As I stepped into the room, my entire body froze at the sight before me. There he was—a man holding Advika in a tight embrace, and she stood there, emotionless as always. My chest tightened, and anger surged within me, boiling hotter than anything I’d ever felt.

Before I could process the scene, the man’s next words hit me like a punch to the gut: "I know your husband can never satisfy you the way I used to, right?"

I roared, my voice echoing in the room, "What the hell is happening here?!"

Everyone turned to face me—my family, Advika, and that man. And for the first time, she looked at me with an emotion I hadn’t seen before: hurt. Why was she hurt? What did I do to deserve that look from her?

My voice dropped, but the fury didn't leave my tone. "What's going on?" I asked, my gaze fixed on her, demanding answers.

The man smirked as he swaggered toward me. "Oh, so you’re the great Vidyut," he sneered. "The man who forced my Advika to marry him. Don’t worry, I’m here now, to take her away from you—to where she truly belongs, safe and happy."

My fists clenched so tightly that my knuckles turned white, and the room seemed to close in on me. I looked at Advika, hoping—praying—for her to say something, anything, to deny his words. But she remained silent.

It was then that my mother, standing nearby, spoke in a voice filled with concern. "Beta, see what he's saying. He claims to be her lover and even gave us these pictures."

I snatched the photographs from my mother’s trembling hands, and my eyes widened as I saw them—Advika in that man's arms, hugging him, kissing him. My vision blurred with rage, but beneath all that fury, I felt something else—something that tore at my very soul. Pain.

I couldn’t believe what I was seeing. This had to be a lie—it had to be. I trusted Advika. I knew she could never do something like this. But I had to know the truth.

I approached her, my voice a low growl. "Advika, what is this?"

She looked at me, her eyes steady, and asked, "Do you believe this?"

For a moment, I wanted to scream 'no,' to tell her I didn't believe any of it. But then, doubts crept in, and I knew I had to force her to speak the truth, even if it meant saying something I might regret. I gritted my teeth and asked, "Did you really have an affair behind my back when I wasn’t there?"

Gasps echoed around the room, and I saw the hurt and anger flash through her eyes. But then, just as quickly, she wiped it all away, her expression turning cold and emotionless. She let out a bitter chuckle, one that cut through me like a knife.

"You are no one to ask me this question," she said in a voice so calm it was terrifying. "You have no right to ask."

She turned to walk away, but I couldn't let her go—not like this. My anger exploded, and I lashed out, knocking over anything within my reach. Glass shattered, and pieces flew everywhere as I screamed, "So this was the reason you handed me that contract on our wedding night, wasn’t it?"

She froze mid-step, her back still facing me. Her silence was like a knife twisting deeper into my chest.

"I want answers, Advika!" I shouted, my voice echoing off the walls.

When she didn’t respond, I let my rage pour out. "So, this is why you said you don't believe in love? Because you wanted to marry him, but I forced you into this marriage out of my damn ego?!"

She turned around slowly, her face set in a cold mask. "You’re not in the right state to hear anything from me right now, Vidyut," she said, her voice barely more than a whisper. "Calm down before you do something you'll regret."

I clapped my hands mockingly. "Wow, Advika! What an actress! Pretending to care for your lover boy while trying to save him. Tell me the truth, Advika! Give me the goddamn answers before I rip him apart and make a vow to hate you for the rest of my life!"

She gritted her teeth and finally snapped, "Do whatever you want! I don’t care!"

That was it. I lost all control. I grabbed her by the arms, my grip harsh, my voice venomous. "I will burn this whole house down with both of us inside if you don’t tell me the truth!" I threatened, my eyes blazing with madness.

She shoved me away, her eyes blazing with anger to match mine. "Oh really, Mr. Vidyut? Why do you even care so much? Is it your ego that's hurt, or is it something else?"

I rubbed my forehead, frustration boiling over. "Don’t mess with me, Advika! Just tell me if it's true!"

She screamed back at me, her voice raw with emotion, "I will never answer you, because you don’t trust me! The first thing that builds a relationship is trust, and you didn’t give me that!" She held my collar, trembling with rage. "I will never forgive you for this, Vidyut, never!"

"I do trust you, Advika!" I shouted, my own voice breaking. "But I need to know what happened, why you’re acting like this!"

She pushed me back again, her voice turning ice cold. "You forced me into this marriage, Vidyut. You ruined my life, and now you want answers? I thought I could find some happiness with you, but you ruined even that."

The words stung, each one landing like a blow to my chest. "You know what, Advika?" I said through gritted teeth. "I thought I’d give you all the love you deserved, but you turned it into a brutal fight. Now, I’ll hurt you in every way possible—I’ll break you so you can’t ever get back up again."

I went from there. my mind was racing, every thought crashing into the next. Everything seemed to be falling apart, like a sudden storm destroying everything in its wake. Advika's silence, her cold stare—it hurt more than anything I could've imagined. How could she do this? I regretted asking her that question, but I needed to know the truth. What happened when I wasn't there?

I asked for a glass of wine, hoping the alcohol might numb this madness. Just then, I felt a presence beside me. A voice I didn't care to recognize sneered, "Oh, lover boy, I see pain in your heart. Haa, you really thought she'd stay loyal, didn't you?" I looked up, my vision slightly blurred by the alcohol and anger. I could only make out his smirk, that smug expression mocking my pain.

"You know, Vidyut," he continued, voice dripping with mockery, "if I were in your place, I'd force her so hard that she'd scream the truth out. She’s nothing but a—"

I didn't let him finish. Rage boiled in my veins, and I lunged at him, throwing him to the ground. I punched him again and again, my knuckles bruising with each hit. "You dare speak about her like that?" I shouted, my voice hoarse with anger. "I'll kill you right here if you mention her name again!"

He laughed through his bleeding lips, a twisted smile forming on his face. "That's the truth, Vidyut. She cheated on you. While you were out there trying to play the perfect husband, she was busy—" I silenced him with another punch, but his words lingered like poison in my mind.

I stood up, shaking with fury when a girl approached me, swaying her hips, her eyes glinting with mischief. "Hey, handsome," she purred, reaching out to touch my arm, "let's have some fun. I promise I can make you forget all about her."

I pushed her away, shouting, "I belong to one! Just one!" My voice echoed in the club, raw and broken. But she came at me again, this time more forceful, kissing my neck. My body reacted, stiffening in revulsion as I pushed her off with all my strength.

"Back off!" I screamed, my voice almost desperate.

But she was relentless. Somehow, she dragged me to a dimly lit room. I was dizzy, my mind in a haze, but I still knew what I was doing. She tried to undress me, her hands fumbling over my clothes. That was it. Even if I was drunk, my limits were clear. No one could cross the line I’d set for Advika, not even in my lowest state.

I grabbed her hair tightly, making her yelp in pain. "My mother taught me to respect women," I said, my voice cold as ice, "but this is my way of giving you the respect you deserve." I dragged her out of the room, through the crowded club, all the way to the street outside where vehicles were zooming past.

"You want fun?" I sneered, throwing her into the path of oncoming traffic. "Here's your fun!" A truck honked loudly, its brakes screeching as it tried to avoid her. The impact sent her flying, her body colliding with the road in a mess of screams and chaos. "You can't touch what belongs to her. Only her."

I didn’t care. She touched what belonged to Advika. That was the price to pay.

Breathing heavily, I turned away when another girl approached, trembling like a leaf. "I'm not like her," she stammered, "I was sent by your brother to help you." I barely nodded, numb and disoriented. I stumbled into my car, sinking into the backseat, my mind replaying the chaos over and over.

When I reached home, my rage was still simmering, threatening to explode. The girl who helped me get out of the car followed closely behind. As we entered the house, I saw Advika standing there, clutching our wedding album in her hands. Her eyes narrowed when she saw the girl beside me, and her gaze darted to the lipstick stains on my collar. Hurt and accusation flooded her face.

"So, looking at our wedding photos?" I said, slurring slightly. "Or are you planning to marry your lover boy the way we did?"

Advika's eyes blazed with fury as she pushed me back, hard enough to make me stumble. "Shut up, Vidyut! Just shut up!" she screamed. "You have no right to question me when you come home reeking of another woman's perfume. How many more are there, Vidyut? How many women have you let touch what was supposed to be mine?"

I grabbed her arms tightly, dragging her close. "One more word, Advika," I growled, "and I’ll show you just how dangerous I can be. Don't test me."

"Cheater," she spat, her voice breaking, "you’re nothing but a cheater." Her words cut deep, deeper than any wound, and I lost control. In a blind rage, I grabbed the album from her hands and threw it while took the matchstick from my pocket and burned it. The flames roared to life, consuming our memories in seconds.

"Vidyut, stop this madness!" my mother screamed, running toward us, but I blocked her way with a raised hand.

"Stay out of this, Ma!" I shouted. "This is between me and her. I'll burn down this whole house if I have to!"

Advika's face was twisted in defiance, yet there was a flicker of fear in her eyes. She grabbed a candle and set fire to another corner of the room, where no flames had reached yet. "Let it burn, Vidyut," she said coldly, "I want to see how far you can go."

The fire spread, wild and untamed, lighting up the room in an inferno of our shattered love. I pulled out my gun, the metal cold and heavy in my hand. "You want to see how far I can go, Advika?" I said, voice low and trembling with fury. "I will burn everything. I will destroy everything you ever loved, including myself, if that's what it takes to make you believe that I loved you—truly, madly, deeply."

My father shouted from behind, "Vidyut! Advika! This is nothing but a fire of misunderstanding! It will consume you both. Stop before it's too late."

But Advika didn’t back down. "Let it ruin everything, Dad," she said, eyes locked onto mine, "I want to see how far this hate can drive us."

We stood there, surrounded by the flames, our hearts burning just as fiercely, with no sign of surrender in sight.

Bye:)
