21. He is Back!
Dark Temptation!
Author's POV
"How's work going?"
Julie asked when Arabella was getting ready for the next day.
"Good. Everything is going fine. How's Matilda doing?"
She wore her jacket.
"Better but still need medical attention."
She huffed.
"I made notes for you. You don't have to waste your time on it."
"Thank you!"
Arabella shuffled through notes.
"You are good in it... What do you want to do after studies?"
Julie smiled.
"I want to become hacker."
Arabella raised her eyebrows amused.
"Hacker, is that why you are always in front of computer?"
"Yes, I am planning to take professional course after studies. And I will do it."
She was confident.
"All the best."
Arabella placed green notes in her drawer and released a deep breath.
"You look nervous."
Julie noticed it.
"Yeah, I don't know why I am feeling little uneasy today. It's feeling like something is going to happen."
She wore her shoes.
"You are a good girl unlike me, nothing is going to happen. By the way, nice shoes. Did you buy these as a self gift?"
She asked curiously.
"No, Chief gave these to me. My old shoes got torn while working."
She replied.
Julie's eyes widened in shock.
"So he knows mercy unlike his brother."
"His brother is not that bad, Julie. He saved me from the bullet, remember?"
Arabella grabbed her phone to leave.
"You got into problem because of him so technically he is the problem."
Julie shrugged carelessly.
"Really? We got into problem because of him?"
Arabella crossed her hands over her chest and gave her a look.
Julie grinned and scratched her head.
"It started because of me but still, he kidnapped us."
She shook her head.
"See you tonight!"
"Bye!"
Julie waved when she walked out.
Meanwhile Oliver was back in the town. Noah parked the car in front of the house and they got out.
"I thought you would go to see your kitten as soon as you enter the town."
Oliver rolled his eyes.
"The plan is to stay away from her till she turns eighteen, remember? I'll go there tonight, she comes to her window to see moon."
He smiled at the memory.
"You are early!"
Arthur came out of the house to greet him.
"Is it a problem?"
Oliver gave him bro hug.
"Ofcourse not."
Arthur replied.
"There won't be any problem until and unless you keep your problematic mind in check."
Oliver smirked.
"As if you have a mind of a saint... Come on, Arthur. We both are devils and you know it, why are you trying to give all the credit to me?"
Arthur answered it with smirk.
"I don't like the attention, remember?"
Oliver nodded.
"Fine, make me the bad guy. I don't mind."
He shrugged and walked inside with Arthur and Noah. He saw Cami and groaned annoyed.
"You know, I don't like maids in the house. In mansion it's fine. Can't you do your own work in the small house?"
"I know you love your privacy and I'll take care of that... Maids will not enter your room and will not disturb you... Don't fuss about it now!"
Arthur rolled his eyes.
"I have fixed schedule, I can't sit here and cook all day leaving my work behind. I need househelps."
"Fine, but not in my room... I'll throw them out of the house if they invade my privacy."
He warned.
"Done, go freshen up and come down for breakfast..."
He sighed at his demands.
Arabella entered the gate and saw one more car at the lawn. She thought some guest must have arrived as Oliver had some other car last time. She couldn't recognise it.
She started cleaning and Cami looked after their breakfast.
Arthur was looking for her, she didn't come to help Cami.
He knows that she is still processing the shock and he is willing to give her all the time.
Meanwhile Oliver couldn't resist himself from seeing his girl, he decided to go to the orphanage after breakfast.
Arabella saw the new car going out of the gate and went to kitchen.
"Do we have guests?"
She looked at extra dishes.
"No, dear! Chief's brother is here... They are going to work together from now on."
Cami replied while preparing for the lunch.
"Oliver?"
Arabella mumbled shocked.
"Yes but you should call him Sir. Calling him by name might look rude."
She suggested.
Arabella's heart again picked the race after recalling there last meet.
She tried to calm down herself thinking misunderstanding is cleared so he won't bother her now.
"Okay, understood!"
She started washing dishes, deciding to mind her own business.
Cami forgot to tell her that she should stay away from him because he doesn't like maids around him.
Oliver, on other hand visited the orphanage and found out that Arabella went to work. They didn't tell him where because it was against safety of the girl.
"Noah, find out where she is working and why?... Why my girl needs money?"
He ordered. He can't imagine her working with those small delicate hands at young age.
"I'll find out!"
Noah nodded.
"You check, I'll visit the warehouses with Arthur."
He left Noah behind.
Noah knew whom to grab to get all the information. He waited outside the orphanage until the girl in green came out.
Julie gasped when someone clasped her mouth and stuffed her in the car.
Arabella was done cleaning the house and it was almost evening, she saw Arthur going for his training after shower. He wasn't home all day so they hardly encountered.
She decided to clean the last room which was remaining.
She knew that it's Oliver's room and was nervous to enter it but she was more scared that he will get angry for not cleaning it.
Stepping inside someone's room never felt so risky, the shower was running so she decided to quickly clean the room before he comes out.
Arabella was almost done when Oliver opened the door of shower and came out. He was just in sweatpants and was drying his wet hair.
He frowned when she saw the girl in his room.
"Excuse me?"
His voice sounded annoyed, not expecting anyone in his room after clearly telling Arthur to take care of it.
She gulped and turned around to face him and saw his annoyed face slowly turning confused.
"Kitten?"
