Chapter 116 Asking A Favor That was an outcome that no one expected.
âWhat are you doing. Mr. Haimowitz?â Derrick shouted in confusion after snapping out of his dazed state.
âI donât need to explain myself to you,â Zephyr replied while kicking Derrick down to the floor.
Michelle was so frightened that she shrunk back into a corner of the room.
âMy father is Robert Weller, Mr. Haimowitz! Do you even realize the consequences of your actions?â
Derrick exclaimed angrily while rubbing his tummy.
âConsequences? Itâs funny that youâre talking to me about consequences after p*ssing Mr. Larkin off!
Do you really think Iâd be afraid of you? Also, donât even try to threaten me with your father, or Iâll pull some strings to launch an investigation on him and get him jailed!â Zephyr retorted with a sneer.
Given the Haimowitz familyâs status and power, doing something like that would indeed be a piece of cake.
Derrickâs face fell, and he didnât dare say another word.
With a smile, Zephyr walked up to Finnegan again and asked, âWell? Are you satisfied, Mr. Larkin?â
Cracking his neck, Finnegan stood up and glanced at Todd and Andrew as he asked, âSo, you two said you were going to teach me a lesson earlier, didnât you?â
âAnswer the question!â Zephyr shouted at them.
Unlike Tyrone, Todd and Andrew didnât dare offend Zephyr.
âThis is all a misunderstanding, Mr. Haimowitz. Derrick is the one at fault here,â Finnegan said when he saw them chickening out.
âI want you guys to keep a close eye on Derrick and Michelle. Either they kneel for three days, or you guys will!â
âWho do you think you are, Finnegan? You really think Mr. Haimowitz can protect you forever?â Derrick protested.
Huh⦠Is that a threat I hear?
If there was one thing Finnegan hated most, it was being threatened.
âIâm nothing impressive, but I do have you at my mercy right now, and I could have Mr. Haimowitz get rid of your father through his connections. Thatâs good enough for me. So, will you kneel?â
The look on Derrickâs face changed when he heard that.
Eventually, he had no choice but to suppress his anger and frustration. âIâll kneel!â
Iâll cut my losses and get my revenge on Finnegan some other time!
Finnegan wasnât all that concerned about Derrick coming back for revenge, though. He stood up and patted Casper on the shoulder as he said, âLetâs go. Thereâs nothing here worthy of your time and energy anymore.â
Ð Having snapped out of her dazed state, Michelle cried out, âCasper! Casper!â
However, Casper was so disappointed in her that he followed Finnegan out of there without even looking back.
âYou guys heard what Mr. Larkin said! Either make sure these two kneel for three days, or Iâll have you guys kneel for three days!â Zephyr told Todd and Andrew. Then, he slapped Michelle before storming off.
âMr. Mackle, Mr. Coleman, are we just going to let this slide?â Derrick asked.
While he couldnât afford to offend Zephyr by going after Finnegan, Todd and Andrew could.
Todd and Andrew exchanged glances before the latter said, âThe Haimowitz family is able to communicate with Mr. Calandrino directly. Itâs best not to let Mr. Calandrino find out about something as trivial as this, so youâll just have to endure for three days!â
Derrick felt all the more frustrated when he heard that.
âJust you wait, Finnegan!â
Meanwhile, Zephyr ran up to a custom Bentley with a license plate number of five sixes and opened the car door.
âIs this the car Old Mr. Haimowitz wants to give me?â Finnegan asked.
âYes, thatâs right! This is the car that my grandpa would like to give you, Mr. Larkin! The transfer procedures have all been taken care of. Please donât tell my grandpa that Iâve been driving it throughout the past few days!â Zephyr replied with a nod.
Isnât this car a little too high-profile?
With that in mind, Finnegan dragged Casper to the side and said, âYou can drive this car for the time being. Iâll give you a call if I need it.â
âTake care, Mr. Larkin!â
Zephyr waited until the two had disappeared from sight before scratching his head in confusion and mumbling to himself, âAnd here I thought heâd turn out to be some big, strong man. He looks even younger than I am! Is he really as powerful as Grandpa claims?â
The bodyguard next to him leaned in close and whispered, âOld Mr. Haimowitz has never been wrong when it comes to such things. Please do not doubt his judgment, or things could end very badly.â
Zephyr shuddered at the mere thought of Winstonâs temper.
âIn that case, I wonât interfere any further. We must tell Grandpa that I helped Mr. Larkin out today, though. Who knows? He might just increase my allowance by a few thousand!â
Finnegan brought Casper to a restaurant as they hadnât had lunch yet.
âHow did you become acquainted with the Haimowitz family, Finnegan? Mr. Haimowitz was behaving so respectfully toward you!â Casper asked curiously while waiting for the food to be served.
âI picked up some medical knowledge throughout the past few years, and I happened to save Old Mr.
Haimowitzâs life one day. As such, the Haimowitz family owes me a huge favor,â Finnegan replied.

Casper nodded in response. âOh, I see. Just how skilled are you in medicine now? My mom says youâre almost done treating your fatherâs legs!â
âItâs all right, I guess,â Finnegan said with a smile.
âCould I ask you for a favor, then, Finnegan?â
Finnegan eyed Casper from head to toe as he answered, âYou seem pretty healthy to me, though. I donât think you need any kind of treatment at all.â
Casper scratched his head awkwardly as he said, âIâm not asking you to treat me. I want you to help me make a lot of money because Iâm sick of living like this.â
He then paused briefly before continuing, âIf possible, could you also teach me how to fight?â
Michelle wouldnât have cheated on me if I were rich, and I wouldnât have needed Finnegan to avenge me today if I were more capable!
As Finnegan understood his feelings, he replied with a nod, âSure thing! Head over to Jerome Medical Clinic and speak to Mr. Magnussen. You can help out over there while I teach you a thing or two. Of course, Iâll pay you a salary too. Donât even think about saying no to that!â
âAll right, then. Did you and Dr. Magnussen really partner up to run a clinic together?â Casper asked.
Jenna had told him about it before, but Casper never had the chance to confirm it with Finnegan.
Finnegan patted him on the shoulder. âWeâre open for business starting next Friday. Also, please donât tell my parents about what happened today. I donât want them getting worried.â
âIn that case, please keep what happened between me and Michelle a secret from my mom and Josephine as well. I donât want them going after her to avenge me or anything.â
Meanwhile, Tyrone was fishing by the pond in the backyard of Tyrone Mansion when Leonardo ran up to him and reported, âMr. Calandrino, weâve received an update from the guys tailing Finnegan. He caused quite a scene at Tyrone Restaurant earlier.â
Tyrone was so calm that his hand didnât even tremble as he asked, âDid he do it on purpose to spite me?â
âI donât think so.â
Leonardo then proceeded to tell Tyrone the details of what happened.
âSince it was a mere coincidence, weâll just ignore it,â Tyrone said after hearing his report.
âWhat about the other two things I told you to do? Are you done with making the arrangements?â he added after a brief pause.
âLiam gave me a call earlier. As per your instructions, I didnât tell him too much. Thanks to the report from the city council, Liam does not suspect that Finnegan has anything to do with the destruction of the Chomsky family. If everything goes according to plan, he should not hold back when going against Finnegan. As for that other thing, Iâve already made all the necessary arrangements without leaving any traces, so no one will be able to trace it back to us,â Leonardo replied.
Tyrone nodded in satisfaction after hearing that.
âRegardless of whether this fish comes from the Wahlstrom family, weâll have to catch it and kill it!â he O
