Chapter 110 Finnegan Was Ruthless.
Finnegan was displaying an incredible amount of restraint by not physically confronting his detestable relatives.
One could hardly blame him for doubting whether it was even worth extending a helping hand to them.
âFinnegan, have you completely forsaken your humanity?â
Melinda couldnât contain her frustration when she heard Finnegan was preparing to leave. Her demeanor shifted back to its former shrewish state. âYouâre being so petty with your family and even refuse to save them. Has your conscience truly abandoned you?â
Qahira chimed in, her tone equally incredulous. âThatâs right! You ought to have volunteered without us elders having to plead for you to come. Yet, even when we do, you remain unmoved? You truly are something else!â
In no time, their ugly side emerged once again.
Finnegan found their behavior both pitiable and laughable.
Whoâs the ones lacking in conscience? Whoâs truly inhuman?
However, the longer this situation continued, the more repulsive Finnegan found their conduct. âGet out of the way!â
Melinda held her ground, stepping forward. âWhat? Are you going to hit me if I donât? Come on, give it a try! Youâre just a heartless cur who wouldnât even deign to think of his own family!â
Qahira practically roared at Desmond and his wife, âDidnât you two promise us earlier? Whatâs happening now? Cat got your tongue? Canât you even handle your own son?â
Desmond and his wife quickly spoke up to try and placate their families.
âFinny, stop throwing a tantrum. Weâre all family and have the same blood running through our veins.
Your father and I bear no grudges, and you shouldnât either. Drop the petty act and go check on Max and the others.â
Finnegan was growing frustrated, yet he couldnât let his temper flare at his parents, who were being morally strongarmed in this situation.
Thus, he coolly surveyed Melinda and the others, who were staring at him angrily. âWill you move or not?â
âYou arrogant brat!â Adrian stepped forward aggressively, his raised hand poised to strike Finnegan.
âYou wonât raise a finger for your own kin in distress, will you? Iâll teach you a lesson you wonât forget!â
Raymondâs tone grew stern. âIndeed. This boy needs a sound thrashing!â
Finneganâs brows furrowed as he gripped Adrianâs hand. âYou keep your distance when you donât need me, as if youâd rather avoid any association with me. Yet, when youâre in need, suddenly weâre family, huh? Your hypocrisy is truly nauseating!â
With an assertive push from Finnegan, Adrian staggered backward.
He lost his footing and landed squarely on his rear.

r âUnbelievable! He just laid a hand on his own uncle! Heâs going to be punished in hell for this!â
âLook! Everyone, come see this! This guy is hitting his uncle!â
âMelinda, Qahira, donât shout and make a spectacle of ourselves!â
âWhy not? Weâll have everyone witness this heartless cur in action. He wonât even help or cure his own family!â
In the wake of Adrianâs tumble, Melindaâs screams reverberated through the hallway. Qahira followed suit, while Quiana failed to stop them no matter what she did.
The commotion attracted a throng of patients, family members, and a multitude of medical personnel from nearby rooms.
The atmosphere was charged with accusations as the crowd pointed fingers, swayed by Melinda and the others. âDid you hear? They say heâs a miraclé doctor here who can even cure cancer patients.
However, can you believe heâs so morally bankrupt? How can he show such callous disregard for his own family?â
Quiana rushed to clarify, âItâs not like that. My son isnât morally bankrupt.â
Yet, in this era, it often appeared that the loudest voices spoke the truth.
The bystanders embraced Melinda and Qahiraâs narrative, with some even joining in to condemn Finnegan for his apparent heartlessness.
With each passing moment, Finneganâs countenance grew darker. Melinda and her allies were testing his patience and pushing him to his limits.
Before long, even Alexander was alerted to the commotion. He approached the scene and asked, âWhatâs happening?â
Recognizing him as the hospitalâs director, Melinda and Qahira hurried to him to present their grievances. âDr. Cooper, you need to dismiss this doctor immediately. He has no sense of medical ethics. One of his own family members is ill and hospitalized, while another is in a coma from an accident. Yet, he wonât lift a finger to help them.â
âIf you wonât terminate him, then at least make sure he treats my son. If not, weâre prepared to report your hospital for refusing treatment.â
âThatâs right! Weâll expose your hospital, and its reputation will plummet. You will be held responsible.â
Alexander instantly felt a headache forming. He instructed the security personnel to take Melinda and Qahira aside first.
Then, he approached Finnegan. âMr. Larkin, can you explain whatâs going on?â
Finnegan replied, âLetâs first disperse the crowd. Please clear the area and maintain the hospitalâs order.â
Promptly. Alexander ordered the security personnel to disperse the crowd and shut the office door.
Melinda let out a contemptuous snort. âDr. Cooper, donât even think about protecting Finnegan. We will report both you and this hospital.â
âMelinda, mind your words.â Quiana attempted to defuse the situation. âFinny is a good young man. He will treat Max.â

Finneganâs voice was as cold as ice.
Quiana reprimanded him. âEnough! Do you want to be forever branded as heartless?â
âDr. Cooper!â Finnegan ignored Quiana and turned to Alexander with a grave expression. âA few days ago, I asked you to help find a compatible bone marrow for Max. You can forget about that now. Weâll follow the standard procedure. Let him wait until a match is found, and if no match can be found, then let him. die.â
A profound silence descended upon the room.
Even Alexander, who had witnessed Finnegan force Patrick to kneel, displayed a flicker of emotion.
This level of ruthlessness was staggering.
âFinnegan, youâre a disgrace!â Melinda was the first to regain her voice. She launched into a vehement tirade. âIf you donât want to help, then so be it. Yet, you want the hospital to stop searching? Are you even human to stoop this low?â
Quiana stepped toward Finnegan, her voice laced with urgency as she grabbed his hand. âWhat are you thinking? Since youâve already asked Dr. Cooper to arrange for the search, then let him continue!â
Finnegan withdrew his hand from Quianaâs grasp, stepping back. âTheir family doesnât deserve it.â
Then, he retrieved his phone and ignored Adrian and his wife, whom Alexanderâs security guards were barely holding back. It was as if he were deaf to their curses.
He dialed Reynardâs number.
âRey, please check my Uncle Raymondâs bank account for me. Then, transfer three million nine hundred and twenty thousand from it to my account! My sisterâs car was totaled by their son, and he also embezzled two million from my father. Thanks in advance!â
Finnegan hung up the phone.
He was going to teach these two families a lesson.â
Qahira sneered, âFinnegan, are you dreaming? Do you think the bank is your family business? How can you transfer our money away with a single phone call?â
Raymond coldly huffed. âHeâs just playing tricks!â
However, not long after, Raymondâs phone chimed with a message notification.
Curious, he checked it before his face turned pale in an instant.
The next moment, he charged at Finnegan like a man possessed. âYou heartless cur! What did you do? Give me back the money!â
Qahira panicked. âWhatâs going on?â
âThat two million has really been transferred, while another one million and nine hundred twenty thousand that we set aside for Xavierâs house purchase has been taken as well!â
Now Qahira went crazy too. She also tried to charge at Finnegan, screaming. âYou ungrateful b*stard!
Give us back our money!â
However, the security guards present held them back, leaving them to spew venomous insults from where they stood.
Finnegan remained unfazed. âIf you had just behaved yourselves, Max wouldâve found a matching bone marrow donor quickly. I wouldnât have bothered pursuing the money for the wrecked car as well as the borrowed funds either Alas. You two are just too disgusting. Dr. Cooper, please have them taken away. I need to take my parents home Alexander nodded. âDrag them out.â
Smack Suddenly, a loud slap echoed, and the office plunged into silence.
Bewildered. Finnegan gazed at Desmond with a pained expression.
âDadâ
