Let me go, Mr. Hill [by Shallow South] Chapter 553 Sarah secretly tightened her grip on her glass. She then suddenly lowered her head and coughed.
âAre you okay? Is your throat still unwell?â Rodney immediately asked out of concern.
Catherine said, âOh dear, has your wound not healed yet? Itâs better to rest at home if youâre not feeling well.â
âCatherine, have you said enough?â Rodney could not tolerate her anymore. He warned, âYou should get this straight. Sarah was strangled for the sake of treating Shaunâs illness. As his wife, not only are you being ungrateful, but youâre even being sarcastic. Can you cut it out already?â
Catherine felt aggrieved and pouted. âYoung Master Snow, how can you say that? That day, you even said that Shaun and Ms. Neeson still have feelings for each other and told me to back off. In that case, itâs not my place to be grateful because she did it willingly.â
When Catherine said that, panic flashed through Rodneyâs eyes. The way he glared at her was as if he wanted to eat her alive.
Chase and Shaunâs expressions changed, especially Shaunâs. His brows were oozing with anger.
âRodney, when did you look for her and say those words to her?â
âRodney, you shouldnât have done that.â Sarah sighed worriedly. âIâve told you before. Shaunic and I have already moved on.â
âFine, itâs all my fault. Iâm going to use the bathroom.â
Rodney kicked a chair out of the way. He stood up and went to the bathroom.
âIâll go talk to him.â Sarah followed him hurriedly.
Shaunâs face was full of frustration. He regretted bringing Catherine along. âMy dear, why didnât you tell me that Rodney had gone to see you? If I knew about it, I wouldâve helped you give him a harsh lesson.â
âThatâs right, Rin. Rodney is just clueless. Donât take his words to heart.â Chase then changed the topic. âHow about we play a game of pool?â
Catherine nodded. âOkay.â
She walked toward the pool table with Chase. Shaun said worriedly, âYouâre pregnant. Itâs not suitable for you to play pool. Why donât I play while you watch from the side?â
Catherine frowned, and Chase said hastily, âShaun, can you not kill the mood? Weâre not even playing soccer. Did you call Catherine out just for her to sit there and act out a soap opera with Sarah?â
Soap operaâ¦
Catherine almost burst out laughing.
âAlright, Iâll be careful. You can go to the side. Donât disturb us.â Catherineâs tone was calm.
Shaun was indescribably frustrated. Her attitude toward him was worse than her attitude toward Chase.
âMy dear, what do you want to eat? Iâll order it for you.â
âAnything.â
After Shaun finally left, Chase stroked his pool cue and said softly, âRin, you mustâve been having a hard time lately right?â
Tears welled up in Catherineâs eyes and she almost cried. However, she held it back and did not expose her emotions. âYou donât blame me? I thought you would be on Sarahâs side too.â
âIâm not that close with Sarah. Youâre the one who comes from the same hometown as me, after all,â
Chase said gleefully, âOnlookers see most of the game. I noticed just now that Sarah isnât that simple of a person.â
Catherine looked at him, astonished.
âRodney likes Sarah too much. It has always been like this. In his eyes, Sarah is a perfect little princess while Chester treats her like a sister. As for Shaun, his heart does carry guilt toward Sarah, but Iâm very sure that he doesnât love Sarah anymore,â Chase said seriously.
âIt doesnât matter.â Catherine smiled faintly.
Chase frowned. âYouâ¦â
âIâm tired. I just want to love myself and my babies more,â Catherine replied.
