CHAPTER 22: Our love story is even more epic than Romeo and Juliet
It's a Love-Hate relationship
Right now, I had two things in my mind. My brothers' so-called stubbornness and well...Chris Hemsworth.
What?
He's hot. Super hot. And ogling at hot ass bodies is what I do in my free time, especially when no professor in their right mind has handed in any stupid homework.
No judging.
That wine better be stocked up in the fridge. I just bought three bottles last weekend. Me and wine? Haha. Our love story is even more epic than Romeo and Juliet.
I find the door unlocked and reckon that one of them must be home. As I open the door, I'm met with a bizarre sight of three half-naked boys sprawled on the floor on my favorite blanket.
And here I thought there will be no need for violence. As if.
"Ah, an intruder. Just in time. Wanna watch?" Aaron says, grinning like a stupid Cheshire cat, and stuffs a handful of popcorn in his stupid mouth. I grimace before walking over to them. Glad they are all at home, I sigh in relief. Seems like fate's on my side for the first time.
"Porn? No thanks, I'll pass." I smirk before picking up the empty beer bottle on the couch and tossing it in the bin. I wonder how many of those were already empty and lying around the apartment.
"I wish. But stupid Draven wants some action movie shit so we're putting on that. Hopefully, I do get some nudity." Aaron replies.
"Disgusting creature." Draven gives Aaron a dirty look and shakes his head.
"We share the same blood." Aaron clarifies while rolling his eyes and tries to snuggle up to Draven.
Keyword: tries. Before his hand is painfully pushed and kicked away. At times, I thank the stars for providing Draven with such useful muscles. Not all show, huh?
"And what are you doing?" I nudge Jason's arm with my ankle and he looks up at me, upside down since he was lying on the floor.
"Trying my best to ignore the foul words that come out of these two idiots' mouths and focusing on the movie but seems like I even have no luck in that because the remote is stuck under Aaron's butt." I chuckle at that and stand up to get my wine.
"No wine, Summer. You've had enough." Jason shouts just after I open the fridge and ogle at the beautiful wine kept for me.
I groan and bang the door of the fridge.
"Why?!"
"Because. You can have it tomorrow when these two idiots are gone for their dumb trip." Draven says.
I sigh, realizing it's time to tell him that I'm even one of them going for the dumb trip. Great description, brother. I grab a small bottle of beer and go back on the couch.
"Yeah. About that. Hey, Jason?" I coo with a sweet voice, hoping it will work.
"Hmm?" He replies with his eyes closed.
"I was kinda invited to the camping trip and-
"What?" He opens his eyes suddenly and once again, looks up. Low-key creepy, bro.
"Shut up. Let me finish. Blake guys invited me to the camping trip. Said it was some usual thing you guys held for bonding. Good for the players. Blah blah blah. And he said I could come." I smile at the end and take a sip of my cold beer. The sharp cold beer bites into my warm tongue and I close my eyes, savoring the taste of it.
Wine is still better, you all.
"You do realize there are gonna be like more than ten boys, right?" Aaron jumps in, wiggling his eyebrows.
"Shut up!" Jason punches Aaron's arm, who whines and rubs his arm up and down. He childishly shoots his tongue out at Jason and once again, he's hit by Draven at the back of his head.
"What is with you people and hitting me? Jeez! Time to get those adoption forms."
"You aren't alone on that thought!" Jason, Draven and I say in unison and we look at each other warily.
"Let's pretend you don't sound like wizards doing a spell on poor innocent me," Aaron says and we nod as Draven once again hits Aaron on his back and the two engage in their own banter. I shake my head and turn to listen to Jason.
"Look, I'm not gonna fight you on this. I'll be there so nothing will happen as stupid Aaron is suggesting over here."
"It might! Ow!"
We laugh and he continues.
"It's just that... will you be comfortable?" He asks me and this time, I see genuine concern for me in his hazel eyes. Unlike me and dad, these boys acquired their hazel eyes from mom. I mean, that woman.
I don't want to delve into that right now. Really.
"Maddie will be there. I'll be totally fine, Jason. No need to worry." I put my hand on his and he nods.
"I know. At least she's there. It's fine. Get ready by 12 tomorrow." He points at me and I fist bump him while nodding happily.
"Didn't know it would be this easy convincing you. I thought I would have to sneak in some drug pills in your food or drink." I grin and tell him, still enjoying my beer.
"Haha, very funny." Jason says, giving me a dry look, "Don't be so pleased. I'll still keep an eye on you."
"Yeah. Wouldn't want our little sister to hook up with any of the players, ya know?" You can guess what he got after that. A very, very close punch on his face which sadly ended on his shoulder. Damn it, Draven.
"Shut up. Hey, Jason? The beer's getting to his head, man. Get those away from this little punk." Draven says while shaking Aaron's body like he was some sort of jiggle doll.
"That won't help much, Dray. Considering he's always rambling on and on about some shit or the other." I stand and kick Jason's arm to create space for myself so I was now in between Jason and Aaron.
"Now I hope you guys aren't a fan of nudity like Aaron." I scrunch my face and take the remote, unpausing the movie.
"Fortunately, no," Jason says.
"So, will you wake up or should I get the fire extinguisher out?" Jason asks and one well-deserved glare from me tells him not to ask such dim-witted questions.
Although, I do make a mental note to set my alarm an hour earlier prior to the actual waking up time so that I can keep snoozing it off.
"Beers are over. Food, bitches, food. Get me food!" Draven shouts and Aaron sighs, handing him the popcorn.
"Don't finish it, you glutton," Aaron tells Draven but the glare he receives shuts him up well off, "I mean if you want more I can get them for you. Caramel? No?" I laugh at his weirdness and pull his cheeks.
"No! Don't do that! I'm not a girl!" He groans and slaps my hand away.
"Why are you drinking anyway? If Coach gets to know..." I ask them, smiling mischievously, as I look at Aaron then Jason.
"Then don't forget to add in you drank too, little sis." I frown at Draven's very useful point and continue drinking my beer until it finishes.
"Fine, you manipulative monkeys. Just this once." I sigh and continue staring at the TV screen, glad that they decided to keep quiet for once.
"By the way, it's decent of you to at least roam in your boxers alone. Thank god you weren't naked." I say while looking at the TV. I look to my sides only to meet their own awkward gazes.
"Um..."
"No." I squeak out, horror filling me, "Tell me you didn't... you didn't rush into your boxers just when I came in."
"We did." Aaron drawls out while Draven and Jason chuckle.
"Eww. Guys, seriously?! On my damn blanket? We talked about this!" I cross my arms and this time, Aaron pulls my cheeks.
"Our butts are absolutely clean, Summer."
"TMI, dude!"
"Not yours, Aaron! God knows how much dirt is there from all the sex."
"Like yours isn't dirty."
"Shut up!"
"No, you shut up."
I hit each of them on the back of their heads and they shut up at once. I chuckle silently and continue watching the movie.
Talk about half broken but full ass crazy families.
