38. Furious Grey!
Dark Temptation!
Author's POV
"See, you are already judging me."
Arabella covered her face embarrassed.
Julie cleared her throat.
"No, sweetheart."
She removed hands from her face.
"It's normal. We are allowed to fall in love in teenage age as it's stupid age."
She looked at her sadly.
"I am ashamed of myself... Am I characterless?"
"You? No way."
She scowled.
"I somehow knew that you might fall for both of them... It's in your eyes."
Arabella leaned back to the swing with a sigh.
"Do they see that too?"
"How did it happen? What are your thoughts?"
Julie asked curiously.
Arabella looked at the moon with soft smile.
"You know why I look at the moon?"
"Because when you look at it, you don't feel alone."
She replied, recalling that she looks at the moon every night.
"You told me once."
"When I am with them, I don't feel like looking at the moon."
Her smile bloomed.
"I never feel alone when they are around me."
Julie was clueless.
"But we don't feel alone when people are around us."
"Physically, yes! But what about loneliness you feel from within?"
Arabella's eyes turned glossy.
"I always craved for the emotional attachment in my life which I never got. People came and brutally left. Moon was the only thing which was constant. Yes, it hides for few nights but as promised, it comes back too... I am an orphan, abandoned by destiny itself. My importance is nothing in people's life..."
She wiped her tears.
"Until I met them... They make me feel special, not just for the sake of it but in true sense... Sir, took the bullet for me without thinking even for a second. Chief jumped from the cliff without thinking about his own safety. I never thought that someone will do these kind of things for me. The way they look at me, I feel beautiful. I have a ugly scarred life and they are like soothing cure for it."
"I never think that deep."
Julie smiled bitterly.
"Matilda says that person who has gone through so much can talk like this... I don't know what you have gone through but if you have finally found the cure for it then you are not characterless."
"Whenever I look at them, they feel like a same person to me. It's like one soul and two bodies with different eye colours. They both have qualities which attracts me. Whenever one of them is missing, it feels like something is incomplete. It only feels complete when both of them are together."
She confessed as tears dripped from her eyes.
"Julie?"
"Why are you crying?"
Julie got worried.
"Am I delusional? Will I ever manage to get the love of my life?"
She hugged her tightly and Julie rubbed her back.
"I have a fear that I am going to lose something..."
"No, stupid... Why are you thinking like that?"
Julie tried to comfort her.
"They both like you... I know that you can sense that too."
Arabella broke the hug and wiped her tears.
"Maybe but they are not together... They always fight. If they find out that I like them both them hell will break through..."
"That's also true. Then what are you going to do?"
Julie questioned.
"Will you confess?"
Arabella smiled bitterly.
"Does it even makes sense? Isn't it obvious that they will call me crazy for falling for both of them. I can never confess this stupidity..."
"Then?"
Julie got worried.
"I won't confess."
She declared.
"I'll leave for university. Give myself some time to think about it... We are worlds apart. Their lives are completely different than mine. We don't belong to each other... So, I'll be good girl and will spend rest of these days with them happily. I'll enjoy their company as much as I can and will leave with sweet memories."
Julie smiled.
"I am with you, whatever decision you make."
"Thank you!"
Arabella hugged her again.
"You are the best friend I have ever got... Please never ever go away from me."
"Is that even a question?"
She hugged her back tightly.
"But now I am going to do that because I am sleepy and you don't seem to go inside without your two handsome men..."
Arabella chuckled.
"Okay, go..."
Julie went inside and she sat there waiting for them.
She didn't realise when sleep took over her until large hand touched her cheek. She jolted out of the sleep.
"Hey, it's okay... It's me!"
Oliver caressed her cheek gently until she got over her trauma.
She rubbed her eyes.
"You are back!"
"What are you doing out?"
He sat beside her.
"Kitten, what is this? You have mosquito bites all over face."
"I was waiting for you two.. I was worried..."
She mumbled sadly.
"Why do you always have to fight with bad men? I don't like it."
Oliver smiled and pulled her in his embrace. He took off his jacket and wrapped it around her.
"We are used to it... But you are not allowed to harm yourself for us. You are going to fall sick because of it..."
He cupped her face worriedly.
"Promise me that you will never stress yourself or will never do anything which will cause you pain because of us... We will never like it."
He froze when she hugged him.
"I was worried about you."
She hugged him tightly.
His smile bloomed and he hugged her back.
"Don't be!"
"Where is Chief?"
She broke the hug.
He cleared his throat.
"He had to take care of something... He will be coming in no time."
She grew worried.
"Is he okay?"
He nodded.
"He is okay, kitten... You don't have to worry about him. He knows how to take care of himself."
"I'll always worry about you two. Equally!"
She complained.
He just stared at her blankly. He doesn't like her caring about his brother but he can't deny that Arthur has also created a special space in her life.
"Let's go inside."
"Can I wait here until he comes? I'll feel restless if I go inside."
She requested.
He sighed.
"It's cold here___"
Her face fell and he huffed.
"Fine, I'll stay here with you."
Arabella rested on his chest when he pulled her closer. After sometime Arthur's car entered the gate and he saw her sleeping on Oliver's chest.
His heart felt the pang of sadness, seeing her with him feels like he is loosing his life.
Garry saw the sadness on Arthur's face and patted his back.
Arthur got out of the car and looked at Arabella confused when she sprinted out of Oliver's lap and threw herself in his arms.
His sad heart bloomed when she hugged him tightly.
"What took you so long?"
She complained.
He smiled, not believing that he was really experiencing this. He hugged her tightly, almost hiding her in his huge frame.
"You were waiting for me?!"
He kissed her head.
"Of course!"
She broke the hug and scolded him.
"You always make me worry."
He chuckled.
"I am sorry. I'll definitely compensate for it..."
"Kitten, he is here... Go inside now... You are cold."
Oliver got up from the swing and ordered.
"I have something to talk to my brother."
Arabella could sense the tension but nodded. She went inside and Oliver punched Arthur's face.
"You didn't tell me that she is leaving for University. I didn't know that you are a cheater. Can't play fair?"
Oliver gritted madly.
"You thought that I won't find out about you trying to hide it from me?"
Arthur cracked the jaw he just punched.
"I don't owe you anything. Find out your own things..."
He pushed Oliver back madly.
"I would! if you won't mess around me... You are crossing limits in this, Arthur... Do you really want to play dirty games?"
Oliver snarled.
Arthur smirked and mocked.
"You are just jealous that she ran towards me from your arms. I think we already know the answer to our game."
The argument turned heated and they got into physical fight which no one wanted.
Garry tried to stop them but he couldn't. Giving up he called Noah for help.
Arabella had freshened up and was walking towards the kitchen when she saw Noah running outside, he was terrified.
"Noah, what happened?"
"Stay inside?"
He ordered while locking the door from outside.
Arabella tried to open the door but failed.
"Noah. What's wrong?"
She got worried. Julie heard the noise and came out while yawning.
Arabella rushed towards the window and opened it. Her jaw dropped on the floor when she saw brothers fighting.
"Chief, Sir!"
She called them and tried to stop but they were out of control.
"Oh my god!"
Julie gasped when she saw the intense fight. It wasn't some street fight, they were using martial arts and the best one they have learnt till now.
"Is there anyone who can stop them?"
Arabella yelled in panic.
"See that!"
Julie pointed out of the window.
Arthur and Oliver were separated from each other with such blows that they fell on the ground on opposite sides, both of them were tasting dust now.
Garry and Noah started shaking in fear when they realised who separated them.
"We are fucked now."
Noah cursed silently.
Arabella saw how both the brothers struggled to get up for a moment after receiving a hard blow on the chest. She turned her head and saw those furious grey eyes glaring at both of them.
