Chapter 31
Tame Me My Brother -in-Law By Sweet Sakura
Chapter 31
CELINEâS POV
Weâve arrived at the airport at four oâclock in the afternoon and I never
thought that Jake was that caring as he always checked on me from time to
time and I have to force a smile at him, for him to know that I was fine. But the
truth was that⦠I was really feeling nervous. I have to hide my shaking hands
behind me for not anyone to notice especially the couple in front of us, as we
walked our way towards the departure area.
âCeline⦠are you sure you want to go with us? Maybe you want to inform dad
first about this?â Brylee suddenly turned her head to look at me, then walked
slowly so that she could walk beside me. âIf you want to change your mind, I
can call a cab for you to go home.â
Of course⦠Brylee would think of something she could do to get rid of me and
I couldnât help but closed my fists, hating the fact that she couldnât wat to
drive me away. A sly grin plastered on my lips as I turned my head to look at
her. âI think if Dad finds out that Iâll be on the same trip with Jake, he will
definitely not objectâ¦â.
And twas startled when Jake suddenly laughed beside me, and as
expected⦠Brylee could only grit her teeth in anger as she sent murderous
gazes in my direction.
âJake..â I heard the almighty Sebastian groaned beside Brylee, âI think youâre
not young anymore to not distinguish whatâs the difference between a
demon and a human!â I could feel his burning gazes at me but I only
responded at him with a sweet smile, hoping to annoy him even more.
I will never be affected at their nasty words throwing at me. You wish!
I tore my gaze away from him and looked around the airport, still feeling
amaze at how big and beautiful the place is. I never had the chance to
oppreciate this place earlier when I picked up Jake because I was too busy
looking for him.
Helt Jake shrug his shoulders at Sebastianâs statement.

Sebastian glared at me before he pulled Brylee away from us, leading the
way to the departure area.
âAre you okay?â Jake asked, his hand squeezing mine.
âYeah..â I nodded. âIâve never been in a plane before, so, Iâm really feeling
nervousâ¦â

My eyes suddenly darted outside the glass window and they went wide, my
mouth gaped open as I ran towards it, my finger pointing at the big airplane
outside. âHey itâs an airplane! Oh my God, itâs so big!â
Jake followed behind and I heard him chuckle. âYouâre the daughter of Julio
Lauren, one of the richest businessmen in the country. Havenât you been on a
plane before?â
His question made me freeze momentarily. He knew me, that meant he saw my name and face on social medias. I put a smile on my face as I turned to face him. âArenât you afraid of me, Jake?â I didnât expect the words that came
out of my mouth.
40
âWhy should! be afraid of you?â he chuckled as he ruffled my hair. âAre you a
demon who eat people?â He asked and I shook my head. âThen thereâs
nothing to be afraid of⦠You appear to be more of an angel than a devilâ¦â
I laughed. âDidnât you hear what they said about me? Didnât you see my
pictures and videos on the internet?â I asked again, my eyes locked with his,
trying to read whatâs in his mind but I couldnât see anything. All I saw was
genuine concern for me. âI donât have a good reputation. In their eyes, Iâm not
a very good girlâ¦â
I heard him sigh and took my shaking hands. âI donât believe them. I only
believe in myself and myself says that youâre not that kind of girl. Thatâs what
my eyes see on you. The real you. So⦠why would I have to listen to others?â
My breath caught in my throat as I stared at him. The corner of my lips slowly
curved up in a genuine smile, showing my dimples. âThank you, Jakeâ¦â
And Jake was stunned for a moment as he looked at me smiling. I have no
idea what was going through his mind as he stared at me but he looked so
mesmerized by the way his eyes lit up. That prompted me to blush profusely

The plane finally took off, and I felt quite houssated for the whole of our thyht
i was grateful to Joke for never obandoning me and for providing me with
antiâvomiting medications
Four and a half hours later, and we were already landing at the airport of
Navy District of Oceania City, which made me sigh in relief. Only when I got in
the car that I was slowly coming back to life.
âHow are you holding up, Celine?â Brylee asked sarcastically as she sat
beside me at the back of the car. Sebastian climbed inside followed by Jake
behind and they both sat at the front row of the seat, just behind the driver,
and in front of us. âI told you to rest at home. Why donât you want to listen to
me?â
I rolled my eyes at Brylee before I closed them and leaned back in my seat.
Iâm not interested in talking to her right now. I hate it that sheâs acting like she
pared for me, showing everyone that sheâs wonded about my condition.
âIf youâre feeling uncomfortable, donât hesitate to tell me so that I can take
Bere of you okay?â she continued and I noticed that her voice suddenly
became sweet, her hands even holding mine, so I frowned and opened my
eyes to check if I wasnât dreaming at all and thatâs when I saw Sebastianâs
eyes were on us, particularly at me.
I sat up straighter and my lips curled slightly. âYou can slap me all you want,
but why do you have to scratch my hands with your nails?â

Bryleeâs eyes widened as she turned her head to look at Sebastian and she
was lucky that he diverted his attention away from us. I pulled my hand away
from her hold and smirked at her.
âHave a rest first, Celine⦠Iâve already arranged for a banquet to be prepared
for tonight⦠Jake turned his head to check up on me, and I smiled at him to

which he responded with a wink.
âJake, I think Celine might have to turn that down. Sheâs not feeling well. You

see? Iâm afraid that she wonât be able to eat anything tonight. Can you just
let her rest in her room?â my sister said, and I scoffed, loud enough for
Sebastian to hear, so I wasnât surprised when he looked back at me with
burning glares.

I am positive that Brylee didnât want me to steal her spotlight tonight but I
wonât let her win. âThank you for your concern, my dear sisterâ¦â I said as I
pressed my hand on my stomach hardly. âBut Iâmâ¦â before I could finish what
I was going to say, a bile rose up in my throat and I leaned at Brylee to throw
up all over her lap.
âWhat the fâ¦.!â She canât curse. Sheâs not allowed to curse, because in the
eyes of everyone, she was the good girl, and I was the bad one.
A shrill scream coming from her erupted from the inside of the luxury car and
I smiled, wiping my mouth with the back of my hand before I leaned back to
my seat and closed my eyes once again, pretending that I was very sick.
