Ken wasn't expecting it. He narrowed his eyes at Jade, but Jade smiled widely and wiggled his eyebrows. Ken got up from his chair and walked to the front. " We will settle this later ". Ken said threateningly. Jade chuckled. " I am looking forward to it ". He winked and went to sit at their table. Ken smiled looking at everyone. " Hello everyone. It has been a while since I sang, so I am happy to do this but not sure if I am still in form. Forgive any mistakes ". Everyone clapped.

Jade definitely caught all the glances Ken gave him. Ken looked so natural standing in front of the crowd and like a performer as he sang. He did not miss the wink which was thrown in his direction. He smiled feeling his heart beat increase. It felt like they were the only ones there. Like Ken was singing it only for him. He rested his chin on his fist as he watched Ken. Jade came out of trance when he heard everyone clapping and clapped along with everyone. It was a song called ' Crush ' by Tessa violet.
He never knew Ken was such a good singer. Ken thanked everyone and came back to his seat. " You are really good ". Ken smiled at Jade's compliment. " You were too ". " Come on. Compared to you, I am not even a match ". Ken shook his head. " That is too much. Nothing like that ". Jade was about to say something but was stopped by Ken who put his index finger to Jade's lips. " Now let's order quickly, I'm hungry ". Jade was stunned for a second. Ken immediately removed his hand. He looked away with a smile. Jade chuckled. " Excuse me ". Jade called for the waiter.
Once they finished their food, they went to walk along the shore. " You never told me you were such a good singer ". Jade asked as they were walking. " You never asked ". Ken saw Jade's deadpan expression and laughed. " Okay, okay. Sorry ". Jade shook his head smiling. Ken continued. " I used to be the singer of the music band from our faculty during my college days ". " That's awesome ". " It used to be nice. Luke was our guitarist, but then he couldn't make time for practice so he had to drop out, but he always helped us in case we were in need ". " Wow. That's really nice ". Ken smiled.
" You were a singer too ? " Jade pointed at himself. " Me ? A singer ? " Jade laughed. " I am not. But I like it a little maybe, that's it. I learnt piano for a while though ". " Wow. That's cool ". They walked while chatting. They went around, enjoying the weather which wasn't that hot luckily. They took some photos and it was already dark when they decided to return. They finished having a meal and took some snacks to have on their way back. Ken didn't win the argument about who was going to drive back. Jade was the one doing it again and Ken fell asleep again.
The next morning, Ken stretched his body and sat up. He rubbed his eyes to get rid of the drowsiness. He put a hand on his neck rotating it. He stopped and realized something was wrong. He was in a room he didn't know and on a bed he never slept on. He looked around and saw Jade who was buttoning his shirt. " Where am I ? " " Oh. Good morning ". " Answer me ". Jade chuckled at how confused Ken looked right now. Ken looked down to see Jade's body.
He had a good front. Ken gulped as he stares. Jade continued buttoning while speaking. " Are you listening ? " Ken snapped out of the daze when he heard Jade ask loudly. He averted his eyes feeling a little embarrassed. But lucky enough he didn't get caught while staring. " Ah ? What is it ? " Jade frowned when he saw Ken's face.
" What happened ? Are you not feeling well ? " Ken wanted to slap himself. " No, just...in a daze because I just woke up. What were you saying again ? " " This is my house and you are in my room and my bed. Okay ? " Ken looked around examining the room. " But how did I come up ? "Jade was done dressing up. He folded his hands and stood looking at Ken. And Ken couldn't think otherwise. " You really did that ? "
The night before
Jade was contemplating on taking Ken to his house or to Ken's apartment. Going to Ken's might be a little trouble anyway. He didn't know the password and also he has to wake Ken up. He finally decided on the former. He drove to his house and parked the car. He went to the other side and saw Ken still sleeping. He smiled and removed the seat belt. He put one hand around Ken' shoulders and the other under his knees.
He picked him up and walked into the house. He has already informed his mom that he will be coming home and the approximate timing. He called his mom when they were near. So his mother opened the door without making them wait for long. She gasped when she saw Ken in Jade's arms. " What happened ? " She whispered. " He is asleep ". Jade whispered back. She moved aside and let him come in. Jade carried Ken to his room and put him on the bed.
He tucked him in carefully and went to get their things from the car. He came back and saw Ken happily sleeping. He changed his clothes and got on the bed falling asleep as well. The next morning he woke up and felt a body snuggled up on his side. He looked down to see Ken who held Jade's shirt in a lose fist and a small smile as he was still in dreamland. Jade smiled and put Ken's hand aside careful not to wake him up and got up to get ready for the day.
Back to present
" I just didn't want to wake you up. You were sleeping so peacefully. And you are not that heavy ". The first thought that came to his mind was ' Can Ken accuse Jade ? ' Ken shook his head. He cannot say anything. " I am sorry. I caused you so much trouble ". Jade smiled warmly. " Nothing like that. It is fine. So would you like to take a bath ? We can get to office on time if you go now ". Ken nodded. Jade provided him a new brush and Ken didn't mind using the same shampoo and body wash as Jade. It would be fine.

CTTRO to the video and song too. I like how the song is how it is in reality. That is exactly how one will be around your crush.
As for my choice for songs; I chose this for Ken because it is a really cute song. I thought it would match with Ken's personality. And the same goes for Jade. That song made me think that it would be something that Jade would sing.
Compared to Luke and Leo's love, theirs is different. So these songs make it look like fresh love or first love. So I chose the songs which give that kind of vibe. But the emotion between Luke and Leo is different, so I had to choose it based on that.
Also I had to take care that they wouldn't be all that hard to sing too. And after weighing all the things these were my final choices.
I feel bad that I made it look like Leo is the only one who cannot sing.ð But come on not everyone can do everything. He is like me who can't sing. ð¤
I wouldn't say this is how Ken would sound but I put this because I really like it. ð I actually came across the male version and really liked it and then I heard the original. So I wanted to share this. No offense but somehow I liked the male version more than the original. ð ð Both are good but I like this a bit more.ð
I really respect Jade. I never give up on my sleep no matter what. ðð So I definitely appreciate it. ððð»ðð»
I wonder how both, Ken and Jade can be equally dense or dumb at times. Tsk. I guess it's fine though. ð And I am not fond of characters that are too dense. ðð No offense, but it really gets to me at times. ð
