Chapter 9 Analyzing Her Looks âWhat happened to Killi?â Killianâs father, Tristan Chomsky, roared like a furious lion in the ward of General Hospital.
The stern voice of Tristan Group chairman caused all the medical staff in the hospital to shudder. None of them dared to say anything.
Tristan took a glance at his unconscious son and bellowed, âAre all of you dumb?â
After giving one of Killianâs bodyguards a slap on the face, he ordered, âYou! Tell me what happened!â
The bodyguard, who had kept mum, spilled it all out. He told Tristan how Killian had gone to look for Finnegan, including all the details.
Tristanâs eyes turned cold. âHe did this to Killi?â
âI donât think so. He was at least about three meters away from Mr. Killian,â the bodyguard replied.
After narrowing his eyes in deep thought, Tristan called the doctor over and asked, âWhat exactly happened to my son?â
The doctor answered in a trembling voice, âWeâve assembled a team of experts and conducted a comprehensive examination on Mr. Killian, but we couldnât quite determine what happened to him. All we know now is that his condition will flare up once every hour for about ten minutes. After several episodes, the joints in his limbs will become twisted, and his skin will tear as well.â
All of a sudden, Killian started shrieking in pain.
His limbs began twisting like a rope.
The expression on Tristanâs face changed. He turned to the doctors and yelled, âDo something!â
All the doctors immediately got up and injected Killian with a dose of painkiller but to no avail. In the end, they had to sedate him to calm him down.
Nevertheless, his limbs were contorted out of shape, with blood oozing out of his wounds.
Killian, tortured to the point of being almost unrecognizable, weakly uttered, âDad, it must be Finnegan.
He did this to me. Otherwise, why would I be like this after meeting him? This has never happened to me before. You must avenge me!â

Tristanâs eyes turned red. âAre you sure itâs Finnegan?â
âItâs definitely him,â Killian said while gritting his teeth. âI have no idea where he disappeared for the past five years, but when he returned, his combat skills had clearly improved. He even beat Python and his men, who usually worked for me. Moreover, he said some suspicious things before this happened to me. It must be him. He did this to me.â
Tristan knitted his brows. âWe wonât be able to touch him since he has the girl from the Zimmerman family on his side. But donât worry. If heâs indeed the culprit, Iâll definitely not let him off.â
If Finnegan were truly responsible for doing this to Killian, only he would have the ability to get Killian out of this situation.
After Killian passed out from the ten minutes of agony, Tristan stepped out of the ward and ordered his subordinate, âContact the other experts and get them to come and treat Killi. I want you to investigate Finnegan and find out where he went in the last five years. Also, I want to know if he was the one who did this to Killian.â
Quiana woke Finnegan up on a Saturday morning. âBetter get yourself together, Finnegan. Youâll be meeting Rhiaâs senior for the first time. Rhia told me her senior was highly competent and had sold over thirty cars in a month. As a result, she was directly promoted to the deputy manager position.
Now, sheâs already the manager of the store. You should seize this opportunity since she already has a good impression of you.â D Quiana continued nagging and reminding Finnegan before allowing him to leave. Finnegan was filled with frustration, as he had only intended to go through the motions, but he understood that all parents would want their children to tie the knot as soon as possible.
After walking out of the house for some time, Finnegan called Alisha to come and pick him. up. He also asked her about the Chomsky family.
A while later, Alisha arrived in her fiery red Ferrari. She was staying at a nearby hotel to ensure she could appear before Finnegan as soon as possible.
Upon getting into the car, Finnegan sized Alisha up for the very first time.
She stood tall at about five and a half feet, with a well-proportioned and seductive figure. Her red, strapless bodycon dress only added to her allure, making her look even more sensuous.
Upon realizing Finnegan was staring at her, she blinked and asked, âWhat do you think of my looks?â
âFair, long, and tall!â
Alisha was confused âFair, long, and tall? What do you mean?â
å· Finnegan teased her with a smirk. âWhat do you think? Which part of your body is fair, long. and tall?â
As someone who was naturally open-minded, Alisha quickly realized what Finnegan meant. She responded with a giggle and said, âMr. Larkin, when I first met you the other night, I thought you were someone who didnât like to joke around. But now, it seems that youâre just a normal young man.â
Finnegan looked away. âI doubt anyone would be in the mood to joke the other night.â
âCan I ask you a question?â Alisha asked.
âNo,â Finnegan rejected outright, surprising her.
Instead of pursuing the matter further, she simply flipped her hair and hit the gas. Her slender and fair legs once again caught Finneganâs eyes.
Finnegan could not help but be mesmerized by her slender and fair legs.
When Alisha noticed Finnegan was glancing at her again, she teased, âWould you like to touch them, Mr. Larkin? You can if you want, but you must answer my question.â
Finnegan was not embarrassed about being caught staring. âMs. Wahlstrom, youâre such an open-
minded person. Iâm curious to know what your grandpa said when he asked you to meet me.â
âGrandpa told me to seduce you and sleep with you if I had the chance. And Iâve always been an open-
minded person. Do you want me to park the car by the side of the road so that you can experience it yourself?â
The corner of Finneganâs lips twitched. Her straightforwardness caught him off guard.
He cleared his throat and looked away. âIâm afraid I might not recover if I fall for your seduction. Why donât you tell me more about the Chomsky family?â
Rolling her eyes flirtatiously, Alisha said, âKillian suddenly developed a strange illness where his limbs would twist and deform every hour and cause him to suffer in pain. Tristan has been searching for experts to treat him, but so far, there hasnât been any progress. He has also ordered his men to investigate your whereabouts in the last five yearsâ
The turn of events was not unexpected. âLet him continue with his investigation, then Youâve got your reading rewards; tap the on the right top of the page to collect them Is this book as grammatically readable as you expected?

The turn of events was not unexpected. âLet him continue with his investigation, then.â
Finnegan had been living in the mountains for the last five years. He was certain that no one else, except the elites, could find out about his past.
Alisha tested the waters by asking Finnegan, âMr. Lakin, do you think we can settle your old scores with the Chomsky family? If you agree, my grandpa can eliminate them from Jadeborough in ten days.
âHave you ever thought about the true sweetness of revenge?â Finneganâs eyes darkened as he spoke.
âMost people believe that killing off your enemies once and for all is the best method, but to me, itâs much more satisfying to drive them to the brink of despair, offer them a false glimmer of hope, and then ultimately force them to plunge into eternal darkness. Thatâs how I want to unleash my anger.â
His words sent chills up Alishaâs spine.
His approach of pushing the Chomsky family into despair and then destroying them reminded her of the boiling frog analogy.
The thought of his revenge method caused Alisha to shudder, and she could not help but sympathize with the Chomskys.
Finnegan said, âJust do as I say. Your grandpa must have given you all the necessary information.
Donât ask too many questions.â
Alisha nodded in response and sent him to the car dealership.
Finnegan got out of the car outside the premises, as he did not want Rhiannon to see him in a Ferrari.
After watching Finnegan step into the car dealership, Alisha gave her grandfather a call. âGrandpa, who on earth is that man? Heâs younger than me but exudes an aura that stresses. me out. There were even times I felt he could see right through me.â
âDonât ask so many questions. Just do the Wahlstrom family a favor by getting him in bed!â Theoden replied.
Alisha rolled her eyes at her grandfatherâs bluntness. Is it appropriate for a grandfather to speak to his granddaughter like that?
