Entering the countless boutiques, Lilith enjoyed her time in the town and before long it had already reached noon.

It was then that Rowan suggested that they take a break and have lunch at the Florae Café, once Lilith stepped foot in the café, she was left in amazement at the beautiful décor of the building, it resembled an enchanted garden with fairy waiter and waitresses flying all over the place delivering food.

It was then a handsome waiter came up to them and had elegantly greeted the two, "Welcome Sir and Miss to the Florae Café, would you like to follow me to your seats."

"Yes please, thank you," Lilith said happily with excitement as if she was a small child at a candy store. Her response gained a chuckle from Rowan as he quietly followed taking note of Lilith's unusual happiness.

Once Lilith and Rowan were seated the waiter just told them to ring the bell when their ready, before excusing himself to receive other guests. It took them a short while to decide on what they wanted to order and once they had done it the room was enveloped by a weird silence.

Lilith was the first one to break the silence as she looked up from her already delivered floral teacup, "Hey, Rowan."

Hearing his name he looked up to meet Lilith's gaze giving an 'I am listening' response, "Hmmm?"

Getting the all-clear, Lilith began saying what was on her mind, "You know back there when you said that we had to protect this place...I sort of understand why I have to but why do you?"

"..." Rowan remained silent for a short while before looking away from her and saying, "It's because I'm a Redthorn."

"Because you're a Redthorn? That's why?"

"Well, essentially yes. I'm the head of the Redthorn clan who had founded this whole isle to protect not only our people but those who sought peace and safety. It's always been the Redthorn's who had guarded and protected this place even at the cost of our lives we are willing to throw it away for this is our land, this is our home and these are our people."

"...That's quite an admirable thing to say and do..." Lilith said cautiously as she wasn't too sure how she should respond after hearing his explanation.

"Hmm, not really it's our duty and belief. It needs not to praise as this is what we should do." Rowan said uncaringly giving a light shrug before asking, "It's your first time here, so how was it?"

"huh?"

"How was it here? Do you like this place?"

"Oh, yes I do. It's truly a unique experience for me that I never wish to forget. I never thought that it would be possible for so many mythical beings to co-exist together so harmoniously, it's like a fairy-tale coming to life." Lilith said with a smile, these day's she thought that she had become more human with her expression of emotions through various interactions being like those she saw throughout both her past and current life. To be honest she was actually not hating the idea of becoming more human and having more nice memories with people she knew.

But due to Lilith being consumed by her own thoughts she missed Rowan's bizarre reaction to her words, "Fairy-tale?" Rowan quietly muttered to himself in confusion, his brows knitting together in intense thought. 'Nothing in this world had mentions of fairy-tales that Lilith spoke of...so what did she mean?'

When the waiter came to serve their food, Rowan put away his thoughts and suspicions as he knew it wasn't the right time nor place to think about this and instead focused on the meal and the outing with Lilith until they returned back to the Redthorn Estate. Where he would continue to investigate.

"Oh, Rowan I forgot to ask, what was the war that you mention?"

"hmmm, the war between beast and humans?"

"yes that one the one I was apart of"

"Well, it's just like its name. It's a war between beasts and mythical creatures vs humanity."

"The demon lord will rise again, and on that fateful day, humanity will fall. Unless the girl sent from the god's rises and leads humanity to victory.

The war between both sides will bring chaos and destruction to the land and many will lose their life. On the brink of humanities fall a savior sent from the gods will rise and fight against the demon lord. With this battle, the war will cease and so will the control over all beasts."

"What was that?"

"It was the prophecy given by God's temple."

"and why do you think this girl sent from the gods is me?"

"I had been told in advance from the boss that you were the 'God's sent child'."

"Oh..."

The lunch ended in uncomfortable silence and soon the two returned to the Estate. Per usual the two had separated to do their own business, that was minding their own lives in privacy.

Lilith strolled around the garden whilst Rowan locked himself in the study to do who knows what. The afternoon passed peacefully in the Redthorn Estate and even the noisy Braylon was unusually quiet after his visit to Rowan's study.

Though one it was time for dinner and they all gathered to dine. Rowan was first to declare that they would be going on a little expedition next month to go investigate the strange disturbances that were occurring throughout the kingdoms.

This drove surprise to Lilith as she had received another clue from the strange pocket watch, "head force, where nights are cold and the land is bare. The screaming terrors of nightmares haunt the land. Tread with care as deep through the hills of gold, hold the evil that taints the lands."

It left Lilith in puzzlement as she tried to crack the riddle but to avail, her efforts were fruitless as the strange riddle caused another headache for Lilith, as more worries arise.

Later that night in Rowan's study, a mysterious figure again appeared from the shadows.

"It's been awhile Rowan..." the mysterious figure said leaning against the wall, where they stood was in complete shadow and so Rowan couldn't make out the figure's appearance.

Only by hearing their voice, Rowan knew that it was his boss and performed a salute before replying, "Yes, yes it has been. Sir."

The mysterious figure gave a 'hmm' in approval before stating lightly, "I see that your getting too cozy with the target, has all this time searching led you to find a new love?"

Rowan remained silent watching the figure intently as he waited to hear the rest of their words, "Hmmm? It seems that you've grown smarter, kid."

"Sir, if you have something to say please do. I have no time to be idling."

"Alright then, Rowan...I came here to remind you that if you don't want to find who you're looking for, then I suggest keeping getting close to the target." Their said pausing, every word was interlaced with helplessness as they stood waiting for the reaction they wanted.

It seemed that they had succeeded in getting the reaction they wanted as they had noticed Rowan's clenched fist and anger that was not cleverly concealed burning in his eyes. It was then that they continued, "But if you do want to find her again in this life you better do as I say."

Rowan could only grit his teeth and hatefully spite out the words, "Yes sir, I understand."

Sensing the hate the figure froze, the air around them dropped to a freezing point but the figure only leisurely resumed leaning against the wall and threateningly spoke, "Remember she is our enemy and the only one who can stop our plans. That pesky Felix boy has now left so her only guardian is gone. You did well Rowan, but now stick to the plan."

Sensing the underlined anger and pressure within his words, Rowan could only obey and bowed, "I understand."

"Good," Seeing as they got the answer they wanted, the air around them turned back to normal before the mysterious figure began to vanish, "Remember your precious girl is with me and if you fail in the mission, I will not hesitate to eliminate her." He reminded, before fully vanishing back into the shadows.

Leaving Rowan in complete anger and frustration as he picked up the wine glass on his desk, and threw it across the room, staining both the wall and floor with wine and shattered pieces of glass at its foot.

Rowan couldn't have cared less at this time and only whispered, "Damn."

Before calling in Austin and Braylon, "The time is coming soon, we have to pick up the pace with the plan, if not...then multiple lives will be at stake."

Once the two had appeared, they had begun discussing the matters of their so-called plan.
