Sana stared at Sid who was checking the files she had to complete.
Rahil stood at Sid with a proud look and said- Sir we completed it in the given days.
Sid looked up for a moment, cocked his brows and said we huh?
He closed the file and looked at sana and said, good work. You both are now in the emergency ward.
Rahil gasped and said- E-emergency?
Sid- Ofcourse, it's very important to know if the doctor doesn't panics and helps correctly.
Sana meanwhile had her eyes shinning, she clapped her hands in delight nodding.
Sana squealed happily thinking god I am closer to becoming a doctor.
Sana entered the emergency ward and her smile dropped. All the flowers dancing around her head, died.
There were compartments where people were whining in pain, some of them were hissing, some bleeding, some were screaming while some just stared at the wall with a lifeless expression.
She gulped hard, she knew she had to face all this but this was just too shocking for her.
She shook her head and thought I can do this.
She hugged her coat tighter and changed her stance.
Just she saw an old man coming on a stretcher where is he screaming for a boy, supposedly his son.
Raj, raj my son! Please please come to me. I- I want to see your face. Please beta! Please.
Sana asked the nurse, where's the son?
The nurse looked at her and said- He was found on the road, alone.
A whiplash of emotions ran through her, just when she felt a warm hand on her shoulder.
She looked at the side and saw Sid's hand on her shoulder comforting her very discreetly while he looked at the scene infront.
Sana bit her lip and gulped down the lump.
Sid- Okay so Ms. Gill watch him, he has fallen down- what do you think we should give him?
Sana looked at the old man who had horribly scrapped his knees, his arms and his head ans started to talk to him professionally on what to do.
But the old man didn't care about the wounds, he whimpered like a child and said- beta raj kaha hai?
Sana looked at him with hurt in her eyes and whispered- Sir thorda dard hoga-
The man bawled and said- Bahut jyada horrha hai beta! Woh mera beta hai usske liye maine bachpan se kya nahi kiya, main 2 din mein Ek baar khata tha jise Woh khaa sake.. mai usse Itna pyaar karta hun... please Ek baar dekhne do usse! Ek baar.
Sana while controlling her emotions, kept on cleaning his wounds while Sid looked at sana with his eyes clouded with a strong emotion- he was feeling very protective of her.
Sid gave him some injections which made him drowsy and he slept.
Suddenly a man came running in and asked the nurses- There's an old man who got hurt- I am his son, Raj.
Sana's head whipped at his direction and she glared at the man but didn't say a word.
Sana meanwhile went to the next patient but kept her ears open at what the man was doing.
She angrily thought of ways to stab that man with the equipment's she was holding.
Sana excused herself when she saw the man getting out.
She tapped his shoulder and with a smile said- Are you Mister Raj?
The guy nodded.
Sana's smile dropped in a grave expression and she said- How dare you drop your father?
The guy- Maam- listen-
Sana- No, how dare you abandon him? Huh? He did so much for you-
The guy interrupted- Maam this is wrong you shouldn't-
Sana- WHATS wrong huh? Kyun aaye to take your will from him-
The guy shouted with tears falling from his eyes- Maam you don't know anything! Don't say something rubbish! I love my father to death! I was working when I got to know and had to beg to my friends to give some money so he could be admitted to this hospital! We don't have much money so I went to arrange for that! I love my father- so much.
Sana looked at the boy in shock and gulped.
Sana very softly patted his back and said- Oh- okay sorry I just-
The man sobbed and said- Please stop watching those dramatic shows.
Sana looked at him in guilty and said- Show me your phone. And open it.
The man looked at her in shock but gave it to her.
She did something and gave it back to him.
The man was confused until there was a message, your bank has been credited with xxxx amount of money from this bank.
The guy looked at her in shock and said- No- no please this is- I can't take it.
Sana- it's not even much! Don't worry.. um take it as an apology? And please don't tell anyone I would loose my job.
The guy cried and thanked her again and again but Sana quickly waved her hand and asked him to go and pay.
Sana was walking back to the room when she stopped Sid standing outside with his arms crossed.
Sana tried not to look at him and walked when he said- So to how many people would you keep paying in this hospital? Every patient who doesn't have money huh?
Sana looked at him and gulped.
Sana- I- I would help anyone if I'm capable of, with coat or without the coat. I'm sorry if it hurt your feelings but I can't stop myself.
She walked inside while a smile played on his lips and he thought could you be even more lovable ms gill?
The nurse informed Sana about the older man having some wounds near his crotch.
Sana nodded and said- Please open his gown while I disinfect that.
Suddenly sid came in and asked- what are you doing?
The nurse opened the string making the man go naked and Sid quickly covered her eyes making her gasp in shock.
Sana- W-what are you doing?
Sid- You can't see it!
Sana- What are you saying? I'm a doctor!
She removed his hands, but he pushed her out and said- I'll handle him go see the kid wailing there.
Sana- You're so immature!
Sid crossed his arms and said- Did you say something?
Sana giggled nervously and said- I meant you are so mature woah!
Sid slapped his forehead and thought why did you get jealous from an old man? And oh god now I have to go near his cr- I'm a doctor it's okay It's cool chill- shit yaar.
After the work, he came out and saw Sana giggling holding a little boy in her arms who just got stitches.
Sana- You look so cute with this pink bandage!
The little boy blushed and said- I- I do?
Sid clenched his jaw thinking how the boy sat in her lap and was hugged by her. He imagined how he would be holding her with her sitting on his lap with her sweet fragrance covering them both.
He sniffed but then suddenly scrunched his nose in disgust due to some pungent smell and heard a nurse say- get the adult diapers for the ward 3, he shiitted on the bed.
Sid shook his head with a sigh.
Sana's working hours was completed and she had to say, she was really very tired.
Just when her mother called.
Sana- Yup what's up?
Mother- I have set you up on this blind date-
Sana- No mom it's enough! I don't want it! You know I have just started to work-
Mother- Your age is running away beta, no one will marry you past that age.
Sana- Running? Meri age athlete hai kya? And chalo koi nahi mila mere Ek ward mei 60 year old uncle hai who has memory loss and thinks me of his wife- hahah
Mother- it's not funny! And if you don't go then I'll never talk to you.
Sana- Mom this is not fair-
Mother- Everything is fair! The boy is so handsome and he's so amazing- he's-
Sana- Whatever I'll meet him, when ?
Mother- AMAZING! It's today and you can't say no and I'll text you the adress.
Sana groaned as she was tired but couldn't say a word.
Sid walked in with his bag and said- Should I drop you?
Sana- Um no no! I'll go bye!
Sid- Why are you in a hurry?
Sana- Umm- actually- um yeah! My bestfriend got into a huge breakup thingy so she's very sad and I need to be there for her.
Sid looked at her with suspicion but nodded.
Sana quickly drove home, wanting to end this arrange marriage thing quickly. She took a shower and looked at the place to see what kind of clothes she should wear, homeless? Sexy? Sweet? No efforts? Effortless?
Because that place was a very costly one, she picked out a red body hugging dress with covered her knees and had a cute backless with her hair open and straightened.
She applied a soft nude lipstick and curled up her eyelashes.
She sprayed her favourite sent and walked out in her favourite red heels.
She drove to the place and looked at the extremely fancy restaurant.
She scoffed okay so my mom this time found something stinking rich. I'll make a hole in his wallet today.
Sana was ushered inside to her table which was reserved and sat down.
The guy was late.
She sighed and ordered a cocktail for her because why not?
20 mins in and Sana got fustrated,
She angrily looked at her side to take out her phone when she heard a voice- I am sorry to keep you waiting but-
Her eyes widened at the horrifying familiarity of the voice and she whipped her head at the man and they both shouted- YOU!!!!
10 minutes later, the food was on the table but Sana didn't touch a bite, because she was now being glared by her senior.
Sid- Breakup huh?
Sana gulped and looked down.
Sid- So you are here meeting men to get married?
Sana- No it's-
Sid showed her the palm and clenched his jaw in anger thinking about the fact she was out to meet someone.
Sana- So even you are here to meet someone to marry!
Sid- You don't know-
Sana ignored and started to eat her food.
They both angrily munched their food while sipping the drinks rather aggressively with the jealousy oozing out of both. Them thinking of getting married to someone else was a horrible thing to think of!
Sid paid the bill even after Sana screaming not to.
Sana got up and marched out and was about to sit in her car when her wrist was grabbed harshly and she collided with his hard chest which smelt of apple spice.
Sana- What are you doing?
Sid looked at her with his eyes dark and said- You are thinking of marrying someone else?
Sana- Okay for one instance, what if I am? I can't marry anyone?
Sid gravely said- NO.
Sana- Okay and why is that so?
Sid- because I claimed you as mine.
Sana looked at him confused and said- Cl-claim-
Her words were eaten up by his lips landing on hers making her gasp.
He held her soft tresses pulling her in with his big hands on her waist tightly and they both closed their eyes as they finally tasted each other after years.
