37. True Friend?

Author's POV

"No, I'll try by myself..."

Arabella grabbed the gun.

They let her try but as expected, she missed the target and her face fell.

"Let's go!"

She didn't want to waste money.

"Wait!"

Arthur grabbed her hand and pulled her back.

"Try again. You can do it."

He got another coupon for her.

She tried again for five times but missed it.

"I give up."

She huffed.

"We are wasting money."

"Don't worry they have plenty."

Garry chuckled while buying another coupon.

"We have spent more than it costs. It doesn't make sense."

She shook her head in disapproval.

"You are my friend, Kitten. You are not allowed to give up."

Oliver guided her to hold the gun. She looked back at him when his arms wrapped around her. Her hands were shaking which was making her miss the target.

Arthur supported her hand and pointed at the target.

"You have shaky hands, Dove."

"Your bosses know how to work in sink."

Julie raised her eyes amused.

"You are too young to comment on that."

Noah said annoyed.

"I am eighteen, already!"

She poked her tongue out mockingly.

"I am talking about mental age. You are still five years old."

He mocked back and she scowled.

"Shoot!"

Arthur ordered and she pulled the trigger, hitting the target.

"Ahhh! I did it."

She started jumping excitedly and hugged Julie.

"Did you see that? I did it."

Julie was jumping along with her.

"Yeah! We have four toys now... Jenny will be in flames."

She squealed.

Brothers were laughing looking at their happiness.

"Thank you! I love you guys so much."

Arabella said in excitement and walked ahead with Julie, without realising what she just said.

Arthur and Oliver froze when she said that. Those words spread like sparks in their body.

They both controlled the feelings and looked at each other.

"She didn't mean it."

Arthur scratched his chin awkwardly.

"Yeah, she was just excited."

Oliver nodded furiously in agreement.

After recovery they followed girls. They wanted to enjoy rides but as usual brothers had different opinions on who should go with Arabella and at the end of the day she got tired of their fights.

It was late evening when they finished playing.

"Why you two always fight? You should work together, you are a great team."

She asked as they headed towards the restaurant.

"Tell him!"

They both said in unison.

She huffed.

"You guys are impossible. But cute also."

She pinched their cheeks and giggled.

Brothers were loving the way she was getting free with them. They were becoming friends in true way.

"Green!"

Noah grabbed Julie's hand and pulled her back.

"Do something which will make her stay with them tonight."

He ordered.

"Have some shame, she is a minor."

Julie scolded.

"Stupid, I know that. It's just so they can spend more time."

He scolded her back.

"What will I get in return?"

She grinned naughtily.

"Shame, you are asking for a bribe to trick your friend."

He shook his head dramatically.

"Shame, you want me to do it for free."

She mocked in the same tone.

He groaned frustrated.

"What do you want?"

"Some dollars!"

She replied.

"Knew it!"

He looked disgusted.

"Girls like you think about just money."

He handed her all the cash he had.

Julie grabbed it.

"Yep! So I can buy some good clothes for Arabella which she can wear in university. She gives all her salary to Matilda... She don't have proper clothes, Mr. Richy Rich."

She smiled bitterly and walked away.

Noah felt the pang of guilt when he realised that he shouldn't have judge her so quickly.

"Damn! But wait, Arabella is leaving for University? Does Oliver know about it?"

He cursed.

They sat at the restaurant to have dinner.

"Oh shit! I forgot that we crossed the curfew time. Sister Crystin told me to be back before 8pm."

Julie lied.

"And you didn't tell me?"

Arabella panicked.

"Now what?"

"It's okay! Come with us... We will play games tonight. It will be fun."

Noah suggested.

"He is so sweet. We would love to."

Julie quickly replied on behalf of Arabella.

She looked at brothers who nodded with smile which made her blush.

After dinner they drove back to house and Garry got the message.

"Arthur, our men have noticed suspicious presence in the warehouse."

He informed.

"We need to go then."

Arthur got alert.

"Noah, alert men."

Oliver ordered and looked at girls.

"You two go inside the house. We will be back."

Arabella looked at them worriedly, recalling last time when they fought with men.

"But you two?"

She mumbled nervously.

"We will be back in no time."

Arthur assured.

"Go!"

Girls got out of the car and they drove away. They entered the house and rested in guest room. Julie was unbothered but Arabella wasn't, she sat outside on the lawn to wait for them.

"What are you waiting for?"

Julie came out and sat beside her.

"I am worried about them?"

She huffed, looking at the gate. Wishing that they enter the gate out of nowhere.

"Them?"

Julie teased.

"Not him or one of them?"

Arabella just sighed.

"I don't know."

Julie smiled and grabbed her hand.

"Arabella, what's going on? I have seen you around them. Your attention is on both of them."

"I don't understand what to do?"

She sounded defeated.

"I am a fool... Nothing but a stupid girl who is playing with her life."

"What's going on?... You know you can tell me and I won't judge you... We are friends."

Julie assured.

Arabella took a deep breath, still hesitant to confess.

"I have started liking both of them."

Julie gasped in horror.

"Oh my fucking goodness!"
