have you done!?" She screamed at Gabriel with pain in her voice, then she looked at her father. "No! No! No.." She said through the tears. She started feeling strong pain into her chest. She also wanted to vomit because she never thought that the person for who she has started had feelings for recently could ever be able to do this..
Her heart started beating so fast. She was in shock from everything what happened.
She then tried to moved towards Geralt, but Bonhart's disgusting hands which were holding her stopped her from moving forward.
"Stop it you stupid child!" Leo told her strictly.
Rience started clapping while he was looking at the young witcher who was still holding sword filled with Geralt's blood. "You're literally a Coat changer from today boy. I wouldn't imagine it in better way. To die by a hand who should have save you at the last second.. just amazing." He laughed.
Gabriel ignored the mage words. He was still looking at the Geralt's motionless body like he couldn't believe it was all over.
Like he couldn't believe what he really done..
Ciri started to be so frustrated. Her father was slowly dying in front of her and she couldn't do anything about it. "Please, let me go.." she tried to escape from Leo's strong arms, but she barely even moved. "Let me go after him.." More tears filled her face. "Geralt.." her voice failed. She felt like the whole world broke into pieces. She felt like everything was against her!
Suddenly Geralt fell down to the floor from his knees.
His eyes closed.
"Nooo!" Ciri felt unbearable pain in that moment. She couldn't even take a breath because of sobbing. Her eyes looked like waterfalls. She started crying loudly.
"Take her into another room. I can't listen to that awful cheeping." Bonhart pushed her to the one guard's hands.
The guard then raised her into his arms and started leaving from the room. She didn't protest. Nothing mattered in that moment for her. The whole world slowed down for her. She couldn't tell what was the reality. The world started blurring. She somehow managed to found her father with hers eyes whom was lying in his own blood.
Then the anxiety hit her hardly. She couldn't take her own breath anymore. If she would have to once choose the worst moment of her life, it would be this.. it was so painful. So painful..
And nobody prepared her for it.
Geralt was dead.
Her father was dead..
Ciri raised her eyes a bit. She saw how Bonhart petted Gabriel's back and then said something to him.
In that moment everything went dark for her.
