"Mom? You can speak? You remember me?" I sat on the bed with her still shocked.

"Ewe mntwana wam." (Yes,my child) I hugged her.

"Mom, it's been years and everyday I hoped that I would wake up and found out that you're finally okay. I lost hope, mom. But I'm so glad you're back to us. There's so much you've missed and I want to tell you a lot of things."

"Afe,uyandikhama. You've always been a talkative child even now?" (you're squeezing me) I chuckled and let go of her.

"Uxolo Mama. They say old habits die hard." (Sorry mom) I smiled. I really can't believe my mom snapped out of whatever she was in.

"You sound like your grandma." She laughed.

"Bendikhumbula Mama." (I missed you, mom) I shed a tear. I'm still shocked and I can't believe this. My mom is infront of me and okay at that?

"I'm sorry,my child. I've been in a dark space and I wanted to snap out of the trance I was in but it was like something was preventing me. It's really hard to explain it but I'm okay now. Where are your siblings?"

"Mom you've missed out on a lot of things. Your JoJo is finally married and he relocated to Gauteng with his wife and daughter."

"Really? I really missed out. What's his daughter's name?"

"Her name is Iyana and mom she acts like she owns the world." I laughed. She's doing grade 4 this year and her teacher already complained about her. I do love my niece though.

"I can't wait to meet her. Can you call them and ask them to visit?"

"Yes mom. They are coming next week anyway but now they would really come earlier."

"Where's your twin sister?" My mom looked very happy asking about her children and I was happy to tell her everything.

"This is actually her house. She's married and has one son,his name is Karabo. She's a famous DJ and has made it in life."

"Karabo? Is her husband Tswana?" I nodded.

"It's actually Baleseng. You know him from when he was a child mom."

"I don't remember him. What about you? Are you married?"

"Not yet mom. I've always wanted you to attend my wedding so I couldn't get married."

"My child, I'm here now. I'll attend your wedding if you buy me a pretty dress." She smiled. I had forgotten how pretty and contagious my mom's smile is like. She looks so much like Iyana.

"Definitely mom. You'll be more beautiful than me."

"I don't want to outshine the bride. Where's your little sister Kaya?"

"Kaya is staying in Gauteng with JoJo. She's still in school and is studying to become a psychologist."

"My children are shining. I'm a proud mom right now. Did you end up being a lawyer?"

"Yes mom. It was your dream for me and I love it so much."

"It suits you. You always used to argue a lot and i wanted you to put your talent to good use. You're even beautiful." I smiled. My phone rang and it was Amber. I put it on loudspeaker.

"Amber you won't—" She interrupted me.

"Afeziwe Jali get here now. The baby is coming!" She screamed on the phone.

"Coming!" I hanged up.

"Mom,Ambe is pregnant and in labour. We need to get her to the hospital. Will you come with me?"

"Yes. I would love to. My poor daughter." She stood up and I held her hand as we left the cottage and headed to the mansion.

Ambesiwe was sitting on the couch screaming as her helper held her hand. The kids were by the stairs and Karabo was crying.

"Mom?" She was very shocked to see me walking with mom.

"My child." Mom knelt down to hug her and my sensitive sister was already in tears.

"I can't believe this."

"You better believe it,Ambe." Mom said smiling.

"Now please get me to the hospital before I give birth here."

"I'll fetch my car—"

"No call my driver. Tell him to park at the front and also call Karabo's driver. Tell him to bring him to the hospital because he won't stop crying. Your kids can come as well." I picked her phone and called the two drivers.

Mom and I helped her get inside the car and the kids got in their own car. They were going to buy ice cream before they come to the hospital. Hopefully our baby would be born by then.

We drove to the private hospital where they've been expecting Ambe. They took her to the labour ward and I sat at the waiting room with mom.

"I need to call her husband." I told mom and took out my phone and dialled Baleseng's number.

"Wifey!" He answered. Baleseng is that guy who's a talker and he's friendly. He gets along with everybody.

"Hubby, get down here. Your wife is in labour."

"Damn,I hope it's a boy. I'm taking the first flight to South Africa tommorow."

"A boy? Sere wants a best friend."

"Your daughter will bully my daughter." I laughed.

"Sere is such a sweetheart."

"You can fool someone not me. Tell her I'm bringing her a present."

"Not another present. You're spoiling her."

"That's what happens when she has more than two parents. Where's my son I want to say hi."

"Went to buy ice cream. I will call you once he's here."

"Please be there for our wife. I'm coming soon."

"I will hubby. Have a good night."

"It's daylight here."

"Where the hell are you?" He laughed.

"Good bye Afeziwe." I hanged up.

"You seem close." Mom commented.

"We are. You're going to love him mom."

"Where's your fiance?"

"Lubanzi? He's busy with some stuff. I'll introduce you soon."

An hour later the kids finally showed up with Karabo's driver.

"Mommy,Karabo said there's a baby coming. Can we meet him?" Sere asked.

"You will. Kids, meet your grandma." Karabo was sitting on the bench next to me and next to him it was Ntsiko while Sere stood in front of me.

"Is she the one who never talks?" Sere asked and I shut her mouth.

"Be respectful." My mom wasn't offended. She was laughing.

"And what's your name,my child?"

"Serenity, makhulu." She held out her hand and my mom shook it.

"Her other name is Nontsikelelo." I told mom.

"It's my birthday today and I'm getting a baby." She told mom.

"Really? How old are you now?"

"I'm super five!" She yelled.

"She remind me of you. She's definitely your daughter." Everyone says that. I'm sweet. Sere is not.

"And this is Karabo. Kaybee say hi to grandma."

"Hello glandma." He grinned.

"Come to grandma." He stood up and went to my mom. She picked him up and put him on her lap.

"He's very adorable and who's the last child?" She looked at Ntsiko.

"This is Nontsikelelo's half brother, Ntsikelelo. I love him as my son because I'm the only mother he knows."

"You're so kind my child. When a good man comes, you love him with all his baggages."

"I don't see him as a baggage. I love him and he's very innocent."

"You shouldn't see him as a baggage. Ntsiko, come to grandma." Ntsiko stood up and my mom hugged him and kissed his forehead.

A doctor approached us.

"Congratulations, your sister gave birth to a baby girl."

I screamed out of joy.
