44. All The Best!
Dark Temptation!
Author's POV
"It's quite late and roads are deserted, it's not safe for her to go this late and people can't drop her every night as she will be late often because of the festival... It's better if she stays here, it's convenient for everyone."
Rose suggested.
Damian looked at him sons who were looking pleased with the decision because they would get to see her all the time but he didn't want it, because he knows that it will fuel their infatuation.
"I don't think it's necessary... She can leave early if time is becoming an issue."
"Sir, can I say something?"
Cami stepped forward.
"It will really helpful for me if she stays here. She is a great help."
"Exactly! There is lot of work. She can't leave early."
Rose agreed.
"Do you mind staying here till new year?"
She looked at Arabella.
Arabella looked at her like dear caught in headlights, she was scared that she will offend her if she says no, so she nodded her head in agreement.
"Problem solved!"
Rose declared and resumed her dinner.
Damian sighed and started eating, the decision was made anyway.
After work Arabella went to the room which was allocated to her. The room was of perfect size for her. It was cozy and warm.
She looked out of the window to look at the moon but it was hidden behind the clouds. Her eyes fell on Arthur and Oliver who were sitting on the swing in the garden.
They weren't talking, just sitting there silently and staring into nothing.
Both of them were thinking about the decision they have to make.
"I don't know what to do."
Arthur released a heavy sigh.
"Me neither!"
Oliver agreed.
"Dad will never let us do what we want."
"We can't let her go and and can't share her either. Both options are devastating."
Arthur replied.
"I agree! But I know one thing, she isn't going anywhere... No matter what I have to do."
Oliver rubbed his face frustrated.
"Who isn't going anywhere?"
They both looked back when they heard Arabella.
"You were supposed to be asleep by now."
Arthur said when she walked towards them.
She smiled and sat between them, making space for herself. Both of them looked at each other when she hooked her arms with both of them.
"I wanted to see moon, but looks like it's is not in the mood to show me it's face. So I came to people who make me feel good."
They both smiled.
"You like moon too much."
Oliver has always seen her admiring it.
"Yes, I'll tell you the reason some other day."
She replied.
"What are you doing here? It's rare to see you both chilling together... I am surprised that you are sitting quietly after turning each other's faces black and blue."
"You have started talking so much."
Arthur chuckled while pinching her cheek.
She grinned.
"It's fun! But seriously, you two look worried. What happened?"
"We are stuck somewhere."
Oliver released a heavy sigh.
"We both like one thing and we don't want to share it... We never share things... And we don't want to let it go either..."
"Is that thing more important than your egos and desires?"
She asked with soft smile.
"It must be because you don't want to let it go."
"Right! It's more important than anything."
Arthur agreed.
"Then share it because that's the only way you can have it... If it's matters more than anything then your egos can be set aside."
She suggested.
"I don't know what you are thinking but I guess it's better than loosing the thing."
They both were still not ready to think about sharing her.
"It's late, go sleep now!"
Oliver kissed her head.
"Don't worry about our problems. We will figure out."
She smiled and kissed his cheek.
"Okay!"
She kissed Arthur's cheek too.
"Good night!"
They looked at her when she walked inside.
"I hate you, Arthur."
Oliver mumbled, still feeling her kiss on the cheek.
Arthur was caressing his cheek which she kissed.
"And who said that I love you."
He mocked back.
Next morning everyone left for the work, Arabella was doing her job. She went to Rose's room and gasped when she saw her reading a book on the bed.
Rose looked up and saw her scared face.
"I am not going to eat you. Do your job and leave!"
She ordered and looked back at her book.
Arabella thought she left with everyone but she was here. Now it will be difficult for her to clean in front of her. She can't even go back.
Giving up she started cleaning, Rose wasn't even paying attention to her. Arabella almost knocked down the vase because of nervousness but caught it on the right time. She thought Rose will scold her but she didn't even look at her.
She felt guilty for judging her badly. She wasn't that rude to her, actually she was never rude.
"Ma'am..."
She finally called her.
Rose realised that she finally talked to her but didn't show much interest.
"Hmm?"
She flipped the page.
"I am sorry."
She mumbled nervously playing with the dusting cloth.
"Vase is not broken so I guess it's not needed."
Rose replied, flipped another page.
"No, I am sorry for the other day. For spilling juice on you."
She said nervously and her heart skipped a bit when Rose finally looked up at her.
"Took you three working days?"
Rose raised her eyebrows amused.
"You are fast!"
She looked embarrassed.
"Sorry!"
"It's okay!"
Rose grabbed her phone when it rang.
"I forgot about it!"
Arabella smiled when she didn't scold her and resumed her work. Rose finished the call and looked at her again.
"Do you know the warehouse?"
Arabella turned towards her and nodded.
"Yes"
She went there with Oliver once.
"Good!"
Rose grabbed the file from the drawer.
"Can you deliver it to Damian? All are working there."
Arabella looked at her feet which had sprain bandage and understood why she was home today. It was a good chance for her to impress her.
"I'll do it!"
"File is important... Be careful!"
She handed it to her.
"Okay!"
She walked out of the room and Rose watched her leaving.
"All the best"
Rose mumbled with smirk and looked back to her book.
