Chapter 5

From 1,000 to 100,000 $

You are the Reason (Johnny x reader)

Back in the theater, Miss Crawly typed on her computer.

"Miss Crawly?", Buster called her from the speaker.

She pushed the button to speak.

"Hell0?", she said the splutters because of the fan blowing in her face making the glass eye in her eye socket roll, "Uh, who is it?"

Buster tapped his pen on his forehead in annoyance.

"It's me. Your boss, Mr.Moon", he said as he looked at her from the window of his office.

"Oh, hello, Mr. Moon."

"There we go. Now, I need you to add the following information to our publicity flyers."

"Yes, sir."

"The winner of the singing contest will receive a prize of ...", he looked inside his cash box, "935$. Hmm. Gonna need more than that. Just a second."

He jumped of his chair picking up things from his office to increase the prize. Like a radio, a carpet, a helmet and even his watch which he placed them all in a chest.

"There. $1,000. You got that?"

Miss Crawly typed on her computer what Buster instructed.

"Uh, $1,000...", she spluttered again because of the fan.

This time, her glass eye fell out as she tried to catch but suddenly it fell down towards the computer keys directly landed two times on the zero key so that the prize on the computer showed $100,000 instead of $1,000.

She tried to catch it again but it fell on the floor rolling under the piano seat.

"Print'em up on every single sheet of paper we have left and let's spread the word right away, okay?", Buster ordered through his speaker.

"Yes, uh, yes, sir.", Miss Crawly said pressing the key so that the printer printed out the flyers not realizing the typing mistake.

Buster looked out of the window and inhaled deeply.

"Ah, the winds of change. Yep, when this show's a hit, I'm gonna get you a fresh coat of paint.", he said to the theater.

"Buster!", (Y/N) entered his office, "The stage is clean for tomorrow."

"Thank you (Y/N)."

Both entered Miss Crawly's office.

"How are we doing with those flyers, Miss Crawly?", Buster asked.

"Oh, yes, sir. We're all good to go here.", she said holding the whole stack of flyers.

"Oh my god. Do you need help, Miss Crawly?", (Y/N) asked worried.

"No, thank you, sweetie. I can do this."

Suddenly the fan blew in her direction making the flyers fly out the window.

"Miss Crawly, no! No, no, no, no, no, no!", Buster shouted.

"Oopsie-daisy."

"Oh, well, I guess that's one way to spread the word.", (Y/N) said.

The flyers flew over the whole town making the animals gasp.

-----------------

Ash and Lance were waiting from the tram as it arrived blowing the flyers into the quills. Ash took one out of his boyfriend's quills looking at it.

"Hey, Lance, look at this."

Too focused on the flyer, she didn't realised that Lance climbed on the tram, the doors closing behind him.

"Ash, babe, hey!", Lance shouted for her as the tram rode away.

-----------------

The sirens of the police cars wailed as they passed a gas station which was actually the hideout of Johnny's father. Johnny quickly shut down the garage door as a single flyer landed next to him. He took it reading with wide eyes but quickly hid it in his jacket as he heard his father talk with his buddies behind him.

-----------------

Meena hummed to the music on her headphones while watering the plants. Then her mother tapped her making her stop.

"Meena!"

Her grandfather held up the flyer which shocked her.

-----------------

A nun was looking at the flyer but she shook her head not interested in the competition and threw the flyer down. It landed directly on Mike who played a bad note on his saxophone. He pushed the flyer of him.

"What do you think you?", he read the flyer, his eyes widened at the prize.

-----------------

Rosita was on the phone while doing the dishes.

"Uh-huh. Yeah."

But then the flyer appeared on her window. She read it then smiled not realising that the phone fell in the sink full of water.
