At a place near the city outskirts...under the tree was standing a man... leaning his head on to the tree... His gaze was locked to the lake that was calm and cool
"Why can't my life be like this lake?? Peaceful and steady without any tides of disturbances
Why the waves of happiness are always replaced by the waves of the past that ruins my peaceful life
Don't I deserve to be happy??
As he was Carrying a chain of thoughts a lone tear escaped his eye...
Feeling some wetness on his check Arjun was back from his trance and wiped the tears with the back of his hands
Taking out his phone from the pant pocket he stared at the photo sent by Raghav and the corner of his lips slightly moved upwards forming a light smile but unfortunately, that smile couldn't last long when he thought back to the morning incident where he behaved like an absurd
Morning Flashback:
Wave....A wave of happiness...our happiness
He described the meaning of their little angel and snuggled more into her by circling his hands around her stomach
Sona was busy adoring the name of their little bundle of happiness and was extremely happy with his confession
But she couldn't utter a word as she was amazed at the way Arjun revealed the name of their daughter...she wanted to enjoy the moment to her heart extent and keeping her hands on his she tightened his hold on her stomach
Arjun closed his eyes feeling the moment of serenity and abruptly the strong storm of depressing incidents hit him hard
Instantly he opened his eyes to avoid those flashes and his body become numb
Twisting herself Sona tried to hug him but when she noticed his eyes become red and face turning pale she got scared and immediately patted his cheek "Arjun...what happened??"
Feeling her touch he came back to reality and shook his head with a jerk to get rid off of the dreadful thoughts
"Arjun...are you ok??...what happened?? please speak something"
"No...nothing...I need to leave" he pushed her making her fall on the bed and stood up in a swift motion and began running his hand through his hair
She was taken aback at his sudden change...
He was about to take a step to storm off as always but she was quick enough to hold his wrist
Holding his wrist she got up from the bed and standing in front of him and looking into his red eyes she warned sternly "Not this time Arjun"
Looking into her angelic eyes he couldn't stay there anymore and brushing off her hand he just stormed off
Flashback ends:
"Sorry Sona...I always hurt you...disappoint you...but I don't do it intentionally Sona...I am helpless...helpless of the past trauma...the impact of the past on my life is so strong to be forgotten....the scars on my heart are too difficult to fade away
Memories whether good or bad...remains with us...can't neglect them...because sometimes they make us and sometimes breaks us"
He apologized looking at the photo and kissed the screen
The damage of emotional scars are very difficult to heal because the memories are imprinted on our heart and mind and it takes too much time to mend those scars
When a person has experienced something painful in the past, he automatically does everything within his power to avoid feeling the same pain in the future...this keeps the person alert and he begins assuming that whatever happens or is happening will repeat the past and he will have to bear the same trauma
Sometimes a fearful past causes a fearful future and ultimately the past and future becomes the one
Arjun was going through the same difficulty...he was scared that his painful past and the happy future he is wishing for will become one.
On the other hand, Sona had to dress up her emotions in front of everyone...
She was worried about him...worried about his mysterious behaviour and also she was hurt by the way he pushed her
While she was going through all this another difficulty came across her. The difficulty that was more important than Arjun's reckless behaviour
When Sona reached the hospital to check upon Siya...she and Sushant concluded of Siya diagnosed with jaundice...Siya breastfeeding the baby at such a condition was not good
Having a brief discussion about this with the senior doctors and taking their second opinion it was clear that keeping the baby with Siya was not safe
They informed the same to Raghav Siya....
Siya was sad to know this but she didn't want her baby to get affected because of her so she gave a green signal satisfactorily
Raghav's mother was not keeping well so she can not look after the baby and Siya's mother already had her daughter's responsibility so Sona came forward to take the responsibility of the baby for which both the parents were more than happy and agreed for the same
Sona can take care of the baby more than anyone else....As a doctor and as a mother she can play the dual role very well...and an experienced elder Amma would help her if needed...coming to this conclusion all were relieved
Sona asked Raghav to inform the same to Arjun. She was upset with his behaviour so she avoided talking to him.
At the hospital when Arjun arrived Sona didn't bother to look at him and his guilt reached the next level
"Don't worry....I'll take the best care of Siraj....and I'll try not to give you guys any scope of complaint" Sona gave the much possible assurance to Siya and Raghav
"There's no need of any assurance Gudiya...Siraj will have the best time with you and Aaloo...and we strongly believe that you both will look after the baby more than us" Raghav said whereas Siya added
"But we are sorry too...because of Siraj your night romance session will be converted to babysitting session" and winked at Sona
Sona gave a fake smile with her tight lips where Raghav winked at Arjun
"It's good for them Siya...they will have good practice...and this practice for them is must because very soon we'll get good news from them too"
Arjun gave a fake smile to Raghav and the couple headed towards their home with the baby
The journey in the car was silent where Sona was sitting next to Arjun with Siraj on her lap...
Arjun was stealing glances at her and she was completely avoiding him...
She was badly hurt this time...she was expecting an explanation from him

Reaching home Sona made herself busy with Siraj
Arjun made many attempts to talk to her...but Sona gave him cold shoulder and he isolated himself in the study room.
The cold war between them continued till night
Post struggling to have at least a word with her Arjun was back to their room and the moment his eyes caught the sight of the most beautiful view his heart welled with tears pooled up in his eyes
Sona was carrying Siraj in her arms and singing the same lullaby that Arjun's mother used to sing for the little Arjun
Unaware of his presence Sona was roaming in the room singing the loveliest lullaby and making Siraj drown in a sweet slumber
Watching the lovely scene Arjun doused in the memories of his childhood...all the sweetest of his memories with Maa carved a bigger smile on his lips
Leaning to the wall he recalled all the memories...how Maa used to feed him...how she made him sleep on her shoulder...how she used to run after him all over the house...how he used to mess up the whole house with his toys...and many more never-ending and never erasing memories that he had stored safely in his heart
He was so engulfed in the mansion of his memories that he didn't notice when Sona settled on the bed leaning to the headboard with Siraj drifting off on her chest
When her soft and soothing voice was silenced and not audible to his ears...He was back from the mansion of memories to the room of reality
And looking at the bed he found Sona patting the baby Siraj's back lovingly and humming very softly...but her gaze was fixed at her first baby...Arjunâ¤
Though she was avoiding him verbally her mind couldn't stop thinking about him...she was worried as she knew Arjun was so delicate to deal
Crawling up the bed he sat next to her with his legs spread wide on the mattress.
Bending to her chest he placed a soft kiss on Siraj's head whereas Sona was just watching his actions without uttering a word to him but was secretly smiling in her lips when Arjun kissed Siraj.
After adoring the baby, Arjun leaned his head on Sona's shoulder and put his hand over hers which was patting Siraj's back
Now both of them were patting the baby's back with their hands resting one over the other
Our soulmate next to us and the baby in our arms sleeping peacefully is such a blissful feelingâ¤
Both of them felt blessed at that moment...the feeling was an eternity⤠divineâ¤
"Sorry" With his head still on her shoulder Arjun whispered in his baby tone that was enough to melt his Sona
She was handling two babies....one sleeping on her chest and the other one on her shoulder
"Done with enjoying your personal space??" She questioned him coldly
"I tried talking to you...but you were angry with me" he said maintaining the same baby tone
"Yes, I am angry" she reacted trying to be harsh
Lifting his head he kissed her cheek "Won't you forgive your Angry Bird??"
Putting Siraj on the bed she covered him with the baby blanket and announced "No...this time the roles are reversed"
Positioning the pillows to the sides as a protective border she added further "Anyhow you don't trust me...so what's the point in talking or discussing"
"Sona please...listen
Pointing her finger at the glass she cut him "You did not have the dinner properly....finish the milk and sleep"
"No I will not have milk" he opposed
"Look...I am already handling one baby and I can't afford one more to bear so please stop behaving like a baby" she snapped at him rudely
"What if I don't follow your words??" He argued
"Do whatever you want" saying she back faced him
Placing his hand on her shoulder he tried to plead her "Sona sor
Before he could speak she brushed off his hand "If you are not comfortable sharing your thoughts with me then better I won't force you for anything...because I am no one to you"
The last words pierced his heart badly... And his eyes brimmed up without his knowledge...he blinked multiple times to stop his tears
Realising the bitterness of the words that slipped out her mouth she slapped her forehead cursing herself...She knew well to what extent her words could impact him...
She turned and found him staring at his lap....holding his face between her soft cottony palms she lifted his head and his teary eyes met hers
Wiping the pearl at the corner of his eyes she explained "It was just a slip of tongue baby...I didn't mean it"
He didn't respond anything....he just kept staring at her like a small kid who was about to cry for scolding him
And the next second directly she pulled him onto her chest and his hands tightened her waist
This baby of hers had a great impact on her heart...all the time when she tries to be angry with him...she fails miserably and is forced to bend down in front of him
"You know I have no one except you...then too yo
"Sshhh" she cut him stroking his hair and he snuggled more into her chest...his fear was rotting him since the morning incident and he was dying to be in her arms....the only place where he finds solace
After a while lifting his head she looked at him but his eyes were closed
Cupping his face she caressed his cheeks with her thumbs and moving her lips to his face she placed soft kisses on both his eyes
And that's when he opened his innocent eyes and her lips pressed to his forehead lingering over there for a fraction of seconds
"Chalo batao kya hua??" (Come on tell me what happened)
"I was scared"
"I know that you were scared Arjun...I am asking you the reason behind it"
"Don't know all of sudden I got scared that the happy moment we were sharing will be ruined...our happiness will be ruined and I can't take it Sona...I can't survive those moments"
"But how many times I should tell you storming off won't solve the problem...and if I am unable to understand you then explain me in the way I understand but don't run away from me....did I ever say I will not listen to you??"
"I know Sona... but I am telling you na... I can't survive those heartbreaks"
Cupping his face she asked"Don't you trust me"
Holding her wrist he admitted "I do Sona...but
"You assumed that I will say no or I will disagree with you on the baby's topic??" She interrupted
"No Sona...I got your answer when you clasped my hands tightly to your tummy...I understood you too want the same but then those horrible flashes attacked me again and
"But baby...I told you na I'll always be there with you to hold you...then why did you leave ha??" She asked him softly
"There's no doubt that you will always hold me Sona...but remember I told you once...my happiness has a short expiry date...it won't last long...Whenever I am happy something bad has happened and I thought that's what going to repeat today...and I was scared of spoiling your happiness....I wanted your the smile on your face to the last longer so I decided to disapp
"Disappear like Mr India as always...hai na??" She cut him in a calm tone
"Ha because I don't want you to get affected because of me...I don't want your brightness to be replaced by the slightest hint of my darkness"
"And why do feel like our happiness will be ruined??"
"Because my happiness is like a garden with a fragile glass shield...one storm of a bad memory is enough to break the shield and ruin my garden of blooming happiness
And this is why I was scared because I know now your happiness depends on me...
When I smile your heart smiles....When I cry your heart cries too...when I am sad your smile fades away
And your smile is my strength and I can't afford to lose my strength"
He said in one go and looked at her conveying the pain of his heart
"I know it's not that easy to forget everything but as time passes we are healed Arjun...
It's just that you need to take the first step out of the cage of darkness towards the open sky of bright colourful life
And I am always there with you holding your hand in every step you take"
His innocent eyes that had a hint of fear minutes before were now calmed by her loving embrace and heartfelt declarations
"And even if you get negative thoughts just recall those words you spoke to Deepali...
We have positive and negative thoughts both..but it is up to us that what thoughts we are feeding our mind because our minds create our beliefs and we must feed positive thoughts to our minds because we are the ones who are creating our reality
So Don't let your demons affect our happiness...samjhe??"
He nodded whereas she added
"And even something bad happens there's no need to worry about it because something good is definitely hidden in the bad...ye bhi samjhe??"
This time nodded with a thin smile giving her some satisfaction and she opened her arms for the baby and embraced him and confessed her anxiety
"Whenever you won't share what's going on in your stupid brain and isolate yourself... I feel so helpless...I feel like I am incapable of anything related to you"
"Sorry Sona...next time when I repeat this stunt of Mr India...you smash me with the broom"
"God knows how am I going to handle 2 babies in the future...Bappa give me lots of strength please...this baby of mine is too difficult to handle" she laughed
Lifting his head he frowned "Difficult to handle??"
"Actually, there's a correction...too much difficult to handle will be apt for you" she pinched his nose
While he was rubbing his nose she added further with a blushing smile
"And if you continue the same all my energy will be drained because of you...then you tell me how will I able to look after Aarna??"
Hearing her sweet doubt his heart jumped in happiness and he quickly pecked her lips and cupping her face he asked "You liked the name??"
"I loved it"
Both smiled and resting his head on her lap he laid on the bed
"You know what Sona...Maa used to sing the same lullaby to make me sleep...and you sing the same for Aarna"
It was an order from him for which she hummed in response running her fingers through his hairs
"Me and Aarna will sleep listening to your lullaby...and Sona listen we wi
And suddenly they heard Siraj's soft voice...Siraj was about to wake up but Sona immediately patted his head and again within no time he was back to his beauty sleep
"Sona make him sleep here on my chest" he instructed but Sona wasn't sure then he continued
"I won't disturb him Sona...please till Aarna comes I will practice babysitting with my chotu Abu...please Sona...please " he pleaded with a cute pout and as always she was melted
She placed Siraj on his chest carefully and he began patting his little back
"Wow....Sona... it feels something different...something soothing" he whispered in a much lower voice yet excited tone making sure not to disturb the baby
She smiled at his excitement
"And I forgot to tell you...your shaitaan baccha wants 5-6 babies"
"What??" She almost screamed and immediately he palmed her mouth and laughed silently
Taking off his hands she replied "5-6...like seriously Arjun??"
"Ha I am ok with it Sona... it's only that I need to do overtime at home...but don't worry I'll manage"
He accepted shamelessly and Sona's mouth went open wide like a fish
She slapped his bicep and groaned "Shameless"
"Come on Sona you are a Doctor...you know better than me...How will we get Aarna if I'll not be shameless ha??"
She was turning pink at his bold words and couldn't utter any word
"Your cheeks must have turned into Shimla apples now...but no need to hide them...I won't taste them as my chotu Abu is sleeping...but once I'll get some privacy I won't leav
And she shut his mouth with her palm
"Just few minutes before you were sobbing on my chest and now you are being super shameless...such a drastic change within few minutes"
Taking off her hand he explained "Just now you said na...feed your mind with positive thoughts...that's what I am doing...and you know about me na Sona...I am your obedient husband who follows all your words ....and I believe you are so lucky to have an obedient husband like me"
She blushed hard and hide her face with her palms and Arjun was enjoying teasing her
"You should thank me Sona...I was in plans of a dozen number of babies...but thinking of you somehow I convinced myself with having 6 babies"
Her eyes popped out with a football-size "Dozen??"
"No Sona...its half dozen" he corrected calmly
"I am gone" she leaned her head back to the headboard and Arjun suppressed his laugh
The next few minutes were of silence with a smile on their lips
"Sona" he whispered while she was caressing his hairs
"Hmm"
"Will you stop pampering me when we'll have babies??"
"You are my first baby....and you are gonna be the same forever till eternity"
"Pakka??"
Bending to his face she placed a soft kiss on his lips "Pakka"
"Look chotu Abu you are my witness...in future when Sona denies her statement you should help me ok"
Saying he pressed his lips to baby's head whereas Sona's lips were pressed to Arjun's head
