Let me go, Mr. Hill [by Shallow South] Chapter 1148 âMy mom can too, and so can Uncle Logan.â Lucas suddenly said angrily, âOh, right. You chopped off Uncle Loganâs finger.â
Shaun immediately regretted that he had brought up martial arts. However, he knew that there were some things he could not avoid. âYouâre right. Iâll chop off one of my fingers to pay him back later.â
Lucas frowned. âStop lying.â
âI could cut it now if I wasnât afraid of scaring the people in the restaurant.â
Shaun said without hesitation, âLoganâs martial art isnât as skillful as mine. Even your mom is no match for me either. If you donât believe me, ask your mom.â
The father and son turned their attention to Catherine, who had not spoken.
Catherine glared at Shaun. She had practiced martial arts for three years, yet he said that she was no match for him. Was he trying to shame her?
Those beautiful eyes made Shaunâs mind wander slightly. âBut thereâs an aspect Iâm no match for your mom.â
âWhat is it?â Lucas could not help but ask. Shaun coughed into his fist, his eyes ambiguous.
Only then did Catherine understand, and her face heated up. She could not resist stepping on Shaunâs foot fiercely under the table.
How dare he act immodestly in front of the children.
It clearly hurt, but Shaunâs thin lips curled up sweetly. âThatâs a secret between your mommy and me.â
Lucas looked at his flushed-faced mother and was confused.
In his memory, he had seldom seen his mommy like that. She looked pretty like a rose with the morning dew.
She was never like this when she was with Uncle Wesley either.
Lucas frowned as he was lost in thought.
Shaun continued, âAlso, I can teach you how to swim.â
âI know how to swim too,â Lucas said disdainfully.
âThen, do you know freestyle, butterfly stroke, breaststroke, or the backstroke?â Shaun raised his brows. To him, those things were just childâs play. He did not expect that one day, he would be reduced to using these means to please his child. âI know all of them.â
Lucas pursed his lips in annoyance. He only knew the breaststroke. âLiar. How can one person know so much?â
âItâs because Iâm athletic.â Shaun held his glass of water proudly.
âItâs no wonder youâre so simple -minded, â Lucas muttered.
âAhem.â Shaun choked on the water. Catherine could not help but laugh.
âAlso, I know the law,â Shaun added. âYou shouldnât underestimate law. This is a law-based society, so if we understand the law, we can deal with people who hurt you without using our fists.â
Lucas said faintly, âReally? If I learned about the law, the first person I would want to deal with is you.â
âBut Iâm the worldâs top lawyer. Ordinary lawyers canât be used to deal with me.â Shaun smiled faintly. âBut if such a day comes, I can only congratulate you for outperforming the teacher. Iâd be pleased.â
âWhat else do you know?â Lucas asked.
Shaun put down his class and said seriously, âWhen you go to school in the future, I can teach you math, chemistry, physics, biology. I know everything.â
âThe teacher can teach me, and my mom can too,â Lucas argued.
âThe teacher will only teach you the basics, and the teacher doesnât know as much as me. As for your momâ¦â Shaun looked at Catherine and laughed. âMs. Jones, do you know what the chemical composition of water is?â
Catherine was speechless.
Who would know such an obscure topic?
Shaun smiled and said to Lucas, âSee? Thatâs the most simple and basic knowledge of chemistry, yet your mom doesnât remember. In terms of learning, what do you think she can teach you?â
Lucas looked at his mother with a hint of disdain.
