Third Person POV~
The day after the Miss Mystic Pageant, Lily had been distant from everyone. She didn't speak to anyone, and skipped all her classes. No one could find her. Hope had thought that she was in her secret room, but when she went to look, she wasn't there.
Getting concerned it was something she did, Hope went to the one person who might have an answer and would be willing to help. Lizzie.
Knocking on the door, Lizzie opened it somewhat annoyed. "What Hope? I'm busy trying to figure out a way to make Josie not mad at me. Shouldn't you be with my Lily?" Lizzie asks letting Hope in. "That's what I wanted to talk about actually, she was with me last night, and everything seemed fine. But today she didn't say anything to me before she left and I can't find her. She's been distant these past few days but, not like this." "And you think you're losing her?" Lizzie asks and Hope nods slowly.
Lizzie sighs, and gets up, putting her hands on Hope's shoulders whilst saying "Hope, I'm sure my sister is fine. You two have been secretly pining over each other for years, so she's definitely not going to break up with you. But if you're that worried, let's make a deal, I'll help you get Lily back and you help me get Josie back. Deal?" Lizzie asks holding out her pinky finger. Hope agrees.

After Hope tells Emma and Alaric that Landon's voice mail means something isn't right, she goes to help Lizzie in the kitchen. "Was there a monster attack in here?" Hope asks seeing flour everywhere. "Very funny. I got tired of waiting on you so I attempted to make a banana cream pie by myself." Lizzie says, taking off an apron. "Okay, so where is it?" "In the trash. I said attempted. So status update, did you find my sister?"
Hope groans, "No. She's not in her room, the library, the old mill, she's not even in her secret room she has that she goes to when she wants to be alone. I guess it's a good thing because I don't even know what I'd say to her when I find her." Lizzie's eyebrows shoot up with an idea. "So practice. Emma has this prism that simulates a conversation. She makes me use it to talk to my parents when I'm in a state. I'll trade you, one prism, for one banana cream pie." Hope thinks about it before grabbing the apron from Lizzie. "You know, you're lucky I pay attention to what Lily does when she bakes." Hope comments and Lizzie raises an eyebrow "Hm only someone who likes the other would pay that much attention to what they were doing Mikaelson. You might have fallen harder than you thought." Lizzie replies and leaves the room.

While that was happening at the Salvatore School, in town, Lily was at Elena's doctor's office.
When Elena walked into the patient's room, she looked up from another patient's chart, being surprised to see her niece on the bed in the room. "Lily? What are you doing here?" She asks and Lily sits up, crossing her legs and looking down before replying. "I need help Aunt Elena." she looks up to her aunt with tears brimming her eyes. "I uh- I almost died last week. Well, I did die, my heart stopped but Hope did CPR or something and it brought me back. I got bit by a werewolf, and being half-witch, the venom messed with my powers. I astral projected. It's a rare gift people in the Gemini coven can get. But who I met, was a monster." Elena comes and sits next to her niece, she was worried so she texted Damon, who was on his way.
"I'm here because my nightmares are getting worse. I'm having trouble sleeping and the medicine I have doesn't work." Lily says and Elena nods, writing down a different medication order. "I'll these in, they should help. Damon is on his way too. I'll be right back." Elena says getting up to put in the medication request with the pharmacy.
Before Elena gets back, Damon walks into the room Lily is in. "Hey, munchkin. Elena told me about the nightmares. And the werewolf biting you. So who do I need to kill? I might be human now but that doesn't mean I can't still kick werewolf ass." this makes Lily laugh. "Don't worry, I'll kick his ass myself. There is something that I wanted to ask you. But not here." Lily says and Damon nods. "Alright, let's go get some food at the grill. My treat." he replies and they leave.

"So little star, what's on your mind. Boys? Girls? Maybe a certain Mikaelson you escorted at the Miss Mystic Pageant?" At this, Lily almost spits her drink out. "How did you hear about Hope and I?" she asks looking shocked. Damon shrugs "Small town, people talk about the pageant winner and their dates. When were you gonna tell me about you and Klaus's evil spawn?" Lily rolls her eyes. "She's not like her dad Uncle Damon. And seeing as you hate her family, I was thinking never. But since you know, before you judge her without meeting her, Hope is an amazing person and I'd love it if my favorite Uncle would give her a chance. She'll surprise you." when Lily says this, Damon sighs and nods lightly. "Okay."
Lily does a small happy dance before getting serious again. "Now that, that is out of the way. That wasn't what I wanted to talk to you about. Who is Kai Parker?" When Damon hears this name come out of Lily's mouth he freezes.
"Where did you hear that name?" Damon asks angrily. "When I astral projected, it was to where ever you all had Aunt Bonnie lock him up. I know that you know who he is. Alaric does too but he won't tell me-" "Well I'm not telling you either. So drop it, Lillian. He's locked up. I want to make sure he stays that way. I have to go." Just like that, Damon leaves.

After getting the prism from Lizzie and giving Lizzie a book on the Gemini coven Alaric keeps locked in his office, Hope went to the docks.
After setting the prism down, a hologram of Lily appears. "Hey. You good Hope? You look a little wigged out right now." Lily asks and Hope shakes her head, "Yeah, I'm good, I've just never talked to a magical hologram before."
After Hope said that the fake Lily freaks out "Hologram? What do you mean like I'm not real? L-like I'm not me? What's going on? God this is like some weird sci-fi movie thing" Hope starts freaking out too "Oh my god-" then Lily starts laughing. "Relax. I'm kidding. But you should really see your face. It was super funny."
"God, don't do that!" Hope yells but starts to laugh too. "So, what did you want to talk to me about Hope?" Lily asks sitting down. "Well, at least I know that hologram you is accurate. Movie references and all." "Yeah well guess you can thank yourself." Lily claims waiting for Hope to talk about what's bothering her.
"Okay, um, you've been distant for a few days. You've been here, but your mind tends to be elsewhere. And you won't talk to me. You won't talk to anyone about it. That's really unlike you, you usually tell your sisters and I everything. What's up?" Hope says looking at Lily. "That's not the real question you wanted to ask." Lily says looking at Hope. "What? Yes, it is." "No, it's not." "How do you know?" "Because Hope. I am you. Remember? So ask me your real question." Lily says with a serious face.
"That was the real question." Hope replies getting a bit annoyed. "No, it's not. If you can't be honest with the fake Lily how do you expect her to be honest with you?" And then the hologram disappears.

Lily's POV~
"DAMN IT!" I scream once I get back to school. I sped into the secret room I go to. I had found a few books that talked about astral projecting, and how to control it. It's not something you say, it's something you just do, it comes naturally, like breathing. All I have to do it focus. Closing my eyes, I focus on where I want my body to be.
Opening them, I'm back at that bar I was in when I first met Kai. I walk out and go to that house I remember going in. Since I can't touch anything, I just go through the door. "Oh great. You're back." I turn to the voice and see him leaning in a door frame that leads to the kitchen. "Seems like you got the who astral projecting thing under control." he says gesturing to me. "Yeah, thanks for telling me how to pull myself out of it by the way. My heart stopped because of it." I say glaring at him.
"Woopsie, my bad. Now I take it you're here for a reason. What do you want blondie?" he asks looking at his nails. "I want to know who you are. No one will tell me." I say crossing my arms. "Oh, but wouldn't you like to learn about what happens to your sisters when they turn 22 more?" this spikes my interest. "What happens?" I ask and he shakes his head and puts his finger up.
"ah ah ah. You have to pick. Figure out who I am, or find out what happens to your sisters. Your choice. I need an answer in 5 seconds." "That's not fair!" "5...4...3...2...-" "Okay! Okay! Ugh... Tell me hat happens to my sisters." I say and he smirks. "You ever heard of something called the merge?"

Coming back to my body, I got up and sped to my dad's office. Barging in I yell "How could you not tell us about the merge! 16 years! You've had 16 years to tell us! How could you not tell me, that in 6 years I'm going to lose one of my sisters!" he looks shocked. And I notice Hope giving him the same look I'm giving him. Only I'm crying. "How-how did you find out?" He asks.
I just look at him. "And you're not even denying it. I uh, I figured how to control my astral projection. Kai Parker gave me an ultimatum. Find out who he is, or find out what happens to my sisters when they turn 22. So you're going to go in there, and you're going to tell them. Or I will." and then I walk out.

I needed some air. So I went to the docks and just sat there. Looking at the water. It was quiet, until I hear a familiar heartbeat. And Hope sat down next to me.
"I uh, I practiced what I was going to say to you. Practiced how to ask you why you've been distant. But that really wasn't the question I wanted to ask. And when I saw you laying on the ground in the woods, and you died in my arms, I thought I had lost you, like I lost everyone else. I hate it when people leave. I hate it. And I thought I was over my parent's deaths but I guess I wasn't. Every time I lose someone there's uh this voice that tells me 'it's your fault' that I'm not even supposed to exist. That I'm a cosmic mistake. And I thought... That I was losing you again. You know you're being super distant, more distant than any other time since we've been friends. I thought that maybe, maybe you regretted asking me to be your girlfriend. Regretted being with m-" I stop her, I just lean in and kiss her.
Pulling away, I look into her eyes. "I'm not going anywhere. Like it or not Hope, you're stuck with me for life." I say and she smiles. "I uh, I was distant because I was scared. Not of you, in fact, I feel the safest when I'm with you. But of who I met when I astral projected that night in the woods. Kai Parker. In uh, in order for him to help me search booms to try and find a way out of wherever he's trapped I had to tell him about my girlfriend. What you were, who your parents were. Naturally, right when I said your last name he knew who your father was. Then I told him what he wanted to know. That you were a tribrid. Which in the end turned out to be a bad idea. He uh, he said that when he gets out he's going to find me and see if he can make another tribrid. And I've been having nightmares, visions, of bad things, happening. I can't remember what, they were just flashes." At the end, I sigh and just rest my head on her shoulder. And we just sat there for a while.
"You know you're not a mistake right?" I ask Hope and she looks at me. "And if you are then we can just be mistakes together because I was never supposed to be born either. If you still think that you're a mistake, then you're the best mistake ever created." Hope smiles and whispers something that she probably didn't want me to hear. "I love you." When she says that her eyes go wide. I laugh "You didn't mean to say that did you?" and she shakes her head blushing. "Well, even if you didn't mean to say it, you thought it. And I love you too Hope Mikaelson." before she can react I pull her into a kiss.

"I hear, heels on a tile floor. Keycards being swiped." "An ac running." I interrupt Roman. We were listening to the voice mail Landon left. Something wasn't right about it and we all knew it. "Triad has him." Hope says and I nod agreeing with her.
"Do you need me to go with you guys?" Roman asks as we go to leave my dad's office. Hope answers him, "No, we've got our own super squad."

The next morning, Jed, Kaleb, Josie and I meet up with Hope and Lizzie. "She's coming?" both my sisters say at the same time. "Look I need all the help I can get so please put your twin war on pause." Hope says. "Why is Jed going? He doesn't even like Landon." Raf asks and Jed replies "your the alpha, if Landon is your pack that makes him ours." "Wheres MG?" Kaleb says looking around. "He'll be here, let's load up while we wait." I comment and we walk out of the school.
"Oh sorry. We were about to knock." a guy in body armor says. "Who the hell are you?" Lizzie and I ask at the same time. "Names Burr. Triad industries. Hope says a spell, but it doesn't work. Kaleb says "I got this" and runs at them but gets burned by the sun. "What you don't got is magic. Which is why your daylight ring ain't working. And what we have are stakes, wolfsbane... And other things. So I think you should invite us inside." Burr says making us all look to one another. What they don't know, is that I don't need a daylight ring. They don't know I'm part vampire. But there's too many to take on by myself.
"We are looking for an artifact known as the Chalice of Arimathea. We have reason to believe it's part of your school's collection." Burr states as the train people pass out pictures of the chalice. "Now you know this place a lot better than we do so the sooner you help us find it, the sooner we'll be gone. Triad thanks you for your time." The twins, Hope and I all look at each other. After we're released to look for the chalice that I know we don't have, we go to my dad's office to call him.
Walking in, Hope goes to the phone and Lizzie closes the door. "Ugh, it's dead. We have to find the school cell." she says and we start looking around. "why don't you check MG's tidy whites." Lizzie says and Josie says what we're all thinking. "Really? This is serious." "Oh, I'm sorry. We can't all be born with resting concerned pouting face" When Lizzie said that Josie gasped. "Guys! Put a pause on your stupid town war and look for the damn phone!" I say to them as I check another drawer.
"Didn't this shelf used to have books on it?" Hope asks and grabs a red box. "Yeah, that's weird. This must have been hidden by a cloaking spell." I reply as she places it on the desk. "Big shocker. Dads hiding something from us." Lizzie fires and she shakes it to try and hear what's inside. "That doesn't matter right now unless it has the phone inside." I say and go to a different shelf.
"Sorry I don't feel like laughing while my worlds falling apart." Josie comments looking at Lizzie. "Your world? What about my world. I'm the one who's gonna eventually be absorbed by my own twin." "If you lose the merge." "Which is obviously going to happen. I'm the weak broken one." "And like clockwork, victim" Josie crosses her arms.
"Tweedle-dee, tweedle-dumb, zip it!" I yell at them. "hey, guys. Found it." Hope says holding the phone up. We call dad. Hope puts the phone to her ear so I use my vamp hearing. "Well, whoever this is gets extra credit." "Its Hope. Triad's here." "Is everyone okay?" "Yeah, but our powers are gone." "what do they want?" "They said the third artifact is in the school somewhere. The Chalice of arithmetic or something. I don't know, any idea?" "We don't have the Chalice of Arimathea, do we?" I hear dad ask, "I'd have to check the old armory records but, not my knowledge." Dorian answers. "Alright listen, I've got to find my way into the school, for now just don't do anything crazy." "We're not the only ones in danger, Landon is too I can't just stand here and do nothing." "God Hope, for once in your life, will you please just listen to me? If traid wants the chalice, help them get the chalice. You don't have your powers. You're vulnerable, and if you try to resist, some can get hurt. Do you understand me?" "Yeah" she answers and hangs up.
"So what do we do now?" Lizzie asks standing up from where she was leaning on the desk. "Now... We figure out a way to get our powers back and we kick some paramilitary ass." Hope replies and Josie states the obvious, "But dad told us not to do anything crazy." "Hope and I not listening to dad isn't crazy. It's consistent. Plus we have me-" I go to finish my sentence but get interrupted.
"Well, at least we know where you stand." Burr says opening the office doors. I look to Hope and she shakes her head, telling me not to use my powers yet. "You're damn right we do." "You're not very scared of me, are you? How about now?" He asks pulling out a gun. I laugh, "That's your plan? You're gonna shoot a kid?" I say crossing my arms.
"This gun would never harm a human child. You four, however." He pauses and starts losing the gun, I glance to my sister and Hope, they still shake their heads no. "These bullets were made out of the Malivore pit. And weaponized by Triad's scientists. They can break the skin of any supernatural like a hot knife through butter. Fester, infect them. Disintegrate them, from the inside out." He cocks the gun.
"We don't know where the chalice is." Josie claims and he nods his head. "I believe you. This is just for fun, really." He raises the gun. "Eeny... Meeny... Minny..." he moves the gun between us and Lizzie steps forward "Mo!" he fires twice. But I run in front of Lizzie and Josie, who tried to protect Lizzie. Hope throws her arm out to block the bullets too. But one me under my collar bone, close to my heart and fall to the ground.
"Oh, so she's a vampire? Where's your daylight ring? Or are you one of them two hybrids they got here? Lock 'em up." Burr says and four triad guys grab us and throw us in the basement cell.
"What the hell is wrong with you?" Lizzie asks. "Me? You basically asked him to shoot you!" I say looking at her. "If I'm destined to die it might as well be in a blaze of hero glory." I roll my eyes and stand up. "Well excuse me for saving both of my sisters who literally brought me to life. Just returning the favor." I say and go stand next to Hope, who walks away as a triad guy walks up.
"Hey! Keep it quiet in there" "We're not in the prison yard, asshat!" Lizzie yells, and he walks away. I try to walk back to my sisters but I got dizzy and almost fell, Hope caught me and set me down on the bed next to Josie.
"You guys I'm so sorry. I mean I dragged all three of you into this and I have no idea who to get us out of it." Hope says grabbing my hand. Lizzie shakes her head. "Well, that is just not good enough Hope. My sister, your girlfriend, is clearly dying. Josie and I did not wait ten years to become friends with you for you to not come through with your annoyingly perfect Hope Mikaelson heroics when we need you the most." Lizzie grabs Hope's other hand. "Shes right for a change. It's hero time Hope." Josie says looking at her.
The guy comes back and yells again, "I said keep it down in there!" but to his dismay, he forgot that I'm a hybrid, he stood to close to the bars. I vamp sped over and grabbed him by the neck and squeezed, hearing a cracking sound as his neck breaks, I drop him and search his pockets for keys. MG comes in the room and searches him too, finding the keys. "Did someone say hero time?" He says and unlocks the cell.

"A blood fountain? Gross." " It's even grosser in person trust me. I tried finding a way to shut it off but, I couldn't figure out how." MG says and Hope nods. "Alright, I'll go find the secret tunnel I guess." Hope says and MG replies "Thanks. We get our magic back we'll have the upper hand." "And we can siphon the sludge out of Lily." Josie and Lizzie say at the same time.
"Great, then I'll just be shot. Super fun times guys. High School really is the best years of our lives." I say and they all shake their heads trying not to smile. "You sure are snarky when you're dying." Lizzie states and I just shrug.
"Okay, I'll be back as soon as I can figure out how to shut this thing off." Hope says and I get up and go over to her. "No, you won't. You, my love, are going to rescue Landon." "But I can't just leave you guys here. Especially with my girlfriend hurt and dying." Hope replies, holding me by the waist so I won't fall. "For the love of Frodo. Go rescue the little hobbit." Lizzie says and I smile. I made her watch that movie.
Hope looks torn, so I grab her face, making her look at me. "Hey, I'll be fine okay? Go get Landon. I'll see you when you get back. I love you." I say and she nods, "I love you too." We kiss, but it doesn't last long because Lizzie coughs, reminding us that there are others in the room. Hope hands me to MG, who wraps an arm around my waist, and she kisses my forehead. "I'll see you soon." With that, she walks out.
MG hands me to Lizzie and Josie. "Y'all need to stay out of sight until we get our mojo back. I'll go rally the troops." "MG, wait. I have an idea. Take this, you know what to do with it." Josie says and she hands him the talisman Hope gave her for our birthday. Putting it on, he leaves.

Third Person POV~
Hope is looking at the blood fountain. "Don't suppose you come with an instruction manual." Right after she says that, a person walks in. Turning to them, it's Alaric. "I told you to wait for me." Hope rolled her eyes, "In a shocking turn of events, I ignored you." "Yeah Hope about that..." she turns to him, "Save the speech. I've paid the price." she almost yelled thinking about how Lily is hurt.
"Yeah, I see that. What happened to your arm?" Alaric asks lifting Hope's arm to see a malivore bullet hole in her jacket sleeve. "That Triad guy shot at us with Malivore mud. He must have gotten me too, I-I didn't even feel it. Because it doesn't affect me." She replies looking at her arm. "Wait who else got shot?" Alaric asks, reading into Hope's words. She just looks at him with a few tears in her eyes.
"Dr. Saltzman, you have to trust me... Lily's going to be fine-" "Lily got shot?!" "Yes but MG, Lizzie, and Josie are already on it. And I think that they can fix everything if I can just figure out how to turn this stupid thing off and get our magic back!" Hope yells getting angry at herself for what happened to her girlfriend.
Alaric does something the fountain and it turns off. "Which apparently is super easy. H-how did you know how to do that?" She says looking at him. "This is a dark object created by a group of extinct witch-like people called the travelers. Anti-magic was kind of their thing." Alaric explains and Hope asks a question Alaric wished she hadn't. "How did Triad even get it in here? How did they know about the hidden tunnels?" "Listen, I will explain everything to you later but right now I have to get to Lily." He says and starts to run to the stairs.
"Wait... Give her a vial of my blood. From the werewolf bite cures." Hope says looking at him. "Why?" "I'll explain later too." she said and walks away.

Lizzie and Josie were trying to siphon the magic from the bullet wound on Lily. "Ugh, it's not working! Why isn't it working!" Lizzie yells. "Maybe it can't be siphoned." Lily says and both Lizzie and Josie start to cry, making Lily cry too. "But then you'll die." Josie says, her voice breaking. "Then I'll be with my dad." Lily says smiling a little.
"It wasn't supposed to be like this. I'm the broken one Lily." Lizzie says crying more. "Then think about the amazing outfits you'll both wear to my funeral." Lily jokes, and they all frown.
"I know I don't always show it. But I love you guys. So much. I wouldn't take a bullet for just anyone." Lily says and they laugh at the last sentence. "This isn't fair. You were the only one out of the three of us that was guaranteed to live past 22." Lizzie says and they all cry more. "Now help me up. MG needs us. Blaze of glory right?" Lily states and they nod.

When they notice the magic is back, MG turns to Rafael. "Aye man you sure you're up for this?" "Yeah. What's the blind for?" Raf motions to Josie's necklace the MG has. "Making quiet things heard. SALVATORE STALLIONS! LETS RIDE!" He says and everyone attacks. Upper-class students throw around the wickery ball, using it to hit triad men and knock them out.
"So you think you're a superhero or something?" Burr asks MG walking up the stairs to him. "Honestly, kind of." MG replies, but burr doesn't get a chance to say something back, someone from behind breaks his neck. Once he falls, MG sees and very ill-looking Lily. "I'm not. Personally, I think the villains have more fun." She says and MG grabs her before she could fall. Speeding over to them took most of her energy.
"Here Lil, sit." Lizzie puts her on a table. "Lil you don't look too good." Rafael says looking at her. "We gotta go after Burr's men." MG says and Rafael pulls out a necklace. "Don't worry I got that covered. I got magical Hope bling too. If Josie and Lizzie can help me with a veiling spell... They'll never see me coming."

After the twins did the spell for Raf, they took Lily to their room. They were all laying on Lizzie's bed crying, it was hard for Lily to breathe, when Alaric came in. "Daddy this is so bad." Lizzie said sitting up letting more tears fall. "Lily, here, drink this." Alaric said running to his daughters, and opening the vial of Hope's blood.
After Lily started to heal, a few hours passed. She was in the twins' room. "Hope better get back soon. Or else Raf's gonna be in the dog house. Literally." Lizzie says as she brushes Lily's hair. "Yeah don't tell dad or else we'll be in there too. But, I busted the lock on this when we were fighting." Josie says and pulls out the red box that was hidden in Alaric's office. "I remember this. I'm not sure how." Lily says and they all nod. "Me too. But how? What is it?" Lizzie asks and Josie shrugs. "I remember it too. But I remember seeing it in all the merge research I've been doing." Just then there's a knock. They quickly put the object back in the box and hide it as Alaric walks in. "Girls there's something I need to tell you."
"I have failed you. You see my purpose in founding this school was to create a safe space for my daughters, and for supernaturals like them. But today, I fell short of that goal, while all of you exceeded every expectation I have had ever set for you. Because today you were confronted by the worst monster you've faced yet: ignorant human beings." Alaric paused in his speech to the school. "Sadly, I am one of them. The plans and methods that Triad used to infiltrate our school and endanger your lives were mine." This made the three sisters' eyes to widen. "A contingency plan that I had developed and shared with concerned parents over the years. Including Veronica Greasley. But... Her betrayal would not have been possible without my own. You see the dark object that she used to disarm your unique abilities was put in place by me. In a hidden tunnel, only I knew about. Because I thought one day that it was the world that would need protection from your gifts, rather than the other way around. The only way I can atone for this breach of trust is to leave you to decide whether I should remain your headmaster. The honor council will convene, they will vote, and I will respect whatever decision that they make. Whichever way this goes, I want to thank you, all of you, for making me understand that the world that my daughters inherit will be in better hands."
After his speech, Lily went to his office. "Daddy?" he turns to her, "Yes sweetheart?" "Is Hope back yet? She left hours ago and she hasn't called or anything." Lily says.

"Okay, hear me out. You can hear me right? Uh-ah! You're being used! And I know what that feels like. Ah!" Landon screams as the headless horseman hits him in the eye with his spine whip. "How do you even do that without your seeing-eye horse?! Or is more of an emotional support horse!" Landon says ducking under the whip.
"No, please. No no no!" Landon yells as the headless horseman throws the third artifact into Malivore. But before it goes in, it stops, and flies into Hope's hand. "Hope." Landon says looking at her and she smiles. "I knew you'd find me." "I just followed the trails you left in your voice mail. You're great at riddles, we should probably add fight training to your course work thought. And be thankful, I left an almost dying girlfriend to come save your ass. And you can thank her for that." "Yeah, I'll be sure to do those things." Landon says as the headless horseman goes to fight Hope. "Feel free to take notes." She says and they start fighting.
"He won't die. You know sci-fi stuff how do I kill him?" Hope asks Landon after she throws the horseman away form her. "eh, headless horseman is more fantasy" "Get to the helpful part!" Hope yells aggravated. "In the Tim Burton movie, they defeated him by giving him a bride." Landon says and the horseman wraps his whip around Hope's ankle, knocking her down. "Yeah, thanks but when I get married, it's not gonna be to him." Hope replies and does a spell that sends the horseman flying back.
"In-in the OG cartoon, he had a pumpkin head that he would keep with his horse? Correction, it's under his cape. Kill the head, the body dies. That science faction!" Landon points the bag with the head in it under the horseman's cape.
"Great, one head coming up," Hope says as she catches the whip. She kicks him and the head rolls down the stairs to Landon. "Oh god, why is it moist?" He says picking it up. "Uh, gimme, gimme" Hope motions for him to throw it to her. She breaks a piece of a pole and when Landon throws the head she stabs it. The body drops. "Suck on that Tim Burton." Landon says and goes up the stairs to hug Hope. "Thanks for coming. And I'll thank Lily when we get back too. And I know that it looked I was losing when you got here but that's just how Phoenix combat looks." Landon says, but before Hope could reply someone speaks.
"Nothing like young love is there. Such a shame it has to be so short lived. You'll find, baby brother, one of our family's worst traits is... Well, we're terribly clumsy." Clarke says and he throws the last key into the pit. "Arent you gonna clap or something? That was a total power move." Clarke says and Landon takes the horseman's whip and breaks Clarke's neck. "Damn Phoenix combats no joke." Hope days and Landon begins to pace.
"Okay we gotta think, how do we keep him from rising?" Landon speaks really fast. "What do you mean him?" "Ooo we have a lot to catch up on."
"So Malivore's your dad?" Hope asks and Landon nods "Yeah and he can't be killed." "Magic doesn't work like that. Everything can be killed, there's always a loophole." Hope pauses in realization. "Any brilliant ideas because I think we're running out of time." Landon asks turning to Hope.
"Just one. And you're gonna hate it." Hope whispers. She hugs him tight. "I didn't hate that at all." "Not that. This..." Hope says and she breaks his neck. Grabbing the school phone she calls Alaric.

The phone starts ringing, "I think that's Hope now." Alaric tells Lily and he puts the phone to his ear. "Hope, did you find Landon?" Alaric asks. "Yeah." "Okay well, where are you?" "Fort Valley Georgia. Landon's gonna need you when I'm done you have to write it down." "Wait you're at Triad headquarters?" "Yeah. Don't worry though everyone here is dead." "Okay wait a minute, you're not making any sense just put Landon on the phone." "Can't do that. Uh, he would've tried to stop me so I had to kill him too." "What?" "He'll come back, don't worry. Even if I don't." "Hope, tell me what the hell you're about to do right now before you do it." "Clarke won. He found the final artifact, and he tossed it into the pit, which is Landon's father by the way. And now Malivore is going to rise unless I stop him." "Stop him how?"
"Landon got all the answers but basically, Malivore was created by a werewolf, a witch, and a vampire. It used to be that only they could destroy what they created, but nature found a loophole. By making me. The tribrid. I'm the loophole." Once Hope said this Lily tried to take the phone but Alaric stopped her. "Hope you listen to me, this is a theory, now you just sit tight and wait for Lily and I to come get you." he says through the phone. "There's no time. I mean I always thought that I was just a cosmic mistake, someone, that should never have been born. But after all this time, I mean, my purpose is finally clear. I mean think about it, I'm the only one that can remember stuff about Malivore when no one else can. The malivore weapon didn't hurt me. Did my blood heal Lily?"
"I am not okay with this." Alaric says and Lily tries to grab the phone again, but she's still weak so her powers aren't working, making her attempts unsuccessful. And Alaric moves Lily out if the room and shuts the door. "Dad!" she yells but he locks it and walks away form the door so Hope won't hear the banging.
"I know you aren't. But you will be because no one at the school will remember me. I've spent years torturing mysel, asking myself why my father sacrificed himself for me. To get to the point where, I totally understand it. And I don't want you to go through that pain Dr. Saltzman, you've been through enough. And I don't want anyone at school to miss because they're my friends. Maybe I would've seen that sooner if I hadn't been beating myself up all this time. This is the part where you tell me even though you wish you could change my mind you know I'm doing the right thing... This is the part you tell me you're proud of me."
"You know I'm proud of you Hope. You know it. What is it you need me to do?" "Call maintenance. Have them pack up my room. Takes my files, all those notes that I know you keep about me, and burn them." "Listen if you want to erase yourself that's on you but you can't ask me to do it too." "I gotta go"
As soon as Hope says that Lily brakes open the door. "Hope! Wait! Stop please don't do this." Lily screams taking the phone. "Lily, I can't. It's the only way." at this point they're both crying. "Hope don't!" Lily yells "Hope I will remember you! We talked about me not leaving you well you can't leave me either." Lily say and she starts sobbing. "I'm so sorry Lily. I love you so much. I wish I realized that sooner. But I have to go." "Hope, stop! I love you please don't do this! We can find another way!" "I'm sorry. Dr. Saltzman do what I asked. Lily, I'm so sorry. I love you." And with that Hope hangs up. And Lily breaks.
(A/N)- oh my god. I shed a tear writing that, I think it was sadder than the actual ending of that episode.
I will obviously be going a tad bit off the episodes when we break into season two for obvious reasons, we only get one episode a week, so I'll improvise some of it ð¤·ââï¸ð¼
Take a guess on what's gonna happen next. I have a general idea for the first and second chapter but I'd like to hear ideas to bounce off of.
