43. The Order!
Dark Temptation!
Author's POV
"So, she is just a maid?"
Damian glared at them. His dark aura radiating with the power which could eat them alive.
"Doesn't matter what she is to you or us. She is innocent and we didn't expect this cruelty from you. You are our idol."
Arthur sounded disappointed.
Damian leaned forward and grabbed the spoonful of the same powder and mixed it in his tea. Their eyes widened when he took a sip.
"It's not sour..."
He placed the cup down and they realised that he was just testing them and they failed.
"Dad!"
Oliver gulped.
Damian threw the cup across the room angrily while getting up.
"She is fucking minor, you idiots!"
He growled.
"What were you even thinking?"
He grabbed their collars in both hands angrily.
"I am going to chop off these dirty hands for doing the things I didn't teach you..."
"Dad, we didn't touch her..."
Arthur assured but his face was filled with guilt.
"We know our limits... We are your blood and we know how to respect that."
"We have just protected her till now, Dad... We didn't do anything else."
Oliver replied.
Damian could see the sincereness in their eyes. He let go off their collars.
"Okay, but what is going on?... Are you sharing the girl?"
He asked sternly.
"No!"
Both of them said in unison and glared at each other.
"We will ask her choice when she turns eighteen and the one she chooses will be her man. Other one have to back off."
Oliver answered.
Damian scoffed.
"I have never heard something so stupid..."
He leaned against the table and folded his hands over his chest.
"One will marry her and other will burn in flames of heartbreak for the rest of his life. Watching his first love living the life with his brother..."
He shook his head.
"Have you seen yourselves looking at each other? Your eyes are already filled with hate for your brother... I would die before watching my sons trying to take each other's life... I had only one dream and that was to see you ruling the mafia world. Knights who will be fearless and inevitable but here, my sons don't even want to see each other's faces... You never disappointed me so much."
Arthur sighed.
"Dad___"
Damian stopped him. He was the dictator now.
"I give you only two options... Either you share the girl or no one gets her."
"It's impossible!"
Both of them growled.
Damian smirked evilly. Looking straight into their eyes with deadly look.
"You really want to see what your father can do? I'll make her vanish like she never existed. You won't be able to see her shadow even. Don't fucking challenge me."
They know that he can really do it so there was no argument about it.
"Share her or forget about her because I don't want anyone and anything to divide Knights. She won't be the one giving you answer, you will tell her your final decision."
He ordered.
"We will think about it."
Arthur replied, not so happy about his order. But right now they can't oppose him.
"Good or else I'll be forced to think."
He warned.
"And don't let your mother find about this or else she will marinate you first and will cook me later."
Arabella was setting the table with Cami.
"Is she always so cold?"
She mumbled.
"I thought person needs to be emotional to make a family. It's important to hold them together."
"She is not always cold... She loves them."
Cami chuckled.
"How she express her love? By guns and strict rules?... Is it really possible for someone like her to feel something about others. Jenny told me that she was assassin who was ruthless."
She was curious about it.
"The love in heart, worry on face and emotions in eyes. Is that possible for her?"
She flinched and screamed when she heard sudden gunshots.
"Jesus!"
Cami looked out.
"Why Mr. Knight is looking so angry?"
She saw Damian shooting targets in the garden.
Last time Arabella saw him with brothers in the study room, she grew worried thinking something might have gone wrong between them.
She came out of the kitchen and saw Rose rushing out, towards Damian.
"Worry on the face."
She mumbled when Rose crossed her.
Arabella hid behind the door and watched them as Rose stood between Damian's gun and the target. He stopped and lowered the gun.
"Since when you started taking help of bullets to share your frustration?"
She asked, gently taking the gun from his hands.
"Your Rose is here."
He closed his eyes in pain and she hugged him. He was worried that he might loose his sons.
"Love in the heart."
Arabella watched them hugging each other with love.
"I didn't want to disturb you, Angel... I am sorry."
He broke the hug and sat on the swing.
Rose knelt in front of him and gently grabbed his hand in promising hold.
"My each and every second is dedicated to you. Do I have to remind you this?"
Her eyes looked at him with the same pain which she was seeing in his eyes.
"You have a right to disturb me whenever you want... I am there anytime you need but I can't see this pain in your eyes."
"Emotions in the eyes."
Arabella mumbled as her eyes watered.
"You have it all, I am sorry for judging you..."
She looked at them adoringly as they shared their feelings.
"Will I ever be able to get this kind of love?"
She went back to Cami and set the table. Knights came for the dinner and she was standing with Cami to help her.
"Arabella, you should go now... It's late."
Cami said and everyone looked at her.
"Garry will drop you... It's late, don't go alone."
Arthur ordered.
Oliver stayed quiet as it was his day.
"Yeah! You shouldn't stay here this late anyway."
Damian suggested.
"It's not safe!"
He looked mockingly at his sons.
"It was because of Christmas work, Mr. Knight"
She replied.
"I'll take your leave now."
"Why don't you stay here?"
Everyone froze when Rose spoke.
Arabella gulped and turned towards Rose who placed her glass down and looked at her with those cold grey eyes.
Garry and Noah looked at brothers who were looking shocked equally as them. They looked at Damian to see if he has told her anything but he looked surprised too.
"Angel?"
No one knows what's going on in her mind and the late response was making Arabella dazzle with anxiety.
