Chapter 31

30. Fall?

Dark Temptation!

Author's POV

Oliver gritted and looked at Arthur with annoyed glared. He knew that he would do something to ruin his night walks with her and he did.

"Bicycle?"

Arabella turned towards Arthur.

"By why?"

He smiled.

"You don't like cars and can't drive bikes yet, so bicycle is the only convenient option. You can easily go back without relying on anyone."

His side eye look was directed towards Oliver.

"But I can't take this, it's a big thing."

She looked nervous.

"Don't worry, we have schemes to take care of the travel of our employees. All our have that facility, you can ask your Sir."

He smirked at Oliver.

"Isn't it, Oliver?"

Oliver released an annoyed sigh.

"Yes, they do!"

"Is it? Wow!"

Arabella now looked at the bicycle excited.

"It's beautiful! It's purple too. Looks cute."

She checked it with huge smile on her face.

"It has basket also... Thank you so much!"

Arthur stood beside Oliver.

"Are you looking at that smile. Beautiful, isn't it?"

Oliver didn't say anything. He could see Arabella smiling genuinely, he was happy for that but the smile is because of his brother was still not accepted.

"Smart move, Arthur. Bravo!"

He praised him.

"But I promise you that whenever she will look at the bicycle, she will remember me."

Arthur frowned and was about to answer him but Arabella interrupted.

"But I don't know how to ride a bicycle."

"That's okay, Dove... It has two extra small wheel which will keep the balance, don't worry."

Arthur assured.

"You just have to pedal."

Arabella noticed it and smiled.

"Yeah, this is so useful. Thank you!"

Arthur's smirk turned victorious when Oliver stormed away.

"I'll show this to Cami."

She went to the kitchen excited.

Arthur went back to the study and resumed his work. After some time Arabella came there with lunch.

"What did your favourite Cami said?"

He looked up at her.

"She also liked the colour. Said that now she can ask me to buy vegetables anytime."

She smiled and placed the plate on the table.

"I'll set the table."

She was done setting the table and was leaving but stopped her.

"Going for a lunch?"

She nodded.

"I'll come back to set rest of the shelves."

"Have lunch with me."

He suggested while placing his files away.

"Lunch with you?"

She got nervous, why would her boss wants to eat with her?

"Why not? You don't like eating with me?"

He got up.

"Not like that. But why would you want to eat with me?"

She asked hesitantly.

"Because I am alone."

He approached her.

"But if you don't want to eat with me then fine. I'll eat alone."

She felt guilty.

"No, I'll eat... I was just asking. I'll bring my lunch."

He looked at his plate.

"You don't have to. Looks like Cami has given enough."

He grabbed her hand and made her sit with him.

She looked at him like a curious child when he filled her plate and placed in front of her.

"Thank you!"

He admired her as she started eating and was too focused on it.

"What about your school?"

"Open school."

She replied and looked at him as he cut his food with the fork and placed it in his mouth. She didn't think that someone can look this much sexy while doing regular thing. He separated the beans from his plate and she giggled softly.

He looked at her curiously.

"Why did you giggle?"

She shook her head.

"Nothing!"

She grabbed her juice to hide her naughty smile.

"Dove?"

He kept looking at her.

She placed her glass down.

"Sir also separate beans from his plate... You two are so similar."

He raised his eyebrows amused.

"So you do notice us?... People don't think we are same. We doesn't have anything in common."

"You do!"

She answered.

"Really?"

He wanted to hear more.

"Like?"

"To be honest. I can't make out the difference until I see your eyes. Your faces are so similar. If Sir would wear clothes like you then it will be more difficult..."

She was excited to tell more.

"When you chuckle you sound exactly like him and when he laughs, it feels like you are laughing... You both don't like beans. You both have mole on your neck. And you both make the same noise when you are angry, frustrated or annoyed... Being twins is really fascinating, isn't it? It must be exciting to watch your mirror image."

Arthur smiled bitterly, it's quite opposite. They don't like to be like each other. In fact they are fighting to create separate identities.

"Why exciting?"

"Whenever you are in doubt about your outfit, you can make him wear it and then you will find out how it looks on you. Simple! I would have loved to do that if I had a doppelganger."

She grinned making him chuckle. He was also enjoying and admiring her little talks.

The time with Arthur in study went in blur and she went back to orphanage on her new bicycle.

The most excited person was Julie when she saw it. She didn't stop taking pictures.

Arabella was slowly getting comfortable with both the brothers. They were making her feel good and happy.

She thought her time with them would be hard and she will be on verge of having heartattack but it was quite opposite.

She couldn't understand why but they both were spending alternate day with her.

"These are so beautiful, I love these... Thank you, Sir."

She inhaled the fresh smell of the flowers.

"But these looks expensive."

"Very cheap in front of your smile..."

Oliver smiled.

"Don't worry, you will see them everyday in your bicycle basket... But you have to remember me whenever you look at them."

She grinned.

"Ofcourse..."

Arthur was watching him with scowl from the door. As Oliver said, he managed to ruin gift for him.

"Oliver, can we talk?"

He looked at his brother and smirked, knowing exactly what he wants to talk.

"Sure!"

Arabella went inside when brothers walked out of the main gate. She started helping Cami in the kitchen and then realised that brothers haven't come back yet.

"Can you call them for breakfast, everything is ready."

Cami was busy in her task.

"Okay"

Arabella exited the kitchen and started looking for them. She looked out of the window which gives the view of the backside of the house.

The brothers were behind the house, out of the compound. She walked out of the main gate and went towards them.

"Sir, Chief!"

She called them, not realising that they are having heated argument.

"Go back!"

Both of them ordered, clearly not happy that she is there.

She was taken back by their tone. She understood that something is wrong so she turned around to leave but suddenly a rabbit passed by her feet. She curiously looked at the direction and followed it.

The grass was tall and was covering the path ahead. She didn't realise that back of the house has deep trench and it's dangerous.

She naively followed the rabbit without looking ahead. Oliver noticed her between the argument and yelled.

"Hey, don't go there."

Arabella flinched with his sudden yell and sharply turned towards them losing her balance while doing that.

They both saw her crying out loud and trying to hold on to something but nothing was there. She looked down and her heart shuddered at the height of the trench.

"No!"

They both yelled in unison and rushed towards her.
