Let me go, Mr. Hill [by Shallow South] Chapter 854 Catherine woke up the next day with a slightly upset stomach due to the few pints of beer she had last night.
When she got up and washed her face, she received a call from Shaun. His voice was low. âWhere did you go last night?â
âI had something to do with a friendâ¦â
âIs that something drinking at a bar with him?â Shaun gritted his teeth and said gloomily, âGo read the news about yourself, Ms. Jones. Iâll reach your place in ten minutes. You better give me an explanation.â
Then, he hung up.
Catherine was shocked and used her phone to search for her news. The latest one was: [Yule Corporationâs heir talking and laughing with her mysterious boyfriend, behaving intimately.]
The photo was of Logan and blurred figures of hers in the bar.
She narrowed her eyes and rubbed her brows. Fortunately, Loganâs face was not exposed, otherwise, it would be troublesome. After all, Logan was the only assistant she could trust completely.
These reporters really had nothing better to do. She was not some kind of public figure.
It seemed like she had to give them a good beating.
She had just changed her clothes when someone knocked on the door violently.
When she opened the door, Shaunâs handsome and cold face brought upon an eerie chill.
âWho was that man?â He was going crazy with anger. He cared about her so much and held her all the time, but she went behind his back to go to a bar with another man. What was even worse was that he could tell from the manâs back that he was not bad-looking. His physique was good too.
It was not easy for him to get rid of Isaac Stringer, and now there was another random man.
âCatherine Jones, canât you give me peace of mind? Will you die if you donât provoke men all day long?
Or are you saying that I canât satisfy you?â
He grabbed her shoulders angrily.
Catherineâs shoulders hurt from his grip. She looked at the man in front of her, and Loganâs words last night came to mind. She should control her feelings. âShaun Hill, I did agree to be with you, but thereâs no law that says I canât have contact with the opposite sex.â
Her face was full of indifference, completely different from the shy and hot appearance in bed yesterday. Shaun felt like a bucket of cold water was poured on him, chilling him.
âCatherine Jones, since youâre with me, keeping a distance from the opposite sex is the basic principle of being a girlfriend.â
Shaun said with a cold face, âI asked you out yesterday, but youâd rather spend time with an unknown man. What do you take me for?â
âIf you donât want to believe me, then thereâs nothing I can do.â
Catherine turned and took out the milk from the refrigerator indifferently.
Shaun glared at her back. âIf you donât give me an explanation, Iâll investigate that man and find out just who he is.â
Then, he turned around angrily and walked out.
âStop,â Catherine called him, her voice rising in anger. âAre you done? You investigate the people around me at the drop of a hat. You investigated Isaac before and now youâre investigating someone else. Shaun Hill, if you wonât even give me a little respect, then weâll break up.â
Shaun was shocked. His face was covered with hostility and he was so angry that he punched the door, making a heavy muffled sound.
However, Catherine simply poured a cup of milk with a calm face, completely unaffected by his anger.
For a moment, Shaun was a little taken aback.
