Chapter 58
Tame Me My Brother -in-Law By Sweet Sakura
KNOW YOUR PLACE
CELINEâS POV
I didnât wait for the driver to open the door for me when the luxury car pulled up in front of Laurenâs mansion. Instead, I pulled it open and exited the car without saying anything to the person who was still inside, watching my every move.
Before I pushed the door shut, I could still hear Sebastian sighing deeply, and as soon as the car was out of my line of sight, I turned on my heels and walked into the house.
I was ready to push on the main door when all of a sudden it opened, and I heard footsteps coming down the stairs. When I looked up, I noticed Brylee descending the stairs still in her pajamas and casting a murderous gaze in my direction.
I didnât take my eyes off of her and instead chose to make eye contact with her in order to convey the message that I was
completely unafraid. It was out of the corner of my eye, but I could make out my loving father sitting on the couch, drinking coffee and reading the newspaper.
And Sasha was following close after her stepdaughter, who she
favored the most.
âDid anything happen last night?â Brylee asked me this question as she came to a halt in front of me, crossing her arms over her chest.
took my time to analyze her face, and when I noticed the black circles that were surrounding her eyes, I couldnât help but cr ack a smile. Itâs possible that she couldnât get to sleep or stayed up the whole night because she kept thinking about what me and her fiancé were doing.

What a pity! Unluckily for her, she was unaware of the fact that, to that man⦠she appeared to be far less significant than she had ever imagined.
âDidnât you hear my question?â She inquired once more, this time with a somewhat more insistent tone, but I did not alter my position in the least. Instead, I reached into my bag and pulled out my phone, then pushed the record button before putting the phone back inside the bag and turning to face my angry sister.
However⦠just as I was ready to say something, Julio stopped reading the newspaper, placed it on the coffee table, and started walking towards us.
âCeline, we have also seen the report about what happened yesterday â¦â he said, maintaining a calm demeanor despite his icy tone. âEven if we donât know the complete backstory, how could you have been okay with it when other people mistook you for Brylee?â
I made an expression that suggested I didnât want to respond to his inquiry by pursing my lips and staring at him in disgust.
âBut your performance is not that bad, huhâ¦â Sasha interrupted, a delighted smile plastered on her lips. âTell me anything you want, Iâll buy it for you. And by the way⦠you can call me mom from now on, my dearâ¦â
âReally?â I focused my cold gaze on her with a raised brow, the corner of my mouth curved into a smirk. âAre you sure, mommy?â
âOf course, sweetheart!â she said, hurrying forward and grabbing my hand. âWe are family, Celine⦠Although Iâm your stepmother, I can treat you like my own daughter, just like how I treat your sisterâ¦â
Whatâs her drama this time?
I couldnât help but chuckle as I wrenched my hand away from her grip.

âI apologize, but I donât need another mother. I only and her name is Sandraâ¦â
one mother
Sasha was startled and her expression became increasingly irritated. as she backed away from me and embraced her husband, who was standing beside Brylee.
I snorted as I passed by them and continued down the stairs toward the basement, which was where my room was, but Brylee suddenly stood in my way and blocked my path.
âYou didnât answer my question, Celine!â she roared in my face. âWhat happened to you with the Anderson family last night?â
I rolled my eyes impatiently and let out a groan as I tried to shove her _aside, but she was unwilling to move.
âGet out of my wayâ¦â I whispered, gritting my teeth.
âWho do you think you are, huh?â she screamed. âJust because my dad has given you permission to stay here does not mean that youâre going to behave in such a manner against me or towards my mother!â
At that moment, she was staring at me with a fiery rage in her eyes. And even though I havenât made up my mind about whether or not I should tell her the truth, I must say that it was really gratifying to watch her become both furious and insane at the same time.
But once again, my annoyingly persistent father intervened, and I rolled my eyes in response to the sound of his voice.
âCelineâ¦â he groaned. âYou pretended to be your sister last night in Andersonâs villa. Although I know that you had no choice but to pretend to be your sister, you need to tell us everything that happened while youâre there with themâ¦â
I didnât bother to turn my head in his direction to look at him. During the entirety of his speech, my gaze was fixed on Brylee,

âEvery little detail is important to usâ¦â he continued. âWe donât want to be blindsided by anything that comes our wayâ¦â
âWell⦠there were quite a few events that took place in Andersonâs mansion last nightâ¦â I started. âBut I have no idea where to startâ¦â
I gave a shrug of my shoulders and took a stride forward, but Brylee forced me to take a step back by pushing me. âDid you sleep with
him?â
I just stood there and stared at her in silence before making the
decision to tease her a little bit.
âIâm asking you, Celine!â she growled. âDid you sleep with my fiancé?â
I gave her a huge mocking grin, which made her angry eyes even more pronounced. âIâm not deaf, Brylee⦠Why are you shouting so loud?â said, wincing. Then my eyes glanced at the clock hanging on the wall. âOh⦠It looks like Iâll be running late for school; I really ought to get goingâ¦â
I purposely knocked Bryleeâs shoulder as I moved past her, but I suddenly felt excruciating pain on my scalp, and thatâs when I realized that she was pulling my hair, so hard that I almost wanted to cry.
âYou bi tch!â she screamed like crazy. âYou need to know your place, do you get that? Who do you think you are, huh? What makes you think youâre so important?!â

LAST REVENGE
CELINEâs POV
âDid you sleep with Seb?â Brylee continued to speak while her fingers remained entangled in my hair and she exerted a stronger pull on them. As a result, I felt another jab of pain in my scalp, which caused me to grimace.
My attention was briefly drawn to my father, who appeared to be pretending not to notice anything while he was hugging his wife. Nadia could be seen giggling to herself as she stood hidden behind the door. She appeared to be enjoying watching us as if she was watching a play.
My vision immediately became blurry, and I focused all of my might on striking Brylee in the stomach with my elbow.
âS hit!â She let out a loud cry, releasing her grip on my hair, and t she stepped back from me while still standing there holding her
stomach.
âBrylee!â Sashaâs eyes widened, and just as my sister was about to lose her balance and fall over, Julio grabbed hold of her.
I straightened up and glared at them as I scoffed. âYou have to be nice to me if you want to find out anything. Otherwise⦠I wonât tell you anything you need to knowâ¦â I could already feel that my words. were my biggest weapon.
âYouâ¦â Brylee gritted her teeth, and cast a malicious glance in my direction with her gaze.
I gave her no attention and spun on my heels as I continued to make my way down the stairs and into my room, but I could still hear Brylee venting to my father about something.

âDad!â she was almost sobbing. âDid you see what sheâd done to me? Why didnât you help me?!â
Dad remained silent, most likely considering what he would say to Brylee in his response.
âI donât know what happened to them last nightâ¦â Brylee continued, and this time around, she was already crying. âWhat if she ratted me out while she was with the Anderson family? What should I do now? You should let her leave the house, dad! I donât want her to stay here anymore. I know sheâs going to steal Seb away from me!â
âLooks like the wretch pulls up her defences when she is subjected to what are known as âenhanced interrogation tacticsâ¦â When I overheard Julio say that, I just shrugged my shoulders and went into my room, where I then quietly shut the door behind me with a light thud.
