After Forrest parked his car, he entered his apartment furiously.
The apartment was in complete silence, and only when he walked to his bedroom did he hear the sound of water pattering in the bathroom.
Jessica was taking a shower inside. After she came back, she had realized that her jacket was drenched from the rain. She had also heard the footsteps outside the door, knowing that Forrest had returned.
She quickly showered. However, she did not expect that the door of the bathroom would suddenly kick open, and Forrest barged in witha look as cold as the wind in the winter. Not only was she embarrassed, but she also shuddered in spite of herself.
âForrest, get out. I-â
Before she could finish her sentence, Forrest pushed her to the cold wall and kissed her madly. She was dazed. By the time she came to her senses, she shoved him away. âWhat are you doing? Iâm in the shower.â
âI want to check on you.â Forrest pinched her chin firmly, his eyes fiery.
âWhat?â
Jessica widened her eyes, not knowing what he was saying.
However, Forrest did not give her any more chances.
During their wedding night, he was very rough, but compared to his current behavior, he was considered gentle that night.
The already exhausted Jessica felt nothing but pain toward the end.
The pain made her feel as though her body was dismembered. No matter how she tried to beg him, it was pointless.
When the night ended, she moved her body in pain to see that the bedsheet was stained with blood.
She was in excruciating pain. Besides her body, her heart was in pain too.
Was it because she forced him to marry her that he refused to treat her like a human?
Jessica raised her head and could not help but slap him.
Forrest had seen the blood as well. Caught off guard, he was slapped in the face before he could shun it.
The pain on his face made him squint, and he hurriedly looked up with an aura of coldness surrounding him. Then, he clutched her wrist. â How dare you slap me?â
âWas I wrong?â Jessica glared at him furiously. â Forrest, I admit that I am despicable. I shouldnât have forced you to marry me. Although I did this all because I love you, I realize now that I was wrong.
Perhaps you'll] hate me even more if I keep forcing our relationship on you. Tonight, Iâve learned my lesson, and I donât want to risk my life for your sake. If you really hate me so much, I wonât force you. Iâll move out tomorrow.â
âMove out?â
For some reason, Forrest felt a sharp pain in his heart and roared uncontrollably, âJessica, what do you take me for? You were the one who wanted to get married and move in. And now, you want to move out just like that? Do you take me for a toy that you can do anything to? Or is it because youâve found a new toy and donât care about me anymore?â
He tightened his clutch on Jessica's chin, and the pinch hurt her a lot.
âLet go of me.â
She pushed him away forcefully. âIâve never taken you for a toy. Youâre the one who has been treating me unreasonably. Didnât you notice the blood on the bedsheet? Forrest, you donât even treat me as a human.â
âYou know why Iâve been treating you unreasonably, donât you?â
Forrestâs gaze was so cold that it seemed like he had been poisoned. âI never thought youâd be that kind of person. We've just been married for a few days, yet you canât wait to go to another manâs house. You even lied to me, saying that you have a social function and work to attend to. I alone canât satisfy you, huh?â
« soe â
Jessicaâs pale lips trembled.
She could not get her head around what he was saying at all.
