CELINE’S POV

“Celine… I was wondering if you wanted to talk to dad about this first …” I turned to look at Brylee when she asked about me staying at the Anderson’s villa and teaching Cynthia, but I couldn’t help but catch a glimpse of Sebastian, who was standing off to the side but exuding a cold demeanor.

“I think, there’s no need for that…” I smiled sweetly at her. “Don’t be concerned, my dear sister, I will do everything in my power to succeed

in this role…”

Her expression turned more serious, and I could almost feel her clenching her teeth. When she smiled back at me, I was taken aback, and then she leaned over and whispered something in my ear. “Da mn you, Celine! You’re going to be sorry you did this…”

I took a few steps back and grabbed Jake’s arm, at which point I felt him flinch from my touch.

“Jake… I was wondering if you could kindly accompany me to

Anderson’s villa, while I do my job…” I said in a dramatic tone, which caused Brylee’s eyes to become very wide. “I’m kind of scared to be alone…”

My words were meant for Sebastian’s ears. In point of fact, I didn’t feel comfortable when I was confronted by this unpredictably

attractive man.

“Of course, Celine…” Jake gave me a smile as he put his arm around my shoulder. “I’m glad to be able to spend this time with you. While I’m around, you won’t have to worry about anyone picking on you…”

I couldn’t help but grin as I looked up at him and let out a sigh of

relief. If Jake were to accompany me while I was at Anderson’s house, I’m confident that my safety would be ensured. Considering that I should be his girlfriend. It never occurred to me that Cynthia would be so brazen as to harass her cousin’s girlfriend.

“Come here, Brylee…” Mrs. Anderson remarked while gesturing with

her hand.

Sebastian gave a slight nod to Brylee as he indicated for her to proceed forward onto the stage after she appeared to ask permission from the man standing next to her.

“What exactly are you holding out for, Brylee?” When I saw Sasha nudging Brylee towards the stage, I couldn’t help but narrow my eyes

slightly.

Sasha was there, standing next to Julio, and there was a man on the opposite side of her. When I caught a glimpse of the man’s clothing, I couldn’t help but raise the corner of my mouth.

“Jake…” I leaned over to the man standing next to me and murmured something into his ear. “Do you know who that man is standing next to my dad’s wife?”

He followed the direction of my gaze, and a smile gradually spread across his face. “You may know him as Mr. Richard Taylor; he’s one of Anderson’s business partners…

I gave him a slight nod as I continued to look at the man for a little longer, and I noticed that he had been staring at the woman beside him for an excessively long period of time. It seemed as though Sasha sensed that someone was looking at her, so she turned her head towards me, not to her lover.

“What are you staring at?” She snapped at me, and I smiled as I walked towards their spot, holding a glass of wine that the waitress had been serving around.

She arched her back, possibly thinking that she was the reason why I walked over to them. However, I walked past her and stood next to Mr. Taylor.

“How are you today, Mr. Taylor…?” I tried to smile as pleasantly as possible at him. “It’s a pleasure to finally meet you…”
