Celine didnât speak, but she did grab the glass back from Jake and take a
swig from it. She made sure to give Mia a sneer as the glass touched her lips.
She was intoxicated. I could tell by the flutter in her eyes and the smile that
formed on her lips. But before she could even begin to regain her composure,
an agitated voice arose once more, which was very annoying in the ears.
âCeline! Itâs your turn again!â Mia laughed, and everyone else in the room
clapped their hands before turning their attention to Celine as if she were a
clown performing at a carnival.
âYouâre doing it on purpose!â Suddenly, Jake voiced his complaint.
âMr. Harvey, I hereby solemnly swear⦠It wasnât just me going around
spinning the bottle all by myselfâ¦â Mia put her hands up as she spoke. âI think
you have to blame for her shitty luck!â

Someone also yelled, âOr better yet, just answer a question if you donât want
to do the dare!â
As I looked at Celine, I noticed that the corners of her mouth turned up. She
was shaky and her hand was clenched around the table as she tried to
steady herself.
Despite this, she proceeded to take up the glass and slowly bring it to her
mouth, at which point I rose from my seat and snatched the glass away from
her grip.
âJake⦠I havenât-â When she looked up and saw me holding the glass, the
next words she was about to say were cut off. âSâSebastianâ¦?â
I violently slammed the glass onto the table and grabbed her wrist, yanking
her out of her seat in the process. âNot even a single drop moreâ¦â I clenched
my teeth, and she made a scowl while staring at me with a face that looked
a little bewildered.

Anderson, this is Celine, not your fiancée..â
Hearing this joted me back to reality and brought me to my senses. I turned
my head to look at Celine again and noticed that her eyes were cloudy 1
then began to carefully release my hold on her wrist
âIn point of fact⦠as we were celebrating our engagement, Celine passed out
from the booze. I believe that Seb was merely worried about her. In addition
to that she had been sick for a long due to the airline travel.â Bryleeâs
interruption broke the tension that had been mounting and demonstrated
her desire to make things easier for everyone.

âMr. Harvey, you canât just stop the game when everyone is still enjoying! If
she wasnât interested in participating in the game, she had no business being
here in the first place!â said the guy who was sitting across from Brylee.
âOthers might get the impression that we are conspiring against her if you
continue to defend her in this manner!â a statement made by a woman next
to the person who had just finished speaking.
âThatâs absolutely correct, Mr. Harvey!â The motion was seconded by Mia.
âThereâs no way you can be so biased!â
Jake let out a sigh before turning his head to look at Celine with a worried
expression on his face. âIt looks like you canât drink anymore, Celine⦠Just
answer a question, all right?â

Celine made a gesture by stretching out her hand and rubbing the area in
between her eyebrows. After that, she turned her head to look at Mia and
stated âIâll choose truthâ¦â

Miaâs eyes glowed with excitement as though she had been anticipating this
very moment. âWho was the first person you ever had sex with?â
My expression immediately became more serious, and Jakeâs did as well, in
response to the question that she had just blurted out. The previous night,
when sheâd been drunk, sheâd been as submissive as a kitten. Her intoxicated
state brought back memories of that. Damn it! I must be out of my freaking
mind!
âFor Godâs sake! What kind of question is that? Why would you inquire about
something that is so private?â Jake spewed with a sneer on his face, his tone
being especially icy.
But to my utter astonishment, Celine laughed out loud all of a sudden.
And then she paused, narrowing her eyes as she peered around, and her

âYouâre asking me who stole my virginity, arenât you?â Her speech became
slurred.
âYeah.â Mia nodded. âAccording to the internet, you reportedly gave your
first time with your instructor, but others said that you did it with a
classmate⦠Who exactly was it?â Mia continued cynically.
âIâve had enough of this!â Jake was outraged. He cast a scorching stare in
Miaâs direction, but she didnât move one inch. âLetâs go, Celineâ¦â He stood up
and was ready to assist her in standing when Celine abruptly muttered
something. At that moment, he stopped.
âIt hurtsâ¦â she moaned, her face contorted with pain as she spoke. âIt was
my first time⦠And I felt so much pain.â
âStop it, Celine.â Jake spoke softly in her ear. âCome on, Iâll send you back to
your room so that you can rest. You have consumed too much alcohol.â
At Hght letâs just and this game.â Brylee suddenly stood up. âCeline is not
