Lily's POV~
When I woke up, Hope wasn't there, but she left a note on the nightstand.
I didn't want to wake you, you seemed like you needed sleep. Went to school already, see you soon. -With all my love, Hope
I smiled at the note and got up to get dressed, my classes start today but I only have one today and it's not till later. When I took my shirt off, I almost screamed. There was this weird rash on my left hip area. This made me groan. Getting dressed quickly, since this rash put me in a bad mood, I decided to show it through my outfit. Black, tight leather pants, white lace off the shoulder top that covers the rash, but shows a little bit of cleavage, a red blazer with the school's logo, and red heels.
Walking out of my room, I head straight to my sisters' room. I'm about to knock when the headmaster walks out. "Well good morning Miss Salvatore, ready for classes today?" He asks and I just ignore him and walk into my sisters' room shutting the door. "Why was he in here?" I ask Josie. She looks away and then goes to say something but someone called on the intercom for anyone who can speak Japanese to go to the front gates of the school. Looking at each other with questioning looks, we walk out of her room together and go to the front gates.

"Dude I'm gonna find someone who can understand you, but I need to know that you're not going to go all stabby-" Dorian states as Josie and I walk up. Josie takes the lead in talking to the weird-looking man and I just listen. "Since when do you speak Japanese?" Dorian asks and I laugh a little before answering him, "Since Lizzie's old therapist office was next to a Japanese language school. But I also know French, Russian, and Latin."
The man starts speaking and Dorian asks what is he saying. "He's... Crazed?" Josie says and I reply "I think that might be his name. Also means crazed." I look back at the man as he speaks again. "He's a demon hunter looking for an Oni, which is like a demon ghost thing." and then Josie finishes my sentence, "He said he followed his sword here and it glows around... Jinstu-riki?" Then lightbulbs go off in our heads and we say simultaneously "Oh! Oh! Supernaturals!"
"Okay, makes sense why he wound up here. But I've never seen one of those" Dorian says pointing to his mask, and the man starts speaking angrily. "He says that we wouldn't know if the Oni was here or not. It possesses people and it could be anywhere. In anyone." I say looking at Josie with concern written all over our faces. "That means that the Oni probably isn't here. If the monsters are looking for Landon-" I start and they catch on, "Then it's wherever Landon is." Josie says and Dorian looks worried. "Yeah except Landon and Rafael went to talk to Ric." this makes me groan internally.
We let him and go to Josie's room to find Lizzie there. "Oh good you're both here, I have something to say-" I paise and lift my shirt so the rash is visible, "Which one of you has been doing black magic?! Especially black magic bad enough to affect me!" I say this whilst putting my shirt back down and Lizzie gets a dead expression on her face before pulling up her sleeve, revealing the same rash and she glares at Josie. "Seriously. You're using black magic again? Let me remind you that whatever happens to you, happens to me too. And apparently if bad enough, Lily too!" Lizzie yells and I simply glare at Josie.
"And it won't happen again," She says and before I can ask a question, Lizzie speaks, "Well you're just lucky that Sebastian likes the old fashioned look." then the Samurai guy starts yelling from outside. "That's what I wanted to talk to you about" Josie claims before pulling the guy into the room. "Who the hell is that?" Lizzie asks and Kurutta, the samurai, sets his things down.
"Long story. Short version? He is a samurai/demon hunter who lost his Oni and the only way we can kill it is with his demon-vanishing sword before the demon carries Landon into Malivore. Can you come?" Josie says really fast and Lizzie pauses to take it all in. "Well, I suppose if I cancel my date it will this rash some time to clear up" She finally says and Josie bear hugs her saying thank you I don't know how many times.
Kurutta laughs knocks on his head, before making a 'you're crazy' motion at Lizzie. "He's talking about me, isn't he? He's calling my crazy." Lizzie says quietly making me shake my head and respond, "No, he's talking about the Oni. It possesses people making them act crazy." "Well, then I retract my offer. My mental health is the most important thing to me right now guys. A rash I can deal with, but I can't risk crazy." Lizzie states and Kurutta runs out if the room shooting at students, chasing them with his sword. Josie runs after him yelling.
I go to walk out too but Lizzie grabs me. "Lil wait. You wanted to talk to me last night, what's on your mind?" When she asks this I give her a small smile. "There were a few things, but for now, I just want to say thank you. You know for helping me get my humanity back." I say and I hug her. "Of course, can't have my sister like that for school, who else would I rant to every day" Lizzie replies, making me laugh. Pulling away I go to the door, "Enjoy your date, Liz, I'm off to kill an Oni." and then I leave.

I caught up to Josie and Kurutta, and we followed him to Mystic Falls High. We see Hope, Landon, and Alaric by a car. "Dad?" Josie says as we walk up. "Girls, what are you doing here?" He asks and Kurutta speaks, Josie then translates, I'm too busy laughing at what he said. "He said we came to protect the... Bonsai-headed boy. I think" When I finally stop laughing I pointed to Landon, "Oh I am so calling you that." I comment and he shakes his head, "Please don't." I just nod, "Too late."
Josie glances at Hope before turning to Kurutta and speaking to him. Only I can understand. And I want happy. They both glare at Hope before Josie speaks to her, "Its Japanese for what the hell is she doing here" I roll my eyes and walk over to Hope, kissing her on her cheek. "And here I thought that Lizzie and I were the bitches of the family." I say and Hope smacks me before speaking to me, "Be nice." And I shake my head. "Pass. That black magic the headmaster told Josie to do at the game affected me. So sorry, not sorry if I'm not nice to her. Especially since she's treating you like shit when you haven't done anything." I say whilst crossing my arms.
"Just because she's supernatural, and Lily's girlfriend doesn't mean she should be here." Josie claims and I just roll my eyes. "Well suck it up because she's staying. Kurutta-sun." I say the last part to Kurutta, asking him to tell us everything. Josie translates. "Dropped on his head as a baby... Went to samurai school to learn discipline... That's where he learned how to slay Oni, demons, that's what we'refighting. He was known as a hero... All the women begged to..." He starts making a grinding motion with his sword and Josie and I yell at him. "Hey! Hey! Stop, that's so gross. I don't even know that word but I'm pretty sure it's not relevant."
Landon laughs, and I can see Hope trying not to laugh as well. "Josie, let's get to the point." Alaric said and Kurutta continued. Then I took over translating. "He spent months tracking an Oni that could possess people through touch. He was just about to kill it when it found its way into the body of a child, escaping again. He tracked it, but he couldn't bring himself to harm an innocent child. So he made an impossible choice. And he took the Oni into himself instead. He had some control over himself due to his broken mind. He tried to stab himself with his sword but the Oni stopped him. So he vowed never to touch another person ever again. Then, Malivore, endless darkness, psychological torment, then he came through an unu, I think he's talking about a portal. But he doesn't remember where."
"Okay, how do we kill it?" Landon asks and Josie points to the sword. "With his sword. It's spelled with a special kind of magic that can kill it. All we have to do is find it." then Rafael starts banging on the car, breaking out. "Not a problem." Hope says as he goes to attack Kurutta. When they start fighting, Hope does a spell to take the sword away and Kurutta gets thrown against a bus. When Raf goes to run away, he runs at me. I use my vamp speed to go across the parking lot away from him, and he runs off. Vamp speeding back over, I groan. "Why does he always try and attack me?!?!" I yell and Hope just shakes her head before wrapping an arm around my waist, calming me down.

I'm not sure how, but I was the one sent to take Rafael back to school. Once I dropped him off I vamp sped back. When I got to Mystic Falls High, I heard a loud crashing noise. Following the sound, I found Hope unconscious on the floor in Alaric's office. I ran to her right away, and slightly shook her, "Hey, Hope. Hope." she started stirring making me sigh in relief. "Ow" she says sitting up and I laugh. I pick her and set her on the couch as Alaric and Josie walk in.
"What happened? You said you were gonna help." Josie says angrily and I glare at her. "Give her a sec Jo. Your head isn't healing as fast as normal babe it's gonna hurt for a while." I say the last part gently moving a piece of Hope's hair away from the wound Landon caused. "Were you possessed?" Josie asks crossing her arms. "No. Landon was." Hope replies in a somewhat annoyed tone. "The demon must have been in Kurutta and when Landon touched him, it went into him." When I say that Alaric runs his chair around to show Kurutta with his throat slit.
"Do you have something of Landon's cause then you guys could do a locator spell." Alaric says while grabbing a bag. "Yeah I do but that's not mine." Josie replies, going to her bag. "The sheriff must have left this." he says quietly while looking at a file. I do the locator spell with Josie, given that Hope is still a little hurt, and soon we're off to kill a demon.

We ran to the town square to see Landon dead and Lizzie chained to a tree. "Lizzie are you okay?" I ask while Josie checks on Landon. "Nope. I am super crazy. At least I have a reason this time. The demons in me." Lizzie states and her eyes glow red.
Hope was tightening the chains, Lizzie is in when Lizzie growled and lunged at her, making Hope back up really fast. It was actually really funny. "Oooooh sorry. That was really embarrassing, we haven't really met yet have we? I'm Lizzie." Lizzie says to Hope and she nods and walks over to me. "I don't get it. If the Oni is in you, how are you talking to us right now?" Josie asks, looking at our sister.
"I don't know. I-I can feel it in my head trying to take over. I don't know how much longer I can hold it off." Lizzie says looking down, then suddenly she looks up and smiles "Nevermind. It's gone. You can untie me" Then she gasps and starts talking again. "I didn't say that. It did okay? So don't untie m- Listen to me, I'm fine, so let me out and we can go- okay, you have got to do something. Please, otherwise it's gonna win" It's like she's Jackal and Hide.
"She's fighting the demon like Kurutta did." Hope says and we all agree. "I already know I'm crazy okay? No need to rub it in." "Kurutta was not crazy and neither are you." Josie replies back and Lizzie just shakes her head. "Where's dad? I just want dad."Â "Kurutta was able to fight the demon for years, if you just give us some time we can-" Hope comments trying to calm Lizzie down, but it doesn't work because Lizzie starts crying.
"No. I can't live like this anymore. This whole time I thought I was better but I've just been seeing things... Sebastian isn't real... I've been seeing things and hearing things and feeling things that no one else does. And it's scary. Scarier than any demon in my head. Although that sucks too." This makes me start crying too. "Lizzie, hey, it's okay. It's going to be okay we're going to fix you." Josie says and Lizzie just shakes her head. "No. There is no fixing me. I am just shattered. And the pieces are just too small to put back together. Tell dad I love him. But you have to end this... With that sword." Once Lizzie says this, I react without thinking.
I go in my bag and pull out a bottle of vervain, I had a feeling I would need it for something. Using my vamp speed, I untie Lizzie without touching her, then dump the vervain on the chains. Tieing myself up with them hurt. But when I did I reached over and grabbed Lizzie's arm, and the demon came into me. "Oh my god! Lily what are you doing?!" Hope yelled as I screamed a little, the vervain hurts like hell.
"I'm saving my sister. Because Lizzie, if you're shattered then I'm disintegrated. And you're not crazy Liz, I saw him too. Now figure out a way to kill it!" I say as it tries to take control, and it does for a second. "Oh... A powerful witch this one is... If I can't win, then let's see what you're future has in store." and like that, my eyes gloss over. "Oh my god, what is it doing to her?!" I hear Josie yell. "It's using her magic." Hope says, and then I start screaming.
Hope's POV~
When Lily starts screaming, we all freak out. Her eyes turned white. "Lily! Hey, what's happening?" I say getting as close as I can. "Oh god make it stop!" she yells and she grabs her head, and then she starts screaming again, and her eyes turned gold. "Why is this happening?! You psychopath!" When she yells this we all freak out even more. "Lily? Who are you talking about?" Lizzie asks and then Lily let's out a growl, her fangs come out and black veins appear under eyes, but her eyes are still gold.
Then she groans, and then yells at us, "Whatever you're going to do, do it now!" "We are not killing you." I say and she just shakes her head. "Then I will" after she says that she lifts her arm and the sword raises, but Josie grabs it before it could kill Lily. "There's so much black magic in this that it hurts to hold." Josie says and Lily just shakes her head. "Probably won't feel too good getting stabbed by it either." Then Josie gets an idea, "I can pull the magic out of this and get the Oni out of you."
As Josie starts doing that, black beans appear all over her skin and her eyes turn black. Then she shoots the magic out and pulls the Oni out of Lily. Once she does that, I run over and break the chains, pulling Lily into my arms. "Thank god, you're okay." I say and she nods her head. "I um, I don't feel so g-" she starts to say something but then she collapses, so does Josie and Lizzie. I was able to catch Lily seeing as I have her in my arms already, but her sisters fell to the ground.

Alaric took Landon to the woods so he wouldn't burst into flames in the town square, and I took Lily to her room. When I get in, I set her on her bed, and then just wait. About an hour later, she jolts awake, breathing heavily. "Hey," I say quietly and touch her shoulder, making her jump. But she relaxed when she saw it was me. "How are you feeling?" I ask in the same tone as before and she shrugs. "I don't know to be honest. The Oni used my magic to show me glimpses of my future. And what I saw wasn't good Hope." she replied looking at me, she was scared.
I just pull her to my chest, and we sit there like that for a while. Then she gets up, speeds around her room so I can't really see what she's doing, then she stops with a bag in her hand. "Come on, I want to take you somewhere." she claims and grabs my hand pulling me up. She grand car keys from by her door and leads me to the garage.
When we get out there, she unlocks this really nice black and blue car. "This is your car?" I ask as she opens the trunk. "Yeah, I got it over the summer. Probably the one thing I don't regret doing." She replies and opens the passenger door for me. Once we both get in, she starts driving to I don't know where. And she won't tell me either.
Soon we pull up to a foreclosed mansion. I see she's getting out so I do the same. "Okay, seriously Lil, where are we?" I ask as she grabs her bag. She still doesn't answer me, she simply grabs my hand and pulls me to the door. When we walk in, it's almost pitch black, the only light showing is from the moon. Lily walks in a bit more and raises her hands out in front of her. "The best part about magic, is I can do this..." when she says that all the lights turn on. I recognize this place, but I'm not sure how.
"This, my love. Is the Mikaelson mansion. This is where your family stayed when the lived here before we were born." Lily explains turning to me, watching my reaction. That's where I recognized this place from, a family picture of a gala they held here. "How did you know about this place?" I ask finally looking at her. "You remember that spell I told you about that fixed your painting you did with your dad?" She asked and I simply nodded. "Well, I used that but more amplified to recreate my dad's journals. He wrote about the party here, and sometimes when I read something, I can see the memory, I'm not sure how but I just do. I thought it was really cool so I wanted to show you. And maybe, if you're up for it..."
She paused, reaching into her bag she pulled out roller skates. I shook my head smiling "You know I can't skate. The last time we tried this I broke both of our ankles." Once I said this she laughed at the memory. "Well lucky for both of us, I know how to skate so I can help you. And you know, if it doesn't work, we both heal fast so that's a plus." this made us both laugh.
When I see her face I shake my head smile as she walks over to me, and I wrap my hands around her waist. "Stop doing that." I say and she tilts her head before responding, "Doing what?" "That thing you do with your eyes. It's like you know how to make them shine and it makes me want to make you happy." when I say this she raises her eyebrows. "Yeah? Is it working?" she asks leaning closer, and we both smile. "Maybe" after I say that she pulls away and hands me the skates. "Yay," she says and skips away to her bag, making me laugh. "You're such a tease"
She smiles innocently, "Sure am. But you love it." this makes me roll my eyes. I sit down, take off my shoes and put the roller skates on, then I wait for Lily to get hers on. "Okay, we both have skates on, now help me up," I say holding my arms out. She laughs but gets up none the less. She then skates over to me and helps me up, it takes a minute because I almost fell. Twice.
Lily starts laughing hysterically, "Wow. I-I forgot h-how bad you were at this... W-why would you agree to this?" she says still laughing. If I wasn't holding onto her so I wouldn't fall I would have smacked her. "Ha-ha laugh it up Lil, my being a terrible skater is hilarious." I say and just smiles, and replies, "I think it's adorable. Now, let's check out the rest of the house." this makes me laugh, until I see she isn't joking. "Wait, you're serious?" I ask and she nods. "Lil, I will fall and break something." then she grabs my hands and starts to pull me. "Well, then it's a good thing that your amazing girlfriend has quick reflexes."

After falling and almost falling about five times, we took off the skates and now we're just walking around. Then she stopped when we entered a certain room close to the entrance of the house. "This is where our parents danced together. Your dad gave my mom that dress you wore at the pageant for that night." Lily says and walks to an old piano in the room. She starts playing a song I know, and it makes me smile.
She starts to sing it and does some spell to keep the piano playing before walking over to me. "May I have this dance, my love," she asks holding out her hand, I laugh and nod, taking her hand and she smiles before continuing to sing as we start dancing.
As the piano stops and the song ends, we're both leaning in, and as our lips are about to touch a voice makes us jump apart. "You're trespassing." looking to the voice Lily smiles. "Sheriff, don't you look nice. But uh... Aren't you off right now?" she asks and the sheriff looks unamused, "I got a call saying the light to an old mansion were turned on, was headed this way anyway. So what are you two doing here? I always knew you were trouble."
"Right, well, Sorry for coming in here, but there isn't a no trespassing sign, and we didn't break anything. We both just had a rough night and I thought, bringing Hope to her family's old mansion where our parents danced at a gala would cheer her up. We'll get out of your hair. Sorry." Lily states calmly before we go to walk out. The sheriff I guess decides to let us go thank god and we all walk out of the mansion.
"Who's car is this?" the sheriff asks and Lily opens the trunk. "Mine" "How the hell can a sixteen-year-old have a car that costs more than my house?" the sheriff asks out loud but mainly to herself, and I laugh, knowing Lily will have some snarky reply. I was right. Lily smirks and says innocently, "Well sheriff, when you're a Salvatore, you're rich. Hence why I go to the school for troubled rich kids. Not to mention you know, it's my house." When Lily says this I laugh. "Have a nice night sheriff." I say and get in the car.
After that, we went to the Mystic Grill. Since it was late there wasn't really anyone there. While we were waiting for our food, I decided to ask the question that I know Lily doesn't want to answer. "So... As much fun our date has been... What happened why you were possessed, Lil?"
The question caused her to stiffen and shift uncomfortably. "I don't want to talk about it" she answered quietly avoiding eye contact. I go to object but she cuts me off, "Hope, please. I will tell you when I'm ready I promise, but just... Not yet." Seeing the pleading in her eyes, I sigh and drop it for now. And we get back to normal conversations, trading jokes and memories from when we were younger.
And the night ended with us cuddled up in Lily's bed watching old movies. Then we fell asleep.
