Chapter 47: CH 36.2

It was near seven o’clock in the evening by the time they finished shooting. Xie Jianwei opened his phone and sent a message to Lu Li:

And this time, he received a reply:

Xie Jianwei’s eyes lighted up: [Lu Li is back.]

Yan Ke: [The Lord Marshal saw the messages you sent. I bet that even if he was in the outer galaxy, he would come back immediately.]

Xie Jianwei agreed that, that was very likely: [I know… I know that he’s that type of person, that’s why in real world, I dare not send him insignificant messages.]

Yan Ke showed an expression like he’s having a toothache.

Xie Jianwei took a shower and changed clothes before going out.

It was then that Yan Kè came over: “Going out?”

Xie Jianwei nodded.

Yan Kè did not know that Film Emperor Lu had come back, so he nervously asked, “Where are you going?”

While asking, he noticed that Xie Jianwei wore good clothes, and became even more nervous. “Don’t go and play around, you’ll get into a lot of trouble later!”

Xie Jianwei said: “Senior Lu is back.”

Yan Kè felt greatly relieved, and immediately started nagging again: “He wants to see you as soon as he comes back? It seems that he really likes you very much.”

“You will finish filming your parts next month, and at that time there will be a reality show that will start its shooting. See if you can get an invitation.”

Nowadays, reality shows are very popular, and it was said that this reality show’s cast and guests would consist well-known celebrities, so it’ll certainly become a huge hit.

Xie Jianwei is indeed somewhat famous now, but at best, he’s only a C or D-list actor.  If he could get into this reality show, not only would he be able to promote himself, but also Li Dongxing’s drama.

However, being invited to the show would definitely be hard. It would be an easy feat for Lu Li to recommend someone, but whether or not he would open his mouth for Xie Jianwei is an entirely different matter.

Xie Jianwei was dying to see Lu Li. People did  say that ‘absence makes the heart grow fonder’ and  indeed,  they only got separated for around two days, but because of the text messages, Xie Jianwei actually found it quite difficult not thinking about Lu Li.

When the two met, Xie Jianwei immediately hooked his arms around Lu Li’s neck and kissed him with a tilted head.

Lu Li held his waist and responded passionately.

The two were felt hot, and Xie Jianwei’s body started to react, but Lu Li released him because of the sudden knock on the door.

“Come in.” Lu Li answered.

Xie Jianwei didn’t know that there would be other people besides the two of them. He looked at Lu Li inquiringly: “You’re expecting for someone?”

Lu Li remained silent, and the person outside walked in, carrying a bunch of things.

Xie Jianwei was speechless.

Lu Li said: “Gifts for you.”

It was only then that Xie Jianwei understood that … the gold master was  ‘feeding’ him.

Although he doesn’t know from what brands those items were, but if it’s something given by this gold master, it must be a good thing.

He walked over with a look of surprise, and after scanning a look at the gifts, he happily asked: “These are all for me?”

Lu Li said: “Yes.”

Xie Jianwei kissed again: “I like it very much.”

The corners of Lu Li’s mouth rose lightly: “Good.”

Xie Jianwei is actually not talking about those things, but of Lu Li’s reserved attitude which he found to be adorable.  He pondered for a bit, and thought that since the gold master had expressed it this way, he himself should also become more proactive.

So, he began to take off his clothes without further ado, but Lu Li suddenly held his hand: “You said that you’re hungry.”

Xie Jianwei licked his lower lip seductively: “I am hungry.”

“Then eat first.” Lu Li said nonchalantly.

Xie Jianwei looked at Lu Li’s eyes and whispered: “Let me eat down there first.”

Lu Li paused, but eventually fed Xie Jianwei down there

After a round, Xie Jianwei was refreshed, tired, and hungry all at the same time, so he stayed on the bed.

“Get up and eat.”

“I’m so tired.”

“Eat something first and then you can sleep again.” Lu Li coaxed him.

“But I don’t want to go down.” Xie Jianwei stayed on bed without moving.

“What do you want to eat? Let’s get a room service.”

Xie Jianwei had already done his homework, picking out the expensive ones, regardless of whether they taste good or not. In a few minutes, a very mismatched table of ‘nouveau-riche- dinner’ was served.

He finally got up from his bed. He wanted to wear some clothes, and Lu Li’s shirt caught the corner of his eye.

The self-taught Xie • Evil Fox• Jianwei put on Lu Li’s shirt.

He was nearly ten centimetres shorter than Lu Li, so it’s a given that the shirt was big for him. Since it managed to even cover his buttocks, he discarded the pair of pants which was also too big for him to wear.

Lu Li saw him as he got out of the bedroom and immediately frowned, but in the end, he said nothing.

The dining table was long; however Xie Jianwei squeezed himself next to Lu Li uncaringly. And when the latter bowed his head, the picture of Xie Jianwei’s nubs poured into his eyes.

A meal was served to him so willingly, so Lu Li didn’t hesitate to swallow it down. Xie Jianwei became the dish, and the shirt he was wearing was turned into a mess …

Xie Jianwei’s legs felt weak after they ‘tossed’ each other until late at night, and he couldn’t even get up from the ground.

Although Lu Li is a man with few words with a serious expression, he was very indulgent to Xie Jianwei. Xie Jianwei wanted a hug him, so hugged him. He said his back was aching, and so he massaged him.

The atmosphere between the two was particularly good, just like a sweet, loving couple. Xie Jianwei was in a good mood, and actually found that this kind of getting along was very interesting.

Before they slept, Lu Li asked him: “How’s your work recently?”

“My manager said he wanted me to attend a reality show ……”

“I know him well. I talk to him and see if you can join as a regular.” (t/n: Guests will only attend one episode, or if they got invited again; whereas regulars/emcees are part of the cast. They’ll be hosting and at the same time join the activities together with the guests, and they’ll be in most episodes, if not all.)

Xie Jianwei was about to fall asleep but upon  recalling his ‘task’, he became invigorated at once and a look of pleasant surprise on his face, he said: “Really?”

“It’s an easy task.”

Xie Jianwei was very happy, and he kissed Lu Li’s face: “Senior Lu! You are so nice!”

Lu Li smiled.

Xie Jianwei felt that he had to show how grateful he truly was, so he turned around and rubbed his buttocks against Lu ‘Big’ Li, softly saying, “But you’re nicer here.”

After a night full of shamelessness, Xie Jianwei couldn’t wake up early the next day.

Lu Li didn’t wake him up either. Instead, he asked his assistant to call Li Dongxing to let the latter push Xie Jianwei’s shooting schedule to a later date.

It was already afternoon when Xie Jianwei managed to open his eyes. He sat up in shock and frantically got out of bed “It’s over! I overslept! Director Li will definitely kill me this time!”

He hurriedly started dressing himself when Lu Li walked in: “Don’t worry. I already asked the Director for a leave on your behalf.”

Xie Jianwei blinked: “You … asked for a leave?”

“It’s okay. The time is not as tight as what Li Dongxing had said.”

Xie Jianwei relaxed.

“I ’m going to go out later. If you want to sleep, then you can sleep again. “

Xie Jianwei hesitated: “Uhmm …”

“What?”

Xie Jianwei asked nervously: “Are you coming back tonight?”

Lu Li paused.

Xie Jianwei hurriedly added: “I won’t leave if you come back, but if you have something to do tonight, I’ll, I’ll…”

“I’ll be back.” Lu Li said.

Xie Jianwei’s eyes were smiling, and his voice was clear: “Okay!”

After that, Xie Jianwei continuously stayed in the suite for half a month. He went to filming during the day and returned there at night. Most of the time, Lu Li would arrive later than him most of the time, and even if it’s already after midnight, Lu Li would still come back.

The two did not have sex so often and just hugged each other while sleeping, since most of the time, both of them were tired during the day.

In the second half of the month, Xie Jianwei had fewer scenes to shoot, so he spent more time sitting idly within the crew, and instead of reading a book, he busied himself with sending messages to Lu Li. The man would occasionally reply a couple of times, and every time Xie Jianwei read the messages, elation would show visibly on his face.

One day, while  Xie Jianwei was holding his phone as usual, Yan Kè came and excitedly told him a news: “You little fellow! You really got a spot on the reality show!”

Xie Jianwei said: “Senior Lu said that he and Senior Shen are familiar with each other.”

“The more familiar two people are, the more difficult it is to speak of requests about work-related things, do you understand! This shows that Film Emperor Lu really cares about you!”

Xie Jianwei smiled: “Understood.” Although he was speaking with Yan Kè, his eyes were still focused on his phone.

Yan Kè observed him for a moment. All of a sudden his heart jumped with some apprehension and asked: “Ah-Wei, don’t be silly, okay?”

Xie Jianwei looked at him, puzzled: “Huh?”

Yan Kè whispered: “I understand that you’re very smart, but I still have to give a reminder that you and Film Emperor Lu are in ‘mutual-benefit relationship’. Just be intimate in bed —don’t get confused after you get out of the bed.”

Xie Jianwei: “….”

Yan Kè was very sensitive. He contemplated about the situation and felt that something was wrong: Those two, they’ve been meeting with each other a little too often in the past half month, aren’t they? And Xie Jianwei had been holding and staring at his phone while smiling all day long…This behavior…

…Is clearly of someone in love! Fuck!

Yan Ke became even more nervous: “You must take it easy, and don’t lose your sense of propriety! How can you have such thoughts for Film Emperor Lu? If you fall in love with him, you’re done for!”

Xie Jianwei was not happy, Done for? I’ve been in love with him since ten years ago, and I hadn’t been ‘done for’, so far.

Yan Ke quickly expressed his loyalty: [My Lord, I sincerely wish you and the Marshal a lifetime of love and happiness!]

Yan Kè, on the other hand, continued on his desperate attempt: “You should never let your heart be moved. Think about what you did before — you requested for resources, a car, a house—Film Emperor Lu gave it all to you. But do you think he’s so stupid that he actually doesn’t know what you’re really going for? He’s just playing around with you. If you fall into his trap, then all is ruined, you understand?”

Love is an untouchable subject in these kinds of relationship. If you touch it, then all the benefits would become garbage. Previously, Xie Jianwei didn’t take their relationship to heart at all, therefore he could demand this and that. But if he fall in love with Film Emperor Lu, could he still speak of things with sure benefits? It’s very likely that he’ll just give up everything he had and instead beg Lu Li to look at him and give him more of his time.

When that time comes, the only thing Xie Jianwei would get in return is a red fart for the rest of his life, Yan Kè thought. (t/n: Red fart =  can’t find what it means even after searching in Baidu. But based on context, I think it basically means instead of a red packet, which symbolizes good things i.e money, popularity etc, XJW will only get a red fart which basically means nothing/air.)

Xie Jianwei sighed: “Relax. I won’t fall in love with him.”

Yan Kè was not fully convinced: “You have to get a hold of yourself.” He was kind of regretting it now.  When Xie Jianwei first mentioned to him of wanting to end his relationship with the Film Emperor, he should’ve just supported him. Perhaps, Xie Jianwei already felt that he was falling in love with Lu Li at that time that’s why he was so adamant about breaking up.

The human heart is the most difficult to control. Even if you know that your feelings won’t bear fruit, you can’t resist someone being so nice to you..

After Xie Jianwei film finished its shooting, Lu Li still accompanied him to watch other movies for studying other kinds of roles.

Xie Jianwei said: “I still think that Chen Li is good.” In the end, Song Qian still chose the male lead Jiang Sen. Although she married Chen Li and lived with him for two years, she still went back to Jiang Sen’s side after his return.

Chen Li, who loved, spoiled and accommodated everything regarding Song Qian for two years, couldn’t bear to watch her cry —the woman he didn’t dare touch, the one whom he held in the palm of his hand like a treasure.

At the movie’s finale, Chen Li was left alone for a lifetime, forever guarding her from afar— a tragic character with a tragic role.

“I don’t like Chen Li.” said Lu Li.

Xie Jianwei looked at him: “Why? I think that Chen Li is very good. If I were Song Qian, I would definitely choose to be with him.”

“If I were Chen Li, those two would definitely not end up with each other.”

As soon he heard that sentence, Xie Jianwei understood that he was looking at Chen Li from the perspective of Song Qian, while Lu Li was looking at Chen Li from the perspective of Chen Li.

Lu Li whispered: “Even if I know that she likes someone else, even if she’ll never accept me, even if she won’t become happy by staying by my side— I still don’t want to let her go.”

Xie Jianwei’s heart surged, and he said: “Keeping each other company, willingly, is true happiness…”

“Let’s stop talking about this,” Lu Li laughed lightly and continued,  “You’re not Song Qian, and I’m not Chen Li— we have no right to interfere with their choices.”

“…Indeed.” murmured Xie Jianwei.

After the movie’s upcoming release, Xie Jianwei would definitely gain countless fans from playing Chen Li’s role. After all, a lot of women dreams of being together with such a handsome and devoted man. In addition, Xie Jianwei’s performance was remarkable in every aspect, even better than the actor who played Jiang Sen. There’s a chance that  he would overshadow the male lead.

Xie Jianwei got busy. There were several promotions to run every day, and he had to publicize the movie with the other casts. It was rare for him to be this busy.

In fact, Xie Jianwei knew that this was deliberately arranged by Yan Ke.

He purposely filled Xie Jianwei’s itinerary in order to make him and Lu Li have some time away from each other, so that Xie Jianwei could calm his apparently  ‘fevered brain ‘— so that he would stop pining for Lu Li.

Xie Jianwei didn’t stop him—  it’s not like his feelings would die down just because he’s busy. On contrary, he felt more at ease by only sending messages. And by the time they are able to meet, the feeling of just seeing each other’s face would definitely be more satisfying than having sex.

He wants to have a nice, sweet, and loving relationship with Lu Li, to the point where people could see pink bubbles around the two of them.

He’s not only doing this to solve Lu Li’s heart knot,  but to also probe out.

If everything goes on as it should, would someone from within this dreamscape try to obstruct it?

Xie Jianwei could stay calm, but some people couldn’t.

The recording of the reality show was about to start, so Shen Lei booked a private room at a restaurant and brought all the related personnel together.

Lu Li was also invited, together with Xie Jianwei.

This was the first time Shen Lei saw Xie Jianwei. After greeting each other, Shen Lei glanced at him a few more times.

Lu Li whispered: “Don’t bully him.”

Shen Lei smiled: “I don’t dare.”

Xie Jianwei felt that the way Shen Lei looked at him was a little weird, but he didn’t show it on his face.

Although it was a private gathering, Shen Lei was acquainted with a lot of people, so it was quite lively.  The number of people who attended was not small, and all of them are well-known personages.

Upon Lu Li’s arrival, a lot of people greeted him. Xie Jianwei did not stay beside him given how many people gathered around the man, so instead, he went to talk to others.

A total of six people would participate in the reality show, so he got himself acquainted with them.

After the banquet reached it’s second half, Xie Jianwei figured that he could already leave, so he looked around but did not see Lu Li’s figure.

Xie Jianwei went to find him and accidentally heard someone talking.

“It’s been years. It’s almost time to let go of the past.” Shen Lei’s soft voice sounded.

Lu Li didn’t say anything.

“I didn’t feel it when I looked at the pictures, but seeing the real person, they really do look alike.”

“Not that much.” Lu Li finally opened his mouth.

“Whether they look the same or not, you know very well… The point is the name……”

“It’s just a coincidence.” Lu Li rebutted.

“A coincidence? One is Xie Zhiwei, the other Xie Jianwei. Same surnames, and their names are only one character apart.”

Lu Li slightly frowned: “Don’t mention the past.”

“I don’t want to mention it, but you— you’ll have to get over it.”

Lu Li paused and said: “I won’t see him again.”

Shen Lei sighed, “Forget it— I can see that Xiao Jianwei is a very charming person. It’s good that you like him.. “

Yan Ke was stunned after hearing such a conversation: [Heavens! Who is this damned Xie Zhiwei?]

Xie Jianwei didn’t appear surprised at all, and he even calmly answered: [His ‘white moonlight’.]
