Chapter 26

25. Rules!

Dark Temptation!

Author's POV

All men sat by the table, Garry and Noah were ready with the rules. All they wanted to do is, keep these two brothers alive.

"We can't afford you two getting into quarrel and hurt yourselves or the girl... Meddling in each other's business can create big issues."

Arthur was sitting there with mad face and Oliver was with hateful glare.

But they both agreed for the rule thing because they know that limits are easy to cross when the prize is worth.

"1st rule is obvious, no one will touch the girl until she is eighteen."

Noah declared and they both agreed. They weren't planning to either.

"2nd rule, you two will work together like there is no girl between you two. The purpose of coming here was just that."

Garry declared and they agreed because work is for their father and they can't ruin it.

"3rd, none of you will bad mouth eachother in front of her. It might stress or freak her out."

Noah declared.

"4th, none of you would interrupt when the girl is with either of you."

Garry stated.

"I object... I don't trust him with this. He plays tricks"

Arthur objected.

"As if you are trustworthy."

Oliver scowled.

"Just like you!"

He argued.

"Stop! You can't fight again. We need to find the solution."

Noah stopped them.

"We can split time. One will spend once day with her and next day other one, so no one will interfere."

"I agree!"

Garry nodded.

"That's the best way to tackle problems."

Oliver got up frustrated.

"Good, now I want to wait to spend the time with my own girl. Rubbish!"

"Who said you can call her 'my girl'..."

Arthur snapped.

"Everything was going fine until you came!"

"Really?"

Oliver gritted and stepped towards him threateningly.

"I shouldn't have handed over this fucking job to you. You are the real problem here."

Arthur got up madly.

"You are lucky that you are my brother."

"Time will tell who is lucky... In two months, she will turn eighteen. Get ready to fall on your face."

He challenged.

"Keep dreaming!"

Arthur mocked and walked away.

Meanwhile Arabella was sitting in her bed after dinner. She was recollecting the thing which happened today. She couldn't understand any of it, everything was confusing. The highlights was Noah and Garry asking her to choose one, she was thinking whom she will actually choose if she have to.

The answer was difficult.

There is no difference between them, no answer to which one is better and which one is not. Both are kind when it's required and both are brutal.

"Hey, what are you thinking?"

Julie snapped fingers in front of her when she saw her lost.

"Nothing."

She forced a smile and shook her head.

"Do you ever feel that your life should have been something else and you would live the way you want."

"Everyday, everytime, every second."

Julie hopped on her bed.

"And I'll make it... Don't worry, I'll take you with me."

Arabella smiled.

"You are kind."

She got up and sat by the window.

"What do you want to become?"

Julie asked.

Arabella looked at the moon in the sky and smiled softly.

"Moon! Mysterious and beautiful. It's disappearance is also beautiful and appearance too. People love it even when it has spots. It's calm, peaceful and quiet."

"Poet, you mean..."

She nodded amused.

"Got it, you want to become a poet."

Oliver on other hand was watching his moon from his car.

"She is more beautiful than the moon..."

He stared at her in daze.

"We don't value the thing which we easily get. Let's fight for this too. There is no doubt that I am going to win you. You will be mine and that would be the biggest victory of my life... My little kitten!"

He watched her until she yawned cutely and went back after closing the window.

On other hand Arthur was walking back and forth in the lawn. The air was making him relax a bit.

But the situation which has stepped up is not at all good. Never in his life he thought that he will compete with his own brother for a girl. The brother for whom he was ready to die.

Pages flipped very quickly.

If it would have been something else then he would have give up but Oliver is asking for something which he has started cherishing. She is the first girl who has grabbed his attention and he wasn't going to give up, he will regret for his whole life if he does that.

"Fight will be little difficult, Dove but I'll win you... There would be no regrets if you would be by my side. You are mine!"

He noticed Oliver's car coming back.

"Can I trust you not to kidnap the girl for next two months?"

Arthur mocked when he got out.

Oliver smirked.

"I like fair fights, brother. Now that we have decided to fight then let's be honest till the end... Results will be thrilling after that."

Arthur nodded.

"Good to hear that you want to keep the sportsmanship."

"Never thought that you would be my rival at some point."

Oliver stood by his side while looking at the moon.

"It's absurd!"

"I agree!"

Arthur also looked at the moon.

"It's weird. But one of us will win and the other one will have to see his defeat for the rest of the life... Have you ever seen worse punishment than this?"

"There is no other option. We choose this now we have to suffer."

Oliver sighed.

"All the best, brother. I hope you loose really bad."

Arthur smirked.

"Feelings are mutual!... We always wanted to see who is the best, I guess in two months we will find out. We never get the chance to finish our fight, hope this one will end up good."

"Let's see!"

Oliver agreed.

"Anyways, tomorrow we will receive shipments. We have to unload them and you know chances of getting attacked are high so we need to be prepared for it."

Arthur nodded.

"Got it!"

They were about to go back to their rooms but Oliver stopped.

"Have we decided who is going to spend time with her tomorrow?"

Arthur stopped and shook his head.

"No!"

Oliver sighed.

"Let's toss. I want to see who wins the first bet."

Arthur grabbed a coin and tossed it. He opened palms and they both saw who won.
