Awe and pride were the two words that Sid was feeling as he looked at Sana who was very effortlessly talking to the clients.
Sana pointed at the waiter who quickly poured some wine into their glasses.
Sana- Before you taste it, smell it Mr. Khanna! It's a classic from 1988!
Mr. Khanna looked at her in shock and smelt it.
He smirked and said- It smells vintage!
He looked at Sid and said- You're wife is just like you! You guys would never keep our glasses empty.
Sana smiled while Sid blushed at the word wife.
Sid- Mr. Khanna please enjoy the party while we excuse ourselves.
Sid held her hand and dragged her out at the side.
Sana- What's up?
Sid- One minute!
Sana didn't say a word and looked at him in confusion.
After 5 minutes, Sid came in holding a plate.
Sid- Eat! I noticed you didn't have a bite since you came here!
Sana's heart fluttered as she remembered her drunk thought once, "why can't I have anyone asking me if ate? If anyone notices that did I eat anything? Why???"
Sana gulped the lump and looked at the man infront of her eyes who very innocently pointed at the food.
Sana smiled and shyly tucked a strand of hair behind her ears when Sid's eye landed on something.
Sana started to eat when she looked up and her eyes widened when she saw that Sid was staring at her eating with a silly smile.
Sid realising it quickly cleared his throat and slowly held his ears which were turning red due to embarrassment.
Sana- Why don't eat too?
Sid- I will, I will! You-
Sana pointed her fork wrapped with some noodles and said- Aaa!?
Sid suprisingly bent down and took a bite and ruffled his hair hiding his red face, because it was the first time he was being fed by a woman other than his mother.
Meanwhile the nanny who was with his mother gasped and said- Didn't Sid always have the problem of never being able to share the same utensil or even bottle of water and now?
His mother smiled softly and said- He's found the one.
The two woman smiled at the couple who was eating together at the side away from everyone.
As the party continued, Sana's eyes landed on a very familiar person and she smiled.
Watching her huge smile, Sid's eyebrows scrunched in confusion and his eyes followed hers.
There was a young man, a little older than Sid but really good looking who was walking towards them.
Sid remembered him as one of their investors.
Sid had put his hand out for a handshake when the man directly went and hugged Sana tightly.
Sid clenched his jaw in annoyance, the man looked at sid and smiled.
Sid fake smiled and said- How do you guys know each other?
Sana- Sid this is my ex fake husband Ruhan!
Sid cocked his eyebrow while the man chuckled and said- Ohhh I was right! I was confused on how could you marry?
Sana grinned and said- You know it.
Ruhan- But you know Sana, the deal is still on the table. We can always get mar-
Sid- OKAY!!! SANA I WANTED YOU TO MEET SOMEONE SO IMPORTANT!!! Like shit we can't miss it!
He grabbed her hand in a haste and looked back at a shocked Ruhan and said- Please excuse me and my fiancé.
Sid pulled her inside his house and stopped.
Sana- Who do we have to meet?
Sid- Who? Meet? OHHH MEET! Y-yeah yeah! I- come!
Sid ushered her inside a room where Sana gasped.
She ran towards the thing and said- You have a CAT???
Sid grinned as she picked up a fluffy white cat.
Sana- Holy shit she's so cute!
Sana cutely booped the cat's nose who purred and cuddled closer to Sana.
Sid- She already likes you!
Sana- Who can resist me?
Sid looked down smiling and whispered I know.
Sana- Huh? You said something?
Sid walked towards her and shook his head into a no.
Sid ran his hands through the cat's fur and looked at sana who again booped the cat's nose.
Sid giggled at her and then without thinking he poked her nose making her look at him in shock.
His eyes widened too at his actions and he said- Wait I think a client is calling me- I'll go! Come afterwards okay?
Sana touched her nose and smiled as the cat meowed or in their language "awwed".
2 days LATER
It was around evening when sana was walking back home when suddenly she froze. Her heart hammered in her chest and her body started to shake.
She quickly started to rummage through her purse looking for something but groaned in annoyance.
She with wobbly steps walked towards the shop near her house with her eyesight getting blurry.
She with shaky hands picked up a bottle of juice and looked at the man at the counter and whispered- I- I am drinking this.
The man said- Miss no! First you have to pay!
Sana- I- I have to, I'll pay.
Before the man could say anything a deep voice said- FUCKING TAKE MY CARD AND SWIPE THE GODDAMN AMOUNT!
The bottle in her hand was snatched from hers and the opened bottle was placed infront of her lips. She with shaky hands quickly drank the juice and sighed while holding her chest.
With her paled face she looked up and saw a very worried Sid looking at her.
He grabbed her shoulders and took her inside his car.
Sana took deep breaths as sid just looked at her.
Sid- Are you okay?
Sana- Yes I am fine!
Sid- If you don't mind me asking what happened to you there? Your lips were turning blue and your face was pale!
Sana sighed and said- I have diabetics, Type 1! So sometimes I do get attacks where I need to have something sweet, you actually saved my life ahah!
Sid looked at her with a pained expression and then held her hand and took her index finger in his hands and pointed at the wounded finger and said- This is why your finger looks like this?
Sana looked at him shocked and said- You noticed?
Sid- Yeah, why wouldn't I? It's filled with needle bruises!
Sana- Yeah, I need to check my sugar everyday hence the needles.
Sid just stared at her when she sighed again and said- don't give me that pity face! I'm used to it! I had it since I was very young.
Sid- I am not pitying you! I am just thinking how brave are you! You never ever talked about it and you act like nothing is wrong.
Sana stared at him with an unrecognisable emotion and gulped.
Sid- Give me two minutes again I'll come back.
Sid ran back and snatched his card from the cashier and with dark eyes said- From tomorrow dare I see you working here. I'll ruin your life! If you ever think who you messed with, just Google the name. It's Sid shukla.
Sid came back inside the car holding 3 huge plastic bags.
Sana- Did you grocery shop?
Sid rubbed the nape of his neck and said- N- No these are chocolates and all kinds of sweets and drinks that ever exist. Please fill it up in your house so you never run out of it.
Sana's heart beat again, but this time painfully. Who was this man? Why does he have to be so sweet?
Sana softly whispered- Thankyou.
Sid- Please! I should Thankyou for everything. Let me drop you.
Sid stopped infront of her building and got out.
Sid was holding the plastic bags going to help her when she said- Don't worry! The gaurd will help me. You go now! Okay? Thankyou so much for today sid! Goodnight.
Just when they heard a voice- You are saying such plain goodnight to your fiancé?
They saw Mr. Khanna coming back from somewhere looking at the two of them in suspicion.
Sid- Mr. Khanna! It's you. The thing is-
Sana before he could think of anything, grabbed the back of his neck and placed her lips softly on his.
Their heart beats ran a marathon as they closed their eyes feeling the fireworks lit up on their skin.
Sana whispered on his lips- Goodnight Baby.
A shiver ran down his spine as he heard those words. His face turned hot as she parted and smiled at him softly.
Sid couldn't say a word just watch her wave at him and Mr. Khanna while his heart hammered loudly.
Mr. Khanna chuckled and said- I can hear your heart beat till here Sid.
Sid's eyes widened as he held his chest in attempt to stop it from reaching the other man's ears who just laughed in return.
Sid closed his eyes and whispered to himself This was so beautiful! I think I can get used to this!
His thoughts were interrupted by a voice who said- BUT I CANT GET USED TO THIS SIR! I TOLD YOU NOT TO PARK YOUR CAR IN THE POARCH-
Sid groaned as he saw a familiar man and banged his head on the car in annoyance when the man again screeched- SIR NO SUCIDE ATTEMPTS ARE ALLOWED IN THIS SOCIETY DIDNT YOU READ THE RULES?
Sid pulled his hair and screamed- AAAAGHHHHHHJHHJH!
