Chapter 19
End of the Omega
Alpha Christopher was now sat in the car talking to the two girls. Theo had managed to slip out of the car when Sonia went to give Amy a hug. A man with greying hair and deep brown eyes walked up to us âHigh Alpha.â He nodded
âBeta Josh, sure youâve heard youâre getting new pack members today.â Damian shook his hand
âYes, Iâm sorry for the reason though High Alpha⦠I guess theyâre going to need lots of looking after?â
âYes, naturally theyâre traumatised.â
âWeâll take good care of them, get them on the mend first. How old are they?â Damian looked down to me at the question realising he didnât know the answer. âTwelve and Fifteen⦠but I would say mentally younger,â I responded solemnly
âAnd how long have they beenâ¦â
âFive years,â Damian answered, Beta Josh whistled a low pitch
âFuck.â We both nodded at him. âTheyâll be looked after and well-loved here, can guarantee itâ.
The back door opened to the car and I could hear Alpha Christopher âCome one then, letâs find you a perfectly princessy film.â He slowly approached them as they began to tentatively take steps, âMaybe Iâve got some ice cream too?â Sonia nodded and grabbed Amyâs hand pulling her. Alpha Christopher slowly led the girls to his house. âCan we have chocolate?â Sonia asked as they disappeared inside. I smiled, Damian was right⦠theyâll be fine here.
I turn around âWhereâs Allianna?â I asked Damian looked around as well
âSheâll be somewhere.â I hummed in response when a noise drew our attention to the Alpha house âWe have children present, out!â with those words Alliannaâs back came out the door, her legs wrapped around someone. âAsh?â Beta Josh asked as the man came a little more into view.
âWhoâs Ash?â I whispered to Damian
âAlpha Christopherâs son⦠Now my dear, that! Is how mates usually react when they first meet.â Damian nudged me âCongrats sister!â he shouted over to her, the pairâs lips locked together, hands doing a little too much wondering for a public area. Allianna gave a dismissive wave behind her as Ash turned, getting closer to us. I could see his cropped blond hair, but not a lot else as the pair appeared to not need to breathe.
âIf heâs Alphaâs son...â
âHeâs the youngest of his sonâs, he has three.â I nodded in understanding âFeel sorry for whoever drives them back⦠whoâs pissed me off recently.â A mischievous smile set firm on his face. I shook my head âRemind me not to get on your bad sideâ I wrapped my arms around his waist
âNot possible,â his chest vibrating against me with his words, âIâm proud of you today, you were the epitome of a Luna, and the perfect High Luna.â He hooked his finger gently under my chin and lifted my head so he could lay a gentle kiss on my lips âReally?â I muttered against him
âYes, youâre perfect.â He deepened the kiss making me unable to respond as my knees weakened and I groaned against him. His tongue easily slipped between my lips, our tongues crashing together in a battle of dominance. He won.
A cough behind us made him break away, I looked behind to see Gregor. âNot wanting to interrupt⦠but High Alpha are we making a move?â
âSecond time youâve interrupted...â Damian commented shooting him a hard glare
âDamian,â I growled a warning to him, he was not making Gregor drive his sister home, he looked to me innocently. âWhat?â
âYou know what.â I glared at him âIâm going to check on the girls before we leave.â I flounced away and into the cottage.
Inside, the only way I could describe it was homely, the entranceway led to a few doors and all the doors were open showing a mismatch of furniture and general nick-nacks. I could hear a TV so moved towards that door peeking inside. Alpha Christopher sat comfortably on a blue sofa. I walked in quietly seeing the girls huddled together on a cream chair. Their eyes glued to the screen which was a cartoon, bowls of ice cream in hand. I smiled to myself before squatting next to Alpha Christopher. âThank you for this,â I whispered, not wanting to disturb the film. âWeâre going to head off, but can I visit? See how theyâre doing?â
âOf course High Luna, Iâm going to keep them here, looks like my youngest wonât need his room any more. Please look after him.â
âWe will, thank you again.â I wanted to hug him but knew that wouldnât be proper. So I squeezed his arm trying to put my gratitude into the gesture.
We drove back home, Damian did make Gregor drive his sister and her new mate⦠Gregor stopped the car behind ours as soon as we pulled up outside our home. He got out his face beetroot red. I guessed he couldnât cope any more as exiting the car I heard numerous moans coming from the back seat. Damian smirked and grabbed my hand âThey physically canât control themselves, Ashâs wolf will be in control⦠and probably so will Alliannaâsâ
âIs it not embarrassing for you⦠youâre her brother.â He shrugged
âItâs natural, male wolf, with Alpha blood Iâll add, and female original. We wonât see them for a few weeks.â
We made something quick to eat; spaghetti. âSo, what do you know about Ash?â I asked before putting a forkful of spaghetti in my mouth, I made a small groan of pleasure at the taste. Damian just seemed to make flavours happen with no effort âEr⦠last time I saw him he was about fifteen⦠So I donât know that much. If Iâd known he was born on the eclipse⦠I may have had an inkling though.â
âI wonder why the moon goddess chose your mates born on the same day⦠I presume thatâs what youâre saying?â
âDo you not know?â He cocked his head questioningly to me
âKnow what?â I took a large bite of the pasta, how does this taste so good?
âWeâre twinsâ¦â I choked on my food âAllianna of course likes to rub it in that sheâs five minutes older than me.â I swallowed and coughed
âI⦠had no idea,â I croaked while I grabbed a drink. âWhat else donât I know?â
âNot sure⦠what do you want to know?â He cocked his head again as he ate
âHow old were you when the Fae cursed you?â
âTwenty-eight, Nicos was twenty-twoâ
âWhat were your parentsâ names?â
âStuart and Eliza, they were loving and caring parents that encouraged us to be independent, including Allianna,â his voice softened at the mention of his parents,
âDo you miss them?â
âOf course. Decades feel like years⦠so, it doesnât feel that long ago they were alive.â I smile, of course who wouldnât miss their parents? They sounded like wonderful people, especially when they probably shaped the gentleman Damian was.
I miss mine. I wondered if Iâll get to see them again? Well⦠more if theyâll ever accept me. Will they ever want to see me again? âYou OK?â Damianâs voice pulled me out of my questions
âYeah, sorry.â I grinned before taking another bite.
I decided to ask the question thatâs been burning and bugging me âWhy do you and Nicos fight so much?â Damian looked up to me, his eyebrows drawing together,
âWe donât fight that much.â
âIâve barely seen you together not fighting, the only time you havenât argued was when the Fae did their creepy cold magic.â
âWe bicker, sure. Heâs always hated I was given the Alpha wolf, not that Iâm much into rank. Here, Nicos and Allianna have as much power as I do⦠every now and then heâll try and show off in front of other Alphaâs⦠I donât know, little brother syndrome I suppose.â He shrugged.
I couldnât think of any other questions after that. I suppose it made sense if it was little brother trying to outdo big brother. But something didnât add up, I knew they loved each other. There was no denying that. But it wasnât always Nicos instigating. I changed the subject to break the silence, âI canât wait to see your wolf.â He smiled
âFull moon in two days. I canât wait. You definitely have a treat in store.â
âPfft, I know you donât⦠my wolf is as boring as they come⦠brown⦠brown and a bit more brown.â
