Xie Jianweiâs current emotions were hard to describe.
He wasnât only hungry, he âwanted itâ, too.
Bloodclan bodies and human bodies were different; the desires for food and sex had linked together. When one of them made a clamour, the other wasnât quiet, either.
Clearly, he was so hungry he almost couldnât walk, and yet that place was so hard it felt hot.
Xie Jianwei was someone who didnât have a vigorous sex drive. After getting an especially vigorous lover, he even more so never got the chance to feel vigorous again.
Because he was usually in a state of full charge, he very rarely craved it like so.
Although heâd come across it in the first dreamscape, too; at the time, Lu Big Li was quite reliable. Heâd only had to seduce him a little and then theyâd start going at it, and he could play in any way he wished.
And now? Heâd used his mouth for ages, but thereâd been no reaction!
Xie Jianwei felt resigned, too. But as he got up and looked at Lu Little Li, whose eyes had drooped a little, his heart twitched from pain as well.
It was his fault, and yet he couldnât blame him. He couldnât help that he was sickâ¦
At this moment, Lu Li probably suffered quite a bit in his heart as well. After all, any guy wouldnât want others to know that he had erectile dysfunction.
Xie Jianwei took a deep breath and said lightly: âPardon me.â
Lu Li apparently understood the rules of vampires very well: âI have no way of giving you hot blood, but warm bloodâ¦â
He hadnât finished speaking yet when Xie Jianwei bit down on his neck.
Teeth easily pierced through skin, and the blood hidden within burst out instantly. A stunning, sweet fragrance immediately dominated his taste buds, and the unimaginable flavour and texture made a void of expansive, empty white, appear in Xie Jianweiâs mind.
He sucked greedily, like a traveller who had reached the nectar he had craved for so long, one who was finally seeing an oasis after crossing an entire desert in a state of thirst. He took, uncontrollably, his spirit and his flesh forcibly taken over by euphoria at this moment.
The blood flooded into his body, easing the emptiness in his stomach but making his body even hotter.
Lu Li didnât feel pain â the vampiresâ teeth had a natural narcotic. When vampires pierced through human skin, it would rapidly spread, and after it had diffused through the nerves, it brought about an indescribable sensation of drunkenness.
Clearly, his precious blood was being lost; clearly, death was waving its hand to him; clearly, the one who was hugging him so tightly was a beautiful monster â and yet, he couldnât muster up even a sliver of refusal.
Compared to humans, this bloodclan who was filled with sin wasnât all that bad, either.
At least he was direct â he was direct when he took, and he was direct when he was greedy, too.
Lu Liâs eyes stared straight ahead of him. He couldnât see Xie Jianwei but could smell him. It was a very special scent, carrying within it slivers of cold, and yet it had a little sweetness spread throughout it, and as it entered his nose, it unexpectedly made its way through his heart.
The bloodclan tightly pressed against him was trembling slightly, as if he was experiencing extreme pleasure; his sucking carried within it an utterly undisguised yearning.
Lu Li was able to feel the changes in his body. He himself had no reaction whatsoever, and yet, curiously, his hand moved to grasp him there.
After lightly fiddling a few times, the bloodclanâs body, sensitive to the extreme as it was, shook uncontrollably, actually shooting him a handful just like that.
Having his hunger and his lust satisfied at the same time made Xie Jianwei feel as if fireworks were exploding before his eyes. He took a very long time to recollect himself before he could calm his rapidly beating heart.
By this point, Lu Li had already lost a little too much blood.
Xie Jianwei blanched, quickly asking: âAre you alright?â
Lu Li replied: âItâs nothing.â
Xie Jianwei dipped his head, gazing at the sticky patch on his pants, slightly blushing: âSorry, I lost control of myself.â
Lu Li didnât reply, merely shaking his head.
Xie Jianwei first went and cleaned himself up a bit. When he came back, he said: âIâll go get you something to eat.â
Lu Li said: âEn.â
Xie Jianwei swiftly went and requested a bowl of congee that was good for replenishing blood and ordered quite a number of side dishes, too; and there was, of course, no lack of the most important sweets.
Lu Li was just a single person, but the stuff he ordered was probably enough to feed seven or eight people.
Lu Li paused, saying: âThereâs no need to order so much.â
When Xie Jianwei finished ordering, he, too, felt that he was going too overboard, but the food had already been sent over. He said: âI donât know what you like to eat. Pick a few that you like, and Iâll get them to take away the rest.â
Lu Li said: âIâm fine with anything.â
Xie Jianwei simply made the decisions himself, picking for him ones that fitted his tastes. He knew quite well what Lu Li liked to eat anyways.
After eating some sweets, Lu Liâs complexion looked much better.
Xie Jianwei released a breath, saying: âIn a moment, I need to go out; you should come with me.â
Lu Li obediently agreed.
Qinya City was quite bustling, especially since the population density of human beings was high. When they gathered together, people were everywhere in a densely packed mass, and it was unbelievably rowdy.
This was also the first time that Xie Jianwei witnessed this scene of people pushing against each other.
There were also a large number of people in the Galactic Era; it wasnât merely just a few tens of times greater than the Earth Era. But after discovering the alien galaxies, humanity started having large levels of immigration, and the rapid development of habitable planets actually made the population density decrease to unimaginable levels.
According to a recent check on population levels, there were still many habitable planets that were in a state of solitary occupation.
What was solitary occupation exactly? Simply put, it meant that on a single planet, there was only one clan of people, or a single family, or even just one person (the rest were all just artificially intelligent robots).
And so when Xie Jianwei gazed at the scene before him, filled with buzzing activity, he truly did feel that it was quite new, and he also really liked this sort of atmosphere.
In the era of low population density, it was very hard to experience this crowded sort of liveliness.
Humans were social creatures. Whilst a higher number of residents would affect the quality of life, it would also raise the peoplesâ spiritual satisfaction.
By accident, Military Strategist Xie began considering the essayãA Report on the Link Between the Mental State of Humans and their Adaptability to their Living Environmentã.
Right at this time, Yan Ke came sliding back: âMy Lord, how were the results of last nightâs battle?â
It was as if he was specifically choosing the sore point to prod at, truly. Xie Jianwei laughed a little âheheâ: âYour dear Supreme Commander can do anything you can imagine and more.â
Yan Ke blinked: âWhat did Lord Supreme Commander do? Could it be that he isnât human either? But a certain kind of thing that has a lot of tentacles growing from itâ¦Aiyahyah, so embarrassing.â
Xie Jianwei: ââ¦â What on earth is your brain filled with, ah, Doctor Yan!
Yan Ke then hurriedly asked: âDid you get to drink hot blood?â
Xie Jianwei said expressionlessly: âNo.â
Yan Ke exclaimed, surprised: âMy Lord, youâre really too weak; why didnât you put in some effort and drink hot blood?â
He wasnât the weak one!
Xie Jianwei relayed Lu Liâs problem.
Yan Ke was astonished: âThatâs ruthless⦠Lord Supreme Commander is truly a ruthless person.â
Xie Jianwei had no words.
Yan Ke got excited out of the blue: âMy Lord, itâs time to put your charms to the test has arrived. Hurry and cure Lord Supreme Commanderâs disease â erectile dysfunction can be cured with mental stimulation: you can try to tempt him in uniform, or XX play, and thereâs XXX play, too, and if that doesnât work, then dish up XXXX play.â
Xie Jianwei: ââ¦â
Yan Ke covered his face, saying: âItâs too embarrassing; Iâll retreat first!â
Xie Jianweiâs thoughts turned and suddenly he asked: âIs your brother still writing novels?â
Yan Ke said: âOf course, he has a super high productivity/yield. Last time Lord Supreme Commander even praised him for being enthusiastic and hard-working. My brother got excited and gifted Lord Commander an entire set of books.â
Xie Jianwei felt that he had found the source of Lu Liâs melodramatic brain-holes a littleâ¦
Itâs just that, Yan Keâs brother was deeply in love with the Commonwealth Era, and most of his little erotica novels were set in that time. How come in Lu Liâs mind it became the ancient Earth Era?
Xie Jianwei didnât think too much of it anymore, because they had already walked into the auction.
It was a pretty large-scale auction after all, so bystanders were completely cleared away. The buyers participating in the auction were all in a private room on the second floor. The decorations were very intricate and extravagant. Not only was there tea and fresh fruit, there was also a row of people waiting on them.
Xie Jianwei couldnât get used to the scent of the serving womenâs cosmetics and waved his hands, indicating for them to leave.
He turned to Lu Li and said: âIn a moment, on the auction, if thereâs anything you want, just say it.â
Lu Li deferentially replied: âThereâs not really anything I want.â
Xie Jianwei turned into a domineering CEO again by accident: âCount it as compensation for what happened this morning.â
Something quickly flashed in Lu Liâs eyes, but he still said lightly: âNo need.â
Xie Jianwei didnât say much later, merely lifting a hand and pouring Lu Lia cup of tea himself. He picked a few deserts that he liked, too, and placed them in front of him.
Lu Li made no motion. He looked at the delicate food on the plate, his mind churning.
Xie Jianwei wasnât worried that he would be suspicious that he knew too much, either, casually throwing out: âIâm not sure what you like, either, itâs just that these look quite good, so I picked them for you.â
Hearing him speak, in a rare moment, Lu Liâs expression smoothed out a bit: âItâs very delicious.â
Xie Jianwei smiled: âEat a bit more, then later, Iâll be able to give it a taste as well.â
He meant something else by his words, but Lu Li didnât mind, merely staring intently at these things with their high levels of sugar.
Anemics had an almost biased love for sugar. He didnât like sweet things before, but now he had to eat them.
The auction had started. The material that Xie Jianwei was truly after was the grand finale, so it would only be taken out at the very end.
The things that appeared before were all pretty good, too. Xie Jianwei had a lot of wealth; if something looked good, heâd get people to bid for it. Not long had passed before he had bidded for a pile of stuff.
Lu Li truly didnât want anything. It was as if the squandering of such a big sum of money was nonexistent to him. He didnât want those magnificent and powerful weapons, and he didnât want those secret manuals that could make him incomparably strong. He even seemed to disregard those elixirs that had a high chance of changing his body.
His lack of desires made Xie Jianwei frown slightly; he had a feeling that his erectile dysfunction had some sort of connection with his indifferent attitude.
He didnât want anything, but Xie Jianwei bid for a big heap of things for him. He piled these things in front of Lu Li, but Lu Li only calmly replied: âThank you.â
Xie Jianwei leaned his cheek on his hand and said to him: âGive me a smile mah.â
Lu Li lifted his head and looked at him.
Xie Jianwei peered into his eyes and warmly said: âYou arenât happy even when I give you presents?â
Lu Li once again quickly lowered his eyes. He said in a low voice: âIâm happy.â
âThen give me a smile.â
Lu Li: ââ¦â
Xie Jianwei didnât press him though: âOkay, Iâm kidding.â
Lu Li gave a perfect interpretation of what it was to be âan old well without ripplesâ.
The second to last auction item was something good. As soon as the host took it out, the sound of restless movements came from the private rooms next door.
âThe Pill of Returning Yang!â
âEven something as good as this has been taken out and auctioned?â
âTake it, we have to take it.â
Lu Li, who had been calm the whole time, in a rare moment raised his head to look at the auction stage.
Xie Jianwei keenly detected. He asked him: âWant it?â
Lu Li again quickly retrieved his gaze.
Xie Jianwei thought about it a little, then smiled, asking: âCould it be that this Pill of Returning Yang can cure your body?â
Lu Li said: âItâs not certain.â
Xie Jianwei was now interested: âThat is to say that thereâs a possibility?â
Lu Li nodded, replying: âEn.â
Xie Jianwei thought inwardly: he had to get it into his hands then. Whether his food and comfort problem could be solved or not from now on all depended on this one moment!
The host was currently introducing this âPill of Returning Yangâ. Of course, this wasnât an elixir specifically meant for healing erectile dysfunction. It was actually quite a comprehensive miracle medicine. The two words âReturning Yangâ seemed to take on the meaning of returning from the dead to the living.
Legend had it that the Pill of Returning Yang could cure hundreds of diseases, and even people on the brink of death from heavy wounds could be completely healed.
There were more rumours that people with healthy bodies who took the Pill of Returning Yang could have their lifespan extended.
There were even some people who exaggerated, saying that if a woman who had stepped into middle age ate it, then they would recover their beauty.
Although these rumours were a little exaggerated, it was indeed widely applicable. And the biggest and most real legend [*] behind this âPill of Returning Yangâ was that it was created by that hero from a century before. The hero had consumed this very Pill of Returning Yang in order to heavily wound the Blood Clan King, forcing him into hibernation and letting the humans take complete victory.
After that hunter had disappeared (the humansâ side was basically convinced that he was dead), the Pill of Returning Yangâs method of creation was completely lost, too, and the few that remained became rare treasures.
The starting price of the Pill of Returning Yang was a hundred thousand Zhu.
After that, people were continuously increasing the price. Within a few minutes, it had been raised to three hundred thousand Zhu.
Such a high value made quite a number of people take the initiative to back out, and all that was left was a lady in private room no. 4 and a gentleman in private room no. 8.
The woman in no. 4 seemed determined to win. She raised it to five hundred thousand Zhu in one go, and private room no. 8 could only choose to give up.
Just when everybody thought that the Pill of Returning Yang would belong to private room no. 4, Xie Jianweiâs side finally put out a price.
âSix hundred thousand Zhu.â
Surprised exclamations sounded from the whole of the second floor.
The lady in private room 4 said: âSix hundred and ten million.â
Xie Jianweiâs side: âSeven hundred million.â
Private room 4 gritted their teeth, saying: âSeven hundred and ten million.â
Xie Jianweiâs side: âA billion.â
As soon as the words got out, the entire venue was dead silent.
Lu Li looked up at him, opened his mouth, and said: âItâs not worth it.â
Xie Jianwei smiled at him: âItâs rare for you to have something you want.â
Lu Li: ââ¦â
Yan Keâs voice trembled as he gave a high pitched cry: âAiyah, my Lord youâre being a Sue.â
Xie Jianwei: ââ¦â It didnât feel like a compliment.
Yan Ke blinked and suddenly remembered a rumour from reality: âThatâ¦six years ago, in the Shaoping Galaxy, that Heart of the Universe wasnât bought by you too, right?â
Xie Jianwei said: âIt was me.â
Yan Ke said aghast: âDid you gift it to Lord Supreme Commander?â
Xie Jianwei: âEn.â
Yan Ke was breathing deeply from the shock: âYouâ¦you reallyâ¦reallyâ¦â
Xie Jianwei said: âIt was rare for him to like something.â
Yan Ke felt that he couldnât breathe anymore. His whole mouth had been filled with dog food; how could there possibly be any more room to breathe! [1]
Back then, that auction had caused a huge sensation. The âHeart of the Universeâ was a very exquisite gemstone, but it was still only a gemstone: it didnât have any practical value whatsoever, and yet it was bought by someone using enough money to buy several A-level habitable planets.
Because it was anonymous, a whole six years had passed without anyone knowing who this stupid and rich godly spender was.
Who would have thought that it would be Military Strategist Xie?
Cool and wise and with an IQ of 280, the Military Strategist Xie, who had no fate with the word âstupidâ in his entire lifetime!
Yan Ke couldnât help but think of a particular saying â love makes oneâs IQ drop.
The auctioneer personally delivered the Pill of Returning Yang over. Xie Jianwei directly gave the box to Lu Li.
Lu Li looked at it and said lightly: âItâs not completely sure to be effective.â
Xie Jianwei replied: âGive it a try.â
Lu Li shook his head: âLetâs not use it.â
Xie Jianwei laughed: âItâs fine, itâd be for the best if it was effective, but if it isnât, itâs fine; it wonât hurt you anyways.â
Lu Li gazed up at him, his eyes unblinking.
Xie Jianweiâs eyes were filled with encouragement.
Lu Li paused. In the end, he accepted the medicine.
The finale of the auction had finally started. The material that Xie Jianwei wanted was also one that everyone struggled to obtain.
This was a real treasure. It wasnât like the Pill of Returning Yang, which had only all sorts of legends to its name but had no guarantee of having some huge effect once taken.
Buying the Pill of Returning Yang was more from nostalgia than anything, in memory of that extraordinary hero, or it was for women who liked to daydream, believing that they could possess eternal youth.
But the material on that stage right now was a genuine treasure, hard to come across even in a millennium, and from the moment it appeared, it would inevitably be fought over.
The starting price of the material was a billion Zhu.
Logically, 2 billion would be enough to buy it, but the lady in private room no. 4 who had wanted the Pill of Returning Yang had a grudge because Xie Jianwei had robbed it from her, and actually started raising the price with mean intentions.
Xie Jianwei wasnât lacking in money anyways. He straight up raised it to five billion.
That woman still wanted to add onto it, but the tragedy was that the upper limit of the appraisal given to her by the appraiser was three billion. She didnât even have the capacity to raise the price any further.
Xie Jianwei came back with a bountiful harvest. Apart from that material, he gave all the other stuff to Lu Li.
Lu Li wanted to refuse.
Xie Jianwei said: âJust take it, itâs not like I have any use for it.â
Lu Li: ââ¦â
Having gotten what he wanted, Xie Jianwei began preparations to go back to the Blood Clanâs territory. He didnât ask for Lu Liâs opinion, straight up taking him away.
Lu Li didnât even hesitate as he walked through the Fog Ravines, as if he was completely uncaring of what these ravines symbolised, wholly unfussed with the reality that he needed only to cross these ravines, and then he would have entered the Blood Clanâs stronghold.
He was a human. If he had no way of providing hot blood, Xie Jianwei couldnât even perform the first embrace on him.
If he couldnât go through the first embrace, then he could only remain a human.
A human entering the Blood Clanâs territory was no different than a newborn bunny leaping into the nest of an eagle.
Returning to his own palace, Xie Jianwei asked: âDo you want to try that pill?â
Lu Li said: âOkay.â
Xie Jianwei stared straight at him as he took it. He really did hope that the thing was effective. He wasnât afraid of being celibate, but if he had to go hungry then that would be too sad.
In becoming a bloodclan, heâd already cut off his ties with huge amounts of delicious food, but now he still had to endure hunger; wasnât it heartwrenching?
Xie Jianwei struggled to make himself a little more restrained, but he still couldnât stop his eyes from revealing his anticipation.
Lu Li acutely sensed it. The hand holding the pill paused.
âIf it has no effect, youâ¦â
Xie Jianwei said: âDonât feel any pressure. Itâs fine even if it doesnât work.â
Lu Liâs thin lips pressed together, and he suddenly asked: âWhy me?â
Xie Jianwei was wholeheartedly thinking about important matters, like âeat eat eat, hurry up and eat, when you finish eating then I can eatâ. Suddenly hearing his question, he was caught off-guard.
But Lu Li didnât seem to want to hear his answer. With the aid of some hot water, he ate the medicinal pill.
Xie Jianwei didnât think much about answering his last question anymore either, only hurriedly asking: âHow do you feel?â
Lu Li said: âThereâs a warm current flowing in my body.â
Xie Jianweiâs eyes lit up: âIt worked?â
Lu Li looked at his pale lips, replying lowly: âI donât know.â
Xie Jianweiâs line of sight fell directly on his lower half.
Lu Liâs Adamâs apple bobbed: âIâll go try.â
But Xie Jianwei said: âLet me.â Done speaking, he once again half kneeled before him.
Lu Li looked down upon him from his elevated position, his eyes darkening heavily.
He liked this image. Even if he was unable to have an erection, he felt excited from this scene. Such a beautiful man, such a strong bloodclan, such a lofty spirit â and yet he was knelt before him in such a position.
Sacred, yet licentious.
His heart beat heavily and rapidly, and Lu Li experienced an emotion that was hard to describe, as if he had blasphemed against a god â he was unnerved, and yet he felt fulfilled, and felt from this extreme dissonance a sick sort of pleasure.
Xie Jianwei tried hard for ages, and pitifully raised his head, asking: âNo feeling?â Big Li was still soft.
Lu Liâs voice was very rough: âIâm sorry.â
Xie Jianwei sighed, getting up and saying: âDonât apologise, itâs not like itâs your fault.â
The Pill of Returning Yang was unable to make Lu Liâs âYangâ return. Xie Jianwei was still pretty disappointed, but the billion Zhu hadnât been wasted either â at least this medicinal pill was still very useful in nursing oneâs body.
Lu Liâs body seemed to be naturally deficient of something, and he had chronic ailments, too. After undergoing the cleansing of the pill, itâd improved quite a bit.
Xie Jianwei checked his pulse for him and then said: âLetâs first take care of your bodyâs health; weâll go slowly.â
Lu Li replied: âOkay.â
Xie Jianwei thought for another moment, then said: âBut this type of problem might not wholly be of the body; it could also be on the mental level, that kindâ¦â He paused for a moment, his eyes sparkling as he said: âDo you mind if I help you a bit every day?â
The fingers hanging by Lu Liâs side violently clenched.
Xie Jianwei looked at him, his face subtly red.
Lu Li stood as straight as a pencil, his voice carrying a little hoarseness in it: âOkay.â
Xie Jianwei smiled: âRest assured, if we work hard together, it definitely wonât be a problem.â
Although he found Lu Li, Xie Jianwei still worked hard to wake up the Blood Clan leader.
He had a vague premonition that the Blood Clan Leader should also be Lu Li. Letting him sleep on was very peaceful, but he couldnât sleep the whole time, either.
It wasnât easy to tell just who was the master of the dreamscape. He could only heal one personality at a time, so he needed to confirm who the master was to proceed.
And with him in the form of a bat in his sleep, there was obviously no way of checking⦠so he needed to get him to wake up.
But he didnât need to be in too much of a hurry either. He could grasp this opportunity to hurry and test whether the Lu Li before his eyes was the master of the dreamscape or not.
If he was, then the King of the Blood Clan could sleep right into the next dreamscape.
[as in continue sleeping into the next dreamscape like one would sleep to the next station on a train or something, or âI will kick you into next weekâ]
Coincidentally, the materials needed to awaken him had also met a bottleneck â there were no leads on any of the three that were left, and there werenât much of any traces even having combed the entire mainland.
Xie Jianwei simply put it down first then, and whole-heartedly helped with Lu Liâs illness.
Even though he woke up from starvation every morning because he couldnât drink hot blood, the good thing was that Lu Li was here. Drinking some of his warm blood could temporarily suppress the feeling of starvation.
He just didnât know how long he could suppress it for. In the end, not drinking hot blood for long periods of time wasnât feasible.
Yan Ke curiously asked: âMy Lord, couldnât you take a drink of someone elseâs hot blood?â
Xie Jianwei: âEn?â
Yan Ke said: âHot blood is only be present after an orgasm, but you donât necessarily have to be the one to make her orgasm, right? After sheâs that by someone else, you can directly go and drink the hot blood.â
Xie Jianwei: ââ¦â
Yan Ke hadnât actually carefully looked at the book on the documentation of blood before, so he blinked while asking: âWhatâs wrong? Canât you?â
Xie Jianwei gave him an analogy: âCould you accept someone else spitting a mouthful of saliva on the cake that youâre eating?â
Yan Ke: ââ¦â
Xie Jianwei said: âThe bloodclans are very territorial. Although theyâre promiscuous, and although it is very rare for someone to understand what the two words âdevotional loveâ mean, theyâre extremely protective of their food. Donât even mention the consumption of hot blood â even when I suck Lu Liâs warm blood every time, Iâm somewhat unable to control myself.â
Yan Ke understood now.
Xie Jianwei said: âAnd hot blood and sex are inseparable. In consuming someoneâs hot blood, even if the hot blood wasnât created by me, I would still uncontrollably have a relationship with him. This has nothing to do with my mental state, itâs to do with biological hormones, understand?â
Yan Ke completely understood now.
Xie Jianwei and Lu Li âshamelesslyâ passed away a few days in the palace.
Actually, they were very innocently chatting, very innocently reading books, and very innocently doing things that werenât meant to be innocent.
Truly, they werenât able to do any âshamelessâ things at all.
But the news that Xie Jianwei had brought back a human had already spread through the entire Blood Clan territory. Moreover, he didnât come out of his house for a whole three days either â the flying rumours being passed around outside were even more ridiculous.
After all, most people knew that Xie Jianwei had fasted for a hundred years. Now that he had finally broken his abstinence, it was only natural that he wouldnât come out of the house.
Another two days had passed when Lorren, who had gone out to find the materials, came back with the spoils.
When he heard of the thing with Xie Jianwei, he felt very happy in his heart. This enigma had finally gotten his priorities straight! It was a human, but that was okay; he only needed to turn him into a bloodclan. Most importantly, Xie Jianwei had finally come out, and he was no longer hellbent on âkeeping himself pureâ for His Majesty. Truly, it was something to celebrate.
His best friend had finally freed himself from the mortifying death by starvation. Admiral Lorren was so happy, he wanted to hold a feast, one that had better party on for three days and three nights!
Lorren came back in high spirits. After settling himself down a bit, he went to look for Xie Jianwei.
He hadnât even gone in yet before his voice rang out first: âYou little brat you, you finally thought things through!â
Xie Jianwei was playing chess with Lu Li. He put down the chess piece and said: âWait for me a little.â
Lu Li naturally agreed.
Lu Li got up and walked out of the room. Xie Jianweiand Lorren hugged, then asked: âWere things successful?â
Lorren replied: âRest assured, Iâm the one doing things. The item is in our hands.â
Xie Jianwei said: âThatâs good then.â
Lorren was extremely curious: âWhereâs the human?â
Xie Jianwei said: âIn the room.â
Lorren was just about to push the door open and enter when Xie jianwei stopped him: âWhat are you doing?â
Lorren said: âDonât worry. I wonât touch your little darling that you worked so hard to find.â
Xie Jianwei replied: âEnough, donât scare him.â
Lorren said: âSo easily scared? Then he needs to get used to it. If he drinks your blood, heâll be an S-class bloodclan at least no matter what. By then, thereâll be plenty of people who adore him,â
Xie Jianwei frowned. Just when he wanted to say something, Lorren, the man of infinite strength that he was, had already pushed the door open and entered.
Lu Li got up in response to the sound. Because at first Lorren had been staring into the light, he hadnât seen his face clearly, and so his only impression was that he was thin and tall, and he mused inwardly that Xie Jianweiâs tastes had changed pretty quickly ah.
But after he walked closer, he suddenly saw Lu Liâs face clearly.
Xie Jianwei saw that the two had already seen each other and could only make the introductions: âThis is Lu Li.â
As he spoke, he then introduced to Lu Li: âThis is Lorren, a good friend of mine.â
Lu Li politely asked after Lorrenâs wellbeing [like, he said âhow are youâ but it didnât explicitly mention what he asked], but Lorrenâs expression was filled with astonishment, as if he had turned himself into a stone statue.
Xie Jianwei had a vague inkling in his heart. He poked Lorren: âWhat are you thinking?â
Lorren came back to his senses, and when he talked, his words were stuttery: âThisâ¦thisâ¦youâ¦youâ¦â
Xie Jianwei looked at him: âSpeak human.â
Lorren heaved a sigh, and when he looked at Xie Jianwei, his gaze was filled with resignation: âYou really areâ¦sigh, it really has been pretty fucking hard on you, to actually be able to find such a person. Lu Li, Lu Li; this name⦠sigh!â
With all his long and short sighs, Lu Li couldnât understand what he was saying at all.
Lorren said to Xie Jianwei: âItâs up to you. Itâs fine as long as you donât starve to death.â
Xie Jianwei didnât reply.
Lorren said again: âIn a moment, thereâs a meeting you need to attend.â
Xie Jianwei said: âI know. Iâll go a little later.â
Lorren couldnât resist glancing at Lu Li again, then he looked at Xie Jianwei again. His gaze moved back and forth, and in the end, he still sighed, saying: âAlright, Iâll go first.â
Xie Jianwei: âSee you later at the meeting.â
Lorren made a sound in reply, turning and leaving.
Lorrenâs behaviour was too strange, it was hard for Lu Li not to pay it mind, even if he didnât want to. He looked at Xie Jianwei with a little doubt.
Xie Jianweiâs mood was also quite complicated. He had basically guessed what was happening, but what could he do? The only thing he could do was follow the script.
Xie Jianwei changed the topic, saying: âWas it my move just then?â He was talking about the game of chess that the two were playing.
Seeing that he wasnât talking about it, Lu Li didnât ask either. But under the drooping curtains of his eyelids, his eyes darkened. He said lightly: âYou donât need to accompany me anymore, if youâve got work then you should go.â
Xie Jianwei said: âNo hurry. Letâs finish this game.â
Lu Li didnât say any more, merely sitting before the chess board, intently staring at the game.
Xie Jianwei lost the game quite skillfully: âYou learned fast; itâs only been a few days, and you can already win against me.â
Lu Li said: âIâm alright.â
Xie Jianwei got up, saying: âI have some stuff to do so Iâll go out for a little. Donât walk around, and donât come out of this room, got it?â
Lu Li said: âI wonât go out.â
Xie Jianwei smiled at him: âDonât be afraid. As long as Iâm here, nobody will bully you.â
In a rare moment, Lu Liâs lips hooked up.
When Xie Jianwei finally walked out from the âVillage of Happinessâ [2], even his subordinates couldnât resist taking sneak peeks at him. Apparently, they were all very curious, wanting to know very much just what kind of âhuge beautyâ could bewitch their Lord Count like so.
They came across quite a few pure bloodclans on the way, and the ones that were familiar with Xie jianwei teased him: âFinally met the one?â
Xie Jianwei laughed noncommitantly.
Shears finally caught him, and the moment he started following behind, he began sobbingly: âWei, is it true that you donât want me anymore? How could a human compare to us pure bloodclans, youâ¦â
âShut up.â Xie Jianwei interrupted his unfinished words.
Shears was undeterred. He wanted to continue acting piteously, but Xie Jianweiâs lips curved up, and he coldly said: âWith regards to my people, itâs fine as long as I think theyâre good.â
Xie Jianwei very rarely got angry. But when people like him who rarely got angry were angered, it was quite terrifying.
Shears was still well aware of where his limits were. He didnât want to make things difficult with Xie Jianwei, so he let out a laugh: âDonât get mad mah, Iâm just making a casual commentâ¦a casual comment.â
This was one of the regular meetings for pure bloodclans. It was nothing more than them reporting on the population of pure bloodclans, giving platitudes on the possibility of reproduction, then giving a critique on the excessive loss of control of F-grade bloodclans and the disasters they caused, and after that theyâd analyse the current situation of the humans, and whether the rate of conversion via the First Embrace should be increased or not, and other such issues concerning âthe livelihood of the peopleâ etc. etc.
The meeting dragged on all afternoon, and by the time Xie Jianwei left, it was already getting dark.
The night was the time of bloodclans. In the past, Lorren would start to revel in wild joy as soon as nighttime arrived, but today, he followed by Xie Jianweiâs side, quite de-spirited.
Xie Jianwei said: âIf you have something to say, then say it.â
Lorren said: âHow did you findâ¦that Lu Li?â
Xie Jianwei replied: âMet him accidentally.â
Lorren said: âHow come he looks so much like His Majesty?â
Just as heâd suspected, thought Xie Jianwei inwardly. But on the surface, he was still quite calm: âI was very surprised too.â
Lorren lightly sighed, saying: âBut you donât have to worry, either. It shouldnât be someoneâs deliberate set-up. After all, there are very few people whoâve seen His Majestyâs visage.â
Xie Jianwei didnât actually know this, but he had to pretend that he did: âI think so, too.â
Lorren patted his shoulder: âIt doesnât matter anymore. If you feel that itâs good, then itâs good. If you like him, then hurry up and make him into one of ours, that way, we can feel secure, too.â
Xie Jianwei hesitated a little.
Lorren said again: âSince youâve recovered your physical strength, then next month I planâ¦â As he was speaking, he abruptly paused.
Xie Jianwei didnât move.
Lorren suddenly grasped his hand. After testing it, he stared, wide-eyed: âHow come you havenât recovered? Have you still not drunk hot blood?â
Xie Jianwei looked at him: âI havenât.â
âWhy didnât you drink some? Is that Lu Li still not able to satisfy you?â
Xie Jianwei could only tell him the truth: âHe has erectile dysfunction.â
Lorren: ââ¦â
Xie Jianwei said: âBut donât worry, if he recuperates properly, then coupled with treatment, I believe he will definitely be able toâ¦â
He hadnât finished speaking, when Lorren had already exploded: âXie Jianwei, have you gone mad?â
Xie Jianwei was dumbstruck by his shouting.
Lorren pressed down on his shoulders, hating that he couldnât shake him awake: âCan you wake up a little? Youâve already abstained from food for a hundred years for His Majesty, are you going to continue your abstinence for a human who looks exactly like him, too, now?!
âCan you stop being so stupid? You are a bloodclan; if you continue tormenting yourself like this, youâll die!â
