Let me go, Mr. Hill [by Shallow South] Chapter 627 Shaun devoured the pasta in one go yet he was still feeling hungry.
He walked to the bathroom only to find Catherine washing her clothes in the sink. On second thought, he decided to leave.
The man drove past a busy street and saw a restaurant specializing in pasta. He went in and ordered from the menu yet he spat out the food after one bite. âThe pasta you make tastes horrible,â he shouted angrily.
âAre you here to pick a fight?â The owner of the store flew off the handle. âIâve been running my restaurant for more than a decade and everyone here loves my pasta. Youâre the first to complain.â
âThatâs right. The pasta here is the best in the whole neighborhood.â One of the guests could not help saying.
ââ¦â
Shaun did not know what to say.
What had Catherine done to his appetite?
What did it matter if this owner had been running the restaurant for more than a decade? The fact remained that the food Catherine made tasted better.
â¦
Seaside villa.
Sarah greeted him while wearing sexy lingerie. She appeared surprised to see Shaun coming home empty-handed. âWhy are you home this late?â
âI was working overtime,â he instinctively blurted out upon remembering everything that had happened at Catherineâs place earlier.
âI see.â Sarah felt her heart sinking. âDid Catherine threaten you in the meeting this morning?â
âYup.â
Shaun was suddenly reminded of something. He had gone to look for Catherine just now to argue about the incident this morning yet he forgot about everything after entering her house.
A feeling of guilt washed over him. âSarah, sorry, Iââ
âStop it. I know you did it for my own god.â She threw herself into his arms. âIâm just worried that Catherine will steal you away from me. When todayâs meeting ended, she told me that sheâll ruin everything I care about.â
âRuin everything?â His eyes revealed indifference. âWho does she think she is?â
If he still felt slightly guilty for that woman before, then the feeling was all gone by now.
A woman like her did not deserve his kindness.
No wonder she was determined about not getting a divorce. It was because she did not intend to do so at all.
Sarah let out a sigh. âI advised her to let go of everything but she wouldnât listen. Whatâs the point of falling out with everyone? She needs to know that many companies are only collaborating with Hudson Corporation out of respect for you.â
An idea popped into his mind as he patted her on the head. âYouâre right. It would be a disaster to Hudson Corporation if the companies refuse to work with her. Itâs up to her to decide if she wants to sign the divorce papers to save the corporation.â
âShaunic, are you thinking ofâ¦â Sarah bit her lip. âThis doesnât feel right.â
âSilly, everyone knows that weâre getting married this year. What will happen to you if I donât divorce her?â He embraced her tenderly.
The woman smiled slyly in his arms.
After heading upstairs, she asked casually while getting a fresh set of clothes from the closet. âShaunic, when will you have time to go shopping with me? I want to replace my old lingerie.â
âDidnât I give you a credit card before? Just use it all you want.â He headed straight into the bathroom.
Sarah felt uneasy all of a sudden.
Joanne would not have been wrong.
Who else was he buying lingerie for if not for herself?
Catherine? Was it another woman?
