Lily's POV~
The monster trap worked. Thanks to my speed, I got there before Dad, Hope, and Dorian.
When they walk up I look at my dad. "I know this is important but you couldn't put pants on first?" I ask and he points to Hope and I, "You two. It's too early for your snarky comments. Shut it." I hold my hands up in defense. Dorian speaks, "Looks like one of our horses got out" I nod, "That's what I thought too. But then I remembered we don't have a white horse. And this one has a-" before I can finish my sentence it turns around. "Its a unicorn." Hope says and Dad goes to shoot it.
"Woah wait!" I say and Hope and I get in front of them. "It's a monster, girls, it's here to take the artifact." "You are seriously not suggesting that we kill a unicorn!" Hope says with a distorted face. "I'm saying we shouldn't give it a pass because it's cute." Dorian states looking at us like we're crazy. "Can't we just leave it alone. It's trapped it's harmless" I say and my dad nods. "Lily's right. If we keep it alive no other monster will come for the urn. So we stay alert and let it be."
"Okay well, I'm gonna go stay alert in bed." I say and then vanish.

I was walking up to Hope, Landon, Rafael, and my sisters when dad finished announcing the talent show was canceled. "Kind of overkill if you ask me. I told your dad that a unicorn market counts as a monster." Hope says and my eyes almost pop out of their sockets. "Hope! Why would you tell them!" Hope gets up and puts a hand on my shoulder. "Relax love, you've seen it, it's harmless." She says and kisses my cheek.
I give her a confused face and put my hand on her forehead, "Are you feeling okay? You're acting, I don't know openly cheerful. You usually only act like that near me." and she swats my hand away before bear-hugging me. "Relax little star, I just woke up on the good side of the bed this morning and decided to show it." and then she pulls away and walks out of the room. I simply follow her. Suddenly I felt really... Happy.
"Hey, we should do a talent." Hope says looking at Landon and I. "Yeah, we've never really wanted to because there were only two of us. But now we have the tribrid, the hybrid and whatever it is you are." I say agreeing with Hope. "Okay, yeah sure. Team other." He agrees and Hope and I high five.

A few hours later, the talent show is back on, and the witches are setting up. Hope and I are with a small group having fun when Josie walks up. "Hey have either of you seen the stupid canes? Lizzie was asking me to find them." "You seem very anti-cane," Hope says leaning her head on my shoulder.
"No, just very anti doing the same thing every year." Josie says and I nod. "Then don't. Lizzie's not a dictator, change it up. Sing! You have a lovely voice." I say and smile. "We'll keep an eye out. But, I think someone has an eye out for you" Hope says point behind my sister, Penelope is walking to us. "Oh dear god hide me," Josie says and she hides behind me. But it doesn't work. Penelope walks up and hands Josie a note. "Just, read it in private." Josie takes it and stands up. "I won't be reading it at all." and Penelope walks away.
"So sis, what do you think it says? Check this box if you wanna kiss me, check that box if you want to kill me?" I say standing up. "I don't know and I don't want to find out." she says and Hope replies "If you need me to help you smite the she-devil, I got you, girl." and i bounce up and down "Oh yes! Finally, I've been dying for an excuse to use this spell Aunt Bonnie said the Gemini coven liked to use."
"Okay did Emma slip you guys happy pills while we were gone?" Josie asked feeling my forehead. I shake my head, "Nope, just having fun. Your days gonna get so much better Jo, trust me." I say and hug her tight. Before walking away.

Walking to Hope's classroom, I sit next to her. "Thanks for coming, but you heal super fast so how do I know if the gel heals you or you heal yourself?" I smile and hold up an empty vile. "I drank vervain for you. So my healing is slowed a little."
Hope looks at me shocked. "You didn't half to do that, I know it hurts you." she says concerned. I just shrug, "for you, it's worth it." and she blushes a little.
"Do you trust me?" Hope asks leaning towards me with a scalpel. "Always," I say and she makes a small cut on my cheek. "So, how's your day been?" Hope says quietly while dabbing her finger in the healing gel and coming closer to my face. "Better now that I'm with you again." I say in the same tone.
I was a little when she puts the gel on my cheek. Then I look into her eyes, glancing at her lips, she glances at mine too. She brushes a piece of my hair behind my ear, and we both start to lean in. But before anything happens, the teacher says something "Nice job Hope" and we both pull away. "Thanks, Ms. Featherwood."

"Are you sure baking is a talent?" Landon asks as Hope checks on the cake she helps Landon make, while I pull out a souffle out of the other oven. "Positive. Not everyone can master the science of baking. Want a bite?" I ask poking into the chocolate souffle and hand Hope a spoon. She takes a bite and moans "mmmm it's SO good! Baking is definitely a talent." she says and hands Landon a spoon to try it. "Yeah okay, you're right. Baking is definitely a talent. And i do not have it. But Lily, you sure do, that's amazing." he says pointing the chocolatey goodness. "Thanks, Landon." I say smiling.
"This day has been amazing. But you know what would make it more amazing? If we get rid of the stupid urn." I say and Hope nods her head. "Yeah let's go, it'll be like a fun little road trip, just take it where it leads us." Hope says and Landon shakes his head. "Well according to what the necromancer told you both, Malivore is where that leads. Are you guys feeling okay?"
"Fine. Just want to get rid of the urn" Hope says and Landon tries to get the cake out. "Hope can you get the vent?" he asks, she goes to turn it on and it shocks her. Then a weird bug comes out of her ear. "Oh my god. What is that?!" Hope yells and Landon stabs it with a knife before saying "Gou ever seen Wrath of Khan?"
Hope grabs my hand and shocks herself again, inevitably shocking me. "Ah!" and then one of those weird creatures comes out of my ears too. "I have an idea. Be right back, meet me in my dad's office." and I walk out to find what I'm looking for.

"Did you guys get a good look at this thing. Barts of it look bioluminescent." Hope says looking at the parasite in the jar when I walk in. "Exactly what i was thinking. Which is why, I grabbed these." and I turn on a black light. Sure enough, it glowed. Dorian grabbed the light and flashed it on my face and Hope's. He and Landon didn't make good faces. "We don't want to know, do we?" I ask and the shake their heads. "Probably not."
"Alright everyone grab a light. We can use them to find out who's infected." I say and grab the bag, passing them out before walking out of the room. We walked to the living room, and the whole room lit up with slug trails. "This is why I hate sci-fi," Hope says looking around. "Huh, and yet you still watch them." I respond walking to another room. "Yeah, because you make me." she says laughing sarcastically.
We get to where all the students are, and everyone is infected. "We need a way to disinfect everyone. Fast." Dorian says quietly. "Already on it. Let's move. Now." I say and pull them out of the room.
"What are you doing?" Landon asks as I pull out chains. "Locking everyone in. Hope, spell this shut for me, Landon, take this, go to the air ducts, get above us, and dump all of that bag into the air. I'm going to chain the other door. Meet back here when everything is done." and I speed away to lock the other door.
When I get to the other door, pod people are trying to get out. "Yeah, that's a nope for me." I say and chain the door whilst putting a spell on it so it'll stay. "Okay, good pod people." and then I go back to where Hope is, Dorian went to call my dad.
"Okay, doors are chained and spelled shut, all the pod people are in." I say and as if on cue, Lizzie walks up. "What are you two doing out here? HEY!" Lizzie yelled as I chained her. "Sorry sis, nothing personal, you're simply infected with a mind-controlling parasite." she looked at me like I was insane. "Lillian Estrella Forbes-Salvatore. You and your little girlfriend need to unchain me now. Or so help me I will- ow" I look at her, "What just happened to you?" "Nothing you little- Ow! Okay fine. Mom gave me this bracelet and I spelled it to shock me whenever I say something mean." Lizzie says and I untie her.
"That's why you've been so nice all day." Hope says in realization. "Yeah well, worst idea ever. I spelled it to increase voltage." "No, that brilliant, it kept you from being infected. But why agent you in there with everyone else?" I ask as Landon comes back. "I was looking for Josie, she bailed and she had been acting weird all day. Probably because she's infected."
"Okay great, Landon, you spread the powder?" I ask and he nods. Taking out another strange-looking container, I dump more of the powder on the ground in a line from the door to by the wall. "What's that?" Landon asks. "Anaximander Dust. It was favored by the witches of the Roman Empire. It conducts electricity through anything it touches, think of it as chain lightning. All you need is a spark. Lecutio" I say the spell and lighting shoots through the dust, shocking all the students. Getting up I look at Lizzie and Hope. " Let's go get Josie." and we leave.
" Let's go. You drive." Josie says walking to the urn with Penelope. "Not so fast Thelma and Louise," Hope says booking the entrance. "Icaeus" Hope throws Penelope away as she tried to attack her with a spell. "Found the canes guys." I say walking behind Josie. "You shouldn't have done that." Josie says and creates a fireball, almost throwing it at Hope, but Lizzie stops her. "Jo! Don't. This isn't you." Lizzie grabs her hand and siphons the fireball away, also putting her shock bracelet on her without her noticing.
"You don't even know the real me!" Josie yells, "Then answer one question while you're saying how you really feel. Are we good sisters?" I ask. "Are you kidding? You're a terrible sister Lizzie. Lily is eh" and then she screams. Saying that Lizzie shocked her. Literally. Hope steps on the slug. "Lizzie. Lizzie, I'm so sorry." Josie says and we just hug her. I give a smile as a thank you and she smiles back.

"Attention students. Given the incredibly odd and distressing day we've all had, I'm thinking we could all use a little pick-me-up. Like a talent show redo." my dad says over the intercom, everyone around me cheers.
I've got to say, watching Josie sing was great. Bit this year, she's not the only one singing. Walking up, I say, "Hi everyone. Uhuh... Normally wouldn't do this, but watching my sister do it, I figured I'd share my voice too.... So here it is." and the music starts.

When the song ended everyone clapped, "Thanks everyone" I said and walked off stage, only to be bombarded by my sisters. "Wow, that was amazing! Why don't you sing in front of people?!" Josie asked and I shrugged.

After I showered, I walked to Hope's room and leaned on the door frame and knocked on her open door. She saw me through the mirror she was looking in and smiled. "Hi. So I took three showers but I think I'm finally clean." she said turning to face me as I walked in and sat at the foot of her bed. "Three?" I asked and she nodded messing with her wet hair. "Three of them yeah." I laughed and held up four fingers. "It took me four showers. But I'm pretty much spotless now. If I were made of glass I'd shine." the last part made her laugh as she sat next to me.
"I think you'd be more of a geode than glass." I raise my eyebrows playfully "Oh really? How so?" I ask smiling. "Because you look all tough on the outside to others but on the inside, when people get to know you, you're breathtakingly gorgeous." this makes me smile more. "Well, if I'm a geode then you're an emerald." Hope looks at me questioningly "A ruby?" and I nod my head. "One of the rarest in the world. But once you see it, you stop in your tracks and just admire its beauty. And you Hope Mikaelson, are the rarest as they come. Literally, I'm mean you're the only tribrid." and we both laugh.
"Want to have a movie night? We haven't had one in a while." Hope asks and I smile a little. "I would love to but... I already promised I would have a sister night with the twins. Seeing as slug controlled Josie said that Lizzie was a terrible sister and I was an eh sister, Lizzie made me agree before leaving the talent show." I say and Hope nods her head in understanding. I get up, kiss her cheek and walk to her door before turning and saying "Tomorrow though, I will definitely be here for movie night. And it's your turn to pick, I picked last time." And I left after she nodded her head.

"You are late Lillian." Lizzie says as I walk in. "Sorry, I was talking with Hope before I came here." when I say that Lizzie groans. "You're always with Hope when is gonna be our turn with you?" I just gesture around the room and sit down on Lizzie's bed.
"So, any new boy toys dearest sisters?" I ask, getting comfortable. "Not for me, Jo?" Lizzie says looking at her twin. "Nope none for me either. What about you Lily?" and this causes Lizzie to speak up again, And don't lie. You don't think you can get away with singing that song tonight without being questioned do you?" and I just blush lightly and hide my face in a pillow.
"Oh my god, Lizzie she's blushing." Josie says poking me. "Oooo do tell Lillian. Who is this mystery person that has stolen your heart?" Lizzie asks pulling the pillow away. "I will tell you both, if and only if, something happens between us." I reply and they both groan. Eventually, we move on from my love life and onto different things, bouncing from conversation to conversation until we fall asleep.

"Dr. Saltzman this van is very... White of you."Kaleb says. " It's retro" dad replies. Lizzie speaks up too "Its a gas-guzzling atrocity on wheels."
"You know dad, when you said we would be going on a road trip. I didn't think you meant in this thing." I say and Hope pops up from where she was digging in her bag. "I brought snacks." she says handing them to Dorian and Emma who are in the back. "Oh sweet. Did you pack them before or after you decided to FOMO your way onto our trip?" Lizzie asks and I simply take ibuprofen right then to try and stop the headache I know is coming. "Like I'm gonna let you guys chase monsters without me?" Hope says like Lizzie's dumb.
"I would've thought you would want to spend your spring break canoodling with your hipster boyfriend Landon. Or my sister." Lizzie says and I roll my eyes. "Sorry for wanting to protect the outside world from my mistakes. You know there's currently an urn on a river cruise spreading plagues across America because I thought a unicorn was cute. It's called accountability. Maybe there's a bracelet for it." Hope fires back.
"Or maybe you just wanted to ruin another Saltzman-Salvatore spring break." "When have I ever ruined a spring break?" Hope asks Lizzie before my dad interrupts them both, "Girls, we are going to be in this classic automobile for six hours so, not bickering."
Tuning them out, I put in my headphones, Josie did too. The car ride consisted of screaming. Josie hurling because she gets worse motion sickness than I do. Lizzie asking if we're there. My dad singing an awful song. Josie and I playing the ukulele and singing. Me sleeping on Hope's shoulder. Hope sleeping on my shoulder. And snacks.
"Are we there yet?!" Lizzie asks freaking out, and dad stops the car. "Yes!" thank god.
"Girls you take the fountain area, see what you can find out. Lily, no powers." I groan. "Why not?!?! It would make life so much easier." "No powers. Kaleb can't use his either." I just roll my eyes and get out if the car.

Walking back together, I speak first. "Fun fact, this town has the biggest ball of yarn in the country, and one has seen anything out of the ordinary, but a girl did give me her number." I hold a piece of paper with the phone number on it. "Lillian, you go girl. But what happened to mystery crush?" Lizzie asks and I reply "I wasn't flirting. I'm simply attractive. And mystery crush is a maybe. Ish."
"This isn't exactly a hot spot of activity. Our hopes of finding anything are going up in smoke." Lizzie says looking at Hope. "Wait, are you passive-aggressively referring the fire in my dorm room three years ago?" Hope asks crossing her arms. "You mean the one you set on purpose to sabotage our spring break trip with our dad? No Hope, why would I talk about that?!" Lizzie says aggressively. "Dude, you've lost it." Hope comments looking away and Lizzie stands up replying "The only thing we lost was a week of quality family time. Dad had to cancel the trip to deal with the damage. So mission accomplished."
"You guys are just talking about ancient history. Ow! Something stung me." Josie says and lifts her sleeves. "Holy shit. Jo that looks really bad." they go to say something but I interrupt them. "Everybody shut up." "What, Lily that is so ru-" "No seriously shut up." I interrupt Lizzie again. I hear a buzzing noise. Then hornets come flying around. "This is plaguey, right? It seems plaguey" Hope says looking around. Josie is the one to answer, "It's plaguey" and we go into a dessert shop to get away from them.
It's a mummy. "I bet all of you $20 bucks I know what it is." I say turning to them. "Is now really a good time to bet money on what the monster is?" Josie asks and Lizzie and Hope simply pay me. "Why not, it's here anyway might as well make money. So you in? I win I keep your cash, you win you get it back and you each get 20 bucks from me?" I say looking at Josie, who also gives me $20. I smile and say "Its a mummy." "What no way." Lizzie says but she can't think of a monster.
Walking out, Josie, Hope and I walk out and turn one direction, "This way, we need to find your dad." Hope says going ahead of us. "Does this way go past the fire station?" Lizzie shoots at Hope. "Oh my god. We barely just survived a biblical plague. For the last time, I didn't start that fire, and I've never ruined a spring break." "Yeah, Lizzie now not the time." Josie says trying the change the topic. But it doesn't work, Lizzie is hell-bent, "Fifth grade, you callously gave me the flu while we were building our float for witch week. With global warming, I may never see the Florida Keys. That's on you." "We built it with Alyssa Chang who had pneumonia over spring break. It wasn't me, and neither was that fire." Hope defended herself and I looked at Josie's arm.
"Jesus Christ!" I say looking at it. "There's a boil on my boil," Josie says looking at it too. "Pick up the pace Mikaelson, my sister needs medical attention" Lizzie says as we walk around the corner. There are people in hazmat suits making everyone go on buses.

When we get to where they have people quarantined they take everyone's phones, and are checking names. "I don't get it. The people that we talked said they hadn't seen anything, meaning that the first sign of trouble happened after we got here." Hope said quietly so only dad, Emma, and I could hear. "How did these people get here before the bugs?" Emma asks, and dad answers, "I don't know. I don't know who they are, but they are too prepared and well equipped to be responding to some random incident attack."
"You together?" a lady with a clipboard asks. "Yes, uh we just came in from Roanoke to see that big ball of yarn you guys have, this is my wife Emma, and my daughters, from my first marriage Josie, Lizzie, and Lily. Hope is uh..." before he can say something Hope does, "I'm her girlfriend" and she wraps an arm around my waist whilst I rest my head on her shoulder. "Yes, Hope is Lily's girlfriend and Kaleb here is-" "my boyfriend," Josie and Lizzie say at the same time making the lady look at them weirdly. Kaleb laughs and wraps his arms around both of their shoulders before saying "hey, when you're good, you're good you know what I'm saying?"
We go to walk away, and surprisingly, Hope keeps her arm around my waist. Not that I'm complaining. Then we walk past someone we've seen before. That gas guy in Kansas. "You recognized him too right?" I ask Hope quietly, she nods her head, "Yep. From the trip, only you and I remember."
The three of us we're getting water, "Don't look but the guy across from us was outside Seylah's house when we were in Kansas. I said don't look." Hope says to my dad, who looked. "What's he doing here?" I ask and dad answers, "I don't know. Probably same thing we were. There are groups like this scattered across the globe. Probably tracking the same activity we were." "Awful lot of artillery too. Dad, their gear. They're here for the urn." I say looking at their diving gear. "Dorian." Hope says looking at us.

"Hey, who is that guy talking to dad?" Josie asks Hope and I. "This creep we met in Kansas while you guys were in Europe." Hope answers while I listen to the conversation my dad was having. "Why were you guys in Kansas? Oh, wait let me guess, it involved you insinuating yourself in another problem where only you could be the hero." Lizzie says glaring at Hope. "As a matter of fact yeah." Hope replies and I just took my eyes. "I helped too. Just saying." I but in. "Uh, I swear to god, you will do anything to get attention." at this Hope scoffs, "Said the narcissist." "Said the... Other narcissist." Lizzie sassed back.
"Guys, stop arguing." I say but the only one to hear it was Josie, and she's not even arguing. "Okay fine. Maybe I was jealous. Maybe I wanted what you had. A simple day with my family. I lost half my stuff in that fire, including the only painting I made with my dad. Why would I do that to myself?" Hope says and Lizzie goes quiet.
That guy knew who we were, so Hope, my dad and I walked out of the tent to talk to him. "I work for an organization that keeps the monsters that go bump in the night away from public view." he says handing us a card. A triad card. "I thought I recognized you... Jessica and Estrella was it?" "Its Hope actually, and her name is Lily." Hope says with an unamused tone. "I wasn't sure if it was a coincidence, so we searched your van. We know you're Alaric Saltzman. Headmaster of the Salvatore school. We know all about it. You have a terrific reputation." "Leave my school out of it," I say defensively. "Look I applaud your school's mission. Of you do your job right, it makes mine easier."
"So why are we still here?" I ask getting impatient. "Well, I have an entire town that needs to forget what they've witnessed today. You know usually, it's convincing a farmer in Nebraska that he didn't see a chimera, you know or a few ice fishermen in Minnesota that it wasn't a yeti that are their best friend. This is an entire town. It's different. You know I noticed the daylight ring on your daughter's boyfriend..." "Oh he's not their, never mind" dad goes to say but stops. Then Hope asks the question I was wondering, "why not just call it a freak swarm of bugs? Why erase it from memory?" "Because some people might recognize them for what they are. Harbingers." he replied.
"Harbingers of what?" Hope asks again. "Seriously? This is obviously the work of a mummy" and this makes my dad high five himself and I throw my arms in the air "YES! I WON 60 BUCKS! Sorry." I say putting my arms down given the serious situation. "One of our men survived an attack by the river. He's been tracking the mummy ever since, he's still on the outskirts of town but he's getting closer. We're a cleanup organization okay, we're not equipped to go to battle with a mummy. So... Will you help? Cut him off at the pass." "These are just kids." Dad says trying to say no. "Kids with magic, these are a bunch of innocent people without it."
Hope and I say at the same time "We'd be happy to help." Dad just looks at us, before sighing. "I'm gonna need my weapons." "Of course, get what you need, gather your friends, my team with help you with whatever you need."
After he walks away, we turn to my dad and Hope speaks first. "Okay, I know you don't remember out trip to Kansas very clearly, but that field we woke up in is where the portal to Malivore is. It's hidden in plain sight by a company called Triad." and i hold up the guy's card. "Look familiar?" I say showing him the logo.
"So Clarke said the mummy got the urn here. Now if it's like all the other monsters it's main objective is to take the urn back to Malivore. Route 21 cuts through the center of town and cuts all the way to the interstate. But as the crow flies, this is the straightest route. It's coming this way, no questions asked." Dad says showing a map and Emma groans and Hope and I go find my sisters.
"Hey guys, come on we gotta go." I say walking up to them. "Go where?" Josie asks following me, and I smile "To fight a mummy." "Damn it I knew I shouldn't have bet." Josie says making Hope and I laugh.

"Some people find it helps to clear their conscience before heading into battle." Lizzie states as we walk on the road in the middle of town. "I'm not stopping you" Hope fires back. "Now is not the time" Josie tries to get them to stop. "It's always time for the truth. Last chance Hope, if you didn't start that fire to keep us from going then why were you so mean to me after? I'll tell you why, because you were guilty."
"Girls! Quiet back there." My dad yells, but it doesn't work because Hope retaliates "Seriously. I wasn't mean to you. You were mean to me." "Because you were telling people about my episode." Lizzie says quieter. " Your what?" Hope asks confused. "My episode. The one i had when our trip got canceled. You told everyone that I was witch bipolar." "Lizzie I told you she didn't do it." I speak up defending Hope.
"I would never do that." Hope stops and looks at her. "Guys seriously stop. Now is not the time to be having this conversation." Josie interjects but gets shot down. "Just drop the act, I had my first... Occurrence, my mom took me away to get help and you decided to use it against me." Lizzie looks at her. "I didn't even know! I would never do that I swear!" Hope yells and I freeze. "Guys. Guys!" Josie yells finally getting their attention. "What!" they yell simultaneously.
"There's a mummy on main street." I say looking at it. "I think it's time I used that spell I mentioned earlier. Imvisique" and I disappear.
"Damn it, Lily! How did you learn that spell! Lily!" Dad yells and I just laugh. "So what do we like rush it?" Lizzie asks and my dad stands in front of the three of them. "No, that thing is seven feet tall. We hold our ground until it's close enough to attack." "Okay, dad get behind us." Josie says and dad shakes his head. "I can't do that." "Dad." Lizzie says and Hope backs them up "No offense Dr. Saltzman but you and your crossbow are kind of manspreading in front of three powerful witches. And where ever Lily is." "Okay good point." He says and goes behind them. I go walk behind the mummy.
"Okay, what can a mummy do to hurt us?" Josie asks. "I think we're about to find out." Hope says as it walks closer to them and makes hornets fly out of its mouth. "Do we rush it now?" Lizzie asks and Hope shakes her head. "No, not yet." "now?" "no" "I really think we should rush it-" "Wait. On three.... One... Two... " Hope starts coughing, then Lizzie, then Josie, they start coughing up bugs. I make myself visible again. "Ignalusa" I make a fireball and blow, shooting the fire at the mummy, burning it.
They all get up Lizzie shakes her head. "Worst spring break. Ever."

"So the mummy ain't actually dead?" Kaleb asks and we all are either in or by the van. Lizzie and Josie are sitting in the seats and Hope and I are sitting on the floor with the door open.
"Well if my research is correct, the mummy's curse is bound by the scarab in its chest. One's the girls siphon the scarab, the curse will be lifted and the mummy will be dead." Dad says and Kaleb asks another question. "Okay and what if you're wrong?" "He's never wrong." Hope says looking at him. "So what now?" Lizzie speaks up. "Until we get the urn, we wait." dad replies and I sigh. It's been a long day.
"How long do we have to wait? If I have to bug-hurl again, I swear I will never talk to you again." Lizzie comments looking at Hope. "Okay, that one wasn't even remotely my fault." "The beetle slime in my tonsils says otherwise." Lizzie glares at her. "Why can't we just give the mummy the urn? Is opening the portal to Malivore really that bad?" Josie asks and I look at her like she has three heads before saying "Do any of the monsters trapped in there seem, happy and balanced to you?"
"No, I'm with Josie. Why don't we skip bug vomit round two just go and get some pancakes or something" Lizzie says. "Pancakes sound really food right now, to be honest," I comment. I haven't eaten in a while. "Think of it like this, we'll be setting the mummy free from its prison." dad says and Josie makes a sad face "mm poor mummy."
"What the hell how is it alive?" Clarke says and my dad replies "I don't know I thought it was dead." " It's looking for the urn," Hope says as the mummy throws boxes around. "What do we do?" Clarke asks. "I don't know, give him the urn." "Hey, can someone give this thing the urn?" Clarke radios his men. "We can't, the urns gone," His men say. "Who's been in there?" "Only our guys"
"Okay, fun's over." I say and vamp speed to the mummy. "Hey thanks, pall." I say to him and take the scarab, vamp speeding back to my sisters "Hope keep him busy" I say and the three of us start to siphon the magic from the scarab.
"Oh god. Guys hurry. Like hurry hurry." Hope says as the mummy spits bugs at us again. She does a spell, and then we siphon the last of the magic from the scarab. Killing the mummy. We all sigh in relief. "Dibs on keeping the scarab," I say and put it in my bag. "Well agent Clarke, if we do any more work for you you're gonna have to put us on the payroll. I guess we'll be uh, getting out of here." With that, we get in the car.
Pulling over, the lady Kaleb compelled hands him the urn. We go to leave, but an SUV pulls up behind us, they have Dorian and Emma. "Dad? What do we do?" I ask and he sighs. "We make a trade."
After getting them back, we were all pretty quiet in the car. Thinking about different things, Kaleb and Josie were sleeping. Then Hope turned to Lizzie and said "If you really thought that I said all those things then you hating me all these years makes perfect sense. But with a father and a grandfather like mine, I'm probably not immune to those issues myself. I don't take it lightly and I would never make fun of you for it." "I believe you." Lizzie replies before Hope speaks again "What I don't get is why anyone would accuse me of that. Who did you hear it from?" Lizzie just looks at Josie, who woke up hearing the conversation. She just looks away from the three of us.

"Why would you drive a wedge between me and Hope?" Lizzie asks Josie getting ready for bed, and I finish her thought "Why lie?" I say walking in. "I was gonna ask the same thing." I turn around, and Hope is by the door, wanting answers as much as the rest of us. Josie sighed before looking at Hope and I.
"I didn't just lie. I started the fire..... Lizzie had made some remark about me being obsessed with you. I just blurted out 'how could I be obsessed with someone who would say such mean things about my twin." "But I didn't." Hope said shaking her head. "I know. I just made it up." "Why?" I speak up and ask.
"Because I didn't want Lizzie or Lily to know the truth. I had a crush on you. And I had slipped a note into your room that morning... I don't know I just immediately regretted it but I couldn't get in by then. So I did a fire spell under your door. I was really only aiming for the note." Josie said looking at Hope until Lizzie asked the question I wanted an answer to. "Why would it matter that we knew?" "Because anytime that I've ever liked anybody, you go for them. And you always win. And Lily was best friends with you Hope, and deep down, I knew something would happen between you two. So I didn't say anything." Josie said looking at Lizzie, then me.
"You had a crush on me?" Hope asked with her head tilted. "Of course I did. Who wouldn't." and Hope smiled lightly.

After Josie came clean about everything, I went to my room to grab something before walking Hope's room. Knocking on the door, I hide what I grabbed beside the door. "Hey Lil, it's kind of late what's up?" Hope asks opening the door and letting me in. "Well, I brought you a present." I say and grab the canvas that's wrapped in brown paper. Hope lets me in and we sit on her bed. "You didn't have to do that." She says and I just shake my head.
"I was planning on giving this to you on your birthday, but seeing as we talked about it today, I decided now is a better time." I say and hand her the wrapped painting. When she unwraps it, she puts her hand to her mouth in shock before looking at me. "Is this..... The painting I made with my dad?" she asks slowly and I nod. She lets tears fall as she asks the next question she has "H-how? It was destroyed in the fire."
"Well, not all of my was burned. So when you thought I threw a burned wood from the canvas away, I kept it. It took a few years and a lot of failures, but I made a spell that fixed it with the painting still intact. I fixed it a few months ago and was waiting for your birthday." I say and Hope just hugs me. "Thank you." I smile and hug her back, "always "
After she hangs it up, she comes and sits where she was previously sitting. "So we never really talked about what happened when we were slugged. I was happy. Like really happy." She says and I nod "So was I." "But... I couldn't help but notice the lyrics to the song you sang at the talent show. And you can fool everyone else, but I know when you sing something, it's based on how you feel. So who is your war of hearts about?" Hope asks getting slightly closer before speaking again, "I also couldn't help but notice what we were about to do in Ms. Featherwood's class before she interrupted us." and at this point, we were both leaning in.
Hope put a hand on the back of my neck gently and leaned in the rest of the way, connecting our lips in a soft, sweet kiss. It only lasted a few seconds before she pulled away, and when I opened my eyes we were both smiling and she whispered "I've wanted to do that for a while" which made me giggle.
Then I pulled her back to me, reconnecting our lips. This kiss got a little more intense, as it turned into a full-on make out. Hope pushed me back so I was laying on the bed and she was straddling me. Getting brave, I but her bottom lip and tugged on it gently making her gasp and I took the opportunity to slide my tongue in her mouth making her do the same.
After a few minutes, we decided to stop and just cuddle. Our legs were tangled together, and Hope had an arm around my waist with her head on my chest. I was playing with her hair. "Do you want to go on a date with me?" I asked and she looked up at me and smiled before responding, "I would love to" and she gave me a small peck on the lips before going to her original spot on my chest. And that's how we fell asleep, in each other's arms smiling like idiots.
(A/N)- Hope and Lily had their first kiss!!!! Yay! I've been planning that scene for a few days so I was happy it finally came. As per usual, I'll edit the typos later if you see one and want it fixed fast comment the paragraph and I'll fix it. ð
Also, what did you guys think of the song? I wanted to do that song for the kiss scene conversation and Ocean Eyes for the talent show but I couldn't figure out how to add two so I just used that one. -ð
