The truth comes out
You are the Reason (Johnny x reader)
(Y/N) and Buster were cleaning the stage as her phone rang. She picked up.
"Hello?"
"Hello, am I talking to (Y/N) Moon?"
"Yes, indeed. With who am I speaking?"
"Hello, here is the police. You filed a robbery report five years ago, didn't you?"
"Yes, I did."
"Well from your description, those thieves had blue overalls and bunny masks, right?"
"Right."
"We have arrested three gorillas who match your description."
(Y/N)'s eyes widened at the news that she let the broom fall, "Really?"
"Yes, we want you to come for a comparison."
"Of course, I'll be there in 20 minutes."
"We'll wait for you."
"Thank you. Bye."
She hung up.
"Buster, I have to go to the police station. There is something in need to do."
"Does it have something to do with what happened five years ago."
She nodded.
"Okay, go on, sis. I ask Miss Crawly to do the rest of the cleaning."
"Thank you bro."
At the station, (Y/N) was in front of the glass as the officers brought two of the three gorillas into the interrogation room. One officer came in and stood next to her.
"Take your time, Miss."
I looked at them but I wasn't sure it was them.
"I would like to see them with their masks on."
The officer nodded, "Put the masks on.", he ordered.
The gorillas put on the masks and now (Y/N) was sure.
"Those two took my backpack and stole my phone and wallet. But didn't you said there were three."
"Indeed but the third one has a visitor right now."
"I want to see him."
At the visiting booth, prisoners were talking to their families.
Booth number two:
"No, Mom, I have not made any friends. What do you thinks this is, kindergarten?", a bull talked to his mother.
Booth number three:
"If you hadn't squealed to the cops, I wouldn't be in here right now.", a stork scolded his baboon friend.
Booth number four:
"Honey, when are you getting out?", an antelope spoke.
"I'm only gonna be in here for few years.", her husband, the crocodile said.
"Well, where'd you hide the money?", she asked but he shook his head not saying where he hide it.
Booth number five:
A beaver was sleeping while listening his girlfriend, a cat, who didn't stop talking.
Booth number six:
Johnny was talking with his father.
"Where were you?", Rick asked.
"Um, well, the thing is, I went to get gas ...", Johnny lied.
"Don't lie to me!", Rick yelled.
"Um, I was at a rehearsal."
"Rehearsal? For what?"
Johnny sighed finally telling the truth, "I was at a singing contest."
Rick looked at him in disbelief.
"Look, Dad ... I'm sorry, I just don't want to be in your gang. I want to be a singer."
"Singer?"
Before Johnny was about to tell him about the prize, (Y/N) came in the room.
"The prisoner is at number six.", the officer pointed.
(Y/N) nodded, "Thank you."
She walked to the booth then stopped seeing a familiar gorilla in black leather jacket talking to the prisoner listening to their conversation.
"Look, Dad, no, it's okay. I can get the bail money. There's a prize. It's $100,000.", Johnny said but his dad slammed the phone on the table having enough.
"How did I end up with a son like you, eh? You're nothing like me. You never were and you never will be.", Rick walked away.
"I'll get you out! Dad, wait! I'll get the money. I promise!", Johnny yelled, his hands on the glass.
(Y/N) couldn't believe it. Johnny was related to that gorilla who ambushed her with the other two.
"How could I be so blind?"
Recognising the voice, Johnny turned to see (Y/N) in front of him.
"Miss Moon?"
(Y/N) just walked towards the exit while telling the officer that she recognised the third one as the leader. Johnny followed after her.
"Miss Moon, wait."
At the exit, (Y/N) came out and wanted to run but Johnny stopped by running in front of her.
"Miss Moon, I can explain.
"I don't want any of your explanation. That conversation was already enough." (Y/N) yelled
Realising what she had done, tears started to fall.
"What have I done? I'm so stupid. I'm choosing you to finally fight against my past and now, I'm finding out that you are related to that gorilla who ambushed me five years."
Johnny's eyes widened, "My father ambushed you?"
"I can't do this anymore."
"What do you mean?"
"For your backup song, Miss Crawly is going to help you now because I don't want to help someone anymore who is related to someone who destroyed my whole teenage life. And after the singing contest, I want you to leave and I don't want to see you ever again."
(Y/N) walked past Johnny but stopped, "And if you think you can win the prize to bail your father out, I can already tell you won't win this contest because someone who sings to bail someone out, isn't a singer."
Johnny watched how (Y/N) walked around the corner but then he groaned and leaned against the wall sliding down on the floor with his hands on his head.
